Mom in Texas get Incredible Smile Makeover from Brighter Image Lab! MUST SEE! - Duration: 9:53.

hi my name is Kristy Ploysel I'm thirty-five and the mother of two teenagers and I

live in Texas I'm doing this video to answer some questions people have about

press-on veneers I have mine in right now but I will take them out during the

video and explain to you some stuff about them

okay these are my veneers and we have the top part I do want the bottom

ones I'm working on that and okay I'm going to take them out I can't believe

I'm doing this because I don't like seeing my own teeth this is why I

got them I've had bad teeth my whole life and some of that's genetic and some of

it's just from a calcium deficiency you can also see if you look I'm missing

some teeth it's from bad decisions okay and they're not white the bottom ones are

not that bad but my top ones and I have a 16 year old daughter and she would tell me

mom your teeth they're not white they're yellow don't smile so much I think that

was the breaking point for me I wanted to make her proud of me and I wanted to

do things in life that I haven't done yet because my teeth and my smile were

holding me back and a friend of mine at work had the veneers and I thought they

were dentures at first and when I asked him he said no Google press-on

veneers he'd had them for like five years so I googled them and I did what

you're doing now I watched videos the videos don't always answer a lot of the

questions and in this one I'm going to okay

I spent a little over $1,000 for mine but I'm impatient they were posed to be

like supposed to be $790 I believe and I opted for the fast delivery so instead of waiting two

to three weeks I got mine in seven days okay I called the service thing and

asked some questions at first when she was explaining to me that it's

non-refundable once they start your veneers because that's really what

you're paying for you're paying for the craftsmanship you're paying for their

labor and once they start your veneers it's non-refundable and in my mind I was

thinking that's a lot of money and I'm not rich

this is why I haven't gone to the dentist right this is why I don't get a

them removed and have dentures because I'm not rich so spending that kind of money

on an online product was nerve-racking the next morning I woke up I called back I

spoke to the same lady she was there late at night and there in the morning

they have operators all night long and I told her take my credit card

information before I change my mind so I place the order and there's three

choices of colors when you get your indention kit you'll see that so she

took my money she sent me an indention kit in the mail within three days and

it's like a mouth guard that you put in your mouth with play-doh okay and you

hold it up on your teeth let it harden for about a minute

put it back in the self or prepaid envelope that they give you and you send

it back like I said I opted for the fast delivery because I'm impatient I wanted

mine quick so once they got mine at the lab they started right away and I had

them back to me within seven business days they come in the mail in a package and

I was really excited okay when you first get them you'll put them out of the

package they'll look like this okay you can see these the coverage goes all the way

around the back and all the way around the bottom

not just front coverage and it'll tell you to put them in hot water and I did

that so that makes them a little more pliable to your teeth and when you first

put them on you put them over your teeth and push them in and when you first get

them they're going to be a little tight okay you'll feel a little pressure on

your teeth but your teeth adjust took about two days for my teeth to address

okay they're in there good I can't yank on them and just pull them

out I actually have to pop them out usually I use my tongue on the back and

pop them out they cover all the way to the back okay the cover the whole gum line

they match your teeth perfectly they are made to fit your own teeth the thing I

like about these is they're sturdy everybody wants to know can you eat with

them I've never seen anyone on these videos eat so I'm going to answer your

question yes you can this is a crunchy taquito

see how country that is there's no "moverage" on them they stay in place

they don't go anywhere

perfect

a popsicle if you've ever seen these you know how hard they are no problem whatsoever

I eat with mine all the time now when you first get yours you can't eat

with them you have to let your teeth adjust I would take mine out during

meals and I worked my way into eating with them I would eat soft foods like

bread and stuff because I wasn't sure if you could eat with them but now I eat

everything I mean sometimes I'll take them out if I

want to eat like a well done steak or if I want to I guess chew on a jawbreaker or

something I'll take them out but when I'm at work I work at a busy restaurant I don't

have time to take my teeth out just to grab something small to eat so I eat

with them I don't take them out at restaurants when I go out I don't take

them out at home when I eat I do take them out at night it does say don't sleep in

them give your teeth rest I take them out at night I brush them when you take

them out at night when you brush your own teeth floss and stuff after you're done with

that brush your veneers your toothbrush fits nicely inside okay I'll run them under

hot water I'll brush them sometimes I'll even dip

them in Listerine just for the germ killing because your mouth is full of germs okay

