In today's video I'm going to talk about Loom.

Loom is a video and screen share recording software

that is web-based and online.

It's free and it's easy to use.

So let's get started.

If you haven't done so already,

hit that subscribe button. And don't forget to hit the bell for notifications.

To get started with loom you go to Useloom.com

There is also an extension you can get in Chrome.

As you can see right up here. I can just click this extension.

And it will give me the option to use screen and cam,

just screen,

or just cam.

You can use full desktop or current tab.

Down here, you can change your photo.

You can also hide the menu.

This is where you start recording, pause,

and cancel the recording.

Now there are many different ways that you can use Loom.

And they have several different ideas for you on the Loom site.

So I'm going to include this link in the description.

You can use it for consulting.

Close more deals,

team training,

on board new customers.

You can use it with customers,

with customer success,

send updates your team.

Education

And they have a whole lot of different ones down here for education. Updating parents,

recapping lessons,

faculty and teacher training.

Engineering.

team training and wiki,

team announcements.

Leadership, Marketing

This is probably going to be a big one for a lot of you.

Send updates your team,

delivering engaging client updates.

Products, Personal and Sales. So these's a lot you can do.

I will put this link in the description if you want to go look at it yourself and see what they got.

But let me show you the ways that I use Loom.

Now once you get loom you'll have a dashboard. This is my dashboard here.

You can click in to do your account settings.

You can set up different folders for different situations.

I have videos that I've actually posted online for people to look at.

I have some that are personal messages.

Some that are if I hire a VA.

And some that are for clients.

It's a great way to send a message. Especially if you

need to teach somebody something or show somebody something.

For an example,

In my clients,

if they need me to work in their YouTube,

they have to add me as a manager. So this is a video showing them how to add me as a manager.

Now in my VA one,

this is a little walkthrough of my systems for my weekly distribution.

And basic weekly email.

Now when you click into this,

you can copy the link

and share it directly through an email

or through a messaging center.

You can share it on your Slack if you use slack for communication.

You just pick out what board you want to share it on and you can search for boards here.

You can also download it.

Grab a link, embed, Twitter, Facebook, Gmail.

Now, let me show you a couple of these that I really like.

Now in Gmail, if I want to send a particular message to somebody,

I actually have it integrated with my Gmail so that I can just go down here.

Send a video with Loom.

And when I click that I can either create a new recording, directly from my gmail.

I can go to my videos, or I can just pick the most recent recording.

Another handy way is if you use Trello,

with your team,

or use Trello with a client.

You can add links directly in Trello.

Let me show you how that works.

I've got a demo board and a demo thing and a little card called test.

Now, say I want to send a little video about whatever this card is.

I can go back to my Loom,

I copy the link,

I go to my Trello,

and put in, watch this video please.

I'm gonna press ENTER,

and just paste the link. And once I click save,

It's going to put the video right in there.

So that they can watch it directly from in Trello.

When you're on Loom,

you can click on your little icon click on account settings,

go down to integrations and you can see all the other things that integrates with.

I have link integration and full integration on Gmail.

But it integrates with several others. I also have Trello activated,

Google Docs,

Dropbox,

And it doesn't say Slack on here. But slack is definitely an option.

The reason I don't think slack is on here

is because it's already down on here. Once you integrate with slack,

it's a square directly in here. so I could instantly

click on sharing this here,

and put share on Slack.

Now when I go over to Slack,

that video is already uploaded here. And they can watch it directly in Slack.

Some of the other things that you can do with your video

is you can take that link and you can paste them to Facebook.

You can actually put them in the comments or as a post.

If you're connecting with somebody directly through Facebook or through LinkedIn,

say somebody adds you as a new connection,

you can just pop on here

and record a personal video

and paste it directly into the private messages.

Just to give it a personal touch.

In the settings you can turn off comments,

Turn off comment email notifications.

Viewer can download and you can also see the analytics.

You can password protect any one of these.

