hey guys so I wanted to hop on here really quick and I mean really quick
because my phone is about to die but I wanted to just go really quickly over
how to get these sticky labels off of your containers so these are the pub mix
snacks that I get from Costco and we love these as snack so we get them all
the time but I also love the containers and the containers are the perfect size
to store the cereal boxes that I get from Costco as well so I wanted a way to
store the cereal in these containers so that I'm not out going out and buying
some more containers and be able to remove this label so that you can
actually see what's inside and I can just create new labels for them myself
so I was able to get this big label off of here and reuse the containers for our
cereal and I just went ahead and made some new labels and slapped them on
there with some tape and now these sit on my pantry shelf and I think they kind
of look like those glass mason jars but I didn't have to pay anything extra I
just reused but I already had in the home and save myself $15 because I went
to Target and Walmart yesterday and was pricing these glass containers like this
and they're about twelve to fifteen dollars so this is a really
budget-friendly way to store your cereal is just to reuse containers that you
already have so as far as the process goes of how to remove the labels all I
did was I soaked the container in really hot water for 20 minutes and then I just
scrubbed as much of that sticker off as I could and what I was left with was a
sticky residue on the container so then what I did was I drive the container off
and I sprayed a little bit of this goog on it's probably backwards for y'all but
it's googan I got it at Walmart for a few dollars and a little bit of the
stuff goes a long way so you don't need a whole lot but I just sprayed that onto
the sticky residue that was left and took a rag and old rag that I don't use
for anything else and just got the rest of that sticky residue off and then
after I was done with that I washed the container with soap and water to get all
of the the Google oil off and it just it came out perfectly like there was
nothing left on the container no sticky residue left at all and it just it came
out exactly how I had hoped so I just wanted to hop on real quick and tell you
guys how I got the sticky residue off of containers so that you can reuse stuff
that you already have and you don't have to go out and buy something new so
before you go out to the store just look around your house and try to find
something that you can reuse and save yourself some money so I do get asked
about these labels all the time and I decided to go ahead and just put them on
my Etsy shop so I will leave a link below to that if y'all want some of
these labels and I do customized them so they come the label is the same and all
I do is I just customize what you want them to say and they come in a sheet of
six like that and that's the one that I just cut out right here but they come in
a sheet of six and then I will just customize into whatever y'all want them
to say and I send you the sheet so all you have to do is just cut them out
throw some tape on the back of there and just put them on whatever you want to
label so I'll go ahead and leave a link to that below and I will be back here
hopefully tomorrow with another quick homemaking tip but that's it for today
and I'll see you guys tomorrow bye