and then I lay them either in the little gray case it comes with it's like a

retainer case or I'll put them on a shelf in my bathroom and I'll put them back in

the morning brush my teeth rinse them sometimes I dip them in hot water if

they're a little dry because you know it goes right up against your own teeth so

dip them in some hot water every morning shake them off really good because you don't

want that water behind there especially if your teeth are sensitive and put them

back in see nice and pretty I love my teeth

before I got them I was shy I didn't smile I took a lot of pictures but I

never smiled it was just that was my smile now I smile every day when I'm

talking when I take pictures I smile and I

was a server at Denny's it's a multi-million dollar restaurant for

three years and I never took that step to get that promotion that I wanted I

was good enough to be boss I just I wasn't confident enough when I got my

teeth I started the process I started working towards my goals and now I'm a

restaurant manager I'm moving to a different location where I'm going to

run help run my own store and it's all because snap-on veneers gave me that

confidence so if you're a little iffy and you don't know if you want them take

it from me it was well worth it I don't regret spending the money at all at all

I mean I would regret buying a movie online more than I would regret buying

these teeth they are well worth it my kid doesn't ever tell me not to smile

around her friends again like they're proud of me and I'm proud of myself

a smile can make the difference it can really boost your esteem and get you

where you want to go because the first impression people notice about you when

they meet you is your smile well I hope this video helped and if you have any

questions just ask them here or hit me up on Facebook

Welcome to Real Estate Talk. I'm Jill

Wente, a realtor with Better Homes and

Gardens Gary Greene specializing in the

Spring Texas real estate market. On

today's episode of real estate talk the

topic is earnest money. What is it? How

much is it? and When does it get provided?

so first off .. What is it?

Earnest money is the money that the

seller that he's serious about

purchasing the property. How much is it?

Earnest money is a negotiated term and the

rates vary based upon different parts of

the country. In our area specifically

Spring Texas, earnest money is typically

one percent of the sales price. When does

it get provided? Contractually the

earnest money has to be provided to the

title company within three days of the

contract execution date. so there you

have it

what? how much? and when? Thanks for tuning

Austin: Migas Tacos | Tacos of Texas Ep. 1 - Duration: 8:25.

- Taco tip number 118: don't throw your chips away.

- Put them in your migas way.

(chips crunch)

(Spanish style music)

I'm Mando Rayo.

- And I'm Jarod Neece.

- And we're taco journalists exploring

the iconic tacos of Texas.

- [Jarod] Today we're in Austin, Texas.

Live music capital of the world and our hometown.

- We're here for the migas,

Austin's most important taco of the day.

(chants) We're here for the migas, here for the migas!

- [Mando] We're here at El Mundo de Mando

in East Austin AKA my house.

- [Jarod] Do you guys like migas tacos?

- Yeah!

- [Mando] What makes tacos different in Texas

is that, you know, Texas is a mix of different cultures.

You know, for us it's about community,

it's about building trust with communities

and forming relationships and honoring people,

where they come from.

And it's about bringing kind of all these different people

with different experiences and us coming together

and growing together and eating together.

(Mando laughs)

- You know, Mando was writing for The Austinist

and I said to him, "What are you doing over there

"writing for these guys?" and I was like,

"Come to taco journalism, we need some street cred!"

(singing in Spanish)

He liked what we were doing. - [Mando] Stuck.

- [Jarod] You know, all of us were Texans

and you know, starting taco journalism was all about,

you know, getting people to go into these taco restaurants

or trailers that maybe they were not feeling welcome

or afraid to go into or just hesitant

and bridging these two divides of, you know,

taco lovers and the people making them

and making sure that everybody,

you know, we can all just get along.

(Mando laughs)

Break some bread, break some tortillas.

- [Mando] Break some tortillas.

- In our book, we traveled to 10 cities

and that's just only 10 cities in Texas.

We only traveled like 7000 miles.

We have like, I don't know how much square footage

there is in Texas but it's a big--

(Jarod laughs)

It's a big state.

- I think they do it in square miles.

(both laugh)

That was a blast from the taco past, man.

Let's take these guys to Joe's Bakery

and show them how to really make tacos.

(mariachi band plays)

- [Mando] Joe's: where every Mexican knows your name.

(restaurant patrons talking)

Jose, Jose!

