Auto news on Youtube Oct 29 2018

Rev up your engines, cara says scotty I recently bought a 06 scion

tc 112,000 miles for $2,000, it just needs dent repair on the quarter panel is that a

good buy, oh yeah that's what I tell people to do all

the time, if you and to save money buying a toyota or honda get one that has body damage,

as long as a mechanic says, well no that's just body damage it didn't hurt anything it's

a fender or a bumper or something, because body work can cost a lot of money

to get done perfectly but it really lowers the value of the car, and if you don't care

about dents, like you live in New York City where you're going to get more dents anyways,

people like pre dented cars in New York City because then they're not buying a nice undented

car and getting mad when somebody smashes into it, they just say, ah well it's already

a New York City car it has the dent built in so, you got a good deal theirs nothing

wrong with that, beast bg, scotty what do you think about Russian

soviet made ladas, well I know a lot about them because I used to live in Canada, now

the Russias, they started in 1970 and they made the Ladas which were basically a copy

of a 1966 fiat 124, so they were basically copies of a car that wasn't that great to

begin with, but of course they sold millions of them in

Russia because when basically it's about the only car you can get and there's a waiting

list for them, they sold millions of those things, some people though hey you know it

beats riding a horse or walking when it's freezing cold outside,

they did sell them in Canada and they sold thousands of them a year when they started

selling them, their pretty hardy cars you know and if you want a little bitty car to

get around in and they had 4 wheel drive ones so they were good in the snow in Canada and

their light little car they got really good gas mileage,

but of course back then it was the only thing the Russians could buy so, it's kind of like

a captive market there, they made a whole range of cars eventually of course even police

cars in Russia but the main one was the copy of the fiat 124, and they were just junky

little cars but if that's all you had, it beats walking I guess,

alex says what do you think about the Hellcat, oh their screaming cars to drive, I drove

one once on a test track, that thing was fast, it had 700 something horsepower, their really

fun to drive, of course that said, they get terrible gas mileage, your insurance is going

to cost you a small fortune and guys tend to beat them so they tend to kind of fall

apart as they age, and then their not worth that much when their

really older, but if you got a whole bunch of money and

want to buy a brand new one, buy one that's got low mileage their a lot of fun to drive

I'll say that, Ivan, my toyota care is ending soon and it's

a 2017 tacoma and after it ends I'm going to do oil changes, do you think it's a good

idea to stick with all toyota products, like oil filter, oil and antifreeze,

doesn't really matter as long as you use the quality stuff, now you want to stick to like

their antifreeze, toyota uses what's called HOAT hybrid organic acid technology, but you

don't have to go to toyota you can buy them from somebody else, it really doesn't make

all that much difference, as long as you buy that same quality, realize

toyota doesn't make coolant, they don't make engine oil, they don't make transmission fluid,

they just buy it from somebody else, so as long as you're getting stuff that has

the same specs, it's perfectly fine to use them,

james says scotty I have a 2000 celica new water pump is leaking badly I believe the

coolant is getting past the o ring what gives, first of all if you did buy a water pump for

that, you're better off buying an OEM water pump and like I said before you don't have

to go to toyota, lots of places make these pumps that you can buy, you don't have to

buy them from toyota, but you don't want to buy one of these cheaply

made, cheapest Chinese ones out there and put it on because a lot of times their poorly

made, but when you do do a water pump job, you have

to make sure the mating surfaces are perfect, you have to clean them off, I have special

little thin scrappers sometime I use razor blades,

you got to get all the old material off and then if you got one that's got the o ring

on it, put the o ring on the pump first, and when you do that, put a little bit of weather

stripping glue, put the o ring on the pump, then let it dry for about an hour,

then it's not going to fall off and move, then when you put it back in place it's not

going to leak, even I in my many years of fixing cars have had ones where, I didn't

do that and the o ring slipped and when I put it on and then it leaked so, you want

to check that too, that does happen, harley says my 05 toyota mr2 spyder central

remote locking only works sometimes, I have the problem with both keys and the batteries

are new, any idea, yeah they had problems with those systems, if unfortunate but the

receiving unit that's in there, the control module goes bad on those things as they age,

they cost a small fortune to buy and then they have to be reprogrammed, if I were you

I'd just live without the thing, you know because if you price what it costs to buy

the parts for that, it will cost you so much money and I had quite a few customers with

them as they age, those things just broke down and I'd just say forget it because unless

you're willing to spend a whole bunch of money replacing that module and having it reprogrammed

you know it's really not worth it, so if you never want to miss another one of

my new car repair videos, remember to ring that bell!

