Beginners Guide to Make Money RED DEAD REDEMPTION ONLINE - Duration: 11:15.what is up guys and welcome to another video today I will be showing you
exactly how to make money on Red Dead Redemption 2 now this is a beginner's
guide so if you've been playing Red Dead Redemption online for last month or so
it's probably best you click off this video because you're going to see a lot
of stuff that you've probably seen before and other videos other ones of my
videos but if you're a beginner if you got Red Dead Redemption over Christmas
you're gonna want to stick watch all of these different ways to make money on
Red Dead Redemption online before we get into the video if you would like to see
more tutorials or tips like this then make sure you hit the like on a video
and also subscribe to this channel I'm getting around about five or six videos
out a week showing you exactly how to make money how to rank up as well as
different stuff in Red Dead Redemption online if this video does well I will
make sure to do a part two to it because there are so many ways to make money on
Red Dead online as well as if you want to see it drop in the comments down below
I'll show you ways to rank up fast so the first way and most obvious way to
make money on Red Dead online is to complete the missions now when you go in
you will be met with a woman in which you'll start offering you money to go
and do different missions so that you can find the killers of her husband
throughout this I recommend that you stay honorable you do not want to go
around killing random innocent people stay honorable do the right thing I know
there's a few missions where you get some vote to be honourable or
dishonourable if you vote honourable every time and still it goes dishonourable
that is perfectly fine that is something out of your control but if you can help
it stay honorable because what you'll do is you'll get a set of missions that
will go towards the final mission and the final mission that you do will get
you I think will get you over a hundred dollars for completing which is very
good as soon as you've completed all those honorable missions there will be
no more missions to do unless you go dishonorable in which you're gonna want
to go around in saint-denis and this will link to a rank up method that I've
got my channel I will not go into depth talking about but if you'd like to see
that I'll leave a link in the description down below but what you want
to do is just kill a bunch of people go completely dishonorable as soon as you
become dishonorable you will unlock another set of missions where you can
start getting money there are only about eight or nine missions in total but by
completing all of them I think you'll get round about 500 to 600 dollars the
second way is to do showdown series and Races
with races you can get round about three dollars to ten dollars depending
on where you place in the race I have also got another video on this
channel which will show you how to do really well with races and how to win
more races in saint-denis I've got like a little track where you can go around
and I'll show you how to work out each and every race so you can go around and
win it every time with showdown series obviously it means that you have to be
good with races sometimes it comes 50/50 and the last hurdle what can happen is
someone just get wiped out and all you do is just carry on going through and
you can win with showdown series is a lot different you need to be good at the
game me personally I'm not that good at the game I'm pretty bad at killing
people I get kind of frustrated when I don't get to shoot the gun when I want
to shoot the gun because sometimes you press the trigger and it doesn't find it
irritates me because my opponents quicker than me but what it actually means is that
I'm just a bad player but pretty much showdown series can get you from
anywhere between $4 to $17 I recommend doing the large ones because there's
more players the more players there are the more money you have to potentially
be earning and like I said obviously you need to be a good player to get up to
lose $17 $18 somewhere around there but if you're a mediocre player like me what
you'll be doing is getting five or six dollars in which it'll probably be
better for you to start doing racing because if you have full lobby of racing
and you become first second or third normally what will happen is you'll get
around about $10 $8 somewhere around there which is just as good as doing a
showdown series and the races are normally a lot quicker so what you got to do
is figure out what type of player you are and whether or not your better doing
races or you're better doing showdown series the third way to make money on red dead
online is to use the 3 different hunting spots that I'm using right now
the first one is in black water then you've got one just above that which is
the manzanita post and then finally you've got one on the complete other
side of the map which is just outside Saint Denis yes realistically you can
hunt wherever you want but with these locations what you have is a butcher
just right round the corner the manzanita outpost you have to head
to black water but what's in the manzanita post you can get bears Cougars elks a
bunch of different stuff up in that forest just outside black water what you
have it bucks deers Bisons they did use to be a cougar in black water but that
being taken away but you can find two Cougars in the manzanita post which is
very good or you can get two different bears if you go to the manzanita post
what you're gonna want to do is go and get a second horse go and ride that horse
and then your other horse your main horse the horse that you own will follow
you closely behind if you whistle and then you can go to the manzanita post
go and collect two Cougars or two bears put one hide or carcass on one horse and
any other hide and carcass on the other horse and then all you have to do is
write the horse that you stole back to Blackwater and sell it at the butchers
and you can get twice as much money for your time and obviously the final place
is saint Denis with this you don't really need to go and get a second horse
there's a ton of birds around that location and all you have to do is shoot
the birds there are feathers in this game that can go for around about one
dollar and fifty cents each and when you kill a bird and it is perfect what you
can do is get 3 feathers out there plus two bird meat as well as the carcass
itself making you a ton of money just from one single bird this goes back to
what I was saying in the previous method if you are not good at showdown series
if you're not good at races what you can do is just go out shoot one single bird
if it's the right bird and if you shoot it correctly with the varmint rifle what
you can do is make more money from that than what you can do from just doing a
full race if you're a bad player at races the fourth way to make money in
Red Dead online is the Cougar method now what you want to do is go and spawn in
saint-denis the reason you're spawning in saint-denis is because it's the
furthest point away from where you're actually heading go down to the fast
travel and fast travel all the way to tumbleweed I believe that'll cost around
about $11 $13 because it is such a big distance but don't worry the first
thing you're gonna do is go down to tumbleweed go all the way to these
locations there's one here and there's one just above cholla Springs and what
you can do is get a cougar these Cougars can go for about 22 dollars if you get a
perfect carcass a perfect hide and the meat as well selling them all together
will get you around about $22 $23 I think somewhere between there and all
you have to do is alert it wait for it to start running towards you and pull out
your bow and arrow and shoot it in the face or you can
a bolt-action rifle as soon as you killed a cougar take it back to
tumbleweed where there is a butcher's sell out the butchers and then all you
have to do now is go back to the other location as soon as you do that take it
back to the butchers again sell it and then go back to the previous one all you
have to do is keep on doing this and it's a it's a bit of a circuit the other
way you can do this is to go and get a second horse again go to one location
kill the Cougar put on the back of one horse and then go to the other location
kill it and put it back on your horse by the time you go back to the butchers
sell everything and then go round again the Cougars will spawn back in meaning
that you can keep on doing this rinse and repeat making as much money as
possible twenty two dollars to twenty three dollars every time you sell a
cougar the reason you're gonna spawn in saint-denis and fast travel all the way
to tumbleweed and not spawn straight to tumbleweed is because if you spawn in
tumbleweed what you have is a ton of other players spawned in around you that
is just how online works the online places you in a position or put you in a
lobby where there are a ton of people in that area so that you're not there by
yourself so if you spawn in saint-denis what will happen is you'll be put into a
lobby where there is a ton of people in saint-denis but then you're gonna first
travel all the way to tumbleweed when there is no one this way there is no one
competing against you to go and get those Cougars and you can just keep on
grinding out this method peacefully with no trouble whatsoever
the final way I'm gonna show you to make money in Red Dead online it's probably
one of the easiest ways it does mean that you have to set it up and make sure that
there is no one in the area that's gonna Bob you I use Montana River for the
first time ever doing this what you want to do is go and get a deer carcass it
does not matter whether or not it's in perfect condition whether it's good or
poor as long as you have a deer do not skin the animal just bring the deer to
this location when you bring it to this location just chuck it on the floor and
wait what will happen is fish will be drawn into the deer but once they get
close to the deer because the water is so shallow in this area as soon as fish
touch the ground they seem to just die which means you can walk around and pick
them up because they haven't been shot on manhandled in any way what you'll get is
a perfect fish every time some of these fish will only be going for about
$0.50 but what you can get is a bunch of different bass which
will be going for $1.50 and there are a ton of these what you have is maybe
three or four in a row that will just swim into this and then die immediately
you can go around pick up all four of those fish and if they're all sea bass
what you're making is six dollars and it's just like that all you have to do
is just stand in that area and fish will be drawn in eventually at some point
it'll seem like fish will stop going into the deer you can either wait in
which all of a sudden a ton of fish will just come over or you can pick up the
deer drop it again and it will seem to reset everything and fish will start to
go in again this is a really good method for making you about $50 in round about
10 to 15 minutes and all you have to do is stand there there is the problem of
if someone sees you just standing about in Montana River Montana River if you don't
know is right at the centre of the map people crossed out once they travelled in
from Valentine - strawberry - black water anything from there - black water people
seem to go across this river so it does mean that if you're in this area someone
might go out their way just to go and kill you in which you're gonna want to
find another spot to find one of these spots is very easy there are a bunch of
them across the map all you need to do is find a place where it's shallow water
but it's still deep enough for fish to spawn and swim in there's a lot of these
areas in Blue water Marsh in which once you go there all you have to do is drop
a carcass down of some sort doesn't matter what the animal is I keep on
using deer just because it seems the most efficient in my head don't know why
you can put any animal any large animal down and all you have to do is just
stand there eventually fish will come in and you can see whether or not it's deep
enough for fish to spawn but still shallow enough that once they get close
to the deer or whatever animal you have is touching the floor and as soon as it
touches the floor it will die anyway that is the top five ways to make money
on Red Dead Redemption online if you'd like to see a part two to this or even a
top five ways to rank up in Red Dead online leave that in the comments down
below I'll be sure to get round to do that anyway guys I hope you guys did
enjoy if you did enjoy don't forget to leave a like and subscribe but for now
I'm going so see ya!

