Hello hunters and welcome to the half-assed guide to the charge blade, or how they say in France le sharge blade,

or in Spanish las chargados espadados.

I studied these languages by watching questionable animes so I know how to spell them.

I will use Xbox controller commands since I'm on PC.

Charge blade has two main modes: sword and shield mode (SnS) and axe mode

You switch from SnS to Axe by pressing RT + Y and you change back to SnS by pressing RT.

You can draw into axe mode by pressing RT with your weapon sheathed.

Dodging to the sides after any attack while in SnS mode will make you do a quick sidestep instead of a normal roll.

The main purpose of SnS mode is to charge phials that will be used while in axe mode.

Every SnS attack charges the sword by different amounts with Y and B + Y attacks charging little and the B attacks charging the most.

Blocking also charges the sword by a little amount.

While in SnS mode B + Y is a dashing slash which is the same as your draw attack.

Y + Y + Y = two weak slashes followed by a circular strong slash that deals decent damage.

If you press Y after a sidestep, you'll do the strong slash.

If you press Y after a roll, you'll do the second weak slash of the combo.

You'll likely almost never use the whole Y Y Y combo. However, the last strong slash is very useful and you'll see why later on.

Pressing B will do a weak slash.

However, if you keep B pressed until you see a little glow from your sword, you will do a strong double attack.

This attack charges your sword the most. If you keep it pressed too much you'll overcharge and it'll do a weak slash.

Pressing B + Y after any SnS attack will do a shield thrust, an attack that has innate Mind's Eye (aka you don't bounce).

Press B + Y again after the shield thrust and you'll do what is called an AED in Axe mode

and then automatically revert back to SnS mode.

How do we charge phials efficiently?

Well your main SnS combo to do it will be a charged B followed by Y or B+Y

then rinse and repeat until the phials outline on the top-left corner of your screen becomes red.

If you overcharge your sword, shown by the red phials outline flashing, your sword attacks will bounce no matter what your sharpness is or

where you hit. Once the outline is yellow or red

which you can also see by the color on your sword, press RT + B to load your shield with phials.

If you stop to yellow you'll only load 3 phials while red will load 5 phials or 6 with the Capacity Boost skill.

If you try to load phials without yellow or red you'll do a longer charge animation that is useless and will hold you in place.

Now that you have phials loaded you want to empower your shield and boost the damage of your Axe mode.

How to do this?

While in Axe mode, press B + Y and then press RT while you're starting the animation.

You'll cancel the attack and all your phials will fade away. Goodbye the end.

Just kidding. You've just empowered your shield

The shield will glow red signifying the buffed status and will stay red for 30 seconds for each phial consumed to charge it.

Now the name charge blade starts making sense uh?

The small shield icon will start flashing if you're on the last 30 seconds of the buff

so charge more phials before the timer ends. Or you'll regret it.

Deeply.

While your shield is red your Axe attacks are more powerful and your shield blocking capability is stronger,

which means less stamina consumed on successful blocks and less damage taken, and it stacks with guard skills too.

Your shield thrust will now also release a phial burst without consuming any phial.

Question: do I want to keep phials loaded even if the shield is already red?

Answer: yes, cause you're gonna need them during Axe mode.

Now for the grown-ups axe combos.

Normal Y attacks while in Axe mode are almost useless, so I'll skip them.

B attacks gain Mind's Eye skill if you have Phials loaded, which means your weapon won't bounce if you hit a hard part.

Demonstration without phials loaded.

B attacks consume one or more phials and generate one or more phial bursts on successful hits.

The B B B combo of your Axe mode does the following:

one weak slash that consumes one phial for one burst,

followed by a strong double slash that consumes one phial for two bursts, and then the final attack which is gonna be explained later.

Suspense.

If you press B while loading phials while in SnS mode

you'll automatically switch to axe mode and do the first B slash of the combo.

If your charge blade has impact phials the phial bursts will do fixed damage no matter where you hit and also apply stun if you

hit the head of the (!) ...

...monster, eventually leading to a KO if enough stun is applied.

If your charge blade has elemental phials

the bursts will be elemental and the damage will vary based on monster and hitzone weaknesses

and they will not apply stun if you hit the head.

Now for the final attack.

While your shield is red, if you do the last B attack of the B + B + B combo...

...or if you press B + Y in idle or after any of the axe attacks

you'll do a Super AED, or SAED for short, which is the most powerful attack of the charge blade.

This attack hits twice with the Axe: a weak sweep and a strong slam and then

discharges all of your loaded phials on the ground in a cone in front of the axe, for a burst of damage based on the

number of phials used.

Impact phials will be unloaded immediately, elemental ones have a bit of delay because fuck element in this game. (but they're so cool)

Oh, and phial bursts cannot crit, so the crit element skill and any affinity you have do nothing for phial bursts damage.

After an SAED you'll revert back to SnS mode.

The only way to increase impact phials damage is to increase your attack damage.

Likewise to increase elemental phials damage, you'll want to increase the element of the weapon.

Doing an SAED with all phials loaded will almost always stagger whatever monster you're hitting since the damage is really high.

At the end of an SAED you'll be locked in the animation for a fairly long time in monster hunter terms,

so be careful on when you use it.

This attack has a wide range and can send your teammates flying very easily.

A better way to get to the SAED is the next one:

while in SnS mode, after any attack

press B + Y and then B + Y again to do a shield thrust into an SAED.

And finally the best and fastest way to get to an SAED:

after blocking an attack while in SnS mode, press B + Y and there you have it.

At the start of an SAED you can press Y + the opposite direction

your character is facing on the left analog stick to do a normal AED instead.

This normal AED attack is faster than the SAED, consumes only one phial, and generates 3 bursts,

but also does less damage so you can use it if you don't have time for a super AED

You'll make an AED (weaker) if you try to do an SAED without red shield!

I know this probably could have been explained in reverse, but remember that you always want to have a red shield so deal with it. Hi!

You can also cancel the SAED into an SnS strong slash (read shield charge) by pressing RT at the start of the animation.

This will charge all of your loaded phials into the shield, like you did to get the shield red and prolong the red shield buff

duration.

Many tears are shed every day by hunters forced to cancel an SAED into the SnS slash because they mistimed it.

This concludes the guide oh wait, there's the whole sword charge and guard points section.

So let's say your shield is red

but you feel like now your SnS mode is weak AF because the damage is all in the axe mode.

Well fear not my friend.

I'm not your friend.

While you're loading phials into your shield, press Y and keep it pressed until you see the shield tightening on your sword, then release it.

If you did something wrong and you released too early or too late you'll do an upward slash.

If everything went correctly you'll do an attack where you slam your sword on the ground. (clip sped up slightly)

Congratulations, your sword is also empowered now, has tiny cute lightnings sparkling around it, and has gained the Mind's Eye effect for free,

which means you'll never bounce with it no matter where you hit even if your sword is overcharged.

But you'll still consume more sharpness if you hit a zone where you'd normally bounce off from.

Also, every sword attack will now unleash a small phial burst without consuming any phial.

This means you can apply stun while in SnS mode if you hit the head.

This buff lasts for about 30 seconds. You can only apply this buff if your shield is red. (As you can see the buff was not applied because of white shield here)

This also works even if you don't have phials to load during the loading animation, but it will take a slightly longer time.

During the last 10/15 seconds of the buff duration

your sword icon will start flashing (upper left corner of the screen), but don't worry:

having a charged (/empowered) sword is not as vital as having a red shield. It's just a really handy buff.