Lessons Learned of How to get to 20,000 Subscribers - Duration: 15:24.

one of my favorite quotes ever is if you want what I have you got a do what I do

what is up everybody this is Chris from the rewired soul where we talk about the

problem but focus on the solution and if you're new to my channel my channel is

all about helping people with their mental health so for any that kind of

stuff make sure you subscribe and ring that notification bell but right now you

might be thinking oh but Chris you're talking about 10 lessons you learned to

get to 20,000 subscribers what's that guy to do with mental health I don't

know if if you've been paying attention or not

but if you look around at youtubers lately they are losing their minds

sometimes I like to make videos to help my fellow creators out and I want to

talk about things that I've learned on my path to 20,000 subscribers before I

do that I want to thank each and every one of you beautiful people out there

will click that subscribe button even more so for those of you who click that

notification bell because you care about mental health and whether it's improving

yours or just educating yourself or decreasing the stigma whatever it is I

love each and every one of you so so so much so yeah without further ado these

are things that I've learned on my road to 20,000 subscribers and even if the

amount of youtube creator or even think about starting a YouTube channel I truly

believe that some of these things that I learned might be able to help you just

in life or in the workplace in general so tip number one or lesson number one

rather is something that I still work on every single day which is focus on your

own race like it is so easy for me to compare myself to other people and where

other people are there's a there's a saying where is I don't compare yourself

to where you are today based on where someone else is today compare yourself

to where you were yesterday right like I was literally just whining to Tristan

this morning I'm just going through YouTube and checking out other channels

or what YouTube recommends to me I'll just like send Trista's screenshots of

like how does this person get more views than I like it just blows my bi head

like she like brings me back down if she's like yo worry about your own race

you know what I mean but she also tells me you know it reminds me to be grateful

for every single viewer and subscriber that I have so you got to focus on your

own race I've talked about this in other videos we're like youtubers have quit

because they look at the success of other people focus on your own race and

what you are doing lesson number two connect your audience like this is huge

if like if you look at what I do like I try to reply to as many as many of the

comments as possible or at least hold them just to kind of show that I did

read it right sometimes I just don't have the words to say like it's

important like I think that's one of the huge things here's a little side tip for

anybody who is on YouTube like when I was smaller and as I was growing like if

anybody left a comment I would always remind them to subscribe I'm like hey

might want to subscribe and it worked I swear

it worked like 90% of the time I think it's important to be grateful because

something I've talked about is this disconnect that I see bigger youtubers

get between them and their audience so I want to make sure that my audience is

engaged and we're talking and having conversations at some applause so I

mentioned in another video that Tristan is now helping me with this

just because the channel is getting bigger but it's very important for us to

truly appreciate and connect with the people who are watching our content

lesson number three is support have support like Tristan is amazing support

you know Zack is amazing support my friends are some amazing support like

when it comes to this YouTube specifically like I needed people who

understood and like Tristan gets it I'm very fortunate about that but she only

gets it to an extent you know she's not a YouTube creator what I actually did

was I joined some Facebook groups of other people on this YouTube journey as

well so I support is a huge part of mental health I tell you all the time

it's one of the reasons I started my Facebook group for all of you rewired

soldiers out there by the way link down in the description

come join it like we need support we need to hear from other people who are

going through the same struggles as we are because one of the things a lot of

us suffer from is something called terminal uniqueness where we think we

are the only ones going through what we're going through that's number four

stop making videos for yourself like I had to learn that and this sounds really

weird this sounds really weird because you hear these youtubers you're talking

about Blair now like uh make your videos for other people I kept making videos

for other people well a lot of it is about the mindset I'm gonna talk about

mindset a few times throughout this video but no matter what kind of video

you're making you're making it for other people you just need to remember that so