Free Guide to Start Private Practice Today | Complete Checklist for Therapists - Duration: 2:09.What's up guys! I hope you're well. This is a deviation from some of my usual
video formats, partly because it's the holiday so I'm giving myself a little
bit of a break, but also because I have an announcement for you. So if you are
just getting started in private practice or you're kind of gearing up to get
started in private practice someday, this is for you. I have a completely free
guide that walks you through every single step you need to take to go from
"I have no idea how to get started in private practice" to seeing your first
client in your practice. This is something I would have given an arm and
a leg for when I was first starting out in private practice. And the reason why
it's free is because when I was first starting out I was a postdoc making
minimum wage and there's no way I could fork out the money in order to pay for
some of the really great classes that are out there, but they're just too
expensive if you're on a budget. So this is made with you in mind if you're in a
similar position that I was in when I was getting started in private practice.
So go ahead and check it out. I have the link in the description box. Once you
click on the link it'll take you to a page where it invites you to share your
name and your email. Once you share those you'll be forwarded straight to the page
with the complete guide. And if it's the first time that you're sharing your
email with me I'll also send you an email with a link.
I won't spam you, the emails I send are really just free pieces of information
about how to start and grow your private practice. You'll notice too that once
you're checking out the guide there is a link to a free PDF that you can print
out. And that just has the complete checklist all on one page so that if
you're helped by having something that you can print out and like cross things
out or check the box off as you finish things, you have that there for you. Well
I hope you find this guide teaching you about how to start private practice
helpful and until next time, from one therapist to another: I wish you well.

BUTLER CREEK Flip-Open Eye-Piece Scope Cover / HONEST BUYER'S GUIDE - Duration: 3:17.the Butler Creek flip-open eye-piece scope cover now in this video we're gonna give
you a quick executive level overview of this buyer's guide from spadezilla.com
it is a researched review which is intended to save you time spent on
research there's no need to reinvent the wheel because the research has already
being done now before we get into the highlights of that research it is worth
noting that at the time of recording this product was the number three best
seller on Amazon under the Gunn scopes category so it's definitely a very
popular product however of course the key question is is it the right product
for you to help you answer that question this is the highlights of our research
now in regards to the positive reviews there's four main themes of praise and
they are that it represents an excellent solution that the caps stay in place
that the flipping up of the caps is quick and easy and people love the price
things to consider this is a neutral category firstly and perhaps most
importantly it is strongly recommended that you do not use the fitting charts
this isn't regards to figuring out the correct size for your optic and for some
reason there seems to be something wrong with the charts its leading people
astray and people getting very frustrated having ordered the wrong size
there are two other methods you can use to figure this out and there's details
about it here in this paragraph I'll let you check that out on the buyer's guide
number two we've provided a link to the official measuring guide which includes
instructions for one of these methods number three be aware that there is a
popping sound on opening the caps which could be frustrating for you depending
on your requirements there is a workaround and we'll come to that
shortly critical reviews now there was just two main themes of criticism the
first one not surprisingly is due to this hole sizing issue that we talked
about up here it really did cause a lot of frustration and people were venting
their frustration in the reviews having chosen ordered and received the wrong
size caps for their optic the hinge was the other thing that came in for
criticism with some critical reviewers now getting closer to the bottom of the
buyer's guide this here is the video review that we
most useful when we were doing our research we check out written reviews
and video reviews it is a little bit longer than it needs to be and so what
we've done is list the parts of the video that are most useful so you can
jump straight into the good stuff and save some more time now in regards to
this popping sound that we talked about the demonstration of how to open
it quietly is that 2 minutes 46 seconds into this video so that's one of the
reasons is quite helpful down the bottom we've also included the video version of
the measurement guide just be aware it does demonstrate the fitting chart
method as well as this caliper method only the caliper method is recommended
for the reasons already discussed okay the other thing to be aware of is you've
got links here to the product with these different retailers so if you quickly
want to compare prices it's very easy to do so so there you have it a quick
overview of this buyer's guide from Spadezilla in review of the butler creek
flip open eye-piece scope cover I do hope this saves you time in proves useful

Guide for the Winterlight Solstice & Perch hunt lvl 50+ [Tibia] - Duration: 5:42.Hey guys i decided to start mixing up my videos with new and old content in order to keep
the channel more fresh, let me know your thoughts after watching!
For this video i wanted to tell you guys about the new yearly event introduced this year.
The Winterlight Solstice event which runs from the 22 of december to the 10th of january.
This event consists on killing a boss with up to 5 players.
Doesnt include any sort of boss fighting and doesnt have a level requirement.
It can be done by lvl 20's with help of higher levels or it can be done by a team of lvl
50's
First head up to svargrond and Use this boat to get teleported to the island.
Here you can either find a barrel with a soft hammer inside and use it or pick up one from
the groud
once you have it look around for a bonny bunny.
Dont kill it and instead use the soft hammer on it and after clicking the body you will
get a frozen carrot.
Pay attention and dont get the bunnies confused as there is 2 types the brighter pink its
the one you use the soft hammer and the baleful bunny
its a regular monster that can be killed.
If you dont see any bunnies in the island just keep running around until you do because
they have a slow respawn timer
But Once you have the frozen carrot make a big snowball by using a regular snowball on
another one in the floor then use the frozen carrot on it to spawn an animated snowman
Kill it and then loot the twig of arms from it.
If you dont get one then you will have to wait another 5 minutes in order to spawn a
new snowman using the same way.
Repeat this until you get the twig of arms
If you dont have snowballs there is a few spots in the island that look like this where
you can just right click it to make snowballs.
Through out this process kill some of the percht monsters until you loot a Percht Horn
and a broken bell.
Once you have all these 3 items follow this path.
At the teleport use the twig of arms on the broken bell and you will get a percht disguise
that allows you to enter the teleport.
Once in the actual boss room you will start next to a bonfire and a green portal.
Click on the bonfire and grab the torch from the ground.
Then step on the green portal to turn yourself into a leaf golem head downstairs and go all
the way east
If you get hit by one of the beams you will be transformed back to the human form and
need to go back and step on the green portal again.
In the leaf golem form step on the grass and a tree wall will appear.