The sword gets charged even if you're interrupted before you slam the sword down. The important part is the tightening.

I honestly didn't know what other word to use.

Tightening.

And now the best part about charge blade: the guard points.

Guard points are frames during some attack animations where your hunter put the shield in front of them.

If a monster hits you during these frames, you'll automatically block and go into normal guard stance.

Guard points also have innate guard +1 so it's always better to do a guard point when you can.

So where are these guardpoints frames exactly?

1: When you switch from SnS axe mode, at the beginning of the animation.

2: When you switch from Axe to SnS mode, at the end of the animation.

3: When you do the SNS circular slash at the end of the animation basically like 2.

4: After canceling your AED or SAED into a shield charge, at the end of the animation, basically like 2 again.

5: After any SnS attack if you press B plus a direction on the left stick, you'll do a spinning slash that lets you reposition.

The guard point is at the end of the spinning slash animation, basically like okay it's getting old.

There are many things you can do immediately after a normal guard or a guard point (if you don't get knocked back too much)

1: Keep guarding with RT.

You pussy (just kidding unless you're a cat IRL).

2: Sidestep left or right or roll forward or backwards with A + directional input.

3: If you press B + Y you'll do an SAED, or AED without red shield

but no red shield is really bad as we learnt today.

You can cancel this SAED into an AED or a shield charge like any normal SAED.

4: Look yourself in the mirror and wonder if maining a CB was the right choice after all... :(

5: Press Y to go into Axe mode and do the forward slam.

What all of this means is that if you learn how to use guardpoints properly you can basically keep attacking the monster by chaining

attacks and guardpoints into each other to keep the assault going without downtime.

Final notes:

Focus is a really handy skill for charge blade since you can charge phials faster with it.

Bludgeoner is a skill that

synergize pretty well with Diablos CB if you don't want to invest in Handicraft since Diablos CB has short blue and big green

sharpness.

Bludgeoner basically increases your raw damage when the weapon is in green or lower sharpness.

At green it increases your CB damage by 54 (or 15 true raw).

This is like having attack boost at 5.

Yes, you lose the 1.2 sharpness modifier, but that is not calculated in the phial burst damage.

So it's up to you if you want to use it or not

About weapon augments:

Life augment is really good on CB since the huge attacks heal for a lot of HP (that's a lotta damage!).

Attack augments directly increase the damage of impact phials.

Affinity augments are good,

honestly the difference between augmenting for one or the other (attack) is not much you can even augment for a slot if you want.

Defense augments are useless as per usual.

I won't make a list of what the best CB's for every element or against every monster are since you can just google for them

and you'll easily find a good amount of answers.

Or just use Diablos Tyrannis II and wreck every monster that dares to traverse your path.

Last tip: if you're not thinking of speedrunning or if you mostly play solo or if you play with a group of close friends

just craft whatever CB you like the most aesthetically, no need to worry about a few minutes shaved here and there during a run.

But if you plan on playing online with unknown people

please at least out of respect for their time use the most appropriate CB for the monster. If you're in doubt

just go for Diablos Tyrannis and you're gold > :)

Hi, I'm Lucy Dunn, and this is my Grown-Up's Guide to Make-Up. A guide for those

who've outgrown their old makeup routine and need some honest advice on

what works and what doesn't. So, this week, I'm taking you through my guide to eyebrows.

So, if you were born, you know, whenever you were born. Quite a long time

ago, in my case, there was a fashion to pluck

them. I used to spend hour, – lovely, love it – on a Sunday just pluck, pluck, pluck,

to really, really thin lines, and Frankie has told me that they'll never grow

back. So. That's it. It's also the fact that when you get older, you start... your

eyebrows start thinning and just getting a little bit more sparse.

Hey-ho, but there is one thing about eyebrows and I've... and, recently I've just

had this epiphany. They do actually really frame your face and they are

important. I'd never used to, sort of, pay much attention to them, just thought

they were lost calls, but now I go to an eyebrow place, Benefit, and I've just put

myself in their... their hands, and they tint my eyebrows and they wax them, and I

think it's just one of those things that is a brilliant investment, to be honest,

and just giving... giving it.... giving it up to... I'm waffling now, but anyway. Eyebrows.

Get your eyebrows done. So, god, there's all sorts of things you can do and

there's so many products for eyebrows. I'm just going to talk about two things.

So, there's pencils and a sort of gel. So, I instantly plump for a pencil, and I'll

show you why I think that pencils may not be the right thing for me. So, I'll

put it on and this pencil is really good because it

it goes on and it's it doesn't veer off and it fills in the sort of, like, gaps.

I've got so many gaps my eyebrows. I'm putting a lot on here, probably wouldn't

do this. There we are! So, that is a pencil. Then I'm gonna do the other brow with

this mascara stuff. Mascara gel. It's from Benefit. When I first used this I was like,

"Oh, god, it's gloopy innit? I'm not gonna be able to control it as much as a pencil,"

but I'll show you why I think this is better in a minute. So, I'm just combing

it through and just have to be quite quite light-fingered with it, not so

heavy-handed. So, just... I'm quite patient with it, which is difficult, I know, and

basically what's happened, the gel coats the... it coats the hairs but it doesn't

coat your skin, but although it's a darker co... ignore that it is a darker colour,

it... it actually colours the skin as well, so, you get that sort of, like, if you're

not super, super accurate with it, it can get that sort of orange... orange sort of

line and it starts looking fake. So, I go for a gel, although it's a little harder

to apply, it's got a more natural look and it coats the hairs and only the

hairs and not the skin. So, I'm just taking this pencil off cuz, um,

I'm putting the gel on the other one because I don't want wonky eyebrows. But

I think, yeah, the pencil was, er... is more of an Instagram brow.

It was almost perfect from the beginning

When I met her I cried because I knew how sweet she was.

She's a mood lifter. She's a companion. She's a friend.

She's a safety. I can't even separate us anymore

Like it's almost like if she wasn't there, I'd lose my left arm

She's so integral to what I do, how I feel, where I go, who I meet

She rarely frustrates me. I mean, she's just such a good dog.

I really can't imagine my life without her right now

Jazzy, is always wagging her tail. She's never in a bad mood

And she loves her cat sister

It's just a sort of a funny relationship with them

she loves to work and I love the fact that she wants to get in harness every day

And that she's not bored by my routine

I called her almost perfect because she she can't be perfect

But she's pretty close

Hello everyone, i m Neviz and i m a berzerker on the Pve server on Tera Ps4

and like it is writed in the tittle of the video i will try to teach the best that i can

so you can optimize your berserker cause i saw it guys we have nearly zero guide for console player

Well, a lot of informations so don't hesitate to pause it

i will put on the description the differents timers for the differents sections so you can freely go wherever it interess you

and for the most curious and courageous who will see all the video i welcome you in my company

First, we will talk about the class

of the berserker itself

don t worry i will be fast

no lol im joking

Well we are dps of burst type but consistent

so we will have a lot of Damage but in regularly interval

so its very hard to optimize cause a lot of factor are in contributions

but you saw it in the introduction that it is worth it

So let's begin firstly with the stuff

so the weapon

so i will not turn arout the pots

the optimized stuff is the Vm8

actually even if we do some damage with a guile set

for that the rolls on the gear will change your life

For the weapon we will have the double line of 9.3% damage on enraged monster

you can put in one in the first line and one in one of the other lines

after we will take the 6.9% damage when atacking form behind

cause will be our postion all time

and again the damage line with the 6% damage on monster for the 4th line

if you have the Vm8 you can have a 5th line so u will want the 0.3 crit power

and not the crit factor cause we will have the cap crit with others ways and even the 0.3 crit power is too huge on a zerk

now that we have the rolls on our weapon

we will search the 3% Masterwork

only if we are with vm8 cause with guile set would not be worth it and too much costly in spellbind

but Neviz what s the Mw3% ? i assure you it s not a call of duty lol

it s a modification effectued on your attack modifier here on green whenever you use an enigmatic scroll for changing your rolls.

where it change from 1 to 3% each time randomly

and will give a significant change on your damage at 3% so block your roll when you have all good and go take your mw3%

yes will be costly sir lol but still go for it

here for a charismax the 3% is +7465 at +15 but still you can check your mw with the link i writed in the description

now for the chest and the rest the mw is not necessary and will only give extra defense but if you wanna have a 5 to 7% more tankyness it s your choice

still if you have a lot of spellbind cause you are rich don t hesitate =)

btw for the heal i think it can be good to notify

for the weapon roll we will search for the first line the Increases damage of Thunder Strike by 8%.

