Um, you want to start off first with your name? Do I say hi? I'm Heather Garcia, I'm
the church moderator at the Roslindale Congregational Church, UCC. My name is
Alia Hamada Forrest, I am the Director of Roslindale Village Main Street. Hi, my
name is Jason Donnelly, I'm the Pastor at Roslindale Congregational Church, UCC. We're
really excited that we've partnered with Roslindale Village Main Street's.
Roslindale is a small corner in the larger city of Boston. We're really excited
about the opportunity to fund an accessibility project in Roslindale
Village! So this project that we're involved in is specifically to make the
Church more handicap accessible. We're trying to get funding so that we can
build a lift a ramp and a handicapped accessible bathroom. We've been here for
about 125 years. Its historic like a lot of the buildings in Roslindale, which
also means that it wasn't built for folks on wheels.
Whether that's parents with strollers or people who just need extra help. We're
trying to get the word out and need everyone's help to vote every day to
make this dream come true for us, so that everybody, no matter what their physical
ability is, can make it into our building. Once we do this, we'll be able to use the
sanctuary space, the building itself, and it will be
welcome for everybody.
