Today on Math Hacks, I am showing you the fastest easiest and simplest ways to simplify square roots, so

Roll up your sleeves grab a pencil and paper because we are solving five problems in five minutes

Now the fastest way to simplify square roots is always to look for

Perfect square factors of your number. So we're looking at this square root of 45 here

And the first thing that I notice is that 9 is a factor of 45

So to begin we're going to split

45 into it's two factors, which is 9 times 5

Now something handy you can do is you can rewrite this as

two separate roots

So this is the same as the square root of 9 times the square root of 5

Now once you see this, you may realize that the square root of 9 is 3

And because 5 is prime we can't take the square root of it and get a whole number

So we're just going to leave it as square root 5

All right, and before you know it there you go you've simplified square root 45 into 3 square root 5

Now let's take a trickier number how about something larger like the square root of 216 now this number it may not be as obvious

what factors it has and if any of those factors are perfect squares

So you could just one guess and check here and try to see if the perfect squares go into it

But I want to show you a technique

That is really quick and simple and what you're going to do here is you're going to use a factor tree

Now we've got the complete prime factorization here so you can think of this as

2 cubed times 3 cubed

because we have

Three 2s that we'll multiply together and three threes that we'll multiply together to get

216

One a little trick you can do here is because we are looking for the square root

I'm actually gonna instead of writing it as 2 cubed when I write it is 2 squared times 2

2 to the first but off to write the 1 and

I'm gonna do the same thing with 3. I'm gonna write it as 3 squared times 3

Now that looks a little bit funny but it's actually gonna make it really easy when we go back over to the square roots

And just like in our first example here we can go ahead and split this into separate routes

Now two squared and 3 squared we can simplify they become 2

& 3

Then our last step now is to go ahead and multiply like terms together so that means

2 times 3 here is going to get multiplied together and then the square root of 2 and the square root of 3 can be

multiplied together

When I do that I get 6

square root 6

Once again, I'm going to

Break 28 into two convenient factors. I know that 7 times 4 is 28 and because 4 is a perfect square

that is a great set of factors to simplify 28 into

Once again, we can break these into two separate routes

Now I notice that I have two 7s here. So I'm actually going to combine those back into a square one square root

Conveniently, both of these can be simplified and we get seven times

two

And go ahead and multiply those together so the answer to this one is 14

Now for this example, the quickest way to get started here is to rewrite this as one square root

So whenever you're working with multiplication or division

You can choose to separate the square root or put it together. This is the same as the square root of 72 divided by two

This is really handy because if I divide 72 by two I get the square root of 36

In the square root of 36 is of course six

Our first step is to split it into convenient factors just like we've been doing

Next I can choose to split all of these values into separate square roots

I'm gonna take the square root of whatever I can

There we go, so our square root of 18 over 25 becomes 3 square root 2 over 5, I

I hope that gave you a good feel for the different types of techniques you can use to simplify square roots

Remember that there is no one-size-fits-all

Some techniques just work better with certain numbers than others but they basically all boil down to the same idea

You're looking for those hidden perfect squares and when you find them you can reduce by them

Job Interview Guide: Essential Job Search Steps To Land YOUR Dream Job - Duration: 5:02.

I am Marat from EMMOTION, HR Professional, Career Strategist and Coach and today we'll

go through the essential tips to make YOUR job search successful.

Job search tools might vary a lot depending on a country you live in.

But here are the job search strategies which are completely universal and which will make

your job search more productive, less tedious and hopefully even enjoyable.

Research the Right Jobs and Companies Start by defining your goals, which is your

preferred role, industry, type of the company, whether you are willing to relocate for the

role.

Create your target list, with the companies, job functions and responsibilities that you

are interested in.

This target list should also match with your background, experience and interests.

Be as specific as you can, you could start with 10 concrete companies with the concrete

roles that you think would be a match with your profile.

2. Prepare a strong CV.

A strong resume does wonders for job search and for your chances of making it to the interview

stage.

Your CV should be organized and easy to read, 2 pages long maximum.

You could also have a couple versions of it, and adjusted to the areas you would like to

emphasize.

Depending on the job you are applying for.

3. Use Networking to get to the desired role.

According to statistics at least 60% of all jobs are found by networking.

Use your personal and professional connections, develop contacts through friends, family,

neighbors, university alumni.

Anyone who might help generate information, to identify opportunities in your target companies

list.

You may be surprised by the amount of people they might know.

Contacting recruitment agencies expands the reach of your job search.

LinkedIn is also a great tool for making professional connections and connecting to your target

group.

Tell people how they could help you.

This may sound a little self-serving, but in networking environment it's acceptable

to let people know what is it you are looking for.

4.

Stay focused and eliminate distractions.

Looking for a job is a full time job itself, the only way to get it done is by staying

focused and by minimizing distractions around you.

This means: No TV, no Social Media, the phone use at a bare minimum, sticking to your "to-do

list".

Also getting out of the home environment will be very helpful.

Traditionally your home is place where you relax and take care of personal tasks.

So finding a proper and dedicated workspace for your search will help very much.

5.

Get Your Interview Basics Ready Once you start applying successfully you'll

obviously land your first interviews.

Think ahead and prepare at least the basics necessary for your interviews.

Like practicing the possible job interview questions and answers, preparing your interview

attire and putting together your professional portfolio, if necessary.

Also practice by tellling your resume story.

6.

Stay optimistic and motivated

When you've been on the job hunt for some time, every rejection can feel crushing.

Hearing nothing at all can create just as much frustration, especially you've put

so much effort to tailor your applications to each position.

Use your spare time to do things you've always wanted to do "if only you had time…"

Like getting in shape, reading that book, taking that class and learning something new,

spending time with your friends and family.

Anything to help you feel good about yourself.

Exercising and eating healthy will help to keep your spirits and your energy level high.

Aside from being essential to your mental state, keep in mind that no one wants to hire

someone who is sad or negative.

Nobody said that job hunting was easy.

It's a process that needs your full attention, persistence and patience, the only way for

you to be successful.

The more diverse your job-hunting strategies are, the more opportunities you'll discover

and the greater is the chance of landing the job you really want.

Antaroth's Abyss - Guide - Duration: 20:37.

Hi guys, Other here and welcome to Antaroth's Abyss dungeon guide, but first I am gonna

make pancakes!

Now when that is done, let's start with first boss.

First boss appearance wise is similar to Nagas from Island of Down.

He also shares a lot of similarities with bosses from "Kalivan's Dreadnaught" and "Saravash's Ascent".

If you have a hard time telling if the boss is enraged or not, you can look at

his HP bar, when the bat is flashing RED, he is enraged.

Now, the first boss has 6 normal attacks that can be i-framed or blocked.

Attack 1,

Attack 2,

Attack 3,

Attack 4,

Attack 5

and Attack 6

Now, let's move to his special attacks, and he has 4 of them.

First one is AoE, which means that he hits everyone around him.

Getting hit by this attack will knock you down.

This can be i-framed.

Second one is TANK only attack, and with this attack he pushes tank back.

Third one is small circle that he puts on one of the party members, this attack can be blocked or i-framed.

Fourth attack is basic „In-Out".

Now there are 2 variants of this attack.

To know which one of these two variants boss will use, you need to pay attention to his backstep.

Which means if he backsteps, he will do an outer AoE followed by Inner AoE.

If the Boss doesn't backstep he will do an inner AoE followed by an outer AoE.

Next we have 4 key mechanic.

" Ice patch, Delete this ,Massive In-Out and Double AoE. "

First key mechanic is "Ice patch".

The way it works is boss targets one of the party members with small red circle that is

filling up.

After the circle fills up, which is really fast , "Ice patch" will appear.

Now, you need to place that "Ice Patch" away from the boss, however not too far away, because

you will need it for "Delete This" mechanic. Which I will explain now.

Second mechanic Delete This starts when text „Your flesh will be deleted„ appears

on the screen. The boss will first do wide AoE attack that needs to be i-framed.