Thunder Strike is your highest contributing DPS skill and usually counts for 55-60% of your total DPS cause the animation is the fastest and the skill you will spam the most in your rotation

So we go after for the Decreases damage taken from frontal attacks by 6.9%. Decreases damage from enraged monsters by 10%. Raises max HP by 8%

cause our skill cost HP and so a little more of Hp will help us even more if we go slaying

if vm8 you can go for the Decreases damage taken by 6% for again more damage reduction

now the gloves will be fast cause every dps need to have the crit factor, power and attack speed rolls

for the boots, that 's the same every dps need to have endurance, movement speed and regen mana rolls cause yeah you will burn some mana

for the innerwear you need the crit 20 but if you can t cause don t have enough money try to have the best possible cause if not you will not have your crit cap

and so you will need to sacrifice something to get it and that's not cool!

for the etchings keen III for the gloves and weapon and grounded III for the chest and boots

a lot of informations right? i said it previously don't hesitate to pause the video if you need it =) cause now we will really enter the hardcore way of the zerk on tera console

we will now talk about the cap crit of the zerk

well at first what s a cap crit on Tera?

The cap crit is a zone of comfort for your character where he will crit aproximatly at 80% chance or higher in every primary spells and where the ratio of 2 crit factor for 1 power is at the limit.

the cap crit for the zerk on console is 58+347 crit factor or 405 total

just so we have 85% crit on thunderstrike/cyclone, and 80% crit on evasive strike

on the HM boss with a crit resist of 180 so atm every hm

and with the passive skill of thunderstrike with this cap crit if one thunder doesn t crit the 2nd one will be 100%

after the cap will change but our gear and jewels too so don t worry we will still have some way to compensate it

you can check what i say with tera crit calculator on a boss with 180 crit resit with the link below in the description

this cap crit is available with a mystic run and with perfect rolls and the jewels and etching 3

but we can still have it or atleast the most nearest possible with a priest if you take a dyad carving crystal so you can have 3.3% crit chance but we will talk about it in 2min

here in the info i have +266 crit and i didn't took my battle potion but with it i still have +114 power so we can have some power even in full crit build

Now the jewels ,

because we want this cap we will take a double crit set on the jewels

with a manorbone earing/ring and a blubred earring/ring composition for the necklace you can have a pvp one or a manorbone one

all depend if you are axed for pvp or pve but the stats are the same so don t worry

for the rolls its simple: earring 4% and 4 endurance

for the rings: 4 power and 4 crit factor basically we search all the tier 1 rolls

if you can t have perfect roll atleast take the tier 1 crit on every ring

for the belt same thing tier 1 roll :6 crit 3 power

for the brooch, ideally you need the goddess quaterfoil brooch but if you can t go for the crit one so you can take the near 100% crit on burst phase and gain attack speed for improving your rotation

i have the power one cause i m a rebel one lol and want to see big number but it term of dps it s the dumbest haha

for the rolls of the brooch tier 1: crit 6 power 3

For the zyrsks now we go in real to the things who will upgrade stupidly our damage

for the jewels we will take full zyrsk crit so we can have +24 crit

for the weapon we will alway have this 3 zyrsk in pve

focused for increase power crit against enraged monster by 1.88

savage and bitter for increasing crit power on monster when atacking from behind by 1.32 and 1.52

so in total we have a total of 8.44 crit power multiplicator on our damage if we count the 0.3 of the roll weapon, the battle potion and the 2 crit power of our basic! pretty insane isn t it?

for the 4th one all depend of what is your healer in your group.

if mystic just put a pounding for the 8.5% damage increase its huge on a 8.44 crit multiplicator damage

if priest you d ont have your cap crit so instead of pounding you will take the carving like i spoke about earlier

so you will get the +286 of crit factor so 346 total like me with lamb Bulgogi and with the carving it will give you 3.3% crit who stack with the glyph and everything

80% crit on ts/cyclone and 75% crit on evasive but you will only get the 95% crit chance on the second thunderstrike if the 1st don t crit

not the best but at least it still pretty decent considered how far we are from the crit cap

considering you are with a priest or a mystic the slaying crystal will always be a better choice than the previous crystal mentioned in condition of knowing how to play slaying

but still don t forget that the slaying will alway be optimal with a mystic instead of a priest cause you will have your cap crit and if you play with a priest without the carving

you will not crit comfortably and a 2m ts instead of a 20m one is so saaaaad in the dps meter

for the chest just put hardy crystal so you can have the best reduction damage

the glyph!

mines are inspired from pc guide but still i needed to do some sacrifice to get the right number of point but i will teach it to you

begin with ts: just take everything

double crit cause we need to crit, reduction consomation hp cause we spam it or we get raped from hp consomation, speed casting cause it s a long charge

without it, and take eliminate slowed movement restriction so we can replace ourselve when charging ts

information: ts have a 4 tic damage overcharge who do more damage each tic you overcharge so release your ts at 4 but don t over do it cuz overcharging more is useless and lose time

and don t release it before the 4th tics or it will not have the best damage output

now flattern,this skill is in the continuity of raze who is our primary filler and do insane damage so we want it do the best damage possible and the fastest possible so we doesn t take too much time for a filler

so glyph the speed and the damage

Mocking shout is an essential skill in our rotation because it will accelerate our cyclone speed with this glyph without losing time cause we will cancel the animation by raze so like a free buff of cyclone every rotation

this one so take it!

we will now talk about our primary buff and begin of every rotation Fiery rage,

this skill grant a 20 bonus of power and 10 % bonus of crit factor and endurance for 27 sec but WARNING its only the basics stats the whites one!!!!

it will also give you Flurry of blow who give a bonus of 40% of attack speed and charging speed for 10 sec so naturally thats what we will glyph so we can have 14 seconds!

cyclone, our 2nd best dps skill who in reality will do more damage than ts cause it s a 5tics of overcharge but in term of damage per seconds ts is better cause of the long animation

so we will take everything btw so increase overdamage by 12%, speed casting cause if not omg will be a day before attacking,and double crit cause we need crit lol

cyclone is a 5 tic so you will better do a overcharge of cyclone in preventing a mechanic for the evasive strike instead of the thunderstrike overcharge so you can maximize the damage

in Pc they glyph vampiric but i just can t, cause of not have any point left so here is the sacrifice of console but we don t really care cause vampiric is not already revamped so he does pretty shitty damage

but we still put in our rotation cause we can and stil even 1m is better than nothing

bloodlust is our burst buff who will ONLY be used on enrage time coupled with brooch and synchronisation with buff of lancer or contagion the debuff of mystic

evasive strike is a skill in 2 part: 1) dodge cause it can replace our iframe and keeping our overcharge of ts or cyclone

