While touring the English county from which they derive their Royal titles, the couple will visit Survivors' Network, a charity which supports survivors of rape and sexual assault

According to its website, the charity "offers a range of professional relevant services to survivors of any gender aged 14+ who have experienced any form of sexual violence"

Meghan is a proud advocate for women's rights, and has been vocal about her feminist beliefs in the past

The Duchess' webpage quotes the actress speaking at the UN on International Women's Day 2015, when she said: "I am proud to be a woman and a feminist

" The Duchess of Sussex became the UN Women's Advocate for Women's Political Participation and Leadership in 2015

During her first appearance with the Royal Foundation in February, Meghan praised both the #MeToo and Time's Up movements and encouraged women to be empowered and to speak up

She said: "I think right now in the climate that we're seeing so many campaigns, I mean, Me Too and Time's Up, there is no better time to continue to shine a light on women feeling empowered and people really having to support them

"Men are included in that. "It makes such a tremendous difference." The announcement of the visit comes at a time of particular attention to the issue of sexual assault, and only a couple of days after Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh faced accusations of sexual misconduct

Doctor Christine Blasey Ford is one of three women who have come forward and accused Mr Kavanaugh of sexual assault and harassment

The visit to the Survivors' Network charity is one of many engagements in the couple's schedule for the October 3 trip

They will also head to the coastal town of Peacehaven and meet young people at the JOFF Youth Centre to hear their strategic plans and priorities around mental health and emotional wellbeing

They will travel to Bognor Regis, home of Butlins holiday camp, to officially open the University of Chichester's Engineering and Digital Technology Park

The couple will finally visit Edes House in Chichester, West Sussex, to see the rare Sussex copy of the American Declaration of Independence