If you fail to i-frame this you will be knocked into the air unable to move.

He will follow this up with a "Fire Breath" at the furthest target.

The targetted person will be the one with secondary aggro, this person needs to go in the

"Ice Patch" and let the "Ice Patch" stack to 3 before the boss shoots his laser.

If someone didn't manage to i-frame this, they will be the target.

However if everyone managed to i-frame this attack, the target will probably be the healer.

"Fire Breath" is just the heavy hitting laser attack, and can be mitigated.

Well geared classes with damage reducing moves like warrior, will most likely be able to

facetank this laser during enrage.

Lancers can use divine protection or guardian barrier to block for teammates who got knocked

up or didn't reach the Ice Patch in time.

In hard mode, he does two lasers back to back instead of one.

Pro tip: Confident healer should make sure to move away from the boss while i-frameing

the AoE.

The healer should grab the secondary aggro so all the dps have free back time on the boss

Third key mechanic is Massive in-Out.

This mechanic depends on bosses enrage status.

First part of this mechanis is whole map AoE attack that needs to be i-framed.

Second part is the in-out mechanic.

So, if the boss is enraged it will be: Big AoE, Inner AoE, Outer Aoe.

If the boss is not enraged it will be: Big AoE, Outer Aoe, Inner AoE.

However de damage here is minimal, and it's very hard to I-frame, so even if you take

the damage, you will be fine.

Fourth and final key mechanic for the first boss is called Double AoE.

For this mechanic boss will put a circle around every party member, dps needs to stack on

each other while tank moves back from the boss.

Healers can stack wherever they want.

While you are inside of circle boss will do AoE outside of circle.

Ater that AoE is finished you need to i-frame out of circle, because boss will do AOE in it.

Second boss of this dungeon is same type as the first boss of "Forsaken Island".

Second boss has 4 normal attacks.

First attack is swipes!

He will do a left slash followed by a right slash and then he does swipe attack

There are 4 variants of swipe, which depend on his HP bar status.

Variant 1: If his HP is above 50% he will only do left side swipe.

Variant 2: If his HP is below 50% he will do left swipe followed by right swipe.

Variant 3: If his HP is above 50% he will only do right side swipe.

Variant 4: If his HP is below 50% he will do right swipe followed by left swipe.

You can easily notice this by looking at his shoulders.

Second attack is Two Slash attacks followed by a Stab attack and a Wave attack.

Now there are 2 variants of this attack!

He will either start this attack chain with left slash attack or right slash attack.

Rest of the attack is always same.

Getting his by this attack gives you a debuff, which can be cleansed, so don't worry about it.

Third attack is very similar to his second attack.

Boss will do Right Slash, followed by 2 left slashes and cross attack.

Fourth and the final normal attack of Second boss is aslo similar to 2nd and 3rd attack,

however for this attack he will do two right slashes, then he will turn to DPS and do sword

smash with his right sword and follow it up with shockwave.

Second boss has five special attacks.

First special attack is Circles into Outer Donut.

The boss will put circles on everyone.

Those circles will then slightly disappear and then reappear again.

After they reapper again, you need to you need to i-frame and then get close to the boss

because he will follow up by an outer AoE circle.

Getting hit by the first circle will stun you, this is followed by the boss targeting that person.

This can be avoided if the healer is quick on cleansing.

Second special attack is Stun Blast.

The boss will aim with both of his swords down and then smash them into the ground to

put a big stun AoE around himself.

This AoE will hit tank in front of the boss and DPS behind the boss.

If you fail to i-frame this you will be stunned and the boss will then target you.

However the stun can be cleansed by healer.

Third special attack is Sword tornado.

The boss will lower his swords and then start spinning.

This can be blocked and iframed.

Fourth special attack is Jump into Wawe.

The boss will jump at a party member, stunning whoever gets hit by the jump.

Then he will do a wave attack targeting the person he originally jumped at.

Which means if that person has gone behind the boss he will spin.

Target should stay in front of the boss to avoid turning him.

Wave has huge hitbox, which means that the wave will hit DPS behind the boss.

Pro tip: Healers should always be prepared to cleanse the stun received by the Jump,

and to cleanse bleed efect coused by wave attack, and after that to heal the party members.

Fifth and final special attack is Random Wave.

The boss will put secondary aggro on one of the DPS or the healer and then he will attack

them with a Wave attack.

This puts a cleansable debuff on the people who got hit.

Second boss has only one Key Attack, and it's called Debuffs.

Now the boss really does have one key mechanic, however it isn't a simple one.

Let's start.

Boss will from time to time perform an attack that gives a debuff.

This attack MUST hit a party member or he will immediately wipe whole party, however if

you take 2 stacks of this debuff you immediately die.

Before you start the boss, assign each person a number from 1 to 5.

Each time the boss does this mechanic, have the corresponding player take the debuff while

everyone else i-frames it.

Repeat this in order, so that one person is taking the debuff on every mechanic.

If people are down, it's ok to take the hit while you already have the debuff.

Yes you will die, but the boss won't wipe whole party.

He signals this mechanic by saying "Sacrificial Target Selected". After he says this, he gains

a colored puddle ( Red or Blue ) effect under his feet.

Pay attention to this to figure out where to stand!

If the puddle is Red, he's going to attack in a circle around him with the debuff.

Everyone needs to get out to dodge, except the cursetaker who stays in.

If the puddle is Blue, he's going to attack a large donut around him with the debuff.

Everyone stays in and continues dps, except the cursetaker who runs out to

take damage.

In hard mode: He does this more often as you lower his HP.

Below 20% he can do it so fast that people have to suicide because everyone can have the debuff.

In normal mode: Frequency of this is quite forgiving, it's possible to even rotate it

between 4 people instead of all 5.

Third boss of this dungeon is the hardest one.

Several of his attacks grant Mana Burst debuff.

This debuff gives you 4% more damage taken per every stack, up to 5 stacks.

Debuff persists even after death.

When boss' HP drops below 50%, he will get 5 minute debuff.

This debuff is basically wipe timer, because if it expires Antaroth gets impossibly high attack

and attack speed.

This is Hard Mode only.

Third boss has 5 normal attacks.

First attack is Two Upwards Sword Slashes.

Second attack is One Upwards Sword Slash.

Third attack is Two Downwards Sword Slashes.

Fourth attack is Sword slash from above.

and fifth attack is Blue Ball.

Third boss has 5 special attacks.

First attack is Jump.

There are 2 type of this attack, either jump on primary aggro, or jump at secondary aggro.

If you get hit by this jump, you need to be cleansed, if not boss will do spin attack

and kill you.

Getting hit by either of these attacks stacks Mana Burst.

Second attack is Front hammer into Back hammer.

Boss eyes will flash red for a second.

This attack is not blockable or i-framable and getting hit by it stuns.

If someone was hit yet wasn't cleansed of the stun, boss will do spin attack.

Both hammer hit attack and spin attack stacks Mana Burst.

Third attack is Two up, Two up, Back hammer.

Same as second attack, just that it it only hits one to the back.

This attack stacks Mana Burst.

Fourth attack is special Blue Ball.

(Hard Mode and Normal Mode are different). There are 3 seperate beam throw mechanics

in hard mode.

The first one is the simplest, he gives secondary aggro to the furthest target, holds the orb

out to them, then throws a beam at them.

The second one is identical to the first one, but it's a resurrection proc.

If anyone tries to cast resurrect (resurrection scrolls count!) he can target them with secondary

aggro, hold out the orb, and toss a beam.

These can be casted back to back, which will really hard for healers.

The third one is random Blue Balls.

He turns to a random target, also that target will not revice secondary aggro.

He faces this target, holds out the orb, punches, then tosses a beam at them.

In normal mode there is no resurrect proc.

However he will still target the furthest player with secondary aggro, hold out an orb,

and throw a beam at them.