2) u need to press again the skill to unleash the overcharge of ts or cyclone you was keeping

we will glyph the damage and the crit so we will have no loss on a overcharge dodge and we will see the big number we all loved in the indroduction haha

but don t ever forget that a cyclone full crit will alway do more damage than a evasive strike!

raze is our primary filler he have good dps, cancel mocking shout and even buff the charging speed of thunder strike so we will glyph the speed of the skill and the speed charging bonus on thunderstrike

and without it when flurry of blow is not active we would be insanly slow so the combination of mocking shout and raze will compensate the loss of flurry of blow for the last 14 sec

tackle is a filler that we can use at the very end of the rotation for waiting the last second before using Fiery of Rage again. but low crit chance so no glyph and we don t have enough point lol

unbreakable is your 2nd iframe even with a 5min cd you still need to know that this skill is a iframe for the duration of the animation and even after the animation for 8sec your hp will never go below 1hp outside a damage that will exceed your max hp

so in RMHM at the 30% push if for some reason you are out range of any way of getting a dispel just use it before hand so the heal can have 8 sec to dispel and heal you

ROTATION

the primary thing to know for the rotation is that every attack need to be block canceled so each animation last for the best efficient time before go for the next skill

so for pvp need to changing crystal we will change the focus and the bitter for a brutal and a cruel one for increase power crit on knock down darget and increase damge on knock down target

for the 4th we will use in general the carving for better chance of crit but versus a mystic or a sorcerer i prefer a swift crystal cause they TP all time and it s hard to catch them haha

For the chest HP crystal so we get 148k hp pretty tanky and better for the regeneration of tenacity

for the glyph in pvp i pretty need to explain everything cause the class is totally different than in pve

First you need to know what our principal Kd skill:TS +Flattern +Tackle

cause our class use the principe of burn the retaliate of the enemy so we kd him again and have a free 10 sec combo on him =)

The ts will normally don t be fully charged outside the fact that you already burn his retaliate and we are in our 10 sec combo.but normally we will just do the instant ts for kd so no need for hp consummation

Flattern need to be fast otherwise the stag of the raze will not be sufficient so we still need to use full glyph on it

we will often use staggering strike for free kd and much but still no glyph on it not worth it

mocking shout is insane in pvp because it give 8 fuking second of immunity to stagger and kd so an awesome buff but we will no glyph it cause we don t need cyclone in fully charged way

btw i can give you the advice to use it in the begin if the duel cause the range of the skill stagg and because after that the time of animation is a free stunlock from the war or any stun lock class

Fiery rage same things for pvp insane buff of attack and charging speed so use it in the begining if you want to end it fast

ahhh cyclone , guys in pvp if i ever see one of you using a fully charged cyclone after this video i will literally cry ! Too long to charge easy to dodge and can be canceled easily! and a free stun lock or any control for any class! so never again !!!!!

so basically use it like a 360° stag attack that give you a free ts if timed prefectly ! so just glyph the speed for the evasive and the stag way

the leaping strike have a passive skill that give 5 time more damage to kd target so insane damage output for a pvp zerk. glyph the crit to guaranty a 40k in the kd combo

cause of the synergy with the cruel and brutal crystal

glyph retaliate for better survability

oh the fearsome shout is one of my favorite skill in pvp it literally give you a free 2nd kd if you go behind the enemy if he is impatient and burn instantly his retaliate

if my fear connect it s an auto win situation for me. so they need to wait before retaliate instantly but even if they do that i just need to anticipate and do my slow haha no escape hihihihi

don t ever forget to go behind the enemy for fear cause they can block it :/

TENACITY THE BEST SKILL PVP OF THE GAME immunity to stun 5sec+ regen hp 12% =every 22 sec

so basically if you use mocking shout and tenacity after you have immunity to all cc in the game for 5 sec =)

the slow! like i said earlier your countermeasure to the people who know how to play pvp versus zerk. just slow them and they can t use any dodge or movement skill for 6 sec so basically a free 2nd kd if you be in guard cause stun lock tp are not considered as movement skill .... sad right? still OP

Bloodlust is a very strong buff but i use it only when i connected a burned retaliate fear so i can do a very powerful ts =)

evasive strike, same glyphe just use it when the timing is good or with a guy who flee a little too much to do a huge blow in one hit like healers

raze same glyph cause we need the speed for the stag combo with flattern and the bonus as on thunderstrike is cool too but we don t take the cd reduction cause we want it to synchronize with flattern

tackle is one of your kd skill use it when the enemy use a skill that stop them in their movement or just when they go in straight line or in your combo kd rotation

unbreakable work on pvp too if the duel or pvp is close you can dodge a lose for 8 sec or for waiting a heal in 3v3

for battleground don t take swift or cavring and use a salvating crystal for regen mana and use a grieving crystal instead of a Hp crystal in the chest slots for mana

u will even take out the reduction cd on tenacity to get the hp consumation on ts and the regen mana with successful block on block skill

TH Pronunciation | The ULTIMATE Guide for English Learners! - Duration: 10:10.

Well hey there I'm Emma from mmmEnglish!

In this lesson, I'll go over the pronunciation

of the 'th' sounds.

I'll remind you how to make the sounds

because actually there are two sounds

made by the letters 'th'

and I'll give you some guidelines

to help you to decide when to use each sound.

And more importantly,

we'll practise using these sounds in sentences

because that's when it gets tricky.

Before we get started,

I want to say a huge welcome to my newest subscribers

Okay so the 'th' sounds are really common,

really common in English,

though, not many other languages use these sounds.

So if you're having trouble pronouncing the 'th' sounds,

then don't feel bad about it, you're definitely not alone.

But the good news is you can improve this sound

and you can start to feel more natural as you're using it

but you have to commit!

Improving your pronunciation is like going to the gym.

The first time, you're gonna suck at it.

But each time that you go back

and you work those muscles a little bit more,

the easier it will get

and the better you'll feel about yourself, right?

So remember, that the tongue is also a muscle

and you need to strengthen it, you need to workout.

So let's review the position of the tongue.

Open your mouth and push your tongue through,

just a little,

not like this,

like this.

Put your finger there if you're unsure about

where to stop your tongue.

Notice that the tongue is not completely relaxed,

there's a little tension.

If you rub the bottom of your teeth with your tongue,

can you feel the tension in your tongue?

This is the same amount of tension that you need to

hold the 'th' position.

The tongue is not completely relaxed, it's lifted

and running through the middle of your mouth.

If your tongue is too high in the mouth,

up behind your teeth,

you'll make that /t/ or /d/ sound.

And if your tongue is not coming through your teeth,

if you keep it inside, you'll make a /s/ or a /z/ sound.

So you really must pay attention to the tip

of your tongue,

it must come through between your teeth.

Now as I mentioned, there are two 'th' sounds,

a voiced sound and an unvoiced sound.

Now both of these sounds use exactly

the same mouth position.

It's just that the sound comes from a different place.

Voiced consonant sounds

are made using the vocal cords.

So once you've got your teeth and your mouth in

position and you make a sound here,

you should feel a buzzing.

It might even tickle your tongue a little.

Unvoiced consonant sounds are made by air

pushing through your mouth.

So it's the air that creates the sound.

So keep your tongue and your mouth

in the same position,

make sure you've got some air in your lungs

and push the air through.

So this is the unvoiced 'th' sound.