Use it 5 times in order get 5 branches.
pick them from the ground and bring them south
Here will be another bonfire which you need to use the torch to light it up then use the
branches on it.
Everyone needs to do this until a Warm Fire spawns.
Here the idea its to bring the warm fire north so that it explodes next to the boss to unfreeze
her
But theres a few things that you need to be careful with.
First aslong its possible its recommended to summon a skeleton or demon skeleton before
hand to take some of the aggro from the ice trolls.
If you summon a skeleton you can trap it behind firewalls so that it doesnt move and make
the ice trolls target them.
If you dont wanna do that the proper way would be to have a ek to take the aggro from the
warm fire and bring it north.
Regardless of who lures the warm fire it should just be one person while the others keeps
doing the previous steps and that person has to use the bonfire on
the south beforehand to turn into a burning fire.
When luring be careful that these stones aswell as the boss throw a beam infront of them that
kills the warm fire
aswell as these other stones that have a small aoe kind of like an exori near them that also
damages the elemental but this one doesnt kill it with one hit
Once you bring the warm fire next to the queen it will do damage to her and then go back
and start over again
Do this 4 times and the boss will be unfrozed and now it can be attacked, But dont worry
it wont fight back, atleast at the making of this video.
Just make sure this time everyone goes south and click on the bonfire first to turn into
the burning form then go north and let everyone attack once
because the boss dies in like 8 turns so watch out.
And thats it.
grab your loot and go out through a teleport near the west bonfire.
If this is your first time killing the boss you will receive the Percht Outfit right away.
Tecnically the only way to fail this boss its by frezzing and getting kicked out of
the room, this happens if you step on the snow on the north area without
the burning form or if you dont go near the bonfire for too long so just watch out for
these.
If you loot a percht skull the item is used for the sleight mounts, to get them head east
in the island and talk to the npc Frosty about it.
The other drops from the boss like the crowns, icicle and fires seem to be only for decoration
purposes at the moment but this can change.
And the tokens and other items are just regular profit which its usually 5 silver tokens and
from 1 to 5 gold token making it a very profitable boss
This boss has a cooldown of 20 hours and everytime you want to do it you must get the items for
the disguise again
Lastly as a bonus if you're within level 50 to 80's you should try hunting the percht
monsters, At first i thought they would be really good for profit
because while we were doing the quest the first time we seperately were killing these
monsters and getting a lot of item drops such as magma and glaciar pieces
So i did a hunt on the bottom floors towards the boss and even though i overstimated the
drop rate and ended up making like 80k every 15 min which might still be good for you
the experience turned out to be decent.i was making 1.7kk an hour on 200% which would be
around the 850k's on 100%
and sure im very high level for these monsters so i wouldnt say this is the kind of experience
you can get
But In terms of damage my level doesnt make much difference because these monsters have
600hp and their damage is compared to a dragon but where i do make a difference its on my
speed to move from pull to pull.
However even if you do manage to make even 500k on 100% at a lower level
on solo or duo its probably worth it.
I recommend if you're at a solo ek probably wait until 90 to be more efficient, If you're
duo ek druid probably even as low as lvl 60' could hunt here.
For solo mages it might not be worth at all but perhaps level 70's should try it out...
in the worst case scenario u might be making some charming points
so give it a chance and let us know in the comments the results.
thank you for watching and see you next time

Getting Started in Ravnica - D&D Companion Starter Set Miniatures - Guildmasters' Guide to Ravnica - Duration: 19:22.Hello and welcome to the Gallant Goblin!
I'm Theo and today we're looking at the companion starter sets
for the Guildmasters' Guide to Ravnica: Icons of the Realms campaign setting.
These are prepainted miniatures that come in set collections.
You have Companion Set 1 and Companion Set 2.
Each of these packs contains 5 figures that you can use in your game.
They're meant to be PCs [player characters] for your players
but you could also use them as NPCs [non-player characters].
These are prepainted miniatures for your campaign.
They are representative of the guilds that you can play as characters in your campaign.
Each figure is supposed to represent a different guild.
They aren't labeled with the guild name so you kind of have to use some deduction to figure out
which guild they're supposed to belong to.
But a lot of them have the emblems on them or they're
very clear about which guild they're supposed to belong to.
One thing that I wanted to do a little differently in this video
is that most of my videos are for the DM [Dungeon Master] to look at to plan their campaign or
to find out what stories they can tell within their campaign.
I think that you can also show this video to your players.
This will help them decide which guild, maybe, they want to belong to as players;
what race they want to play;
what stories they can tell within their own character in your campaign.
So we're going to look at each of these individual minis and while we do,
we're going to talk about the guild they belong to and what sort of stories that character may tell.
So let's take a closer look and see what we think.
The Boros Legion is an independent army led by angels and devoted to establishing peace and justice.
This Minotaur Fighter belongs to the Boros Legion and the guild's emblem is on his uniform.
You could play as a true believer in the Boros mission,
a cynic who joined to continue your family's long history of service,
or just someone lured by the lofty promises of a talented recruiter.
Boros guild members can requisition simple equipment for temporary use
and access any Boros garrison for healing and rest.
You get a salary of 1 gold piece (gp) a week
but you must obey the orders of your superiors.
You may act independently only if you've earned their trust
or are willing to face the consequences of insubordination.
As a member of the Boros Legion, you may be ordered to contain a Rakdos performance
that has gone horribly out of control,
defend against incursions made by the Gruul Clans, who are seeking to destroy civilization,
or just quell the occasional uprising by the unwashed, guildless masses.
Perhaps you've been sent on a more investigative mission
such as tracking shipments of rotten food from the Golgari Swarm
or rooting out Dimir spies in the Boros leadership.
The very first Magic: The Gathering plot set in Ravnica
featured a human Boros officer named Agrus Kos.
He very much fit the stereotype of the hard-nosed cop,
complete with a drinking problem and a distaste for rookies.
Minotaurs as a 5th edition playable race were added in the "Guildmasters' Guide to Ravnica."
With a bonus to Strength and Constitution, and horns as natural weapons,
minotaurs make fine warriors on the battlefield and are a natural fit for the Boros Legion.
They closely resemble Klingons in their devotion to honor, fierce loyalty, dedication to their bloodline,
and their imposing presence on the battlefield.
More chaotic-aligned minotaurs may choose to join the Rakdos or Gruul Clans.
In other D&D settings, the origin of the minotaur race is tied to the demon lord Baphomet.
Members of the Golgari Swarm consider themselves just one small part of a huge living organism,
part of a never-ending cycle of life, death, rot, and rebirth.
Members of the Golgari have no fear of death, as it's just another part of nature's ongoing cycle.
The values of the Golgari closely align with those of the elves of Ravnica:
nature, growth, harmony, and stability,
making the Swarm a natural home for elves seeking a guild to join.
Golgari Swarm guildmembers know of hidden underground passageways in the city
and can guide their party through them to avoid any unwanted attention on the surface.
These subterranean tunnels are far from safe however
so while you may avoid certain dangers on the surface
you're very likely to have an eventful trip underground.
The Swarm relies on its members to advance the greater good.
They may send you into forgotten parts of the undercity to recover lost treasures or powerful artifacts.
As you gain renown in the guild, you may be invited to join the Ochran, a Golgari cult of mercenaries
operating out of the undercity.
With them you may be assigned tasks concerning thievery, assassination,
or the protection of important guild members such as Guildmaster Jarad's chancellors.
You may be asked to steal important objects or information from other guilds
either to help the Golgari or to cripple their rivals.
You may be tasked with assassinating outspoken opponents of the Golgari
such as overzealous Boros captains leading raids close to Golgari territory.
The Izzet are the mad scientists of Ravnica
tinkering in their labs until the inevitable explosion signals catastrophic failure, or catastrophic success.
Members of the Izzet League may begin as mere research attendants or apprentices
but eventually they'll work themselves up to become skilled mages, alchemists, lab supervisors,
or even flamethrower-wielding scorchbringers defending their labs in the most destructive way possible.