And you can even go in and trim and edit

your video directly in Loom.

How to SYNC AUDIO to your mobile video EASILY- with FREE SOFTWARE! - Duration: 7:41.

Have you ever wondered how your favorite youtuber or singer gets perfectly good quality audio

Especially when they're using an external USB microphone and recording with their iPhone

Well, if you have I'm gonna show you how you can record video with your iPhone

Audio with the USB microphone and how you can sync the two together to make a perfect video

So at the moment we're recording the video with our DSLR

But now we're going to switch to the iPhone and as you can hear we've also switch the audio to the iPhone built in microphone

and it sounds a bit tinny, a bit echo a bit distant and this is what the sound comes like from the iPhone itself and

A lot of youtubers start off this way because the iPhone is actually a pretty good camera

Filming on but the audio is where it let's it down

So what we're going to do now is continue shooting with the iPhone

But now we've switched to the SL600

USB microphone and as you can already hear the audio quality is lovely and crisp there's a nice level of bass and treble to

the sound and it's taken out a lot of the

Distant sounds and echoes that were in the room before. So we've done this in post. It's really easy to do

So I'm going to show you a step-by-step guide on how you can do it, too

So step one is to download audacity

You can use any recording software

But audacity is available for both Mac and PC and it's free. Next, you need to plug in your SL600

to your Mac or PC and then select that as the input device for your computer as well as the recording software

You're using such as audacity. Step three is a little bit of a tip

You want to make sure your iPhone is on a tripod so it keeps the shot nice and steady

There's nothing worse than some shaky video footage. Step 4, hit record on audacity then hit record on your camera

So you're recording at the same time.

So now we've got the audio being recorded on the SL600

as well as the video and audio of the iPhone being recorded directly to the iPhone itself

So the next thing you want to do is a big clap when you're recording

This will be recorded into your SL

600 and the iPhones video and it allows you to sync up the audio and video a bit later on so it's a really important

step

So when you've finished recording make sure you press stop on your iPhone and stop in audacity now within

Audacity, you can export as an mp3 or wav a WAV file is a little bit higher

So I'd recommend doing that if you can okay, so next you'll need some basic video editing software

And for this example, we're using iMovie as it's free with a Mac for a PC

You can use something called video pad and will include the links below in the description

So I've already started a new project here in iMovie, and I've imported our video clip here and then our audio clip from audacity

so I've dragged down the section of the clip into iMovie and as you can hear as you can hear this is the

Audio and the video directly from the iPhone, which doesn't sound too great

As you can see here the audio, isn't that great?

So what we want to do is bring down this audio file here from audacity and sync it up now

What will happen here when you drag onto the timeline it will of course be completely out of sync if we play that back now

So you can hear the both audio files from the iPhone and audacity are playing at the same time

so the first thing you want to do is

Right click here on your video clip and click detach audio

then because we actually want to get rid of the audio which was recorded on the iPhone and we want to replace that with our

Really good, SL 600 audio. All you do is simply click this and then hit the Delete key

Now then the next thing we want to do is line up the audio perfectly, so it's fully in sync

Now this is why we did the clap at the beginning of the video clip because here you can see in the actual audio

Waveform you can see the clap peaking right there

So what we need to do is find a point in the video where you can see the clap happen

which is if we take it back to the start, which is about there and

Then what we do is if we drag the audio along to that point and get it all lined up you should see

That luckily this is kind of almost perfect already for us. But if we now play that back you should see that the audio is

Perfectly now in time. Let's play it back and have a listen

So this is the video footage coming straight from the iPhone and the audio is being recorded with the SL 600

The problem we have is that the iPhones video and audio are linked. So there you have it

Ok, so now I'm going to show you how to sync the audio together using video pad on a PC or a Mac

I've imported the video footage here into video pad

Using the add file section here, and I've added the audio file from from audacity in here