So when should you use the voiced

or the unvoiced sound?

That's a great question

because both sounds are represented

by the same letters.

And I wish I had a simple answer for you,

I know that you like it when I have a simple explanation

of why this rule is like that and when you should use it

but unfortunately in this situation,

there are lots of exceptions.

But there are some guidelines

that I'm going to share with you,

guides that will help you to make a decision

and help you to use the correct 'th' sound.

Remember they're guides, not rules

but let's focus on the unvoiced sound first,

made with air.

So a 'th' at the beginning of content words

is usually an unvoiced 'th' sound.

So content words are words that provide

the meaning in a sentence.

There are nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs.

Words like 'think' and 'thought' and 'thirsty'

and 'thankful' and 'theory'.

So the 'th' at the start of content words

is usually unvoiced.

Now if there is a 'th' in the middle of a word,

before a consonant,

it's usually unvoiced.

'bathtub'

'faithful'

'worthless'

And a 'th' at the end of a word is usually unvoiced.

'month'

'strength'

'warmth'

'teeth'

'fifth'

There are some exceptions though.

And I'm going to talk about those in just a minute.

Now the voiced 'th' sound

made using your vocal cords.

So if there's a 'th' at the beginning of a structure word,

they're usually voiced. So structure words,

sometimes called function words,

are different to content words

because they don't have a lot of meaning in

English sentences. They're grammatical words.

They don't tell us a lot of information but they're

important to the structure of English sentences.

So structure words are words like 'this', 'that', 'those',

'these', 'the', 'there', 'then' or 'than'

So all of these words, I mean, some of these words are

very, very, common English words, right?

They're very, very common.

So learning to pronounce the different 'th' sounds

is really important

if you want to sound natural when you speak English.

There is a noticeable difference.

Now a 'th' in the middle of the word, when it's between

two vowel sounds is usually this voiced sound.

'bother'

'worthy'

'mother'

Now I said the 'th' is usually unvoiced

at the end of words but except

if the word ends ends in '-the'

like 'bathe', 'breathe' and 'loathe'.

So these are pretty good guides

but there are always exceptions, aren't there?

English!

There are exceptions like 'smooth'

and 'clothes'

and 'frothy'.

All of these words are breaking the rules

and there are more!

Actually if you can think of any more,

please add them to the comments

so that we can talk about

some of the exceptions in the comments.

But anyway,

now that you've got through most of these guidelines,

it's time to practise.

So I want you to repeat after me.

Throw those things.

Five by Five • S01E18 • TPN's Angel Guide - Duration: 22:53.

I've tried to make the script for this video entirely self-contained.

However it's viewing is enhanced greatly by having watched two previous videos of mine.

The Buffy episode guides for Lie to Me & Amends

Respectively.

Both are linked, in the description

During Angel's run, the series experienced two reinventions where the very skeleton of

the show itself was changed.

I mentioned in the last episode guide that there had already been a shift away from the

case of the week with Angel as the protective guardian, to a greater focus on our trio of

do-gooders.

But Five By Five cauterizes that change and uses the Ragin Slayer to reintroduce Angel's

mission statement.

This is a terrific episode, and a fan favorite for good reason.

I have a couple issues with it here and there but it reminds me of the Buffy episode Passion.

Like Passion the final act leaves me holding my breath, and elevates 5by5 to one of my

favorite episodes of the series.

In this video I also want to have a discussion about Faith's arc, and since Faith is a

former psychological symbol of Buffy's and works as a direct analogy to Angel, there

is a lot to talk about.

Pay close attention to this one and Sanctuary.

These are linchpins for both shows in what they have to say about love, redemption, Sunnydale,

LA, Buffy, and Angel.

Five by Five begins with a rather long and epic previously-on covering a full season

plus two episodes of Buffy.

A street criminal is being chased by three demon assassins when Angel and Wesley roll

up and save him.

Again, I'm always pleasantly surprised by the show's willingness to "go there"

with demon gore.

It's definitely something unique to Angel the Series.

At the bus station Faith appears in a reveal that always gives me a little chill, and mugs

a low life for his jacket and abode.

Faith already looks "Angel'd up" from the hyper saturated Buffy Season 4.

Her time since the church is wearing heavily on her.

In flashback we see Angel killing the Romani girl that would eventually lead to his reensoulment.

Then follows a bit of an odd sequence.

While Angel tries to save the soul of the ruffian, Cordy says all men are nothing but

surface.

Cut to where Faith dances up on a girl's boyfriend and he doesn't care.

Faith decks the girlfriend.

The guy tries to hit her her and she takes him out.

This begins a melee in the bar which Faith dances her way through as though it isn't

there.

There are a few things going on here.

One of which I'll save until the end of the video.

First the bit with the couple works as a sort of a pantomime callback to what happened with

Riley and Buffy in Sunnydale, where Riley slept with someone who wasn't his girlfriend

(skipping over the consent issue here - you can go watch the episode guide for that discussion)

and then Faith ended up hurting both of them in the process.

The dancing through the melee also works symbolically for her willingness to just ignore the chaos

she's created and acting the way she always has.

Just close your eyes and keep dancing.

Just keep dancing.

I like the themes.

It's just the excectuion plays out a little campy to me.

In court, Evil Bazinga and Lindsey are about to close a case when Angel brings in the reformed

ruffian and turns over Lindsey's apple cart.

Lindsey and Evil Bazinga scheme to get Faith to kill Angel, and Lillah wants in.

Lillah finds Faith at a bar.

F: I guess we can go somewhere and talk.

But I'm less of a talker.

More of a doer.

L: I think you misunderstood my intentions.

The evil trio makes Faith their offer in exchange for killing Angel and Evil Bazinga makes the

mistake of thinking he's in charge.

Faith politely corrects him.

Bazinga.

Bazinga.

Bazinga.

Back in flashback, a newly ensouled Angel returns to Darla who is confused:

What is this?

Have you met someone else.

"I'm not playing - I just want to feel something else besides the cold.

Don't you feel the cold, Darla?"

Darla kicks him out and Angel tries to feed again but his conscience won't let him.

Faith tries an old trick she'd used on Angel before.

*shooting Angel in the back montage.

It doesn't work.

Angel suggests team Angel split up.

His persistent early attempts to keep people away from him in the first season ARE part

of the point of the first season but, after it has gone badly often enough it starts to

feel a little Cabin in the Woods level satire.

Later that

day Faith tosses Angel a gun to see if he'll shoot her.

He aims for her torso.

Don't know why he throws the gun back to her, blanks or no but she uses it to try and

needle him harder into action.

At her place Dennis tries not to let Cordy and Wes in (I LOVE DENNIS) but when he finally

does Faith is there.

"I also believe you're a good person."

"What do you believe now?"

This may be as significant an episode for Wesley as for anyone else.

If everyone on Angel is in LA to atone for something, then the need for Wesley's redemption

was created from failure as Faith's watcher.

This moment with Faith gives him a real chance to atone for his previous failures.

Wesley absolutely knows he can't overpower her.

If he can avoid playing into her game, letting her actions inflame his anger, and just find

some way to get through to...

Okie dokie.

Instead, Wesley acts quickly and violently, without consideration of the cost.

It may be a fistpump moment watching Wesley stand up to the out of control Slayer who

has been taking a wrecking ball to all the people we care about, but it's significant

that Wesley just forfeited this possibility of atonement for vengeance, and validated

the toxic behavior of someone in a suicidal tailspin - who is trying desperately to convince

everyone that she is not worth saving.

