So, we're finally coming to the shoot and I first want to talk about equipment and
I'm afraid I'm gonna disappoint you immediately because I'm not gonna talk
about this and that camera and this nut lens and all of that I'm gonna talk
about three things and three things only that is number one your smart phone
number two some kind of a microphone and number three some kind of a way to prop
up your camera and that can actually be a sec of books if you want so the smart
phone goes without saying it's whatever smartphone you help you're you're you're
you have in your back pocket or you live with as far as the tripod or the device
that holds up the phone goes I love these guys because they travel really
easily the legs are completely adjustable in every which direction and
the little blue ends are actually magnetic which is awesome if you want to
hang up the you know your tripod upside down for instance of a lamp which is
what I'm doing right now and then you can yet you know just clip your phone in
here and this thing is like 30 bucks on Amazon microphone is a little bit more
of the stories so I'm using it clip on which lives right here
it's a Sennheiser it's a fairly expensive microphone which I think is
worth it for me I love Sennheiser it comes with this ridiculous clip-on which
I don't use because it wasn't designed by humans or it wasn't at least not
designed for humans but what I use is this double sticky tape to get the clip
on so it's if it tapes twice right once on my skin and wants to to the piece of
clothing without ruining either so if you have an iPhone 7 or newer model I
would recommend you actually not use a microphone and unless you want to use
this microphone which is $199 and you know how to boost volume in in when you
edit because that's what it needs it needs a boost it's very low if you have
a iPhone 6 or a smartphone or older iPhone 6 or older or a smartphone
I will go on Amazon and I would buy a whatever Amazon says is the best seller
in the 25 dollar range you can also not shoot with a microphone and or not with
a clip-on microphone and just use whatever microphone is built-in into
your smartphone for something like this where it's fairly quiet I'm very close
I'm like two feet if that from my phone I actually don't need a microphone
I'd be fine just with the recording from the phone if you were in a noisier place
a little further away and you didn't have a microphone what you can do is use
a second smartphone and then in order to make sure that you can sync up the audio
track when you when you edit and then editing becomes a little more
complicated what you would do is you will clap in your hands so the sharp
sound of the clap allows you to match up the two audio tracks to the frame and
and so everything is in sync afterwards so long story short three things you
need a smartphone you need some kind of a weight to prop up your phone if it's
not a book I recommend the Joby and you need a microphone if at all and those
are the three things that I recommend you get so have fun with it and don't
spend money on any expensive other items if you're just starting out sorry
have a good time with it. Ciao!