me you know I'm truly trying to help people with their mental health right

like that is the focus that's my goal that is what I'm trying to do but like

for example my buddy q-star he has a channel where he talks about

you know reddit posts and he's a comedian and he makes fun and everything

like that like I was talking to him I'm like you

provide a lot of value dude I'm like every time I watch your videos I laugh

and it kind of makes me think right so he's making a video for me even though

he may not realize it but even people who are like storytime

two birds of floggers like whenever I make a video I'm always thinking about

what you're going to gain from it like how am I gonna help you so even if

you're doing entertainment or vlogging or music or how to like just we need to

stop worrying about you know what what what this video is about for us and how

we can help other people alright when we switch that mindset it helps

keep me motivated and keep me moving forward and also it also helps me quit

worried about so much about the numbers and the analytics and everything like

that because I remember I'm making this for other people lesson number five

comes from my man himself roberto blake roberto blake like i just i need people

to call me out i need people to you know point out entitlement and I'll never

forget when I first started on YouTube I was in a livestream of Roberto's I can't

remember if it was in our Facebook group or if it was all in one of his YouTube

live streams but I just remember he was talking about how so many youtubers want

to go viral they won't have a million subscribers they want to have this and

like Roberto straight-up said he's like you have no right to complain until you

have 1,000 videos all right challenge accepted mother you know what I mean

like it's true it's true we see a lot of people who are complaining and they feel

like you know the YouTube algorithm owes them something or the audience ohs them

something like when it comes to this like I know that I don't nobody owes me

anything YouTube doesn't owe me anything you don't owe me anything nobody owes me