Typical Izzet guildmembers are obsessive, brilliant, inspired agents of chaos.
It's important to point out that while much of the Izzet's work involves mad inventions and massive destruction,
they're also responsible for the general infrastructure of Ravnica.
As a member of the League you will have a basic knowledge of the buildings of Ravnica
and you have access to most of the blueprints of the structures in the city.
These blueprints may provide you with knowledge of entry points, structural weaknesses,
or even secret rooms.
As a spellcaster you'll make your way up the Izzet ladder by proving your skill with magic.
Most Izzet sorcerers get their magic from the Wild Magic origin
but there are some who can claim a Draconic bloodline.
Typical specializations include the School of Conjuration, Evocation, or Transmutation.
You'll probably be tied to a particular laboratory in the League
but you may be an independent researcher working as a consultant
or you may be a coordinator in charge of synchronizing the efforts of different laboratories.
The Selesnya Conclave is calm, harmonious, and rather cult-like.
They consider themselves a blessed community committed to resisting the ambitions of the other
less blessed guilds
with military force if necessary.
The calm demeanor of the Selesnya Conclave makes it a natural home for the loxodon
who are an oasis of calm themselves in the busy streets of Ravnica.
You'll often find them humming or chanting softly to themselves
and sitting in perfect stillness.
Don't take them lightly though because if a loxodon is provoked, it can pose a mighty threat.
Loxodons often make their living as artisans
and many work for the Conclave
tirelessly and patiently constructing their cathedral-like arboretums.
As a member of the Selesnya Conclave you have access to any enclave in the city
as a place of safety to rest and recover as long as you have not proven yourself a danger to your guildmates.
You can receive healing services for free
though you must provide any material components needed for spells.
The guild encourages the subjugation of the individual for the good of the Conclave
but it also celebrates the diversity of individuals.
Your superiors in the guild will support a variety of methods to achieve your ends
as long as those ends are seen as bettering the position of the guild
and not just serving your own agenda.
The Dryads That Be keep close tabs on their charges
and will not hesitate to intervene if they believe you aren't acting in the Conclave's best interests.
As a member of House Dimir you'll most likely be employed as a spy
using secrets and misinformation to advance your agenda.
A master impostor, you'll gain a secret identity in order to infiltrate another guild to learn its secrets,
keep tabs on its activities,
and perhaps undermine it from within.
For example, you may be tasked with posing as an Azorius guard or supervisor
in order to gain access to a high-profile prisoner in an Azorius prison.
You'll have documentation, established acquaintances, and disguises to help you access your secondary guild.
You can also drop this guise at any time to slip away into the guildless masses of Ravnica.
Dimir employs a network of spies, thieves, assassins, and mind mages behind a facade.
This guild fronts as a home for couriers, information brokers, investigators, reporters, and archivists.
While they do trade in information, they do not necessarily get their wares by the most legal means.
You'll use thieves' cant, runes, and nonverbal signals to surreptitiously communicate with other Dimir agents
often in plain sight.
The Orzhov Syndicate is essentially the mafia posing as a religious institution.
The guild's mission is to channel the wealth from Ravnican society into the coffers of the Orzhov
with most of the spoils going to those in leadership positions within the Syndicate, naturally.
As a lower-ranking member of the guild, your best hope is to siphon money off the top
as it passes through your hands
until you've secured a more prominent position in the guild.
Once you've proven your usefulness to the Orzhov and worked your way up the ladder
you'll be able to exert leverage over those below you
ordering them to do mundane tasks such as delivering messages, procuring a carriage,
or cleaning up after an unfortunate incident behind the cathedral.
There are several paths of advancement within the Syndicate.
As an advokist you'll be one of the Orzhov lawyers
overseeing contracts, representing clients in Azorius courts,
or prosecuting those who fail to pay their debts to the Orzhov.
Some clerics of the Order Domain choose this path
using their magic to draw the truth out of the accused or those who dare to cross the Orzhov.
Others may specialize in encrypting texts, warding vaults, or cloaking secrets.
Or you may choose to fill a more traditional cleric role
presiding over congregations, hearing confessions, and collecting indulgences.
Your spellcasting ability does not come from a god but the collective power of the spirits that rule the guild.
Or perhaps you are the rarest of the Orzhov clerics
one who believes the guild's wealth should be used to ease the suffering of the downtrodden.
This may put you in conflict with the powers internal to the guild, which is not a safe place to be.
Rakdos is a demonic cult known for their bloody, kinetic bacchanals.
Guild members have a flair for the dramatic, to put it lightly.
They love the spotlight and want to always be the center of attention.
They're masters of their craft, whether that be trapeze, dancing, fire eating, or sword juggling.
Inspired by the screams of the crowd, the performance is never enough until the mayhem and terror
have spilled onto the streets.
Members of the Cult of Rakdos want nothing more than to please their master,
the 30-foot tall demon Rakdos.
Rakdos is the embodiment of hedonism
delighting in violence and chaos.
He's a tough audience though.
Should he find your performance lacking, he may make an early curtain call with his enormous, burning scythe.
People will recognize you as a member of the Cult of Rakdos
and they're careful not to draw your ire or attention.
They'll let you get away with petty crimes as long as you aren't witnessed by any legal authorities.
A little minor thievery or vandalism will be overlooked
for fear that you'll cause even more trouble if confronted.
The biggest threats to the Rakdos are the Azorius Senate and the Boros Legion
both overly concerned with order, justice, and conformity.
This of course makes them ripe for ridicule, harassment, and the occasional assassination.
The Boros in particular are currently occupied dealing with Gruul incursions
but the Rakdos always know in the back of their heads that any sufficiently disruptive performance
with a high enough body count might bring the wrath of the Boros Legion down on their heads.
Rakdos performers are spellcasters with spectacular flair
using expressive and often dangerous arcane tricks.
Spellcasters may be bards of the College of Valor,
warlocks of the Fiend, that fiend being the demon lord Rakdos,
or possibly wizards of Wild Magic marked by Rakdos at an early age.
While the world of Ravnica is a sprawling metropolis
wild, uncivilized areas still exist.
Abandoned neighborhoods, overgrown parks, crumbling condemned buildings,
these all make up the rubblebelt which adjoins the Tenth District.
The rubblebelt is home to the Gruul Clans,
a savage society that clings to what they call the Old Ways.
They are often filled with a primal rage
and a disdain for those who seem to get all the benefits of civilization.
Goblins are creatures of raw impulses
and are often members of guilds that value that quality
such as the Rakdos, the Izzet, or the Gruul Clans.
Some may even find a way to channel their impulses with discipline and join the Boros Legion
though let's be honest, half the draw is the shiny weapons and armor available to members of the Boros.
Many goblins are guildless and make their way as members of street gangs.
As a member of the Gruul Clans you are intimately familiar with the areas of the city that most people shun.
You can find a suitable place for you and your allies to hide or rest in ruined areas of the city.
Most members of the Gruul Clans have a simple goal:
fight—unleash your rage, flatten buildings, and defeat those who stand in your way.
Destroy.
You may or may Nott be brave, but you are Gruul.
Members will frequently be summoned to participate in a raid their clan is launching against the city
or against a group of its defenders.
The clan leader may also send you on a special missions.
You might join a small group of Gruul warriors on a dangerous charge deep into the settled streets
to plunder a certain location, retrieve an item stolen from your clan, or assault a Boros garrison.
Sometimes your objective might be more esoteric.
With prophecies of the return of Ilharg the Raze-Boar spreading like wildfire among the Gruul druids
you might be asked to carry out some task that the druids believe will speed his coming.
Such a task might involve collecting a sacred relic held in an Orzhov vault
or collecting sacrifices for a grand ceremony in the Raze-Boar's honor.
