How To Sharpen A Knife Like A Razor In 2 Minute On A Coffee Mug And A Food Processor - Duration: 6:01.Hello!
I greet you on the do-it-yourself channel.
Recently I saw a video showing the way to sharpen a knife with the bottom of a porcelain
mug.
Many bloggers repeated this video without bothering to check this video.
I decided to check this video I found out that the surface of the bottom
of the mug has insufficient abrasiveness to sharpen the knife.
That is, the opportunity to sharpen the knife is, but it will be very long.
So I thought a little and improved the process.
As you can see, I tried to sharpen the knife for a long time, but without success.
The result is more like polishing.
Now another way.
The principle of operation is the same as in the previous video.
I found a small porcelain cup without a handle and attached it to the grinding tool of a
food processor.
For this, I cut two strips from the rubber chamber from the bicycle.
At first I tried to set the bands at the top of the cup, but it turned out to be unreliable.
Then I moved the stripes down and it turned out to be a good way.
To save the writing processor from vibration I attached the processor's casing to the table
using steel corners.
In order not to damage the case, I wound the ends of the corners with electrical tape
Now you see that I shifted the rubber bands down.
The more reliable position of the belts is due to the fact that the drawings are not
smooth, but rough.
The other end of the tape I secured from the bottom of the center axis.
The bottom of the cup was covered with glaze, so I took off the glaze using a diamond disc
for tile cutting.
Now the bottom of the cup is the same as that of a large mug.
I'll try to sharpen the knife.
The knife has become very sharp, and on the abrasive cup I see a black layer of metal
dust from the knife.
This once again confirms that it is almost impossible to sharpen the knife on the bottom
of the cup by hand, since then this metallic dust was not visible.
If you find the video useful for your horizon, rate this video.
Thank you for watching my videos.
Bye.
Until the next video.

My Market Story: Padre Coffee - Duration: 2:07.(gentle music)
- My name's Ken.
I'm with Padre Coffee.
We've been in the market since 2009
so about eight years now.
We started off up in our shop in Brunswick
and we came down here because we heard how busy it was.
(gentle music)
So, a big focus for us, when we started
was really knowing all our customers
and being a community.
Trying to take that community atmosphere
and translate it to this
really really busy environment.
That was a big, a big jump for us.
So, a real learning experience.
When we first opened here it was Christmas time.
And we did not know what we were in for.
I think I opened on Christmas Eve
which anyone will tell you is one of the busiest days,
possibly the busiest day of the year.
I opened the shop by myself.
I opened the shop, and in the fish shop across the way
there was maybe 100 people.
They all turned around
stared at us
and just wandered in, and I was there by myself.
By the end of the day I think we had
four people on shift.
And we probably made 1,000 coffees that day.
Now every weekend we have probably nine people
in this tiny space.
It's incredible to see.
But they all work seamlessly with each other.
They're a fantastic team.
We hire a lot of young people.
And I believe in giving them opportunities
and giving them a really good chance to develop and grow.
It's something I'm committed to
and the market here gives me a really good
opportunity to do that.
South Melbourne is just, it's small.
It's busy.
It's vibrant, it's lively.
People just love being here.
So I kinda like to feel like we create this little
oasis where people can just
relax a little bit, take a breath.
And that's my market story.
(gentle music)
