The coolest and the strangest trade of my life

Once a friend of mine wished me a happy new year

We haven't talk for 5 or 6 years befor

He wanted to buy Toyota Soarer, I was interested in it

He bought it but last few years just he has no time and money

To work on it. I love 2 things: bikes and cars

Soarer 20th I knew that in Moscow there're a few of them

He offered to sell me the car, but I don't have money now

But may be he is interested in some barter and hу agreed

Aтв ш decided to offer him my bike, it was such a crazy offer

But you never know, and this guy from Ekatirenburg told me

Btw the car was in Ekatirenburg, did I mention that?

I was really surprised when he agreed to change!

I bought tickets to Ekb, winter, - 25 С

I remembered that there's top dirt park in Ekb

I understand that finally I have a chance to ride it,

And I take 2 bicycles at random, meet the guy and we trade

I love such cars when they're a bit low, nipple level

Reliable, auto gear box, nay buttons, white, Japan originally

And maximum profit, and fun. But as usual everything went wrong.

So we're finally coming to soarer, and my friend Max is showing

When I saw my bike I was sure it is perfect,

I rode it 4 times and I completely forgot that my first

The only bad thing was the temperature in Ekb

It was the harshest experience in my life - 25 С

If the guy wants to buy it, will it be hard for you to let the baby go?

But the car wasn't far as ideal as I imagined.

About the car, There's a potential buyer.

The car I think is beautiful. Despite of many problems,

the pleasure despite of it can collapse anytime.

But we won't drift it.

Inquiet, l'éternel vice-champion tire la sonnette d'alarme

On l'avait déjà écrit au lendemain de sa défaite australienne dans la quête du titre mondial. Thierry a peut-être laissé passer ses principales chances d'être couronné en 2017 (quand la Hyundai était la meilleure) et en 2018.

Et la tâche s'annonce encore plus ardue l'an prochain face à l'armada Toyota disposant d'une Yaris actuellement supérieure à la concurrence et à Citroën qui va retrouver des couleurs avec le retour du sextuple champion Sébastien Ogier.

Pas né de la dernière pluie, Thierry et Nicolas en sont bien conscients. Avec un seul podium (2e en Allemagne) depuis leur 3e et dernière victoire en Sardaigne,

la deuxième moitié de saison du camp Hyundai et du Belge a été, pour dire la vérité, tout simplement

catastrophique.

Ce n'est pas à Coffs Harbour que Thierry a perdu la couronne mais bien tout au long des six dernières épreuves où il devait surpiloter avec un i20 WRC en dessous du niveau de la concurrence.

En déplacement à Séoul pour assister aux "Hyundai Days", Thierry a rencontré les hauts dirigeants coréens et également tout le staff de l'écurie pour participer à un grand débriefing de la saison écoulée. Et le bilan n'est guère positif.

"Honnêtement, on n'a aucune chance l'an prochain face à Toyota et Tanak si on n'augmente pas notre vitesse et notre niveau de performance de manière significative,"

a déclaré notre compatriote lors d'une interview accordée à Autosport.com. "Une évolution ne suffira pas, il faut s'améliorer dans tous les domaines."

Et pas seulement à la mi-saison serions nous tentés d'ajouter car il sera sans doute déjà trop tard.

Présent en Corée, le team-manager Michel Nandan qui serait, selon certaines rumeurs, sur la sellette, a confirmé que la Hyundai allait évoluer dans plusieurs domaines:

"Thierry bénéficiait déjà d'une évolution moteur en Australie. Et on continue à travailler sur la motorisation (le gros point fort de Toyota) durant l'hiver. Des nouveautés sont aussi attendues sur le plan de la transmission et des suspensions."

Il paraîtrait qu'on travaillerait sur une suspension qui ne passerait plus à travers le capot en Turquie... Trêve de plaisanterie, changer de fournisseur ne serait peut-être pas un mauvais plan.

Il faut opérer des changements radicaux. Et tenter d'apporter aussi plus de soutien à Thierry avec ses équipiers.

Ce que n'a jamais été capable de faire Andreas Mikkelsen cette année. Etonnant de la part d'un Norvégien qui s'est imposé avec la Polo-R et était de suite compétitif au volant de la Citroën...

Depuis l'unique victoire d'Hayden Paddon en Argentine 2016,

Thierry est le seul à avoir imposé une Hyundai. Ce n'est pas normal. Dans le même temps, Ott Tanak, Esapekka Lappi et Jari-Mati Latvala ont fait gagner les Toyota, Sébastien Ogier et Elfyn Evans les

Ford, tandis que Kris Meeke et Sébastien Loeb ont triomphé en C3 WRC. Cela peut signifier deux choses: soit que la Hyundai n'est pas assez compétitive et que seul un super pilote comme Thierry peut l'amener sur la plus haute marche du podium,

soit que ses équipiers ne sont pas à la hauteur. Malheureusement, on ne voit pas grand chose sur le marché: hormis Seb Loeb, mais on doute fort qu'il soit dispo.

Elfyn Evans ou Mads Ostberg ferait-il mieux qu'Hayden Paddon? Pas sûr. On semble donc reparti pour le même line up, avec une troisième voiture partagée entre Dani Sordo et le Kiwi.

Cela devrait être confirmé fin de la semaine prochaine. "Je me suis souvent senti seul cette année alors que mes adversaires ont régulièrement été aidés par leurs équipiers."

Il y a donc pas mal de choses à changer chez Hyundai. Et il y a vraiment intérêt à ce que cela bouge car Thierry a prolongé son bail pour trois ans...