With Gruul Clans smashing down the gates and Rakdos performances causing chaos in the streets
the only thing protecting Ravnica from complete destruction
is its foundation of law and order as embodied in the Azorius Senate.
As a member of the Senate you enact and enforce the laws
that make Ravnican society function smoothly and safely.
You'll have authority to enforce the laws on the street
which will inspire a certain amount of respect and fear as you interact with the citizens of Ravnica.
People will likely mind their manners in your presence and try to avoid your direct attention.
They'll assume you have a right to be wherever you are.
All it takes to gain an audience with most anyone you want to talk to is a flash of your Azorius insignia.
Keep in mind that if you abuse these powers you will draw the ire of your superiors
who will not hesitate to strip you of your position.
You may be tasked with cracking down on the Gruul Clans through the use of creatively-written laws
outlawing their presence in as many public places as possible.
You may get revenge on Rakdos performers who ridicule you on the street
by banning outdoor performances in their territory.
When other guilds grow too big for their britches
it's the Azorius Senate who is in charge of making sure they do not upset the balance of power
within Ravnican society.
Armed with precognitive mages, unbending paladins, and street level enforcers
it's the Azorius Senate that keeps Ravnica from slipping into chaos.
The Simic Combine sees science as the means of bringing nature and civilization into harmony
shaping life to match its environment and shaping the environment to match the life that it contains.
To keep pace with the ever advancing civilization, nature needs some assistance.
This assistance mostly comes in the form of biomancers and terraformers.
In this process, if the Simic Combine happens to create super soldiers or
horrific mutant creatures that can bolster its defenses, well, so much the better.
The vedalken are a race introduced in the "Guildmasters' Guide to Ravnica."
They believe that nothing is perfect and every imperfection is an opportunity for improvement.
Progress is an endless march toward a state of perfection that can never be reached.
While they may feel all the same emotions as the other races,
they are skilled at not overtly displaying what they feel.
Cool rationality guides their actions.
Their curious intellects and rational minds incline vedalken toward membership in the Simic Combine.
As a member of the combine, when you attempt to learn or recall a magical or scientific fact,
if you don't know that information outright, you know where and from whom you can obtain it.
Usually this information comes from a Simic laboratory, or sometimes from an Izzet facility,
or a library or a university.
As a scientist within the Combine you are tasked with magically manipulating the forces of life and nature
to shift the world toward the guild's utopian ideal.
Most Simic wizards specialize in the School of Transmutation
using their magic to alter living creatures or alter the natural environment.
You may also choose to be a deepsage living an ascetic, contemplative life.
You would devote yourself to meditating
on the philosophical principles of the Holdfast and the Upwelling,
a pair of complementary ideas that describe that describe the Simic approach to nature and the city.
Deepsages inscribe short philosophical riddles bordering on paradoxes
into shells, exoskeletons, and stones
and Simic guildmembers reflect on these sayings
to advance their understanding of the Combine's role in the world.
Deepsage wizards typically specialize in the School of Conjuration
and deepsage monks follow the Way of the Four Elements
focusing on air and water over the other two elements.
So that's what's inside the companion sets.
Only a couple of other things to note.
The packaging for set 1 actually has a misprint on the back.
It says that there's a human cleric included but actually it is the human rogue here.
There's no [human] cleric in set 1.
Otherwise these figures are very nice—nicely detailed, nicely painted.
You can probably use most of them for any campaign setting even if you're not interested in playing Ravnica.
The minotaur is certainly able to be played in a Sword Coast campaign.
Also he looks rather like a dragonborn if you want to use him for that.
You would have to come up with a little bit of an explanation for the loxodon or the vedalken
but I trust that you can come up with something.
Otherwise if you are playing a Ravnica campaign
this is a great way to set up a party for your players
especially if you're going to do the cross-guild representation of parties
rather than having everyone play as members of the Izzet League or the Boros Legion or something.

Tokyo Ramen Top 5 Must Eat at Shinjuku | Japanese Food Guide - Duration: 18:05.-------------------------------------------
The Ultimate Local's Guide to Honolulu || Gatekeepers - Duration: 20:11.- So we're goin' shark diving, in Hawaii.
- You guys wanna make sure you keep myself
between you and the boat at all times.
- Without the cage.
- They view the boat as a possible food source.
- No cages?
- Yeah, I'm not goin' in.
- So, let me break it down for you.
The past 10 years, I've been traveling the world,
tour managing artists, and showing them the best spots.
I know that anywhere you go, you need that solid connect.
We've taken submissions from people claiming to have
the keys to their city, now we're traveling the country
to take them up on their word.
I'm Justin Lizama and this is Gatekeepers.
So I've just arrived to Honolulu.
When you think of Honolulu, you think of pineapples,
poke bowls, and getting lei'd off the airplane.
(sensual music).
But I'm looking for an experience that
you typically wouldn't see on a postcard.
And find me some spam.
Just a little tight.
I'm about to link up with Zak Noyle,
he's a surf photographer that spends
most of his life in the water.
He claims to know the ins and outs of the city
that no tourist would ever find.
I'm hoping that he can impress me and show me why
Honolulu's one of the most fun and entertaining cities
in the whole world.
(tropical guitar music)
Zak's pin drop matches up with the location,
got some water, it's gonna be a great day.
What's up, man?
- Hey, Justin!
My name is Zak Noyle, born here in Honolulu, Hawaii.
I'm a professional water photographer.
Welcome to Hawaii.
- Thank you.
- Happy to have you here.
I'm gonna show Justin a great time.
I'm gonna show him some hidden gems,
really get him out of his comfort zone.
First of all, what are you wearing?
Jeans and shoes on the beach.
So double negative.
This is my buddy Austin's Hawaii sailing canoe.
We're gonna go for a little sail.
- This looks amazing.
- I know we're gonna have a great time together.
So Justin, this is my buddy Austin.
- How's it going?
- Yo.
- Right on.
- This is his Hawaiian sailing canoe.
Austin actually has been taught ancient
Hawaiian voyaging ways and was a part of
Hokule**a, which sailed around the world
using no modern day technology.
So they're navigating off the stars,
the clouds, the winds, like the sea, it's insane.
- Pretty much how they thought people
first came to Hawaii from Tahiti.
- That's amazing.
Being able to paddle out for a little bit was a great
way to just meet up and get a perspective, and a sense,
and the vibe of the island.
My dad's from Guam, the closest I've been is whenever
I've visited Honolulu, so it's always hit home for me,
so much--
- It's not always super, super green.
We've been having a lot of rain,
so it's pretty lush right now.
Tourists will drive through this area, but it's a lot more
of the people living here, and the locals and the residents.
And that's just the beauty of this side,
it's a little hidden.
This is Hawaii.
And you know we will see a lot of other amazing things,
we'll eat great food, but--
- Dude, I'm not gonna complain, I spend so much time
in cities, I will take this any time.
Any time.
We could just stay here.
- Okay, let's just stay here.
We'll order food.
- Based on how this trip started,
I have an expectation--
Oh, a crab.
I lost it.
Is that a stingray?
And now we'll jump right into the city
and really see what's going on.
- The next spot I'm taking Justin to is Pioneer Saloon.
It's right down the street from where I grew up.
We have a thing here called plate lunches.
And it's a little bit of rice, pasta salad,
macaroni salad.
I get the salmon flakes with the avocado and the shiso.
It is incredible!
Alright.
We eat.
- Well, here it is.
Wow!
Thanks for bringing me here, I love the vibe.
- For Justin I ordered the hamachi collar,
it's some of the most tender meat on the fish.
- This is some solid hamachi collar right here.
- Yeah.
- Wow.
What's this, shoyu?
- What we're eating is a shiso-wakami rice.
So it's got the seaweed, you can try mine.
Try a bunch of that, the salmon and everything.
Very flavorful. You can taste a lot of different things.
- I love shiso.
- In the rice like that, it tastes so good.
- Even for this collar being fried, it's very light.