It's a shocking moment and more important than it may seem.

This begins a remarkable scene between them.

A case study in dramatic tension and character.

It's incredibly tense but there's very little violence shown in the shot.

Everything is implied.

Hinted at.

The actual horror isn't onscreen.

And what makes it work are just monumental performances from Dushku and Denisof, along

with some pitch-perfect musical coverage.

As strong as he is in this scene, Faith's attempts to terrorize Wesley worked on me

completely.

"We've done blunt.

But that still leaves hot, cold, sharp, and loud."

Uhh...can we go with tickle?

In an episode that wasn't quite holding together for me, this scene is Giles' walk

up the stairs to La Boheme.

There's no looking away from this moment on.

W: "I was your Watcher Faith.

I know the real you.

And even if you kill me there's just one thing I want you to remember.

You...are a piece of sh..."

F: "You should talk."

We've seen Wesley's vulnerability in earlier episodes but this episode gives us a glimpse

of something darker.

Something...more vengeful.

It is also the end of bumbling Wesley.

As the series has gone on there has been growing pattern of rashness or impulsivity revealed

in Wesley's character.

*demon face

It appears that Faith is succeeding in convincing everyone else what she is.

"You're nothing.

Disgusting murderous bitch.

You're nothing.

You're disgusting."

The bad guy.

As Angel tracks her down Faith looks emptily at a shard of glass covered in Wesley's

blood which she drops half heartedly in the alley.

I wondered if it was to bait Angel closer with the smell.

But after making Faith a terrifying character through the torture of another character that

I already loved, Dushku and company did enough with one single shot to completely restore

my empathy for her.

It's kind of a marvel.

In the shard of glass we see the horror of what she's done and in her expression we

see her horror at who she is.

As Faith menaces Wesley with a blowtorch, Angel comes to save the day.

This is a terrific fight but what makes it work for me so much more are Angel's lines

during the brawl.

First he cuts instantly to the quick of her braggadocious artifice

A: This isn't about Wesley.

This is about you and me.

F: No baby he's payback.

A: For what?

I thought you were happy being the way you are.

He is SO incisive in this scene.

This could be one of my favorite Angel moments in the series.

The writer's using EVERYTHING that he is so he can save someone.

Wesley breaks loose and so does the fight.

But it's important the way Angel fights.

Never really with initiative.

He deflects.

He drains.

But he doesn't really attack.

When she lunges with a stake, Angel takes the fight outside.

"I wish I could make the world a better place for you to wake up in.

But the hard pill to swallow is that once I'm gone, your days are just plain numbered."

And as Angel strips away Faith's reasons for attacking him, her real intention starts

to become clear.

A: You think I don't know what you're after, I do.

Wesley cuts himself free and grabs a knife to jump into the fray.

But in the alleyway, Faith's defense is crumbling.

Before we go any further let's look at what has lead up to this moment to try and understand

the characters in the Buffyverse in a way we haven't before.

We've spoken at great lengths now about the show's philosophy and portrayal of the

soul as the moral compass.

And how it is the moral compass that enables us to make choices that might be contrary

to our own self-interests, as varied as those self interests may be.

In other words, the soul is what empowers us with genuine free will and the possibility

of making choices that fill our life with meaning.

To this point we've also spoken vaguely about the role that love has played in the

philosophical model.

Buffy's show makes clear that one of the reasons for her longevity as the Slayer is

the love she shares for the people around her.

Mother, Father in Giles, and Xander and Willow.

"You're the Slayer, and we're the Slayerettes."

But I've also suggested that the soulless and the evil in the Buffyverse can love.

Lacking a soul doesn't make you incapable of loving, just incapable of loving selflessly.

To put it all into perspective, it's useful if we take a look at the three Slayer's

we've met in the Buffyverse so far, Faith, Buffy, and Kendra, all three of which have

souls.

Loosely the three of them actually work quite well as symbols for Freud's three aspects

of the human personality.

The ID, the Ego, and the Superego.

The ID, Faith in this case, is our inner child.

The ID is the source of every impulsive desire we have towards loving and be loved, joy,

rage, and post adolescence, sex.

As much as we might intellectualize and romanticize our ability to love,

babies aren't born with any sense of duty or purpose, but obviously are attached to

and show affection for their mothers from birth.

Attachment and affection are just terms that fall under the broad umbrella spectrum by

which we define love.

And as we get older and become more complex, so too do the ways in which we desire and

show affection for the people closest to us.

Kendra, symbolically would be the superego, pursuing duty and the ideals of the Watchers

to a fault, almost totally at the expense of love, friends, or indulgence of any earthly

impulses.

This element of personality is not the soul itself but it requires one in order to be

present.

Which is why vampires are all ID monster.

For now Buffy is the ego, or balance between.

Walking the tightrope between the passionless Superego

"That emotion you're feeling right now?

That's anger."

And the reckless and impulsive ID "But we don't get to pass judgement on people,

like we're better than everybody else.."

--- "We ARE better."

But Buffy's show is about becoming an adult that lives with authenticity, which to me

means accepting an ongoing process of integrating the impulses of her ID and the demands of

her superego into her own unified identity.

In other words someone who loves herself while always striving to be better.

And the engine of that process is living an examined life.

"You must be so disappointed in me."

"No."

"Oh but I know you, Anne.

So afraid, so pathetically determined to run away from whatever you used to be.

To disappear.

Congratulations.

You got your wish."

"I'm Buffy, the Vampire Slayer and you are?"

"Before I became the Slayer I was... well I don't want to say shallow, but... let's

just say a certain person who shall remain nameless, let's call her "Spordelia", looked

like a classical philosopher next to me."

Becoming a better human being is not simply a matter of environmental coincidence combined

with the inevitability of time but requires a healthy (as in non-neurotic) amount of introspection.

We can't actually make a meaningful choice if we deny what we've done or who we genuinely

are in this moment.

And, to some degree, Angel's show is more full of characters grappling with that ongoing

process of adulthood than Buffy's.

"Then it's like I'm still being punished."

"Punished?

For what?"

"For who I was.

For the things I did in High School."

"Well we all got something to atone for."

"The council was right to sack me."

"What do you want Angel?"

"I want...forgiveness…"

"And that's the truth."

As I've said before, if Buffy is principally a show about growing up, then Angel is a show

about being adult.

It's important to make the distinction that just because Kendra and Faith work well as

symbols, doesn't mean they aren't also complex characters.

Kendra had human impulses but denied them in the name of duty.

Faith acts almost entirely impulsively but there has always been indications that she

wants to be more.

As when she fell victim to Gwendolyn Post's manipulations or even her subconscious dream

self giving Buffy the key to defeating the Mayor.

There is much evidence in the Buffyverse to suggest that a necessary balance for living

a moral, ethical life of meaning is love.

Friends.

Family.

Partners.

As the title suggests with Out of Sight, Out of Mind - Marcie's inability to connect

with anyone around her eventually lead her to turn completely invisible and, following

that, insane.

Her's is not simply a hedonistic spree of violence.

"The loneliness.

The constant exile.

She has gone mad."

Jonathan's inability to connect with anyone lead to his suicide attempt in the clocktower,

where Buffy tried to share with him the perspective that everyone is suffering.

Everyone is turned inward.

But rather than developing that empathy for everyone else and letting that bring some

peace to his own pain, in Superstar he made himself the nexus of everyone's focus.

"Jonathan you can't keep trying to fix everything with some, grand gesture."

One way or another, our innate desire to love and be loved must be grappled with.

