hey guys II see RG here today we've got a very very very great video for you

this is how to ask for lunch or coffee with a key stakeholder one that can

change your life potentially coming up after the intro hey guys ECR G here

today we're talking about how to ask for lunch or coffee with a key stakeholder

now this is very very important because just simply asking is well for one they

may not say yes or no to that they may give you know if you don't give this one

thing to them but by not asking you are potentially missing out on the greatest

opportunity of your life or your career you have no idea what that person will

say in a lot of times just simply asking you might get exactly what you want just

ask the question guy just ask so without further ado we're gonna come up with a

couple ways for you to ask for a key stakeholder or someone you admire

someone you look up to maybe you know them on LinkedIn maybe you know them

personally how to ask them for coffee or lunch now the first thing you've got to

do is you've got to be able to provide them value now what kind of value you're

probably saying you don't know this person there's nothing you can offer

them it's not like you have a business where you're selling t-shirts or some

things you can offer them a t-shirt what what kind of value can I offer this

person well for one thing there's emotional value so what if it's a friend

maybe that you know and you just want to catch up with them you can ask them for

coffee or lunch just just basically out the goodness of the heart because you're

friends with them they'll likely say yes but if it's someone that you have no

idea about or you know you or they don't know much about you and they're brand

new to you well one of the key things that I like to do personally is when you

see them around the office whether you see them you

on the lunchroom you introduce yourself you become friends with them first and

then you asked then you come with the ask for a coffee or lunch and you you

know you can phrase it like you don't have to become friends with them or you

see them around the office a bunch you know their name obviously you could say

hey I would really like to get lunch with you maybe we could talk more about

X or hey you know I'd really like to get some coffee with you one day before work

or maybe you know a lunch break or something like that to talk to you about

why so that's a really good way to you know let someone know you first they see

around the office you've talked to them a few times and then you give them a

reason why you want to talk about or what you want to talk about so it's not

weird so it's not like you're asking about on a date or anything like that of

course with all these allegations coming out you want to be wary about how it can

come off so it's easy to just you know say why you want to meet them out of the

office for whatever reason so that's something to keep in mind so you've got

to provide value and that's one way to do it become friends with them now

another way to do it is to if you if you are in a position of power you can

provide them information that they may want and it can be a dual exchange like

that so it's not just one what one-sided now let's say because we're in clinical

research we talk about let's say you're in data management and you want to have

lunch with a project manager maybe you want to be a project manager one day we

want to make that move there's obviously a clear coexistence may be the project

manager wants to know a little bit more about data management and the data

manager wasn't a little bit more about project management that's a good match

for you guys to go have a coffee together and you can provide them value

they can provide you some value so that's an equal exchange but what about

what is not so obvious how can you ask like for example on LinkedIn you see

someone on LinkedIn that you want to get coffee or lunch with how can you provide

them value in order to finally get a coffee or lunch out of them now that's a

much harder question so there's there's not obviously one way to do it

or one simple way to do this but you can

try to just ask method the the spray-and-pray

you ask a lot of people because it's too hard to come with a value proposition

and that works sometimes to another one I like to do is you asked for something

lesser of them so maybe maybe a coffee like to meet them out for them to waste

their gas and their time for you meet them out is a little too much of an ask

you feel like so why don't you ask them for a 10-minute phone call or you can

talk on the phone they can do that anywhere anyplace and you can ask them

the questions you may have and then later as you develop your relationship

you've asked for that lunch or that coffee in person meeting and you can

dive more into those topics that you want to ask them about but how do you

provide value upfront well it comes from what you have you've got to analyze what

you have to offer if you have nothing to offer there's there's usually something

everyone can offer but if you have if you feel like you have nothing to offer

or you don't know what you have to offer you've got to first analyze that and see