Instead of random Blue Balls from HM, in NM he will always target the tank.

This attack stacks Mana Burst on the beam.

Fifth attack is Teleport back.

He teleports back and uses either Front hammer into Back hammer, or Spin.

If someone is hit by hammers and not cleansed, the boss uses spin attack.

Every hit of these stacks Mana Burst.

Third boss has 7 Key Attacks. First one is Mana Burst.

When "Dispersing collected mana!" appears on the screen

Antaroth will do whole room AoE attack that can not be i-framed.

This attack deals 30k flat damage per stack of Mana Burst on targets.

It also applies a nasty MP reducing debuff which needs to be cleansed fast.

This attack cleanses all stacks of Mana Burst.

Second one is Red Magic.

Boss charges up his sword and then does a series of 4 attacks:

Thrust – This attack can be blocked and i-framed. Applies Mana Burst.

Spin – This attack can not be blocked but it can be i-framaed.

Applies Mana Burst and heavy bleed effect that can be cleansed.

Half circle blast – This attack can not be i-framed, it deals lethal damage.

Series of AOEs – Which is Hard Mode only attack.

This attack can not be i-framed, hits for 100% of targets HP.

This attack can be survived with shields.

There are two versions of this series.

Version 1: Thrust, clockwise Spin, Half blast on bosses left side, AOEs from in to out.

Version 2: Thrust, counter clockwise Spin, Half blast on bosses right side, AOEs from out to in.

One of ways to avoid this, is to be far away from the boss.

At least 25-30 meters.

This attack is used below 90% of boss' HP.

Third one is Expanding puddles.

Boss will summon 3 expanding puddles (5 if it's a hard mode), which deal high amount of

damage with their edges.

This you need to I-frame towards center of puddles, or run away.

It's a good idea to stand closer to boss so no puddle spawns directly on you.

This attack can not be blocked, and it is used under 75% of the bosses HP.

Fourth one is No Escape.

(This is Hard Mode only mechanic). Boss will call out "Escape option disabled."

After that he will cast AOEs on every party member.

Getting hit by this AoE applies long stun debuff to player that is hit and creates a

small breakable cage around them.

These aoes are followed by several medium damage room-wide attaks, which can not be

I-framed!

Tanks can block these attacks and provide 70% damage reduction to nearby party members.

This attack is used below 80% of bosses HP.

Fifth one is Light and Dark.

Boss will call out "Enter your final words now."

Immediately after boss will teleport to middle of room and start casting room wide wipe attack.

5 orbs get summoned on edges of room, 3 Light and 2 Dark and each player will get a debuff:

2 Light and 3 Dark.

Players are able to deal damage to opposite color of their debuff.

Breaking an orb grants a invincibility buff to one nearby player, use this to survive

attack he's casting.

Destroy the orb when runes start to appear on the spell circle.

Lancers can skip this mech for whole party by using both Guardian's Barrier and Divine Protection at the end of it.

This attack is used below 70% of bosses HP.

Sixth one is Attack of the clones.

Boss will call out "Patience not found.", and then players will get slow debuff on them,

ater that boss will teleport to middle of the room, and summon 2 clones.

All 3 will teleport in sequence to outer circle of the room, and will either

use small Spin, or Blue Ball random attack.

These attacks apply Mana Burst.

If he teleports to entrance and away from giant portal, he will use Spin.

If he teleports to giant portal thing and away from entrance, he will use Blue Ball throw.

Clones will follow soon after him with same attack as main body used.

This attack is only used below 50% of boss' HP.

Seventh one is Cage with shield.

(This is Hard Mode only mechanic) After boss calles out out "Prepare to be deleted."

He will teleport to middle of room while slowing down each player.

He will cast cage soon after and get a shield.

Each player will get one of 3 debuffs: Red, Blue, Yellow.

Players need to look at their debuff and take slice of same color to refresh their debuff,

if not they will die after it expires.

Boss will cast these slices 3 times and taking slice of same color deals 34% of player's

HP, so healer needs to heal the party during cage.

Boss will also get shield up during this cage, and you need to deal enough damage to him down

to break it, if not he will cast 4th slice and wipe the party.

This attack is only used below 40% of the boss.

While making this video, I used some material from essentialmana.com , so make sure to visit the page.

Eternity • S01E17 • TPN's Angel Guide - Duration: 12:58.

I think I had a bit of a breakthrough when

writing this review.

Previously I'd found Eternity an entirely annoying blip in a pretty good back-half a

decent season of Angel.

An episode that again leans into noirish-ness-ness with mixed results and then ends with a baffling

sequence featuring an ultimately anti-climactic return of what could be the greatest Big Bad

from Buffy.

But...on closer examination I think there were a few things I was forgetting.

101

Summary Angel and Wes are attending the opening night

of Cordy's performance of Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House.

She's playing Nora who in the climax of the play, which takes place in the late 1800s,

gives up her husband, money, and reputation in order to get away and find herself.

A fitting role for Cordelia.

This opening is a pretty good bit as Wesley and Angel, who have faced horror itself are

in agony through Cordy's performance.

And I do love the verbal dodges that Wesley and Angel invent on the walk home with her.

"Was I any good?"

"I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it."

"You took the role and made it your own."

During the walk Cordy spies starlet Rebecca Lowell emerging from a hot spot.

There's a creepy looking car up the street.

Evil people always drive dodgy looking american muscle cars.

Angel heroes it up and Rebecca comes over to thank him.

When Cordy tells her that Angel doesn't even know who she is, I love the miniscule

look of delight on her face.

It sells the experience of total loss of public anonymity so well.

And I was reminded of the story I saw in which Michael Jackson paid a group of actors to

fill a grocery store and ignore him so that he could experience what it was like to grocery

shop alone.

It's a life that redefines what normal is, important later in this episode when questioning

motivations.

Rebecca shows up in Angel's office later and shares scary notes with him that have

been written in blood.

201

8:00 "It's not blood."

- "How do you know?"

He turns down the job and Cordy goes all Cordy about it.

"He can't help one defenseless actress from a psycho."

"He likes her."

Later that night at Rebecca's place Rebecca is attacked by a stalker and Angel fights

him off.

I'm actually not sure how Angel got into her home without an invitation.

None was given in their previous two scenes together but whatever.

The stalker runs off and Rebecca sees Angel doesn't have a reflection and realizes what

he is.

Her agent comes by and hugs her.

13:30 "I love you kiddo."

His wording of kiddo, meant to be assurance that don't worry - you're not getting

older, is actually tacit endorsement of the idea that it is a problem for women in Hollywood

to age.

Angel stays behind and Rebecca's curiosity puts Angel at ease.

Cordy is shocked that Angel took th e case and Wes makes an important point:

16:00 W: Angel's moment of true happiness happened because he was with Buffy.

Do you realize how rare that is.

True happiness?

This is an important restatement of the idea that Angel's curse is not tied to sex but

to the feelings of intimacy and closeness Angel felt for Buffy.

I've mentioned previously how, the way Surprise was cut, it seemed clear to me that it was

the post coital bliss with someone he was in love with that brought about Angel's

moment of perfect happiness.

Which Wesley more or less confirms here.

Rebecca takes Angel to a play as her body guard and when they slip out the back they're

attacked again.

Angel beats the attacker senseless and it turns out the stalker and the whole deal were

ploys by her agent to get her some free press.

"Nobody stays young forever."

- *eye massaging Angel.

Rebecca takes Cordy out to get information about Angel's history.

She reveals a bit too much and Rebecca heads to Casa De Angel.

She asks him to interlink arms with her which works as a symbol of their shared desires

revealed throughout the episode, along with Rebecca's desire to become like him.

When he's away for a moment she drugs him and

R: A toast.

To the end of an ending and the beginning of a beginning.

*Picard facepalm

Cordy realizes what she's done and warns Wesley AND…

401

This scene is the reason I originally hated this episode.

Not for anything that came before.

This scene.