But I wouldn't dare oversimplify as to say that the reason Faith committed evil was because

she wasn't loved enough.

We all suffer loneliness and loss and cruelty.

But certainly Faith came to Sunnydale with some open wounds and lacking the tools for

closure.

She makes no mention of her father but her mother is dead and we can infer what her upbringing

was like:

"Mom was so busy, you know, enjoying the drinking and passing out parts of life, that

I never really got what I wanted."

She also witnessed her Watcher's grisly murder.

She has a use-them-and-lose-them attitude to any men in her life.

They are not a source for connection.

"All men are beasts Buffy."

But she and Buffy were, for a few episodes, on the verge of making that necessary connection

for her, before the recklessness and impulsiveness which she brought along with her to Sunnydale

causes a morally abhorrent act that she can't take back.

And she reacts as someone with a hungry unfed ID might, unable to take any responsibility

for her actions.

"The bodies gone.

I weight it and dumped it.

It never happened."

Her denial causes a permanent rift with the one person she might've had a healthy connection

to.

And I think perhaps having been the victim of some monstrous acts in her lifetime, the

only way she can understand Alan's murder is that she too much be a monster.

With that, Faith tumbles into darkness.

Abandoning free will for the only source of connection she can find.

The problem is that the Mayor was soulless and because of that the mayor's love could

only be conditional.

In this case upon his being able to control her.

"Replacing Mr. Trick was problem enough."

- "Shoes shoes shoes."

He didn't hold Faith to any higher moral standard, as Buffy, Xander, and Willow hold

each other, because he was incapable of one himself.

But he did love her, and one of his final acts on earth was to leave a message, and

one last shot at Buffy.

After the body swap, in Who Are You, Faith gets a taste of a life she's always wanted.

A mother who loves her.

Friends who include her.

A tender intimate boyfriend.

And people who express great gratitude towards her for being the Slayer.

Her decision to go to the church is her first moral choice since Alan's death.

But she doesn't want to live as Buffy has.

She wants to be Buffy.

Because she…

Is tainted.

When Five By Five begins, we find her dancing, alone, eyes closed as the violent consequences

of her actions domino around her.

This scene is so reminiscent of another that I think we might interpret what she's imagining

as she moves alone across the floor.

And the name of the club is Club Hell.

A callback to another episode, Anne, when Buffy abandoned her calling and ended up a

nameless nothing in a hell dimension surrounded by victim's she couldn't save.

"What is hell, but the substantive absence of hope?

The tactile proof of despair."

But in Faith's hell, she is the devil.

The rotten and selfish monster, ignoring choice and freewill, because not doing so would mean

having to take responsibility for deeds she can't take back.

F: What if you had Buffy?

And Giles was my watcher.

Do you think you'd still be sitting here right now.

Or would Giles be sitting in that chair?

Or is it just fate?

And there's not choice.

You were going to be here no matter what?

Think about that stuff?

...I don't.

It's a hell in which she is the evil person she's afraid she is, constantly escalating

the violence with a single specific purpose in mind.

In the finale she regularly refers to herself as bad which we can interpret in this case

as someone who has murdered.

And she uses the same term for Angel.

"Come on Angel.

I thought you were bad."

And since she had a soul and murdered several people she thought she might be able to get

Angel to kill her, if given enough incentive.

She even tests if Angel he's ready to go all the way.

"You didn't shoot to kill.

We're going to have to up the stakes a little."

But somewhere inside, the spark is burning her.

Just as Faith story parallels Buffy going to LA to escape herself and ending up in Hell,

there were two instances of Angel attempting suicide because he had given up hope.

The first I pointed out earlier in Buffy Season 1 Episode 7, and the second is in Amends.

To be clear though, the weight of the soul may often be a source of despair, regret,

and hopelessness but suicide is still an act that emerges from our ID.

Which is why Spike is capable of attempting it.

It's an act motivated to remove oneself from suffering, pain done to you or the pain

of the what you've done.

Coupled with the belief that things are truly hopeless.

That either we lack the ability to affect actual change in our lives.

Or that we don't deserve it.

"Am I a thing worth saving?"

After Angel decides to keep fighting, his first real client, was actually Faith in Consequences.

"You don't have to disappear into the darkness Faith."

Think about the original mission statement in the first season: Angel investigations

we help the hopeless.

Wesley botched Angel's chance there but here in the final scene of the episode, despite

all the horror she is capable of inflicting on him and his family, Angel's unwillingness

to kill her, and to bear every brutal punch and let her beat her self-hatred against the

shoreline, is an immutable act of compassion.

Finally, for Faith, and after she's done absolutely everything she can to prove she

doesn't deserve it, an act of selfless authentic love.

And if she's worth that, then maybe it follows that there's hope.

After all, the episode in which Faith premiered was called Faith, Hope, and Trick, which was

a play on Corinthian's 13:13

And now these three remain, faith, hope, and love.

But the greatest of these is love.

It's complicated.

It's beautiful.

It's gut wrenching.

I love this episode.

The psychological mechanics going on are absolutely lovely.

And as much as I may have a complaint or two about the opening, the back half is flawless

and just emotionally devastating.

Wesley dropping the knife is one of the most beautiful and cinematic shots in the series.

If Angel lacked a Big Bad before, Wesley, Lillah, and Evil Banzinga scheming to have

him killed certainly cements their role in the Angelverse.

In this series we've been using Buffy and Angel as mediums for discussing life, philosophy

and psychology, but I believe it's important to make an addendum to this one.

As much as I think the characters work as interesting models for authentic living, they're

are always saved by another's love.

Angel is saved from the void by Buffy.

Twice.

Jonathan.

And here Faith.

And that works well in drama.

But the hard truth is that oftentimes, our suffering is solitary - our self-hatred, something

that we flay ourselves with from the shadows.

As I've said in other videos, part of finding the will to go and get the rock is not just

believing that there are things worth fighting for, but accepting that you are one of them.

In truth, I'm not sure that unconditional love exists except in our capacity to give

our own away freely, including to ourselves.

And whatever has come before, there is in every passing moment an opportunity to create

good.

That's hope.

Which has ended up being my reason to hike back down the hill for another go with rock.

The hope that in a day or so, I'll create something new that might provide someone a

moments peace.

I don't always, but it happens sometimes.

And when it does, it's enough.

She's like us.

She's a monster now.

She's an innocent victim.

So were we.

over here at the Weena.

Next, you could try the Euromastpark, here:

It's the best park Rotterdam has to offer.

A great place to go and lie in the sun.

But there's another place here, called Parqiet.

a beautiful old coach house,

where you can have a fantastic breakfast or lunch.

Westelijk Handelsterrein is over here.

It draws lots of innovative people from the leisure sector,

and they come up with tons of new ideas

for things to do in your spare time,

so there's all sorts of stuff going on around the clock:

Sleeping, eating, dancing and drinking.

And the 'Industriegebouw' has scores of different restaurants,

But also a shop called Groos:

over here, Groos.

You can only buy stuff made by designers from Rotterdam.

So it is not your typical tourist store.

It's the best Rotterdam has to offer.

This building's another magnet.

And a lot of thought has gone into it.

They haven't just stuck 500 random designers

there and let them get on with it.

To see what happens.

They have put a lot of thought into it and you can feel it

For clubbing,

here's Zomerhofkwartier or Zoho

But here you also have the Bird.

One of the best nightclubs, but it's also a restaurant,

one of Rotterdam's coolest concert venues.

Bird and Rotown are both amazing places to see great bands.

I'd also recommend Huis Sonneveld:

It's almost like a time capsule.

