code so this is a current malfunction and that is for the camshaft adjust position a

Actuator Circuit Bank - so that's for the that's for the variable valve timing

Okay, so let's go check our stability control codes here

Let's go back to go back to select system

And we're gonna find abs and Vehicle Stability and trac

Double-click on

I'll go to trouble codes, and there's no code so right now

The check engine light is causing

The traction light to be on so for whatever reason

On the computer saying because of the engine fault

There's no

traction control

Capability right now so it automatically shuts it off

All right, so I'm gonna pull up the diagnostic procedure for this code, and do a quick visual inspection underneath the hood

Okay well first we're gonna do a visual inspection on this cam actuator or

valve timing actuator you could call it the color

We're getting over the c0020 to zero which is a left bank on this one

That's gonna be on the driver's side and as you can see it's underneath the intake manifold there

And I think we got some

Some nice or some kind of rodents here because it looks like the end of the cable was actually chewed off and there was some

evidence down the intake area of

Nice being in here so this one's gonna be a pretty easy fix

Just gonna have to order a new pigtail and wire it in there if this wasn't the case

normally what I do is I would just pull this actuator out and

Test it right on the bench make sure the plungers moving back and forth check the resistance of the valve

Make sure the oil level in the vehicle is proper

Which is required for these things to work the way they're supposed to but

Quick tip to prevent this from happening stick the mothballs underneath your hood

Okay, I believe we have this circuit all repaired for the p00 to zero cam position a actuate a circuit Bank

We ordered a new pigtail, and we wired it in reconnected it so now we're just going to

We're gonna go ahead and be down here and erase it diagnostic trouble codes

Using Toyota Techsteam Software clear codes. codes clear yes, all right, so it's all been cleared out

Sut the car off

Restart it

Sure lights are out. All right later. I'll out or looking good

I'll probably do a drive cycle on this just all the monitor

Just can set make sure we don't have any other issues, but it looks like this one is fixed

- Hi, I'm Aron Goodden, Product Advisor at Orleans Toyota.

Today, I'm gonna be taking you through a walk around

of the 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport.

Now this vehicle is equipped with a triple tech frame

which adds to the rigidity of the vehicle itself.

The body panels have all been made stronger

by a process called hot stamping.

The vehicle also comes with marker lights mounted

on the mirrors to give you better visibility when turning.

On the wheels side, we have 16 inch alloy wheels

mounted with Goodyear Wrangler tires.

When it comes to Toyota, we don't skimp on the tires.

They're gonna last and they're gonna hold up.

Toyota Tacoma has tons of space.

Opening it from the access cab,

you will find easy seating for up to four adults,

and additional storage with the rear seats folded up

to make room for anything else that you need to store.

Now new for 2018 with the Toyota Tacoma is the inclusion

of Toyota Safety Sense P.

Inside our logo are the electronics necessary

to make that safety system work the way it needs to work.

As part of Toyota Safety Sense P,

this vehicle comes with pre-collision system

and pedestrian avoidance detection.

What that means is, is that you've all seen the commercials

when somebody steps out in front of the vehicle.

Your vehicle will detect them,

and apply the brakes automatically for you.

Now as you can tell it's very bright in our showroom,

so I moved over here to talk about

Dynamic Radar Cruise Control,

another part of the Toyota Safety Sense.

Now picture this.

You've set your cruise control.

You've taken your foot off the gas,

and you're enjoying a nice, easy cruise

when all the sudden somebody jumps in front of you.

Now as soon as they jump in front of you,

if they're slower than you are,

your vehicle will automatically match their speed.

Best of all, if you're not happy about the distance

between you and the other vehicle,

there's a simple one touch button on your steering wheel

that adjusts the distance between

while still maintaining that vehicle's speed.

Now best of all, when that vehicle finally leaves the lane,

your vehicle will remember exactly

what speed you originally set it at,

and resume that cruising speed.

All without disengaging and reengaging the system.

That's Toyota Safety Sense.

Another really cool feature about Toyota Safety Sense P

is Lane Departure Alert.

If you cross that yellow line, an alert will sound

reminding you to pay attention to what's going on,

and allow you to make the necessary

corrections to the vehicle.

We've all been there.

You're driving down a dark road.

Someone comes toward you with their high beams on.

It can be quite annoying and quite distracting.

But this year's Toyota Tacoma equipped

to Toyota Safety Sense comes with automatic high beams.

So, if you forget to turn off your high beams

when someone's coming towards you,

the vehicle will turn the high beams off while the vehicle

passes you and then reapply those high beams for you.

Now all Toyota vehicles come equipped

with our Star Safety System which includes

vehicle stability control, traction control,

anti-lock brake system, electronic brake-force distribution,

brake assist and Smart Stop Technology.

Let's talk about competition.

In the case of the Toyota Tacoma,

major competition would be the Nissan Frontier.

Now the Nissan Frontier, the first thing we're gonna notice

is that it does not come with Toyota Safety Sense.

less horsepower, and only comes with a five speed manual

where the Tacoma comes with a six speed manual

or six speed automatic transmission.

As you can see, I'm still hiding from the sun,

but let's put it this way the 2018 Toyota Tacoma is awesome.