And, in an interview with Fandom.com, Tim Minear acknowledged that the scene was contentious

for fans.

Quote "I know there was a lot of criticism on

the Internet about the way Angel went bad, and did he really go bad?

The idea of giving Angel a variation of ecstasy—to me, that just worked.

I thought it was a really good way to bring Angelus into the series so that he could interact

with our characters for a moment, without doing some big 'Angel has turned evil'

arc.

You sort of get to have your cake and eat it too in that episode."

Except for me, as a fan, the trite simplistic nature of the phrase, "have your cake and

eat it too," very well encapsulates my original frustration with this episode.

Let's have a quick primer shall we?:

*Angelus montage

Angelus was never cake, he was the entire meal, and arguably one of the greatest Big

Bad's from all seven seasons of Buffy.

Angel's turn in Season 2 was my hook for Buffy the show.

The point at which I knew I was completely in.

The moment Buffy turned to Giles and said, "You must be so disappointed in me," I

realized me watching the rest of the series was no longer under my control.

I'd never before seen a show have one of the good guys turn in such a way and wreak

such painful genuine emotional havok on both the series protagonist and the audience.

To have him return in this fashion didn't feel to me like cake.

It felt cheap.

Too easy.

A titan summoned by one-off character that didn't even make the episode's final scene.

And to build up the rarity of actual true happiness as this transcendental thing that

is beyond sexual intimacy only to undercut that with a physiological shortcut in this

episode felt head snapping.

401

To say nothing of the confusing modification it made to the lore.

DRUGS?

So...within the language of the curse...the soul...which we've established is an actual

supernatural thing with essence can be...put on pause...when the host is given a physiological

experience of true happiness rather than an actual spiritual experience of it?

That's what appears to be happening if Angel's soul doesn't actually leave him.

A pause button.

It can't just be the ecstacy.

Angel has admitted to sharing the evil desires of Angelus but to suggest the that the ecstasy

is only bringing forward the things that Angel finds pleasurable is to suggest that the only

thing Angel finds pleasurable are evil and murderous.

As opposed to art, philosophy, music, or love.

The soul is the moral compass and Angel's is clearly absent in these scenes.

BUT...here's the breakthrough I had when watching the episode this time.

YES.

The drug loophole is dumb.

But the curse was ALREADY stupid.

"If this - this girl - brings him even one minute of happiness.

That is one minute too much."

Blame Uncle Gypsy stereo-type.

For my original rant on Angel's big dumb curse checkout my review on Innocence at about

the 6:37 mark.

But in short, building a loophole into a punishment for an evil being that turns them evil again,

and then not telling them that, is not a smart plan and got Uncle Gypsy Stereotype and Ms

Calendar killed for how poorly thought out it was to begin with.

But all of us fans ultimately let that go.

And why is that?

*Buffy good montage

The truth of it is, Angelus was never interesting in Buffy's second season for his character.

Certainly not like Spike and Drusilla.

Angelus was interesting for what he revealed about Buffy.

"No weapons.

No friends.

No hope.

Take all that away and what's left?"

"Me.''

We're all watching to make emotional connection.

And it's something Whedon acknowledged.

He'd gladly sacrifice plotting to get to an emotional truth.

And when he DID in Innocence we promptly moved past Uncle's stupidity.

Because what's important is the poetry's resonance.

So...okay.

Fine.

Drug pause button loophole.

Bring it on.

I now understand what I'm really here for Eternity.

As long as you keep finding ways to make me feel all the things, so be it.

Rebecca has drugged Angel with a drug that induces bliss.

In the moment when the drug is beginning to take over Boreanaz I noticed for the first

time that he actually cries when speaking of how much he missed warmth and intimacy

with someone else.

A beautiful expression of the toll his emotional balancing act has taken on him.

31:16

The scene the follows is actually nicely horrifying.

Angelus returns briefly and terrifies everyone, sharing Angel's inner reflections that politeness

and civility, you might say his soul, had kept at bay.

Angel strikes at Wesley's feelings of inadequacy

"You're just inadequate,"

And Cordy's fear that the life she thinks she wants is not the one she's made for.

"You were truly terrible."

I think it's kind of brilliant how Cordy then baits Angel into hesitating with a wonderful

performance so that Wesley can be the one to overpower him, tackling him into the elevator

for a brutal and awesome stunt.

And in the final scene our core three have their emotional catharsis.

"But I really didn't mean," "Yeah you did."

"Wesley, nice moves up there."

Ahhh there's some of the feels.

501

Analysis In that interview with Fandom.com I mentioned

earlier, Tim Minear did point out something interesting.

As we've talked about, Angel was originally intended to be an anthology series.

A case of the week format.

But the writers quickly realized that it was going to be difficult to create sympathy for

a character every week that was only going to be around for one episode.

Slowly the writer's began focusing more on the regulars as the emotional core of the

show and you can definitely see that evolution in Eternity.

The episode opens with a focus on Rebecca but she isn't even around for the final

scene.

Continuing with the trend of this first season, Rebecca's character is very much a film

noir staple, the white-dwarf starlet.

Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard.

Jane Hudson in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane.

And my favorite, Betty Boop in Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

"Work's been kinda slow since cartoon's went to color.

But I still got it Eddie."

"Yeah.

You still got it."

One of the consequences for me of this first season leaning so hard into these classic

storytelling devices is some fatigue and I felt a bit of that during the first half of

Eternity.

Without demeaning it's cultural relevance, Rebecca's struggle is one we've seen so

many times that the details of it aren't interesting in and of itself.

What's interesting is the way in which the writer's interplay those elements with Angel's

supernatural side and see what comes of the genre bending but Eternity feels like it takes

a little bit of time to get going.

And watching this episode made me realize how part and parcel the LA/Hollywood lifestyle

stories are with the noir slant the show started with.

As well as how tedious I find the La La Land tales.

Too meta.

Too up it's own butt.

"I came out to here to find my dreams but they weren't hiring."

See she's an actress on a show where she wants to be actress.

Get it?

Still, there's some fun material here, especially emotionally once I could see past the curse.

Angel initially keeping himself at a distance from Rebecca for the sake of the curse is

good stuff.

It shows that that storm is always on the horizon for him.

And his then keeping track of her anyway is a revealing moment of his character . Heroic

but stalkery.

Think Becoming Part 1 and Pangs.

The few moments of vulnerability Angel was allowed actually landed for me.

15:17 You're really not afraid?

I like how Rebecca's lack of fear initially plays against Angel's inner hatred.

"If this woman doesn't fear my demon than...maybe...maybe I don't have to hate it so much."

It also sets up the crushing disappointment for later.

There's some nice interplay between Rebecca's character and his along with some mirror symbolism

that never forms into a complete thought for me.

Rebecca and Angel both desire solitude and isolation and are kindred in that way.

The turning point in their relationship comes when the two of them are looking into a mirror.

Rebecca has them interlock arms, another visual of the way she thinks they mirror each other.

But maybe the fact that the mirror imagery never does really does reveal any particular

truth is the point.

Rebecca thinks the monster in the mirror is her aging form.

She ends up saying outright the mistake she makes with Angel.

"They think that I'm the character I play.."

And Angelus shows her what a monster actually looks like.

In the end I was able to strip away my own biases and have some fun with Eternity.

It is at times a little tedious and on the nose but there is some good stuff here.

The show's evolution this first season is coming along as the emphasis continues to

shift to character arcs over single episode plots.

The first time I watched it seemed like there was going to be a straightforward but enjoyable

through line to the end of the season.

And then…

Noturnall - Unplugged Road Life - Episode 01 - Last Wish/Georgia Guide Stones/Mobile Recording - Duration: 14:15.

Well, Noturnall is here at the Georgian Guidestones,

in the United States.

And we have come to portray

something that served as inspiration for our third record, "9",

for an interesting reason.

These mysteries that surround human beings,

and when a certain group of people

come together in favor of a set of ideas

for changing the world.