jack squat until I put in the work I have no right to complain and even when

I do put in the work I barely I barely have a right to complain so if you're

somebody who's trying to create something like how much effort are you

actually putting into this like I get a lot of people who you know say oh I want

you to be able to grow and things like look I go check out their channel they

got like five videos I'm like what do you expect like what do you expect from

just a few videos so I have been taking YouTube seriously for less than a year

and a half and I have over 500 videos over 500 videos and you guys who have

been subscribed you know sometimes I put out two three videos a day like I know

that if I want to get to that goal I gotta hustle

and I don't work for it nothing is owed to me lesson number six is stay humble

stay humble is something that I'm constantly working on it's something I'm

constantly trying to do because one of my biggest fears is becoming a hypocrite

right and on my journey of growing this thing there's a lot of youtubers who

I've reached out to and I've noticed I've noticed that as I grow more of them

are starting to talk to me right and like look at I'm like that is terrible

and it's a terrible way to live that you're only talking to me once I start

growing so what I try to do is I try to be the change I want to see in the world

so I'm constantly staying humble I'm constantly looking at other creators or

smaller creators that's what I try to do collabs that's why I share a lot of

content because I need to stay humble like I was actually over a twisty tie

yesterday I was having a conversation with her because you know I reply to

comments sometimes I get a little sassy and one of my fears is reverting back to

this idea that I'm always right you know what I mean like because if I do that

like my ego is my worst enemy so I have to be able to look at these things and

saying like okay disagreement or do I am I being sick headed and narrow minded

and just think I'm always right like I have to stay humble like I am no

different than anybody watching this content right now the only difference is

I uploaded it onto YouTube that's it and truthfully truthfully I think you

know the world in general would be a better place if we just started looking

at people as people not based on their numbers or how much money they make or

anything like that this is just a human problem so like some of you have

mentioned like one of my biggest pet peeves it's just social hierarchies

right like oh this person has more subscribers so they don't talk to this

person like that is just some of the most ridiculous stuff ever so never ever

ever ever hold me up on a pedestal you know what I mean going back to what I

said if you want what I have just do what I do

what's the number seven speaking of staying humble separate the haters from

the constructive criticism because it's really easy for me to look at different

comments and think that people are just hating on me they don't get me they

don't understand all these other things but I get it

there I gotta recognize my own bias I gotta recognize you know is my ego

getting out of control thinking that everything I say is the

word of God you know I'm always right like I have to look at these things and

say okay this person actually has some good criticisms right so for example for

example I made a video with my son a couple of weeks ago and some people

notice that I move my mouth when Dylan's talking I do this all the time

Tristan pointed out that even when I'm watching my own videos I move my mouth

it's weird able to kind of filter out these things and it's an ongoing process

of like is this a criticism that actually really like pay attention to

and take into consideration or is this just me realizing that I'm not gonna be

able to please 100% of people and like thank you for your feedback but you know

I'm gonna keep doing it this way lesson number eight is huge for any creator out

there any creator out there be mindful of the content that you want to make and

like listen to your thoughts and emotions and your passions and feelings

like going back to roberto blake like we were talking he was saying feels like a

blog so he went to block some days he feels like doing photography so he does

photography and yeah you know what we're all trying to do is know what youtubers

are trying to do is like do your own thing and just have this kind of freedom

so like a great example is what i'm doing right now with this video i some

other videos I want to make because I promise to people but like I just didn't

feel like making it at this moment I wanted to record but I didn't feel like

what I do that right so I was like oh I'll just make this video because it's

what my body and my mind is telling me to make you can adapt adopt this into

part of your life so let's say for example you gotta clean your house okay

oh I don't want to clean the kitchen okay cool don't clean the kitchen don't

clean your bedroom in the living room whatever it is you see what I mean so

rather than doing nothing I just try to do something but I listen to what I want

to do freedom at our actual job so we might as

well do it when we're becoming equator on YouTube even if you're doing like

Instagram or you know Twitter stop or blogging whatever it is listen to what

you want to do like something else that I've mentioned in previous videos like I

personally don't strap my down to myself down to a schedule I make more content

than a lot of creatives a lot of creatures but I've never promised you

anything you know why because if I want to take a day off I didn't promise you a

dang thing lesson number nine quit slacking on SEO right so this goes back

to what I was saying like I have no right to complain unless I'm putting in

the work like I see a lot of creators who complain about you know huge

creators complaining about this Oh YouTube suppresses my content YouTube's

suppressing my content right but I look at their SEO I'm like are they doing

everything they can like in the in the tags and the keywords in the description

and the title like are these things search friendly and I see a lot of

people on it and again I have a look at myself and do that like if I'm being

lazy about that I have no right to complain about YouTube if I'm being lazy

one of the reasons my channel has been growing is because I make sure that

people who are looking for content like mine can find it so right now I'll give

a huge shout out to my buddy judo over at the channel positively you

know because she has about 3,000 subscribers but I look at her videos and

she has some great videos some great videos that I know people are looking

for you know how I know people are looking for them because they've asked

me to make them then I'm like oh well who knows making them but then I looked

over at her at her stuff I'm like girl you are not putting all of the effort

into the SEO to make algorithm able to find your content and like again like

who knows my girl she's my buddy and I tell people what they need to hear now

if they want to hear so now who knows putting a little bit more effort into

the SEO so everybody if you're on YouTube just know you can put 500

characters of tags in there okay good decent at writing write a detailed

description okay your titles the titles have you looking at titles they are

stuffed with such friendly keywords I take probably about an extra 20 minutes

every video to make sure that I am doing all of

those things last but not least lesson 10 focus on the solution there are a

million reasons why I always say we're talking about the problem but focus on

the solution something that is easy for me to do as well as a lot of other

creators to do is just talk about the problem talking about the oh the YouTube

algorithm this or oh the Adsense that or OD monetization this oh this this this

and like when we stay sucked into that problem we're completely missing the

solutions right so all the things that I talked about the SEO the hustle that

work all these things like what can I do so right now what I do to counteract you

know the way the algorithm works I make a ton of content I connect with all of

you I reply to your comments I do so many different things when it comes to

revenue I have a patreon I have two books up on Amazon Tristan has helped me

make merch I just do I use affiliate links where I can like like I am not

beholden to YouTube and it's something that a lot of entrepreneurial creators

have taught me like I focus on the solution sitting in the problem whining

complaining has not gotten me anywhere ever in life but you know what does get

me somewhere when I take actionable steps towards the solution okay so

anyways that's what I want to talk about and I hope whether you're a youtuber or

not you were able to take some things from this video if you want down in the

comments below let me know which one of these lessons is something that you

think that you can adopt into your life whether you're a youtuber or not okay

anyways that's all I got for this video if you like this video please give it a

thumbs up if you're new make sure to subscribe and win get notification Bell

because I make a ton a ton of videos huge thank you to everybody supported

the channel over on patreon we got some new names up there and you are all just

so amazing if you would like to help support the channel go ahead and click

the top right there alright thanks so much for watching

hustle and I'll see you next time

Mental health services to get pound 2bn funding boost in budget UK news - Duration: 6:22.

Mental health services to get pound 2bn funding boost in budget UK news

Philip Hammond says measures being announced in budget depend on reaching Brexit deal

Philip Hammond says measures being announced in budget depend on reaching Brexit deal

Philip Hammond will announce a £2bn real-terms increase in mental health funding on Monday as he unveils his first budget since Theresa May told the Conservative party conference that voters needed to know austerity was over.