Very delicate.
Do I look full?
Out of this world.
This takes me back to like my
grandmother and grandfather's cooking.
We'd always go visit them, and they would always
fry up some fish.
- They just keep adding these amazing things,
Like that's a new dish that you're eating there.
And it's so good.
- It's so good.
Pioneer is definitely a place I would come back to.
I love finding spots that I can recommend
that make me look good.
If someone's coming to Hawaii for the first time,
what would you recommend?
- Get in the water, every single day, at some point.
- Do you have a preference between surfing
or body surfing or--
- I love body surfing, that's a lot of fun too.
I was very fortunate to shoot the Eddie Aikau competition.
One of the most prestigious surf contests in the world.
They only run it when it's 20 feet,
which is 40 to 50 foot faces on a wave.
I sit in the water for eight hours straight, swimming.
- Yeah, I'd say eight hours in the water is an achievement.
- Yeah, I was kind of not well after.
- Is it hard swimming through the break or
do you take other means of transportation to get out there?
- So, luckily there was a jet ski out at the time,
and the jet ski took me out in the water.
There's a few times at the bay close out.
And that means that the waves are over 30 feet,
60 foot faces, easy.
And at that time, all the jet skis had to run
straight up the beach, so they're gunning in
with this huge wave crashing behind them,
as fast as they could, and I'm trying to dive
under the wave.
- Oh wow.
- And left out there, so that was an interesting
moment in time.
Hey, how you doing?
- How you doing?
- Hey, Justin, how you doing?
- How do you like the food?
- Amazing. - It's so good!
- That's good.
- Always, always great food.
This is delicious.
- I was so excited to see the collar on there.
- Okay (laughs).
- You guys do that a lot or just every once in a while?
- So, this my special, actually.
- Wow!
- So good timing for me then.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- Now that I've destroyed this himachi collar,
what do we got next?
- I hope you're ready to get back in the water.
- Yeah, I think with all this rice,
I'm ready to burn some off.
- To me, getting in the water and just paddling around
at sunset time is the best way you can finish your day.
We're going to the Moniz family surf shop.
We're gonna rent some boards and we're gonna head
out into Waikiki for a little sunset surf sesh.
- Amazing.
- Looks like a good one for you, this is a 11 foot board.
I think this will be a good one for the waves today for us.
- Works for me.
Haven't been on a long board for a minute,
but hey.
- You know what you're doing.
- Little bit, little bit.
- He paddled great, he had a long board,
and I definitely helped him and he got right
out there into the waves.
- The waves were a little small, but definitely
a great way to end the day, little paddling to
burn off some of that rice.
Day one's been a blast.
Amazing food, good time in the water.
Pretty much got a small dose of what Hawaii is.
- It's been pretty calm in the water so far,
but wait until Justin sees what I have in store
for him tomorrow morning.
- Water, water as far as the eye can see.
And hey, speaking of what the eye can see,
how 'bout we start this morning off right
with some acai bowls?
- Did you have a good time yesterday?
- I had a great time.
- Ah, epic.
But today, we're gonna go shark diving.
Yeah.
- So, like cage?
- No.
So I'm gonna take Justin shark diving today,
on my friend Kaiwi Berry's boat.
It's called Island View Hawaii,
and he does shark diving without the cage.
- There's no cages?
- Yeah, I'm not goin' in.
- Two most common types of sharks that we'll see,
on this dive, is sandbar sharks and Galapagos sharks.
And the tigers, they range anywhere from
eight to 14 feet--
- The girth, though.
- Oh yeah, it's probably half the size of the boat.
- Wow.
Jesus.
- You'll know it's a tiger before you even
see the markings on it's skin.
- So we're going shark diving in Hawaii,
a dream of mine.
Super stoked.
- Justin is a little more ready than I expected.
- Glad I didn't shave today, get a couple nicks,
that could have been a problem.
- My buddy Kaiwi here,
I've known for probably 15 years, at least.
- At least.
- So how'd you learn how to do this?
- Yeah, so my grandfather was a crab fisherman.
He'd take the old bait and throw it overboard.
Sharks, being opportunists,
would come up and get a free meal.
I just gained this relationship with sharks and
they're my little buddies.
You know, feeding them out of my hand,
naming 'em, like oh that's blah blah, you know.
You guys wanna make sure you keep myself
between you and the boat at all times.
They view the boat as a possible food source.
- Justin was a natural in the water, his first time.
He didn't show any signs of fear.
He was eager to get in the water.
- You know, these guys wouldn't be doin' it
if they didn't think it was safe,
or at least manageable.
- Most important thing, when you're in the water like that,
is to remain calm and cool, and he did.
- Shark diving was phenomenal.
That was definitely an experience of a lifetime.
It was murky, it was spooky.
Saw about six sharks, underneath me, around me.
They're kind of zippin' by.
It was pretty cool.
Definitely worth it.
Tyler was having such a bad time
that I wanted to have a good time in the water.
So there was my motivation.
Hop in the water, that's the cure
to any type of sea sickness.
You're welcome.
- So this is my boy's shop, Purve donut shop.
- Always down for something sweet.
- They just opened recently, wait 'til you see
the creations that they have.
- Oh wow.
- Yeah, how good is this?
Great names, look at this.
- Oh, you're killing me smalls, a little take on
some s'mores.
Let's do the sanchez, a little cinnamon and sugar.
- Hollow I.T. bag (laughs).
- Nom-nom nutbuster.
- Unicorn butt sneeze.
- Oompa-loompa wet dreamsicle.
- That one's good for Tyler.
- I think we got one of everything. - Would you like to sample our Granida?
We'd love to, thank you.
- Is this granida? - Yeah.
- You got it in your mustache?
- Tough on ice cream.
I don't care how old I get,
I could always watch these donuts being made.
I don't know what it is, it's entrancing.
- It's all handmade, to order, so you're getting
the freshest donut possible.
Great to see you.
This is Justin, this is Brion.
- Hey what's up, man?
- How are you? - This is his spot.
- And my grandmother always said, donuts equal love.
- Yeah, he loves me.
- Can I show him a little bit of this,
what's going on back here?
- So what got you guys into donuts?
I mean, you know, other than the obvious.
- It's a lifestyle, it's fun.
- I hope it tastes fun.
Oh wow, getting a fresh one.
- Wow.
- That's gonna be the hulk smash.
- The hulk smash?
Oh wow, it's mint icing.
I love some mint chocolate chip icing.
- What do I have here?
- That's gonna be the sunburnt holiday,
lemon with li hing mui.
- So li hing mui is a local kind of treat here.
- It's a dry plum.
- We have it on everything.
- This is pretty fluffy, coming out warm, this is nice.
- Yeah, we pride ourselves in the donut itself.
We have a lot people order the birthday suit,
which is just the plain donut, nothin' on it.
- It's so good.
- We're gonna give you guys a little treat as well.
- This is a top secret menu.
- Whoa!
I love bustin' out the blow torch whenever I cook stuff.
- It's really healthy for you.
You're gonna want more, trust me.
- Oh wow, thank you.
Oh man.
Oh man!
Oh my goodness.
- Before I take you out tonight, we gotta get you changed.
We're gonna check out IOLANI,
my sister and her husband own it,
and we'll get you some clothes for going out.
- Great, it's nice havin' a wardrobe personnel on duty.
- Always!.
- Thanks.
- Gotta keep you lookin' like the locals.
Hey guys.
- Hey.
- I think I'm gonna go with that crane shirt, ya,
you guys like that?
Is this sicker?
- This one's kind of tight too, though.
- That one's super sick.
Oh, wait the blue one's kind of sicker, ya.
This one's even sicker.
- Who's the sickos that's listening
to us change out there?
- Yup.
- Next I'm taking Justin to Ono Seafood,
the best poke bowls in the world.
Guys are gonna snap when I go eat some other poke bowl,
ya like the place.