That's exactly what our band does, is what we've got here:

some commandments, so to speak, from a group of people

who believe in the Age of Reason,

and those guys didn't want to be identified,

we can't know who settled these rocks.

The guy's name is R. C. Christian,

and it says to be a pseudonym.

Much is speculated about who were those people.

This tech label says they are people

who pursue the Age of Reason.

That's exactly what Noturnall seeks inside music.

And here at these stones, which inspired us in that matter,

there's this case of an age mostly driven by reason.

There are several commandments,

all of them are quite reasonable,

commandments that one is likely to agree with mostly.

But there's one that draws attention,

the first one, a shocking start:

We should not maintain humanity

above 500,000,000 inhabitants.

Considering we are currently about 7,000,000,000 people worldwide,

imagine what these guys have in mind

so that the world shouldn't exceed 500,000,000 people.

There are four plaques,

with a central one on top holding them,

eight different languages saying these commandments,

and there is also several geographic features.

They wanted to do something similar

to the Greek and Egyptian people,

who had this thing.

For example, the hole on the center of this rock,

you can check over the Sun as it reaches solstice.

Then you have the spots

where the sunlight passes and draws

where the Sun is going through the year

so you can tell the month you're in.

It's a totally enigmatic monument.

It's really...

a jaw-dropping thing.

You have to be here to realize

what is this feeling

that you get around here.

And of course, these are granite rocks,

they retain energy in a way that is different from other rocks.

Just by being here, you get this freak sensation.

We made some live sound here today,

with IK Multimedia equipment.

We decided to caputre it for real,

in order to try to bring into your house

what we felt when we were playing here.

It was really amazing,

one of the most unique feelings I've had in my life.

Well, we are here in the first episode

of a five-episode series from Noturnall with IK Multimedia.

I'm Fernando Quesada, Noturnall's bass and acoustic guitar,

and I'm here today to talk about

the mobile studio and mobile recording,

which works as a studio you can take everywhere.

In our case, we are traveling with Noturnall around Tennessee,

the cradle of rock and country music,

where we're shooting five videoclips

in some really cool touristic and historical spots.

We're also going to talk about these touristic spots,

the history and culture of country, blues and rock music.

And of course, we'll talk about how we made these records

since it's something different from the usual,

to be able, without socket, electricity and all of that,

to record more than 10 channels like we did, with drums included.

Our formation was drums, two acoustic guitars,

one of the songs had an acoustic bass,

plus lead vocals and two backing vocals.

That's a list of several channels,

to be mobile recorded.

And for that, we've got equipment from IK Multimedia,

which is today's most enabling brand for this kind of recording,

not only for the hardware we have here,

but also for the software and applications,

whether for iPad, iPhone, as also for computer.

You may see I'm using both laptop and iPad,

and I also use iPhones when recording.

I'll explain on this first episode a little about the setup

that we chose for these recordings,

so we can understand what equipment we'll use,

and if you've got a band, if you're an artist

and intend to go out there making your own records,

I'm sure this is the best choice

for the quality and the functionality

in your recordings.

So, let's introduce our setup.

Here I'll talk about interfaces,

about microphones,

softwares and appications,

supports and monitors, OK?

Basically that's what we use on a complete recording.

We've got the laptop here, which we use as our workstation,

so we take everyting we recorded from other devices

and place them inside a DAW.

The monitors, as you see we are in-house,

when we travel to make a mobile record,

usually we are hosted in a hotel, a house or apartment,

and we are able to set it up as a little work base,

where we can use it like a home studio,

for organizing the ideas after we are back from recording,

backup files, listen to how it sounds and so on,

so you organize things the best you can.

Here I've got the iLoud monitors,

they're from IK Multimedia too.

These ones are considered the smallest monitors

with the best studio definition currently available in the market.

They are really good monitors,

they've got a very good volume for monitoring

and checking the quality for real.

And when in mobile recording, for mixing and mastering,

you can also use them as your reference.

I'm using a computer for this.

Here I've got an iPad,

this iPad here has Amplitube running.

Amplitube is one of the applications we use

both in recording and mixing.

An iKlip, which is a holder to these iPads, sometimes to iPhones.

This one is for iPad, we use it while recording,

also from IK Multimedia.

And here at the center I've got the keyboard.

This keyborad is nice because it's also an interface,

it fits in that category.

In our case, Juninho played with it

and recorded straight on his phone, using SampleTanke,

which is a virtual instrument app also from IK Multimedia,

and plugged it directly in his phone for recording

both MIDI and Audio by using this one,

which is the iRig Keys,

one of the interface keyboards from the brand.

So, basically this is what we used here

in our entire recording:

iLoud reference monitors;

applications such as SampleTank and Amplitube,

which we used both in iPad and iPhone;

the controller keyboard, already as interface;

microphones - lapel, XLR and condenser,

for the acoustic guitars;

and the interfaces,

Pro Duo, HD2 and Pro I/O,

which enabled us to sum enough channels to record drums,

two acoustic guitars, acoustic bass,

and three vocals.

So, in the next episodes, you'll check out

how was the plugging of all this equipment,

and get the best out of your sound.

Bow Tie Guide - History, Styles, Quality Hallmarks & All You Need To Know About Bow Ties - Duration: 18:17.

Welcome back to the Gentleman's Gazette and our Bow Tie guide!

We discuss the history of bow ties, the different styles, the different options, how you wear

one, what you have to pay attention to and anything else you ever wanted to know about

bow ties.

Bow ties today are worn by people from all walks of life.

Even famous people in the past have worn them, such as actors Fred Astaire or Marlene Dietrich,

politicians like Winston Churchill, architects like Le Corbusier, scientists like Bill Nye

and lots of other people.

In my experience many men avoid bow ties because they don't think they can pull one off, they

don't know how to tie one or they think they don't have the occasion to wear one.

The truth is every man can pull off a bow tie and wear it well especially if you like

classic style.

Today, I wear bow ties about 30 percent of the time and has become an integral part of

my wardrobe.

Once you know how to tie them there are many occasions who can wear them at.

Hipsters wear them with just a regular shirt for everyday wear and it doesn't have to be

an evening occasion that's very formal.

Are you not sure how to tie a bow tie please check out this video here.

It has over a million views and has helped many many men tie a bow tie.

Honestly, the video has worked for everyone I've ever talked to except my friend Matt

Sysdek and he lives close enough to me so I can help him when he needs it.

Also if you know the basic way to tie a bow tie, please check out the video about our

advanced styles so you can really refine the look of your bow tie.

Alright now let's talk about the history of the bow tie.

Basically it's one of the oldest form of neck wear in men's wear.

The bow tie shares a history with the necktie in a sense that it originates from a different

piece of neckwear known as the cravat.

The first group of men known to decorate their neck with a piece of fabric were Croatian

mercenaries in the 30 Years War in the 17th century.

It became known as the cravate which is the French term for Croatian.

Cravats were usually worn loosely tied in elaborate fashions and sometimes it took hours

to get the look right.

The first bow tie that look somewhat similar to what we know it to be today came up in

the 1830s.

In the following 30 years, bow ties became progressively more prominent and by the 1860s

the traditional cravat has fallen mostly out of favor.

There's a famous photograph of Abraham Lincoln from 1863 showing the bow tie style in transition.

Lincoln is stoically staring ahead while wearing a black bow tie with pointed ends.

On the other hand his predecessor James Buchanan wore still a white cravat.

Between 1850 and the turn-of-the-century, bow ties dominated menswear and you could

see them mostly in black or white or variations thereof.

The beginning of the 20th century bow ties transitioned more into a specific style choice

because the traditional threefold necktie became more popular now.

Even though they would be progressively less popular now they still maintain their place

in a classic men's wardrobe in the first half of the 20th century.

At the turn of the century bow ties were usually quite small but frankly there were loads of

shapes and forms much more than you can find today.

By 1910 the bow tie had grown a little bit across the board but again there are lots

of choices out there.