- So Austin gets hated on a little bit

because we get told that we're the,

we have the white breakfast tacos.

And I would challenge anybody

that feeds that line or feeds that beast

to come to East Austin and come to Joe's.

Have yourself a migas breakfast taco

with re-fried beans con todo,

and it'll settle that argument pretty quick.

- So are migas kinda your go-to taco?

Is it a thing you eat a lot? - [Jose] Yeah, man.

So usually flour, migas, migas con todo and beans, man.

Beans on it, the re-fried beans, you gotta have 'em.

- Yeah, well, re-fried beans are the Mexican mayonnaise.

- They are the Mexican mayonnaise.

(Mando laughs)

- [Jarod] What makes a good breakfast taco?

- [Jose] Oh, man, the beans, the beans are the must.

Eggs and then like, if we're talking about migas,

then it definitely is the tostadas,

you gotta be crispy, man. - [Jarod] Right.

- [Jose] The egg has to be fresh

'cause you go some places, they, man, not knocking anybody,

but there are places and you get 'em on those warmers.

You do not respect yourself

if you're eating off one of those things.

Come get your fresh taco. - [Mando] Yeah.

- So Jose, you rep East Austin pretty hard.

What is East Austin, how did it become East Austin?

- [Jose] So in 1929, Latinos and African Americans

traditionally lived downtown,

and they were moved, relocated east of 35.

People consider Congress to be the divider of Austin,

but locals know I-35 is the great wall

of Austin that divides.

And I mean, you can see it socio-economically, man.

Up and down 35, you can see the disparities.

- [Mando] Also tell me a little bit

about the changes in East Austin.

- Seeing people that didn't wanna leave having to leave

because of property taxes and whatnot.

Seeing businesses that couldn't stay open

and couldn't compete anymore.

Something somebody told me a long time ago is

"Nostalgia didn't keep the lights on."

So if you love a restaurant,

then go there and spend your money.

Don't go to the IHOPs, don't go to the Denny's,

go to the mom-and-pops and spend your money.

- [Mando] There's new places coming up.

How do you see that?

- [Jose] It's all about collaboration, man,

and my mama always told me,

"If you don't speak to your neighbor,

"then you're never gonna know your neighbor's problems

"or the problems that you share."

And so, reaching out to these folks

and sitting down and chatting

'cause, I mean, at the end of the day, man,

we aren't all that different.

- [Mando] It's great to hear what Jose's doing,

to reach the old and the new.

On to taco numero dos.

(mariachi band plays)

- We're here at Veracruz All Natural

at their newest brick and mortar.

- We're here to eat the best migas in Texas.

- Let's go.

- Let's go!

(both laugh)

(mariachi music)

(mariachi band plays)

- [Mando] You can find migas anywhere in Austin.

They're an affordable meal for this young city

that's always on the go.

Just like migas, these taco makers are resourceful

and create deliciousness.

- Well, it was really cool

to show everyone our taco journalism history

and where the tacos have taken us, man.

- But also about, you know, what we can do

as supporters of these mom-and-pop shops.

For me, it always goes back to the people.

Like for us, the taco is kind of that entry point,

but it's about the people and the recipes

and those traditions and that's pretty much

what makes us taco journalists.

So thanks for tuning in.

- [Jarod] Tacos never die.

- [Mando] Tacos never die.

(mariachi band plays)

- [Jarod] You know, Porfirio's.

- [Mando] Mm-hm. - [Jarod] Or...

- [Mando] Joe's Bakery.

- [Jarod] Or Rosita's Al Pastor.

- [Mando] Habanero's.

- [Jarod] Piedras Negras.

- [Mando] Taqueria Chapala.

- [Jarod] Taqueria Los, Los Altos?

- [Mando] Uh-huh.

- [Jarod] Los Jaliscienses.

- [Mando] Los Jaliscienses. La Michoacana.

- [Jarod] All the Michoacanas.

- [Mando] All the Michoacana.

And Borrego De Oro.

- [Jarod] Taco La Flor on south-first.

- [Mando] Valentina's.

- [Jarod] All the Arandas.

(mariachi music)

- [Mando] In the next Proximo Show!

- [Jarod] We'll explore Houston

and their taco trucks on every corner.

- [Mando] And talk to DREAMers

on how they define the meaning of home.

- [Jarod] And see how Houston throws down

on tacos al pastor.

(Spanish style music)