what you can offer and then you and then you offer them whatever you have to

offer whether it's you know someone who's looking for a mentor you can be

you in offer to be their mentee or you can offer to work for them for free

you can offer them you know some advice if you have some advice on certain

things you've got to think about what you have to offer that person and then

it becomes easier to get them out to for the ask on whether you want lunch or

coffee or whatever it is or a drink also you want to think about maybe you know

that person really likes a certain restaurant so the asking the self is you

pay for a dinner to that restaurant you can find out a lot about a people on

social media so I hate to sound all stalkerish and stuff but everyone

usually has a Facebook or an Instagram with pictures so you can see where they

like to go where they like to be and you can say hey I know you may like

such-and-such restaurant how do we go there have a quick bite on me

so that can be the offer as well and the value that you provide so multiple

different ways to provide value usually someone is gonna have a lot harder time

saying yes to something where there's no value no value proposition for them so

make it easy on people by providing them some kind of value you know usually not

monetary there's gonna have to be something added on top you know some

other reason for them to want to be there with you to get lunch or coffee so

I hope that was helpful for you guys this is something that's very very

important literally I've gotten positions just on

people that I've known and people are like man how did you hide you get that

position how did you get into that how did you do that people you know

networking networking networking so always beyond always make sure that you

have a call it a sales funnel always have a way to get people into your

funnel whether it's a name don't discount any single person whether

you're at the gym working out whether you're you know walking to your deck or

your car deck or your carport or something anyone everyone everyone

network network network just because they can't help you today doesn't mean

they can't help you in five years and they're likely gonna remember you if you

were nice to them or you were an asshole to them so network network network so

that was a quick video maybe some pointers some tips on how you can ask

someone for lunch or coffee usually the easiest way is in person I feel like it

was the easiest way if people find a lot harder to say no in person rather than

through a screen so keep that in mind it's a lot easier to say no do a

LinkedIn message than it is in person so keep that in mind guys as always like

again with another one for ya this time here at Carl's jr. to take a look at a

brand new sweet treat they have on the menu to help me beat the heat this

summer in the form of their hand scooped mocha coffee milkshake and judging by

how inviting this already looks with its coffee infused hand scooped vanilla ice

cream this is already winning guys topped off with whipped cream and a

mocha drizzle I am already ready to get into this so let's not waste any more

time because I am straight up melting right now it's the hand scooped mocha

coffee milkshake here at Carl's jr. hmm that is really thick mmm

oh my god guys a couple of years back I reviewed their iced coffee here and this

is essentially that on steroids a very thick ice cream you can really tell this

is hand scooped seriousness right now it's almost like a diner type of vanilla

ice cream that is really good mmm rich creamy and the whipped cream of

course and a little bit of that mocha action lemme grab a little bit of that

real fast mmm that mocha drizzle is insane on this

Wow let me give you a look on top I mean it's mostly whipped cream but as you can

see the body of this is straight-up coffee it is really really nice it's a

nice even mix of that vanilla ice cream and the coffee flavor is so rich on it

mmm I wouldn't say it's like a cold brew but I got to tell you it's cold it's got

brew in it it fits mmm that is delicious this is delicious a little pricey for

$3.99 for the size but what you're getting is very rich quality it's not

over-the-top sweet but I am absolutely digging this this is super refreshing

right now hmm absolutely I haven't had a milkshake in a very long time but I got

to say the coffee is what got me on this one when I saw this I'm like I got to

give this one a shot overall I'm gonna have to give the hand

scooped mocha coffee milkshake here at Carl's jr. a rock-solid 10 out of 10

because it really strikes that perfect balance between coffee and ice cream and

you get a little bit of that mocha drizzle on top and then the whipped

cream to really finish it off but guys just make sure if you're having it in

super hot weather like I am right now get

to it because this thing is already melting like crazy I mean it's a crisp

104 degrees right now as I'm filming this absolutely delicious hmm that is

How to engrave a reusable coffee cup property marking tutorial - Duration: 11:17.

[ENGRAVING NOISE] Hello my name is Neil welcome back to

the Happy Hut thanks for clicking clacking? on this video!

Ttoday it's a bit of a strange one I'm going to be

engraving this reusable coffee cup with this reusable engraving tool

I don't know what you call it is it an engraver it's from the now sadly defunct

electronics store Maplin, but you can even get these most places

I've never used one before so my midlife crisis now enters a new artistic phase

I want to write my name on stuff I don't know why maybe it's because I want

to leave some kind of legacy or literally

some kind of mark on the world I'll probably label this video how to

engrave a reusable coffee cup but this is the first time I'm doing this so

calling it a how-to is a bit of a stretch it's more of a first time

engraving so that if you've thought of doing this I don't know why maybe you

want to mark your property or maybe you want to test out a new form of art where

you chisel letters at differing depths but this is this is how it went for me

the first time this time I hope it helps you I can't imagine how - and oh and I

apologize now for my lettering but this is yeah it's my first time

Okay, so I don't know if that's in focus I hope it is

Here's the engraver and I've got it unplugged at the moment - got a lovely shock when I

plugged it in it was on just there I thought

that was the button to start stop it isn't that's just to grip the chuck so you

can loosen it I've chosen this rounded tool so I'll

just plug it in now right that's in so when I switch on...