In the 30s you'd often see smaller bow ties as well and bigger bow ties.

Generally they weren't quite as slim as later in the 50s or 60s.

However in the late 60s and early 70s bow ties became huge and have probably the biggest

you've ever seen.

It was the same with ties and shirt collars, sometimes also lapels.

By the 1990s and early 2000s, most men would not wear bow ties anymore it was only something

reserved for people who made a deliberate style choice and who wore bow ties because

other men did it.

I would guess that the overall market share of bow ties at that time was about five to

ten percent.

Thankfully bow ties today are not nearly as subjected to trends and they've become much

more mainstream and popular.

I would estimate the market share today to be anywhere between thirty and forty percent.

It seems to me that bow ties are much more flexible than they were in the past.

People wear them sometimes even with short sleeved shirts or just a dress shirt.

It doesn't require a jacket anymore and it's just a form of self-expression.

Despite this gain in popularity there's still some stereotypes that people have towards

wearers with bow ties.

Sometimes people think bow ties are just for nerds or worn by conservatives, eccentrics

or older men.

In my experience, confident men that are stylish wear bow ties simply because they like them

and that's a way for them to express themselves.

That aside it's much more comfortable to wear in the summer because it keeps your chest

a lot cooler than any kind of necktie would.

On top of that, it's very difficult to stain your bow tie with foods, whereas with a tie,

it's very easy to do so.

Of course it has always been a staple in the prep culture and for Ivy style.

So what different types of bow ties can you get?

Basically there's three main categories.

First there are the pre-tied bow ties that are probably the largest share in the market.

Sometimes they also come in a clip-on version and they're really popular with men who simply

don't know how to tie a bow tie and men who don't usually wear one.

There's a simple rule, if you want to be stylish never wear a pre-tied bow tie because it always

shows.

Typically they are made of cheaper, less expensive, often times more shiny fabrics and they are

very symmetrical and it screams my bow tie was pre-tied.

Wearing a pre-tied bow tie makes you look like a 16 year old attending prom and frankly

we believe they shouldn't wear them either.

The second option is the self tie bow tie and as the name implies you tie it yourself

every time.

It seems daunting.

It's the only choice for an elegant gentleman and sometimes you can even find self tie bow

ties that have a little clip on mechanism that allows you to remove it so once you tie

it once you don't have to tie it again.

Personally I think that's not the way to do it because changing the look of your bow tie

every time gives your outfit a different air and sometimes you can decide to have a smaller

bow tie, other times a bigger one depending on your mood.

Among the self tie bow ties there are two subcategories.

For one, there is the adjustable bow tie which is by far the most popular version.

Usually you find them for all kind of day wear bow ties and the great advantage is that

you can simply adjust the size so sometimes you can have a smaller tie other times a bigger

tie and you can even lend it to your father, your brother or friend if they need one and

it'll work for them.

There are all kinds of adjustment mechanisms.

Some include metal clips, others have buttons.

I have all of them and in my experiences they all work.

The other sub category is a fixed-length self-tie bow tie.

So first of all, why would you want to limit yourself to just one size?

Basically for evening wear when you wear wing collars, the entire bow tie is visible and

having a little adjustment mechanism just looks weird and odd.

So what about wearing a tuxedo shirt with a turn down collar?

Well, basically at the end of the evening it's very typical practice to untie the bow

tie and when it dangles there you can still see the adjuster and because of that it's

always advisable to go with a fixed length neck size for evening bow ties.

Because I could never find a nice assortment of evening bow ties with fixed neck sizes,

I simply designed them and you can find all of them in our shop.

We even created a video on how to find the right black evening bow tie for yourself.

Check it out here.

The third category of bow ties our fashion-forward modern bow ties.

For example, with the gaining popularity in recent years we've seen wooden bow ties, we've

seen bow ties made out of bird feathers, as well as leather bow ties.

They're actually not tied they're simply like a clip-on bow tie they just have the shape

of a traditional bow tie.

Most of the time these items are very flashy and I believe it's a fad that won't stand

the test of time.

Of course if you literally want to look like a peacock you can go with them.

Otherwise, I suggest you stay with traditional self tie bow ties.

So what about the different styles and shapes of bow ties?

Basically the sky is the limit and if you look at old men's fashion magazines and books,

you'll see there were hundreds of different shapes around on the market.

Today, it basically boils down to five basic shapes and styles.

The first one is the butterfly shape which is called that way because it resembles a

butterfly.

It works well with the form of the chin and because of that it's very popular.

It's a style I really like for evening bow ties.

The butterfly shape we offer comes in different sizes so please check it out in our shop here.

It's that in a way that the knot is relatively small and you have beautiful wings just like

with a butterfly.

Also while cheaper bow ties curve at the outer edge of the bow tie, a butterfly bow tie will

remain straight edges.

Do you want your butterfly bow tie to stand a test of time?

Avoid the extremes.

Don't go too big, don't go too small and go something within the middle-of-the-road.

Of course if you have a smaller head, a smaller bow tie is much more appropriate for you and

vice versa.

The next popular style is the batwing bow tie which is basically a rectangular that

gets slimmer around the neck band but it makes for a bigger knot.

Because of that it can be harder to tie and in my opinion it sometimes looks a bit boring

but ultimately it's a very personal choice.

The third style of bow tie contains pointed ends.

It's like a little diamond and it has the advantage that it looks slightly different

every time and depending on how much you pull it out on either end the look will be different.

In any case it will always be asymmetrical because the pointed end is in the front on

one side then the back on the other side.

Overall it's a great option for day wear because it creates some form of casualness that's

a little more relaxed all the while being relatively formal.

In my experience it flatters most face shapes and because of that it's a very versatile

option.

The fourth kind of bow ties are very difficult to find today they're asymmetrical bow ties.

Meaning that the ends of the bow tie are not symmetrical either top to bottom or left side

to right side.

It might look really odd when a bow tie is untied but once you tie it, it creates that

desired effect that it's something is slightly askew, not 100% symmetrical and polished.

And in my experience, it's something really people are attracted to who already have lots

of regular bow ties in their closet and who simply want to change the look a little bit

or maybe even impress their other clotheshorse friends.

The 5th style of bow tie is a single end bow tie.

And it's called that way because it has that bow tie shape only on one end.

Once you tie it, it looks very similar to a regular bow tie with the exception that

it's cleaner and crisper because there's simply just one layer of fabric.

This style was popular for a short period in the 1930s especially for evening wear.

And to my knowledge, we're the only place who offers those kind of

bow ties online.

So for a selection head over here now.

And of course if you want to learn how to tie it we did so in our advanced bow tie guide

tutorial.

So when you wear a bow tie keep in mind that it already makes a louder statement than wearing

a regular necktie or no neck tie at all.

And because of that we suggest not to go overboard with super bright pink colors, lobster patterns

or maybe even patchwork bow ties with Madras seersucker and other fabrics because it's

simply over-the-top.

In terms of bow tie materials it's pretty much as varied as it is with ties.

Silk is probably the most popular and widespread material and it comes in all kind of shapes

and weaves.

It comes in shiny silk not so shiny silk, a coarser silk, silks with natural knobs in

them and it's just a wonderful material for bow ties.

However you can also find linen bow ties, cotton bow ties, blended bow ties, as well

as wool bow ties.

Personally I'd stay clear of nylon or polyester bow tie because it's just a lower end cheaper

product that won't look as nice.

Another really great option for bow ties is velvet because it changes the look with the

light and it can look very debonair especially with a dinner jacket.

One thing to keep in mind with bow ties is that a very fine weave that is tighter is

always better, because men usually grow facial hair and the bow tie is much closer to your

hair thus picking on the fabric and if the weave is too loose let's say in the form of

a grenadine you're much more likely to pull threads from your bow tie.

And even if you have a tighter woven silk it's normal to pull out some threads but you

can get rid of those either with a very fine pair of scissors or with a cuticle clipper

for example.