The commitment should lead to comprehensive mental health support being available in every large A&E department. It suggests that mental health, long seen as a neglected area within the NHS, will benefit disproportionately from the £20bn-a-year funding increase for health announced by the prime minister in June.

In pre-budget interviews on Sunday, Hammond refused to comment on reports that better-than-expected tax returns have given him a £13bn windfall, reducing the need for the substantial tax increases that had been anticipated when May announced her spending spree for the NHS over the next five years.

But he also stressed that the measures being announced would be contingent on the government securing a Brexit deal with the EU – and that, in the event of there being no deal, he would have to return to parliament with an emergency budget setting out an alternative economic strategy for the UK.

In remarks with a different emphasis to May's conference speech, he also played down suggestions that the budget would categorically mark the end of austerity, saying just that this might be the moment when people see "that the fruits of their hard work are now at last in sight" and that detailed decisions about more money for government departments would be made in the spending review next year.

On Sunday Hammond said that the most important spending decision in the budget was the extra cash for the NHS in England announced by May in the summer, with Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland getting proportional extra sums in the usual way. The increase will begin in 2019-20, reaching an extra £20bn in real terms for NHS England by 2023-24. In one of the first indications of how that money will be allocated, MPs will be told that in England at least £2bn will go to mental health services by 2023-24.

Although sizeable compared to the £12bn a year currently on mental health services in England, the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) thinktank said that the £2bn extra promised in the budget was only half what was needed to put spending more on a par with that of physical health.

In its 2012 Health and Social Care Act the coalition government legislated to create "parity of esteem" between mental and physical health, but there have been persistent complaints that this aspiration has never been achieved and May herself cited mental health as an area where services must be improved in the "burning injustices" speech she gave outside No 10 when she became prime minister.

According to a government briefing, the new money will ensure that mental health support is available 24/7 in every large A&E department – a key priority as people with mental health problems often turn to A&E because support is not available elsewhere.

The funding will also pay for more mental health ambulances, community services for people with mental health problems, specialist crisis teams linking schools, social services and young people's mental health services, and teams in schools supporting people with mild and moderate mental health problems.

Harry Quilter-Pinner, an IPPR researcher, said that if the government really wanted to achieve "parity of esteem" between mental health and physical health, spending on mental health would have to rise by £4.1bn by 2023-24 to deliver treatment rates equivalent to those available for comparable physical health conditions. "To truly make progress towards parity of esteem the government will need to commit twice as much as they have today," he said. "Without this the NHS will never be truly 'free at the point of need' for people experiencing mental ill-health."

The Treasury has also announced that the budget will allocate £60m for spending on tree planting – but with most of that going on a £50m carbon credit programme that would fund an estimated £10m to be spent on trees over the next 30 years.

This will be Hammond's third budget and, given the strong possibility of either a substantial reshuffle or a Tory leadership contest within the next 12 months, many MPs suspect it will be his last. It has been prepared amid reports that Hammond and May have clashed over whether or not it is responsible to increase spending and cut taxes with the deficit ongoing and Brexit likely to hit the public finances.

In his statement Hammond is also expected to announce:

* A cut in business rates for small retailers, as part of a £1.5bn package intended to boost the high street.

* Further details of plans for a new tax on tech giants – in an interview on Sunday Hammond signalled he could set a deadline for the UK to act unilaterally if he cannot secure action at an international level.

* Almost £1bn extra for adult social care.

* A £30bn transport network investment, with £28.8bn from vehicle excise duty ringfenced for spending on roads.

* Proposals to help struggling families access interest-free loans as an alternative to having to rely on loan sharks.

* A significant investment in superfast broadband.

* An increase in defence spending.

* An increase in spending on universal credit.

John McDonnell, the shadow chancellor, said on Sunday that Labour would appeal to other parties in the Commons to join it in voting down the budget if Hammond did not use it to announce a halt to the rollout of universal credit.

Commenting on the mental health announcement, Andy Bell, deputy chief executive of the Centre for Mental Health, said: "Increasing mental health spending as a proportion of NHS funding for the next five years is an important step towards parity. It is vital that this investment is earmarked for mental health to ensure it brings about the promised improvements in care and support and to put right the decades of underinvestment in mental health services throughout the NHS."

But Labour said the government should be spending more money now, not making promises about the next five years.

"If this announcement is simply money that's already been promised, it will do little to relieve the severe pressures on mental health services that have built up because of this Tory government's relentless underfunding of the NHS," said the shadow mental health minister, Barbara Keeley.