The Van Nelle family used to make tobacco and chocolate,

and this was their house.

It brings together a mixture of different styles,

including Bauhaus.

It's all captured in this building.

So, it's a bit like a museum.

Lots of people might find it boring,

But that couldn't be further from the truth.

It's like being in a house from the 30s or 40s.

It really is a mind-blowing experience.

So now let's go into this area:

It's probably the most underrated part of Rotterdam.

There's an island called Noordereiland,

and you just have to experience it.

Because the dynamic here is different from anywhere else.

There are lots of entrepreneurs and the number is increasing.

It almost feels like you're on vacation.

There's also A La Plancha:

It's a fish restaurant, and you can have a fantastic lunch there.

It's located on the water, so you're on a pontoon

with a view out over the city.

You have boats passing by and the water taxis.

Over here, you really have that holiday feeling.

So, I'd definitely recommend that you go there

if you want a different take on the Rotterdam experience.

today I want to show you a couple of pro tips on how to look like a knowledgeable

YouTube channel owner how you can look like you really know what you're doing

one of those tricks is learning how to format your comment with bold and

italics things like that so one thing I'm going to do is let's paste in this

statement now as you can see I already put the lipstick emoji in there and I

got that from emoji pedia or you can simply highlight what you want copy and

then paste it in and what I want to show you is how to add some interesting

formatting so we're going to put an asterisks in front of this caps

statement so this whole cap statement is going to be bold the next thing I want

to show you we leave this statement plain is how to make a question in

italics which helps it stand out so what I want to do is if I do this right here

you'll see that it changes the format of my comment so now I have a bold entry

statement in caps I have my emoji and then I have my normal statement just

normal text and then I have my italics question and this is a good way to place

the first comment in a video we're going to the first comment of the video it

should be yours and then you want to take this comment and you want to pin it

and it will give you a little confirmation this allows you to guide

the discussion and it also allows you to interact with the viewer

before the anyone has posted a single helmet it gives you the initiation when

it comes to discussions so this is really important now you can put a more

inspiring comment and I put in there but it gets the job done now I usually don't

like and heart my own comments but if you feel like you want the comment to

stand out and it's important to you it's important to have the viewers pay

attention to that comment sometimes the liking and the loving of your of your

home comment is acceptable when the statement is incredibly important to the

whole video now with that said let's see if you can edit so when you edit a post

like this I'm going to take question I'm going to put it one line

down so it stands out a little bit more so the trick with that then we're going

to bold something so let's go ahead and gonna hit enter and I'm going to go in

and I'm going to go and bold colors so we're going to bold the word colors and

then we'll see what that does and get an idea if this makes it stand out better

so there you go so this is the current list of top

colors by search results in bold you have your emoji and then you have

your normal statement after and a lot of this adds to search ability and then you

have your question underneath to interact with the viewer what colors are

your favorite with colors in bold now it gets a little tricky here if you try to

edit something like this you have to be careful of these little underscores so

what you would have to do to edit this is essentially you'd have to kind of

remove the extra underscores now YouTube does that on purpose to make sure that

the word color is bolded so this is a little bit advanced so now what I could

do is let's just add another line and generally what I are adding to the word

that is generally I do not add too much more formatting if you go and go format

crazy a lot of things don't work so you can get away with a fairly elaborate

statement but it needs to be you know well well constructed so there we go

there we have our custom looking comment with all kinds of formatting options and

the questions engaging its pinned now remember when you edit you have to repin

so we're gonna have to pin it one more time you have to pin it every time you

edit because when you edit a post it unpin zit alright and this is how I

would do it don't do all caps don't do all lowercase because your comment won't

stand out and use the bold statement in the very beginning to get people's

attention and then you can use the italics when you pose your question to

the viewer and this is somewhat advanced so remember once again it's the asterisk

symbol before let's just let's just see this one more time

you've got the asterisk symbol before the sentences that are the words that is

that you want bolded and then you have the underscore for your italic

and remember when you go to edit YouTube's going to add some extra

italics so you can just go ahead and remove that you want the underscore to

be at the beginning and end of whatever sentence you're trying to make italic

There's like little things that she does that are so Dolly-like

If I'm carrying a bunch of stuff and I accidentally dropped the leash, so I'm not connected to her

She just stops and stands there and looks at me like I'm not gonna go anywhere

I do a lot of traveling so I fly all the time

So she's basically like my carry-on. She curls up under the seat

Dolly has been to Sao Paulo, Brazil

She's been to Antigua. She's also been to Hawaii three times.

Sometimes people will say, "Oh, does she ever get to be just a dog?"

And I say "yes, of course she does"

Think about what Dolly does every day

She comes to work. She's engaged in my life. We travel together

She gets to go to restaurants, and plays, and movies

How many other dogs get to do that?

So how in the world can people say

"Oh, it's it's so sad that she doesn't have a life"

It is a government document used to determine how much need-based aid you will receive in college

Here's how it works: Take the school's total cost of attendance

For example, $48,000, that includes tuition fees room and board books and other estimated expenses

The FAFSA will determine your estimated Family Contribution or EFC

based on your tax return

this family of four with one student college has an EFC of

$6,000 that means the government estimates you can afford

$6,000 a year for that student. Subtract that from the cost of attendance of the school and you have an unmet need of $42,000

Then take into account any merit-based scholarships - in this example

$12,000 that leaves you with an unmet need of $30,000. That doesn't mean you will get financial aid to cover

$30,000, but you'll get some help particularly at a private school

for instance the student in this example is a resident of the state of North Carolina and qualifies for

$7,000 the state and federal grant aid

considering the student's need in 2017 this private university added $9,300 in

Institutional need-based aid that leaves a student with a total cost of about $19,700 a year

Rotterdam is a really cool and dynamic city.

A place where I can channel my energy into different stuff

and the city's energy suits me perfectly.

Rotterdam is home to the entire world.

And that's something I find very cool.

I notice it when I'm working in my practice at Hiphophuis.

In our community, there was a common need for a place

where we could dance, DJ or just meet up.

So in 2012 we moved to the location where we are right now.

Strategically speaking, it was a smart move

because it made people

more aware of us

and we became part of the city center.

So a number of different initiatives emerged.

There's an architectural firm located here, called Zus.

They created a skybridge,

connecting this area to this area.

And to this one.

There were various cultural initiatives for the area.

There's a radio station here called Operator Radio.

And on top of this building

there's a restaurant.

It's a cute place to eat.

They have a garden where they grow their own vegetables.

Here's the West-Kruiskade.

The street's very multicultural,

and has a wide range of good food from all over the world.

It's also very busy, but still manages to be cosy,

which is really great.

It's almost as if the world is passing you by.

So this is a park – the Wijkpark Oude Westen.

It's kind of a weird environment, almost surreal,

because you are in the middle of the city,

but it's so wonderfully quiet.

It's just amazingly calm and peaceful.

This is where the street begins.

And it goes this way.

The Zwaanshals was created to house

various types of boutiques.

Isis Vaandrager has her own store called Isis Inc.

The store sells clothing that's been used

in music videos and commercials,

so they have lots of cool, off-the-wall outfits.

The stuff they sell is one of a kind

and you won't find it anywhere else.

This street, the Witte De Withstraat,

is one of the city's most vibrant.

It's got everything: you can look at art,

have a night out, or go for dinner.

a really special gallery.

The place to go if you're into modern art.

Rotterdam has a number of beautiful bridges,

and the city's renowned for them.

If you're a jogger,

it's cool to work out a route that takes some of them in.
