Auto news on Youtube Oct 2 2017

its so hot right now, we are like in 30 degrees and at noon we become until 37

now i'm going to walk around, to see what i can find, i'll be recording whatever I see

looks its pretty cool, but there's no people outside

this is the street that was closed yesterday and now there's nothing

ill see how much does the entrance cost, or if it is free

I´m feeling kind of lost and so hot its only 10 am... im wearing jeans and i cant

stand no more (so hot)

the desks are originals, they are 130 years old.

We added a few things over the years, so on top where the inkwells used to be we put microphones

on top (inaudible) into microphone holders.

They do all their voting from their desks, so they just pick up that microphone.

When they are debating they have a limited time, so their are some rules they have to

follow: You stand up, you stay in this room, you do have to stay on topic, you actually

have to talk about that bill that you are voting about … inaudible…

They also have some very high tech cellphones, so I guess I have to explain to some kids

what they are, there are no recent phones like that on the desk there.

They are from 1998, so they are not originals.

But they did go to their offices, so they are not going outside of the building, like

nobody is offering pizza or on the outside.

They all follow the same rules as we do, no food, no drink.

We are at the end of the discussion session right now, our regular session runs from January

through May every other year, odd number of years, we are very part time, they go home,

they have other careers, other jobs, they go to.

The governor does have the power to call a special session, it has to be up to 30 days

at length, which is currently what we are doing, we are at the end of that.

They can call these for an unlimited number of times, but they do set an agenda so they

give them a list of stuff to work on, so they can't just sneak in other bits of legislation

.. inaudible…

We in here, they only get minimum wage, that's why they also have other careers and jobs.

For all of us, the public, we can come in here and watch, we can't just be wandering

like we did today, that's just distracting, but we can sit upstairs there in the gallery.

…on the battlefield the Texans decide to attack in the middle of the day when they

realize that the Mexicans are usually not very well guarded.

ahh! it's on greenlight behind me its downtown, and now im gonna look

for something to eat I heard about a TexMex food and that theres

good food its too hot that i'd like to be like that

done, ive reached, i asked for some beef fajitas for 12.99

Enchanted Rock State Natural Area - Texas Parks & Wildlife [Official] - Duration: 2:27.

[wind blows]

- RAY SIERRA: Folks are in awe of the rock, just that something

this massive and this large is out in the middle

of the Hill Country.

- APRIL HITZFELD: I think that's why it became Enchanted Rock.

They thought that it was something different,

that it wasn't something that should just be out here.

It doesn't matter how many times you come to the park,

it's never the same thing, and that's what I really

enjoy about the rock.

- RAY: The Native Americans were inspired by it.

They felt that it was inhabited by spirits.

[thunder claps]

- APRIL: Mystical, magical, enchanted--

it's not like your normal park.

[wind]

Enchanted Rock is an outcropping.

It is the inside of a volcano that didn't erupt.

They say that it's the heart of Texas.

[footsteps on gravel]

I think it's enchanting because you can rock climb,

you can fish, you can hike, you can camp,

and to me that's what's enchanting about the area.

The Hill Country's a beautiful place.

[car passing]

Enchanted Rock is located 17 miles north of Fredericksburg

and about 25 miles south of Llano.

People can come in and still get that one-on-one feeling

with nature.

- RAY: There's a good amount of wildlife and plant life

within the park for folks to study.

[bird chirping]

The middle of the week is the best time to come out and visit

Enchanted Rock and virtually have the place all to yourself.

You'll see a little bit of everything,

over 60 species of birds, various reptiles, mammals.

The first time out, obviously you want to make it

to the summit, and take in the view.

- APRIL: It's 425 feet.

So, you can see forever.

It's beautiful.

But I think the view is beautiful no matter

where you are at the park.

- RAY: It is a magical place.

They estimate it's one billion years old.

It's going to be here long, long after we're gone,

and of course that's a good thing, we want the generations

of tomorrow to be able to enjoy it for years and years.