In terms of bow tie sizing, you don't have to worry about it if you get an

adjustable bow tie.

If you get a fixed size bow tie, I suggest to measure your neck because sometimes your

shirt says it's a size 15 when in fact it measures 16 inches or it can say 39 centimeters

and it's in fact 41 centimeters and that will throw the proportions if you get the bow tie.

So when and how should you wear a bow tie?

Basically, the sky's the limit.

You can wear it very formal events, for weddings or garden parties, black tie or white tie

events.

And to learn more, please check out the video on how to pull off the bow tie.

In my experience, there are four tips I would tell anyone who is considering wearing a bow

tie.

The first is always practice tying your bow tie just so you understand how it works even

in a stressful situation because I can't tell you how many grooms have contacted us the

day off trying to understand how to tie your bow tie.

Fortunately we had the video that we could refer them to but it's always a very stressful

situation so practice it when you have the time.

When you're just starting out keep it simple.

Use classic patterns such as small micro patterns or Macclesfield neats.

Maybe avoid the super-loud Paisleys and just work yourself up to that.

Also buy moderately sized bow ties because you can wear them now or 10 years from now

and that will never go out of style.

Four, I think a bow tie looks better when worn with a jacket.

Otherwise, it reminds me more of the little flower boys at weddings where there wear little

dress shirts with the bow ties.

Of course, ultimately the choice is entirely up to you.

So how many bow ties should you own?

Of course the answer is, it depends.

Personally I've probably around 100 or even more.

Other people get away with just three or four.

A general person who's interested in classic men's clothing should probably invest in about

11 of them.

And which ones those are?

You can find out in this video here.

If you're just starting out wearing bow ties, I suggest you invest in a simple black bow

tie that you can wear for evening events.

Go with silk.

And to learn which one is right for you check out this video here.

The second bow tie would be a classic business bow tie, maybe in blue or in red with a smaller

micro pattern that is very easy to combine with lots of items in your wardrobe.

The third bow tie would be a slightly more brighter color that you can wear in summer,

maybe even with seersucker and it's just more of a summery feel.

The fourth bow tie would be a fall bow tie I suggest you get this one in a wool challis.

Simply because it's a great fabric for the fall winter season.

It comes in more subdued colors.

It's a little crisper.

It doesn't wrinkle as much and it doesn't have any shine.

So what makes Fort Belvedere ties more special than others?

Basically we source very high-end fabrics from small weavers exclusively in England

and in Italy.

It's not something you can find at department stores or at places that sell bow ties for

20 bucks because the fabric for a bow tie already costs more than that.

We also strive to use the proper interlining for a bow tie so it ties very easily.

On top of that we offer our bow ties in different shapes and different

sizes.

And we have an extensive selection of evening bow ties for black tie and white tie that

is unparalleled and you won't find a better selection elsewhere.

All of our bow ties are self tie.

The day ones are adjustable.

The evening ones are fixed neck sizes.

And of course we also offer single end bow ties which you can't find elsewhere.

So in today's video, I'm wearing a classic light blue striped business shirt with a Macclesfield

neats bow tie.

It's smaller micro pattern with a buff background which is a mix between yellow and beige.

I combined it with a pastel yellow pocket square with hand rolled edges with an X stitch.

It picks up the colors yet it doesn't have the pattern.

It both stands out on the light blue shirt as well as the navy blazer jacket which has

a faint windowpane and is part of a suit.

My pants are light blue flat front chinos.

I'm combining them with a pair of full brogues in a dark chocolate brown.

The shoelaces are somewhat contrasting in a reddish brown and you can find them from

Fort Belvedere in our shop here.

The same is true for my socks which are shadow striped in light gray and blue that pick up

the color of my pants.

Of course you can find the pocket square and the bow tie in our shop as well.

And the ring I'm wearing is a lapis lazuli stone with sterling silver and the sterling

silver goes well with my belt buckle.

And the belt itself matches and coordinates the color with my shoes.

This includes eight different metrics that track your best videos in each of these categories.

On the right hand side are videos from channels you have added to your vidIQ competitor's

list and traffic being sent your way from other channel's video.

These are you cluster channels.

So whether you want to know which vidoes have the most watchtime, the most views, the highest

audience retention or gained the most subscibrers this is the section to review to help you

decide on what content to produce next.

We also include which search terms are driving the most traffic to your channel as well as

the performance of your end screens and interactive cards.

These often forgotten about YouTube tools can really help with engagement and ensure

your audience to directed to more of your content.

As well as showing you what you're doing right you also need to know what needs more work

which is why we've included this section which shows you your videos with the lowest watchtime,

likes ratio, audience retention, views and which videos are actually causing your subscribers

to leave your channel.

The final two sections are all about improving the metadata - that's tags, titles and descriptions

- on your videos and highlights where you might have missed opportunities such as adding

video cards, endscreens as well as adding videos to playlists.

The channel audit includes many interactive features.

You can mouse over the channel snapshot metrics for more details.

For each category you can click the view more button to see a comprehensive list of all

the videos as ranked by that metric as well as if they rank highly in other categories.

You can consider these premium performers.

You can also click on the video panels within each category too.

This will take you directly to the relevant metrics for that video in the classic YouTube

Creator Studio analytics.

Back on the audit screen, for both the Competitors and Top suggested categories, clicking on

any of these panels will link you to that video's watch page.

In the top right hand corner of the channel audit screen vidIQ boost users can change

the time frame between 30, 60 and 90 days to get a better understanding of your channel's

performance over time.

All users have access to the Limit Videos in Timeframe Checkbox.

With this ticked only videos published within the timeframe are audited, videos published

outside the timeframe and their metrics are filtered out.

You can see here as I toggle the feature on and off how the videos in each category change.

All of the data points you find within top search terms, interactive cards and endscreens

can be clicked to take you back to the classic YouTube creator studio for more in depth analysis.

The bottom two sections are all about taking action now on your existing content.

Let's take title length as an example.

vidIQ suggests our average title length is good but does that apply to all titles?

If we click on the panel this will list all videos published in the timeframe and whether

each title hits the sweet spot.

Free vidIQ users are limited to 2 results on these screens.

If we take endscreens as another example we are missing endscreens on one video, but if

we click the edit icon to the right this takes us directly to the endscreen tool for that

video in YouTube and allows us to fix the issue instantly!

Channel Audit V2 as we are affectionately calling it, is one of our biggest upgrades

ever which is why we want your help.

A Beginner Medic Guide [TF2] - Basic Tutorial on Medic - Duration: 7:46.

Hello everyone, and welcome back to another video.

In this video, we are going to be talking about the Medic from Team Fortress 2, how

he works, his backstory, the fundamentals of playing him, and just in general anything

worth noting about him.

With all that out of the way, let's get started.

So the backstory behind this mad doctor is that he lacks compassion for the sick and

any respect for human dignity.

But anything that happens to be a downside with him he more than makes up on the battlefield

with an endless supply of needles, and his urge to plunge them into exposed flesh.

He was raised in the city of Stuttgart, Germany, and during this time the Hippocratic oath

had been downgraded to an optional Hippocratic suggestion, and he considers healing his patients

a generally unintended side effect of satisfying his own sick curiosity.

So as his name states, he is the only class that can actually be active and heal his patients

at the same time.

What makes him an essential pick for any team is his ability to heal at a rapid rate, and

regenerate a teammates health within a matter of seconds.

Now I want to talk firstly about ethical standards about the Medic class.

If your team doesn't have a Medic, and people are refusing to switch off their DPS class,

just go Medic because it helps your team out dramatically.

I've had times where I wanted to play Spy, and we were losing.

When I switched over to a more fitting and productive class at the time, we ended up

winning the game because we had a healer who could support the team when it's most needed.

Now for weapons and tips before abilities.

The Medic has 150 health, in the middle of all health states.

He moves at the same base speed as the Spy, so he is more than capable of escaping any

situation.