Away it goes So here I go for my very first

engraving, it's gonna be there sideways here because I can't do it around the camera

Here goes.

I've no idea how thick this would be [ENGRAVING NOISES]

I don't think I'm gonna get my whole name across so it's gonna be in two parts

There's the "At" Can make it look less shaky?

[ENGRAVING NOISES] That sort of looks like an "at".

I'm gonna go for a smaller finer point now so

it's gonna be more like a pen Okay so this is a chance for me to show you

how to change the Chuck I've unplugged it

so it doesn't go off again first unscrew this and then I can't turn this

Chuck off or around so you have to press this button

till it clicks and it holds it in place so that you can unscrew it

and then you can pull this out of the I think that's

called a collet nut they take the drill bit off I've gone for I've gone for this

one which is a thinner tip but it's also not pointed so keep that same width

however deep it goes see how that looks so put the bit into there and then turn

the chuck I think I need to grip it again there we go so it doesn't spin

round and then the nut tightens and then I'll put this grip on the round

it - fits in like that So plug it in again

We'll do some lettering Here we go

Turn it on I've got glasses on to... er so if the bit

snaps, hopefully my face won't snap as well [ENGRAVING NOISES]

With a wobbly "N" Go for an "E"

[ENGRAVING NOISES] I mean, my handwriting isn't great but

even this looks a bit of my six-year-old self - I think I'm gonna have to write my

name underneath it let's try that [ENGRAVING NOISES]

There we go that's really thin, isn't it.

yeah suppose the rounded tips would give me a bit more - more like this one - I

kind of like that - what I could do is use this this thin lettering as a

guide track for the bigger one I know grinding a hole

straight through the coffee cup should I do it yeah I got what do you think so

I'll put a thicker one on yeah I agree good choice but I'll do it with a...

I'll do it with a rounded tip let's turn it

Oh hold the button to undo the chuck take out the bit put in the new bit and then

put the nuts back on right let's thicken up those letters

so I'm gonna start one of the super thin ones rather than keep making that N wonky.

[ENGRAVING NOISES] it's really hard holding the engraver in

place [ENGRAVING NOISES]

Ha, looks like a giant Neil [ENGRAVING NOISES]

That could be an N rather than an R There we go - joined it up with the bit that

went wrong.

[ENGRAVING NOISES] Oh my goodness, let's go for an M

[ENGRAVING NOISES] [ENGRAVING NOISES]

Okay well that's not gonna win any calligraphy prizes but that's pretty

permanent and great and I've learned something there which is...

Let's get the camera here...

If you use a thin drill bit as a guide it's much easier to write

thick rather than just going straight in with the thick drill bit.

There we go I've only been writing that name for decades

uh-huh but there it is in a new with my new pen anyway so that's the very very

first time I've done engraving with engraver like this so I prefer the

rotary one rather than the the type of engraver that's like a needle that goes duhduhduh

just having a spinny drill bit is much easier I think yeah I think I need a bit of

practice with my writing anyway I hope this video has helped, it's helped me if you've

My name is Soundararaj. Here we harvest coffee, silk cotton, jackfruit, pepper, and lemon. Everything grows naturally here.

We havent been growing cloves, I have started growing a few saplings recently.

You ask me what difficulty I face. My biggest difficulty is wild animals. We routinely get bisons, and wild pigs. They uproot the small plants. Elephants trample over the coffee plants.

Other than that everything is fine (normal). Elephants come a lot when jackfruits are in season. They love the fruit. They arent a menace the rest of the time.

The forest is just a 150 to 200 feet away. So they stray from the jungle into our land.

I used to grow Arabica and Robusta. But I removed the Robusta plants. Wild animals cant be seen among the bigger bushes of the robusta.