So basically, all you need to do is get your clip

Let's drag that into the video

Section there and that will add that to the timeline and you'll see here you have the audio and the video

from the iPhone if we play that through

So you can see there that the audio is not particularly great

So what we're going to do next is get our audacity audio file

We're going to click and drag that and we're going to click in this little section here at the bottom to create a new mix

Now you can see that we have three layers. We have the video

We have the iPhone audio and then we have our audacity SL 600 file. So what we want to do is

Sync these two files up. And this is why we did the clap at the start of the video

So this is why we did the clap at the start of the video file and you can see here as we drag this along

If you look at the start of the waveform here just under the red cursor

That's where we made our clap. And then if you look at the iPhones audio file here, you can also see that clap

So what we don't want to do is we want to move this and then sync them up

Luckily that clips are almost the same length

So they sync up quite well now if we play them together at the same time

you'll hear both the

IPhones audio and the SL 600 audio being played at the same time so we can do that here by clicking on the audio track

One we want to right click that and then unlink from video

Once that's unlinked you can just click onto the file hit delete or right click and then delete

This will remove the iPhones audio and it will leave you with your clean crisp e SL 600 audio

It'll now sound perfectly great

So this is the video footage coming straight from the iPhone and the audio is being recorded with the SL

600 the problem we have is that the so there we have it you now have some clean audio

Some clean video and you can now export this file so you can use it on your new YouTube channel

So that's it. You've now got a great video with some great audio which you can now upload to YouTube

to recognize one of the most popular yet difficult languages

Debdyut, an Intel Software Green Belt,

recently launched a new project to apply deep-learning models

to recognize Bengali characters and numerals.

Bengali is one of the most popular languages in the world

and the second-most popular language in India.

It's spoken by over 200 million people worldwide.

The language has a rich character set

which is reflective of a rich culture.

However, it can sometimes be difficult

when it comes to creating efficient Optical Character

Recognition, or OCR.

There are 10 numerals, 50 basic characters, and over 100

compound characters.

Another challenge with the language

is that many Bengali characters have very similar shapes.

Additionally, line gaps and isolated dots

can distort the information in the image.

There can also be unevenness or lack

of light on the image which can obstruct

the meaning of the text.

Finally, graphic images on the text

may hide the character's shape and form.

What was Debdyut's objective for the project?

It was to create a robust image pre-processing pipeline

to focus on high accuracy for digit recognition,

eventually to implement this into a web application,

deploying the trained model for practical use.

Intel® Graphics Performance Analyzers 2018 R3 Release | Intel Software - Duration: 2:10.

I'm Giselle Gomez from Intel here to tell you

about the exciting new features in the Intel GPA 2018 R3

release.

We have added the GPU duration metric

to Frame Analyzer for OpenGL applications on Ubuntu 18.04,

added additional experiments to Frame Analyzer for macOS

Metal applications, added a new way to view, sort, and group

resources in Frame Analyzer for Windows DirectX applications,

as well as a way to color-code ERGs by hardware bottlenecks.

Let's take a deeper dive into these changes.

Graphics Frame Analyzer has many new features

for both macOS and Windows platforms.

On macOS Metal applications, users

can now replace single input textures

with a two-by-two texture or clamp a texture

to a selected midmap level.

Users can also modify render states

under execution in the Resource Viewer.

On playback, GPA will show the frame with the new output

resources and show the performance delta

in the Metrics tab.

Frame Analyzer for Windows has two new ways

of looking at data.

The bar chart can now be modified to color code

all ERGs by hardware bottleneck.

Using the Color By dropdown menu,

users can determine whether the ERGs will be colored

by ERG type or bottleneck.

To view the legend associated with these colors,

select the Info button within the bar chart.

Not only can you modify the color scheme of the bar chart,

you can now group and sort resources

associated with any selected ERG using the Resource Table view.

Expand the resources by clicking on the arrow below Input

or Output to see the new resource table.

Using this table, you can sort through resources

using predefined filters and categories,

making it easier to see only the necessary resources.