Oh yeah, we're not the best one?.
Hey Kim, how are you doing? - Hey Zak!
- This is my friend Justin.
- Good to meet you. - Nice to meet you.
- Tellin' him about the best poke bowls in the world,
so we're here.
Why don't you order, man?
- Alright, let's take a look.
That's you.
- Oh man!
- That looks beautiful.
- That is so good!
- That looks absolutely, look at that.
I got the spicy one, this is your signature?
- This is it.
- Oh wow.
- Right?
- Try it with the rice, they put the sauce on,
it's mental (laughing).
- Yeah, dude, this is.
- He doesn't got words.
He's got no words.
I made him speechless, guys.
- That's a home run for sure.
- At a time, my girlfriend and I would come here
several times a week.
It was just that good.
- When something is this good, you just crave it.
- I can't wait 'til you text me, a few weeks,
you're like, "Hey Zak, can you send me one of those?"
- I know man, I know, that's totally true.
Ono Seafood poke, delicious.
Pretty much the best poke I've ever had.
This has to be on Thrillist's
top 10 list poke spots for sure.
- Number one.
- Yeah. How long has this spot actually
been here?
- Um. Since 1995.
- Oh, I should read better.
- Best poke in Hawaii since '95.
- I don't so read so good.
- You know especially in this day and age,
where poke is everywhere, I wanted to show him what real
poke was all about.
It's very easy to mess something up, so simple.
Good poke doesn't need to be so overly technical
or have all kinds of things to it.
- What do you think makes a good poke versus a bad one?
- The biggest thing to me is the quality of the fish.
- Yeah.
- Because when you bite into that, you don't want it
slimy, you don't want it fishy.
- Yeah, if you can smell the fish,
it's gone.
It's done.
See ya.
- These guys are picking up fresh, all the time.
- You know what I find pretty spectacular,
every place that we've been, it's either been
friends running it or family, I mean just that sense
of community here on the island.
- That's what I love about Hawaii, that you kind of
know everyone.
- Coming from the island culture myself,
it's kind of just, it's innate.
With my grandparents leaving Guam and moving to D.C.,
and growing up there, anybody that was in the South Pacific,
come and hang out with me, as friends.
- If we look inside here right now, Kim's mom is in there,
who has some original recipes.
Kim's daughter's in there.
- Right. Oh absolutely.
- That's so cool.
- This is my mom.
- Hi. - How you doing?
- Thank you for letting us be here.
Thank you the boss.
Being able to introduce Justin to Kim was really important
because I admire so much about how she runs it
as a family business.
- Hi Kim, how you doing? - Hi Zak, how are you?
- Great, this is amazing.
- I just wanna say thank you.
- You're welcome.
- This is beyond amazing.
How does somebody get into poke business?
- You know, we keep it simple, we keep the quality
and we keep it small, and I think that's what,
that's why we're so popular.
- Yeah, that one first bite that somebody takes,
and that quality isn't there, that's it.
- That's it.
- It's game over. - Exactly.
- I've come many times, and stood in a line for like
30, 40 minutes, so the thing wraps around the--
but I know what I'm getting.
- Yeah, if you go too big, you lose the quality.
- Well we've had so much food and activity,
I think our next stop is grabbin' a drink,
somewhere local here in Honolulu.
To me I really like Bevy. It's in a really rad area and it's always got great people and good music.
- Street of thorns for you.
- It's the street of thorns!
- Give you a little bit of aloha.
And then yours must be the colonel mustard.
It's a rhubarb gastric, little bit of Bombay sapphire gin,
carpano antica.
This one is a house-infused, mustard-infused
buffalo trace.
Enjoy your drinks.
- Thank you so much, appreciate it.
- Cheers.
- And little known thing in all these shows,
I love mustard and pickles,
so I'm gonna have to try that in a second.
But, cheers. - Absolutely.
Cheers.
- Wow.
That's just like a bouquet, a bouquet of flavor right there.
- Yup.
- Let me get a, clean this.
Woo, that's got some kick to it.
- I wanted to bring Justin to a bar that I really enjoy,
someplace that I go frequently,
and has a great ambiance.
I wanted to take him someplace that I go, truly,
with my friends.
- Ross, old boy!
- Hey!
- What's up, man. Justin.
- How you doing?
- Great to meet you guys.
Cheers.
So, is this one of your favorite spots to hang?
- It's a regular spot, for sure.
- It's a regular?
- Yeah.
- Never met an oyster I didn't like,
got some shishito peppers.
That's gonna be tricky with the mustache.
- Mai tai, 2010.
- Cheers. - Epic.
(laughing).
- Love these, I love these cups.
- This is from 1963.
- That's sick.
- I might need to go shoppin'.
- It's hard to pinpoint his favorite thing that he did.
I think that he was really excited about the shark diving,
and I think it lived up to the hype.
- Cageless.
- Cageless, yeah.
First time in the water with the sharks, ever.
- And you're like, did I just see a shadow
or a shape, and it's like.
- They just appear and then disa-
- Jumping out of a perfectly good boat,
it's like skydiving, like jumping out of a perfectly
good plane.
- For me, coming to Honolulu, coming to Hawaii,
seeing the community, food, the people, the activities,
it's something that genuinely moves me.
It makes me feel like a person.
- Cheers boys!
- Cheers.
- Cheers, great to meet you.
- Yeah, Clay.
- Likewise.
- I know Justin will give me a call next time.
I'm gonna give him a call when I go to Utah,
and we're gonna hang there, and he's gonna come back here,
we're gonna hang.
I don't doubt it (laughing).
- That's a wrap.
- I will definitely be in touch.
- Yes, man.
- You can just come stay with me, too.
We do it all, ride mountain bikes, dirt bikes,
snowboard.
I wish I could share every taste, ever flavor, every
scent with you but the only way that you're gonna be
able to do it, is to come here and check Hawaii off
of your bucket list.
Hawaii has always been a special place for me
just because of my South Pacific roots on my dad's side.
The food here is amazing, you see how community
and family come together.
Thanks Honolulu, it was unreal, Zak was a perfect
gatekeeper.