The Medic starts out with his Syringe Gun, which is a projectile based weapon that is

actually a ranged weapon, meaning it has an arced trajectory and the first tip is to always

try to aim upwards and shoot in front of where the target is going to go before they actually

do to compensate for distance.

Syringes cannot be reflected by the Pyro, being a rare exception since most other forms

of projectiles can.

My only tips with this is to replace it with another primary weapon.

In some cases, the stock is actually worse than other weapons that take its slot, and

sometimes they're actually better.

This varies because of downsides and advantages, and why I say that the gun should be replaced

is because it simply doesn't do much, and certainly doesn't have any upsides.

You want to go with either the Blutsauger, which heals 3 health points on hit, so basically

when you're attacking an enemy, you are rapidly gaining back life while they're

dying.

Great for survival in my opinion.

The next great pick and probably by far the most used Medic primary simply because of

its effectiveness in combat and healing, the Crusader's Crossbow, which is a community-created

gun for the Medic that allows the Medic to shoot special bolts that can't headshot

but, you guessed it, can heal teammates and damage enemies.

It's great for getting quick and efficient heals in when there's little amount of time

and your teammates really need it.

The crossbow works on a reversed damage falloff scale; meaning that the further a syringe

travels, the greater the amount of damage it will deal or health it will heal.

The Pyro can reflect the bolts, and this in turn will grant health to the enemy team should

it be fired at them and reflected inadvertently.

Both of these guns have 40 ammo loaded and 150 carried, while the crossbow has only 1

bolt loaded and 38 ammo carried, and automatically reloads when not active.

So next for secondaries, which is what makes Medic one of the best picks for any team.

All of his secondaries are Medi Guns, and have no ammo, damage, kill icon, and anything

that relates to damage.

Instead, the primary function of the Medi Gun is to heal teammates.

Now there a lot of stats and tips with his secondary, so I'm just going to try to lay

out the simple ones.

Firstly, while healing a teammate, you heal them based on variables in the game.

If you are healing a player who has not taken damage within the last 15 seconds, your healing

rate will increase versus a player who has taken damage and your healing rate can be

at a minimum of 24 health per second.

Secondly, the gun can overheal teammates, which is giving them more health beyond their

max health when they are at full health.

You can also heal enemy spies as well as give them all the buffs of the gun.

Next, you can take the speed of any class faster than you, that being the Scout so this

is could when getting to the offensive lines faster.

Be sure to heal a Scout when you first spawn if you can.

The Medi Gun beam will stay locked onto a target as long as the Medic keeps the primary

fire button held down and stays within range.

This passive ability is great for the Medic to keep an eye out for ambushing enemies,

and to also heal around corners.

Lastly, and this is the Medic's ultimate ability which can be absolutely devastating

to the enemy team, is that having a Medi Gun equipped gives you an Ubercharge bar.

As you heal your patient, you will always be gaining Ubercharge, and this is even more

during pre-round setup.

When the bar hits 100%, you can use alternate fire to grant a temporary team colored shield

surrounding the recipient.

This shield lasts for 8 seconds, and gives both the Medic and his target invulnerable

to any form of damage, save for telefrags.

Enemy spies can also be ubered.

While Ubercharge is deployed, you and your patient can't capture the point, push the

cart, or carry the intelligence.

This is because of balancing reasons.

During this 8 seconds, you can get in there through the defense and make a coordinated

attack with your team to win the game, or you can use the Uber even when your own life

is in danger.

Do be aware that you still take knockback.

This is one of the Medic's main abilities and is why he is primarily chosen.

Lastly for melees, the Medic has a standard Bonesaw that he carries around, that does

65 base damage, because he's gonna saw through your bones.

There are alternatives to the stock Bonesaw, one of them that nearly every single Medic

main uses, which is the Ubersaw, which is easily the best Bonesaw of them all.

On a successful hit, it gives you 25% more Ubercharge to what you already have.

Hitting a target that's invulnerable or cloaked still gives you Ubercharge, but disguised

spies will not.

This is because it will be easy to see yourself gaining Ubercharge while you're hitting

a "teammate", and is a balancing factor for Spies.

Taunting with this weapon also gives you 100% Ubercharge if you get a kill, but disguised

spies only award 50%.

Just as the name implies, there is also a visual representation on the Ubersaw that

shows the players current Ubercharge.

At first I never noticed this, but as I'm reading all about the weapon, I couldn't

help but feel intrigued.

So for the tips, it's pretty straightforward and simple.

Use your Medi Gun to heal teammates that are injured, and buff as many players as you can

beyond their normal health state, or in other words get off as many overheals as you possibly

can.

Save your ubercharge for more important situations, such as when you're injured and you need

to make a quick escape but the enemy is pursuing you, or when there's a tight choke up ahead

and say a Sentry is guarding it.

You fill your ubercharge faster by healing teammates who are more hurt.

Teammates also can cry out for a Medic, and if you are a Medic, you'll receive a white

speech bubble with a red cross inside of it, and it points in the direction of the teammate

who called for Medic.

The white background will start turning to red depending on the teammates health, and

when they start becoming more injured.

So as you may have heard of the term pocket Medic, it actually isn't all that bad of

a tactic.

Basically, you heal or "pocket" a teammate with higher health than the rest, such as

Soldier, Pyro, Heavy, or Demo.

They'll dish out damage while you assist them at the same time.

The only downside I see with this is that you constantly only heal your higher healthed

teammates and nobody else, but if you're healing everyone equally who needs it, and

then when you can you try to heal the higher healthed teammates, that's perfectly fine.

Another good idea is to try to move around all the time to make it harder to hit you,

because you are the healer after all and when you go down, your team has a greatly reduced

chance of succeeding.

So if you're in a situation where both you and your target are injured, and you encounter

one health pack, who should take it?

Well, you should always take the health pack because since you can heal your patient, it

increases survivability.

I wanted to save this passive ability for last because well, this is one of the defining

factors of the Medic.

The Medic is the only class in the game who can by default passively regenerate his health,

so in a sense, he is one of those O.G. characters that has a healing factor.

The longer a Medic stays out of combat and avoids taking damage, the greater the amounts

of health he regenerates.

So he starts out regenerating health at a rate of 3 health points per second, and within

the next 10 seconds assuming he stays out of combat, he'll go up to a maximum of 6

health per second.

Both the Amputator, which is the second best Bonesaw to go with in my opinion, and the

Blutsauger can either positively or negatively affect the rate at which the Medic regenerates

his health.

Thank you guys so much for watching, please, do you like playing the Medic and do you also

like going against him?

First, find the weapon you want to refurbish. Have this weapon at 100% condition.

Check it's description to see what parts you will need to repair/refurbish it.

To refurbish your weapon, you need functioning parts that are not worn or rusty. You get these parts from dismantling other similar guns.

You can also repair parts using a file (or ramrod for barrels) and some other usables, such as gun cleaner, and cloth.

To repair a part, right click the part you want to fix and click "restore part" opening the repair screen.

From here, you pick whatever reasources you have available.

The higher the percentage, the more likely the part will be restored.

When the part at the bottom has the small green light, you can click on the part to attempt to fix it.

Sometimes you may fail to repair the part. It's good to have spares if need be

Sucess!

You can refurbish rusty or worn parts. Worn parts have a much higher rate of repair than rusty, but it is possible to repair them.

Once you have all your functioning parts, you need a Weapon Modification Kit (preferably two of them), and a barrel replacement kit (just one. Make sure you buy the correct size).

Now to find a vice to work on!

You can rent a vice from mechanics for roughly five minutes, by paying 1k. Earlier versions of Anomaly you had to pay in Putinka vodka.

Make sure to equip the gun you want to work on, and unload it, and remove it's attachments.

This is the vice repair screen. From here, you must click on each option in the menu to replace, piece by piece, the parts of the gun.

As you can see, once all of the parts are replaced, the gun went from (worn) to just regular.
