Heather Locklear continues to seek treatment after a challenging summer.  As the Melrose Place alum turns 57 on Tuesday, a source tells PEOPLE she remains at the facility she checked into in July to receive long-term treatment for substance abuse and mental health

"She's still there and she's doing really well," the source says.  A source previously told PEOPLE that the actress was scheduled to remain at the facility until September and doctors would reevaluate from there

Locklear was arrested in June for allegedly attacking a police officer and an EMT who had responded to a disturbance call at her residence

Police told PEOPLE that Locklear was allegedly "extremely intoxicated" and "arguing with friends and family" when they arrived

Hours after she was released from police custody, Locklear was hospitalized for a possible overdose

Locklear has slowly returned to social media in recent weeks, posting a handful of photos and videos of her dog

Last week, she penned a heartfelt tribute after losing a friend to addiction.  "Addiction is ferocious and will try to take you down," reads the note

"Recovery is the best revenge. Be kind to everyone you meet, your light just might change their path

Rest in peace beautiful Josh. You touched my [heart]."  In July, Locklear's ex-husband Richie Sambora voiced his support for the actress, with whom he shares daughter Ava, 20

(Locklear and Sambora married in 1994; their divorce was finalized in 2007.)  "I will of course always be there for Heather and especially Ava," the 59-year-old Bon Jovi guitarist told the Daily Mail

"I am very proud of my daughter for her composure and strength during this difficult time

Healthbreak: New Radiation Treatment Option for Prostate Cancer, Adam Smith, MD - Duration: 1:01.

- [Announcer] HealthBreak is brought to you by

Tower Health.

Advancing health.

Transforming lives.

- Treating prostate cancer with radiation

has always been difficult

because the prostate is so close to the bladder and rectum,

which can be damaged by the radiation.

Dr. Adam Smith explains how Reading Hospital

is overcoming this challenge with a new gel.

- We inject this gel between the prostate and the rectum,

and you can think of it like blowing up a balloon,

so it creates a space where there wasn't one.

It decreases side effects

and we know that it does this significantly,

and then the body reabsorbs it naturally.

Offering new treatments here that have been proven

to improve quality of life and improve outcomes.

So this is a way to improve the quality of life

of hundreds of patients a year.

It truly is exciting.

We need tools to improve fascia treatment - Jarmo Ahonen - Duration: 3:10.

Many times people have been working with manual work so long so I think that "I need to

have my hands to get results" and at the same time they say "I get so tired with

my hands so how can I continue like this?"

So they if they have a good feel of the hand they get a lot of help with the machine because

they know how to use it and where to put it.

Anybody who has been looking into the fascia therapy knows that's the future we can't forget that

anymore, so we just need to have more and more equipment, more and more tools how to

treat the fascia tissue and if you don't have that, then you just stay stuck in with whatever

you have in the past.

Everything is developing so you need to be developing with it.

I think that people are trying to figure out that everything that we do needs to be scientifically

proven, but they forget that there's a lot of things that have been scientifically proven

before, like the Pacini receptors and how they react on vibration and oscillating movement.

So if it's not done with this certain machine it's still an effect which is existing so

it doesn't really matter what kind of makes equipment, you use you can use the hands to

create the oscillating movement or you can use the machine, the science is

still there, so you don't need to do the the same scientific proof again and again and again.

In general my clients are pretty happy about the treatment because they feel the release

of the pain and the treatment itself is not too painful.

An example are the dancers, because they get very tight hip muscles often, so you use it

once and they go "oh this is great" they call next time "can I come and you drill

my hip again?" because they feel the difference immediately.

Well, it's a wide range of problems, anything that has to do with areas where you have a

lot of tension on the tendons or ligaments or any fascia structure which is too tight.

So it can be any any part of the body.

I just learned from Hans that is good for the frozen shoulder, we tried that for a few

people and it seems to be working well.

Also deep work on the abdominal it goes to the iliopsoas, anything.

We try to make people to understand that these things are a reality already, we already know

that they work, with just that different things help us to accomplish new things that we try to do.

Sell your car and buy the machine!

I know my field, my people in physiotherapy, they're pretty cautious about new things so

you show it to somebody and "aah it cannot be so good" I know why don't you try and

when I make them try it "oh this is something new, this feels good" and they feel the release.

So yeah I think you need to try it before you trust it and many times people take a

stand before they try it and that's not good.

Tax Treatment of Mixed-Use Properties - Duration: 3:00.

When looking to use rental properties as a source of passive income, you'll want to

be clear on what differentiates a mixed-use property from a 100%

rental property. In this video, we focus on mixed-use properties and some issues

to watch out for if you're thinking of renting out this type of property.

A property is considered as a mixed-use property when it's used for both

personal and rental purposes. Vacation homes are a great example of mixed use

properties. A property qualifies as a 100% rental only if it isn't

used at all by the owner for personal use during the course of the entire tax year.

Mixed-use properties don't qualify for the $25,000 special loss allowance

afforded to 100% rental properties. Instead, net rental losses are carried

forward to offset future passive income. It's critical that you be a great

note-taker if you're using your property as a mixed-use property.

As the owner, it's your responsibility to keep careful track of

which days you're using that property for personal use and which days you're

renting it out. A calendar dedicated to this express purpose is helpful.

If you personally use what you're declaring as a mixed-use property for

the greater of more than 14 days or 10% of rental days during the tax year and

you've rented the property out for less than 15 days, your mixed-use property may

be disqualified as a rental property and will instead be treated as a personal residence.

In this case, none of the rental income or expenses should be

reported for the rental period on your tax return. Keep in mind that days in

which you allow family or friends to use your property either for free or at a

deeply discounted rate count as personal use days.

Here's an example. An owner recently rented out

his primary residence for a few days to be used in a movie.

As he rented the house to the film crew for less than 15 days and used it

personally for more than 14 days, the rental income is not reportable and

neither are any expenses associated with the time it was being rented.

If personal use remains under these limits and the property was indeed rented or held out

for rent, then it can be treated as a mixed-use property.

The expenses are then prorated between personal and rental use

and the rental income should be reported in full.

If you have questions about mixed use rental properties and taxation,

please contact your Untracht Early advisor.