TV Guide Calls Chris Pratt Problematic? - Duration: 7:55.good morning everybody and welcome back to Gold Shaw farm it's a lovely day
here in northern Vermont it's about 28 degrees and it's snowing or sort of
freezing rain ish it's like on the border between the two the Ducks are
doing really good it's a good average winter day here on the farm but I had
something I wanted to talk to you guys about lately on the internet I've been
reading about this uproar related to Andy the lead singer of mouse rat and
just a minute scarecrow boat is gonna rock it out please be patient while we
rock out the equipment set up you know TVs Burt Macklin
my name is Burt Macklin I'm with the FBI you know Chris Pratt the guy who played
star-lord in that movie and then that other movie and then those other movies
well lots of people out there are getting in an uproar right now about
this article that was written by a woman over at TV Guide it's TV Guide even a
thing anymore the new TV Guide channel coming your way February 1st I thought
the only person who still read TV Guide was that creepy dude on the 7 train I've
never seen a beautiful lady reading the guy anyway this woman Kaitlin something
or other I can't remember her name off the top of my head wrote this whole long
article about how to love Chris Pratt even though he's really problematic or
something to that effect and she has like a whole bunch of reasons why she
has problems with Chris Pratt I'll leave a link down below I can't even remember
them off the top of my head my memory is horrible this morning but regardless the
the the point though that I wanted to highlight is she cites one of the
problematic things about Chris Pratt is the fact that
number one he likes to hunt in number two he has his own farm and he likes to
raise and eat his own meat now given that I am a guy living here in
northern Vermont trying to start my own farm this sort of struck a chord with me
Here I am trying to raise my own food as well as food that I sell to other people
I've got to say I'm really struggling with this idea that you could be
problematic because you raise your own food the article even pulls a quote from
Chris Pratt saying how he tries to raise his lamb so that they have this really
happy life and then just boom one day they're off to the freezer
so essentially espousing the one bad day philosophy which as you guys know I'm a
big believer in if you're gonna eat meat arguably the most ethical way that you
could ever eat meat is to eat meat that you raised yourself to eat meat that you
knew where it came from you know what goes into it and and you know how it was
treated and you know how it was killed I don't know if this Kaitlin
something-or-other is a vegan of some sort and if that was the case I could
maybe see her point of view a little bit better in that you know she doesn't eat
meat herself and so she sees anybody who eats meat as somebody who's worthy of
some moral judgment but if her objection is that he raised these animals and now
she's upset that he's killing these animals for the purpose of food I think
that is downright ridiculous that shows such an incredible disconnect with your
food system and where your food came from and and what it all means you know
the other week I actually went to a party with some friends and it was a
potluck and so to you know contribute to the potluck I ended up taking a couple
of our ducks that we had in the freezer and cooking them and making these
awesome duck tacos I mean they were really awesome and most people were
really excited to eat those duck tacos I think the whole crock pot was empty in
about 45 minutes but there was this one friend that I had who really struggled
with it and said oh I can't eat those and it's not because she doesn't eat me
but it was because you know she's a friend that I've been telling about my
ducks and showing my videos of the Ducks and pictures of the ducks on Instagram
saying yeah look at these things and she saw him when there were little fuzz
balls and then she saw them while they do their wackiness outside and she was
really struggling with this idea of oh my gosh I can't eat those things now
those are I see that these are living things with a connection that I have and
I I can't ever possibly picture killing them for food and that to me blows my
mind because that to me says you're fine with eating meat as long as you don't
know where it came from and as long as you don't feel like you can acknowledge
that at one point it was a living creature you know our society has a
whole host of problems many greater than this issue but people's disconnection
with food and people's disassociation with where their food comes from I feel
like as a root cause for many of our society's problems I know that that's a
little bit of a soapbox I'm standing on but hey it's my point of view I just
call this out for people who are out there eating meat but don't know where
their food comes from and look at a guy like Chris Pratt and they judge them and
say oh my gosh what he's doing and killing those animals and eating those
animals is awful because I got a say looking at the dude from my vantage
point that's pretty much the most ethical way you can eat your food no now
the other thing though that I will call up on this matter is sort of the rage
industry that has popped up as soon as this article came out there's been a
number of articles out there particularly within the homesteading
community but particularly also like on places like Fox News a TV Guide editor
lambasted him as problematic places with a conservative viewpoint saying look at
the liberal media they just don't get how real Americans live Beltway elitists
who haven't discussed for America's heartland and this is an attack on
middle America but there's a middle part of the country that is rejecting this
wholeheartedly bobbity blah blah blabbity blah blah and you see this with
Chris Pratt my heart goes out to him he's just a good red-blooded American I
will say that those reaction pieces are quite overblown too and they even take
this woman's article a bit out of context and I fully realized that I'm
probably contributing to this problem by making this video and piling on top of
it all but I'm raising this issue because I think the only way as a
society that we're ever going to truly progress is if we start asking questions
and challenging view and having discussions about it I feel
like in the last I don't know 20 years or so we've devolved into this mass of
one point of view and another point of view and they just go at it constantly
and I don't think that that's really productive so I really do bet that this
woman has a point of view and I really would like to hear it so as a guy who's
out here raising his own animals and eating his own animals I clearly have a
bias on this topic and so I would fully acknowledge that
but at the same time I want to understand her perspective when you say
that it's problematic for Chris Pratt to eat meat that he's raised why like what
is the issue you know the article if you really parse the words in there it
doesn't get into it so I'd love to know and for all the people out there
watching I'm also curious to hear your point of view what do you think about
the the story from TV Guide what do you think about Chris Pratt what do you
think about how everybody's reacted to this piece I'm very curious I will be
responding to comments and if you want to learn more about Gold Shaw farm and
what we're trying to do here is we try to start a farm in Vermont
be sure to check out one of our other videos or you can subscribe I will see
you guys in that next video and I look forward to hearing what you have to say

Is 'Holmes & Watson' As Funny As It Looks? || Weekend Watch Guide - Duration: 3:39.- So if you want another dynamic (gasp)
Fix it in post.
- Fingers crossed.
- Hi!
- I'm Micheal.
- And I'm John.
- And this is the "Weekend Watch Guide,"
the last "Weekend Watch Guide" of 2018.
The last in 2018.
- OK we get it queen.
So first up, we have "Vice."
The story of Dick Cheney's rise to power
as vice president to George W. Bush.
- I'm actually really intrigued to see this movie,
because it's interesting.
You know, like, back when President Bush was in power,
and everyone's like, "Ah, this is the worst it's gonna be."
And then here we are, like.
- It's still pretty bad.
- Yeah, right.
- Dick Cheney was arguably,
the most powerful vice president we've ever had
in American history, and I think we're gonna see it
in a somewhat comedic, but also dramatic light.
And it stars Christian Bale, who we love.
He's been Superman.
Oh, nope.
He's been Batman.
He was the Dark Knight.
Like this guy is a chameleon,
and he gained 45 pounds just for this role.
- This is a canvas.
- John actually gained 45 pounds today, for this role.
- People are going to be like.
- Where?
- So in this, like, political like satire-esque movie,
it's cool 'cause you have some of these, like,
powerhouse actors playing the part.
So you've got Christian Bale playing Dick Cheney,
Amy Adams paying Lynne Cheney,
Steve Carell playing Donald Rumsfeld,
Sam Rockwell who's playing George Bush,
with the perfect accent might I add.
- All that Bushy goodness.
- All that Bushy goodness.
- And the movie is directed by Adam McKay,
who is famous for "The Big Short" and "Succession."
So then he's actually worked with Christian Bale before
and they are actually a really great pairing together.
- I wonder what the characters being portrayed
in this movie think about the release.
Like, is George Bush, like,
while he's busy painting in his farmhouse, like,
is he pleased or is he upset?
- I mean it's gonna be satirical
in some manner, right?
- It has to be. - That accent alone.
- He makes me want to eat barbecue.
- Mm, I could go for some barbecue.
So for another dynamic duo this weekend,
make sure to check out "Holmes and Watson," in theaters now.
- There's no question, this is comedy!
Sherlock Holmes played by Will Fuh-rell.
- Will Ferrell?
Pharrell is the rapper.
- I've always said Fuh-rell, my whole life.
- Will Ferrell.
- So you have the classic tale
of Holmes and Watson, where you have detective
Sherlock Holmes played by Will Ferrell,
and Dr. John Watson played by John C. Reilly,
who join forces to investigate
a murder at Buckingham Palace.
- Hey, girl.
- Hey, giiirl.
- So this movie is really a funny take
on the story of Sherlock Holmes,
with two goofy guys doing just really bad British accents.
- You have like one of the most iconic duos
in like American comedic history.
Match made in heaven.
It's like Tinder, but before Tinder.
- Or like us, but like not in a romantic way,
in a funny way.
- Yeah, I have standards.
I am single, though.
- Call a girl out.
- 9-1-1 what's your emergency?
You know what, if you're really gonna watch
both this and "Vice,"
this is a really good, like, calm down-er
from the political nature of "Vice."
You're gonna get a lot of slapstick comedy,
a lot of laughs.
- Can we hear you do your best British accent?
- 'Ello mate! No.
'Ello, gov'nuh. Where's Sherlock?
- They don't have a clue.
- Oh, no, golly.
- Oh crikey!
No, that's Australian.
I guess we don't know what we're doing, Michael, do we?
- I suppose we doon't.
- So that's it for today's edition of "Weekend Watch Guide."
- Our last one of the year.
Please join us in 2019 when we start all over again
and review the movies you need to watch every weekend.
Enjoying what you're seeing here?
Make sure to like and follow for more great content.
- Bye!
