Well good morning from Hong Kong (香港).

It is seven in the morning.

A little early to be out in my opinion but today we're going to Macau (澳門 - 澳门).

Special day.

So we've got our tickets for Macau (澳門 - 澳门).

Woo!

160 Hong Kong dollars each.

It is just over $20 US bucks and they give you your seats as you basically arrive.

Just after you go through immigration.

Yeah so we just got these little stickers.

We're 17M and 17K and guys don't forget to bring your passport because technically you're

going to a different special administrative region.

You're going from Hong Kong (香港) to Macau (澳門 - 澳门).

So we have just sat down in the boat (TurboJET - 噴射飛航).

I already feel queasy.

This is like rocking from side to side.

Are you regretting your decision to have a Mcdonald's breakfast this morning?

That was his idea.

Not it wasn't.

We needed something quick.

We normally don't eat there.

Oh man.

Made it.

And you know what?

The ride was a lot smoother than I was expecting.

I think it was because we were on the second floor of the boat this time.

Yeah.

That and the fact you were sleeping most of the way.

I passed out.

It was way too early to be traveling.

In all fairness almost everyone was sleeping on that ride so.

Yeah.

So yeah now we're basically we're going to go catch our transportation.

We're looking to find one of the free shuttle buses to the hotels we're looking for.

Yes.

Possibly the Venetian bus and then we get started.

Haha.

I feel so cheeky.

We're being so cheap instead of paying for a bus or for the taxi.

No, that is what everyone does.

Free shuttle.

That is what everyone does here.

That is true.

We found free transportation.

Shhhh.

So I'm not sure if we already mentioned this but today is just a day trip from Hong Kong

(香港).

So we're not actually staying here in Macau (澳門 - 澳门).

We did that once before and it is super expensive here.

Like everything is overpriced.

So we thought we would just visit for the day and yeah we're going to be making a little

guide and showing you a few of the different things that you can do here and eat here.

We're going to be sampling lots of good food.

Alright, so we figured since we took the free shuttle to the Venitian we should probably

visit the Venetian (澳門威尼斯人度假村酒店).

What do you think?

So yeah, we've just been checking it out here.

And it is definitely obviously not like Venice but I guess it is a casino version of Venice.

It is a bit like Vegas.

It is a bit like Vegas.

And yeah Macao has been called the Vegas of China.

So I mean.

Yeah.

Yeah we're going to go check out a few other casinos and then I think we're going to spend

the rest of the day exploring more of the historic ruins and eating.

More of the cultural side.

More of the cultural stuff and then eating a lot of street food as well too.

I have to say walking through casinos is exhausting.

These buildings are massive.

We're currently trying to reach the Parisian (澳門巴黎人) from the Venetian.

I feel like we've been walking for 15 or 20 minutes.

Still not in sight.

So we had enough of hotels and casinos for a while and we've walked over to Taipa (氹仔)

and over here we're going to be visiting the Taipa Houses Museum (龍環葡韻住宅式博物館

- Casas-Museu da Taipa).

There is also like a nice little park with wetlands behind us.

So yeah, it is a lot quieter and more peaceful over here.

I would say I prefer it.

So what did you think of the museum?

Yeah, it was pretty cool.

It was free to visit and there is about four different houses you can go in to.

Each house had its own different kind of theme or gallery.

One was a living museum, there was another where there was artwork and there was another

where there was old photographs.

So yeah if you pop by here you can check out the different houses.

Just pop in and it doesn't take long to visit them at all.

We have now been walking around for a few hours and I'm starting to feel the hanger

vibes.

Yeah, so it is a good time to go eat.

It is just before noon and it is time to scarf down on some Macanese street food.

Let's get food.

So we kind of have a list of things we want to try here in Macau (澳門 - 澳门).

Yes.

And this was not on here.

Wasn't on the list but we still found it interesting.

So what is this one?

So this is an egg pudding but I got the chocolate egg pudding.

Yeah, they also had green tea right?

Yeah.

Um, so yeah it is like an egg.

They sliced off the top.

I don't even know how you make this to be honest.

Do you shape the egg until it is creamy?

I have no idea.

We have no idea what this is and that is what makes it so exciting.

Mmmm.

Well it does not taste like boiled eggs so that is excellent.

It is really creamy.

Look at that.

Is it sweet?

Like how yeah.

Yeah, it is literally like pudding.

Okay.

Maybe it is just like pudding that has been put inside of the eggshell.

Maybe that is just the preparation of it.

Look.

Oh wow.

This is a mystery to me.

No idea how it is made but it is so delicious.

Wow.

And Sam doesn't like eggs so he was like no I won't have one.

So are you going to eat it all then?

You're missing out.

Seriously this is like chocolate pudding.

It is so creamy, so smooth.

Unbelievable.

So it took us a while to find a place that was serving pork chops this early.

But we finally found one.

Yeah, some of them weren't going to start serving them until 2pm.

Until 2 pm.

And it is around noon right now so oh bummer but we finally found somewhere and this pork

chop bun (豬扒包) is one of the most popular street foods you can find in Macau (澳門

- 澳门).

Yeah.

It is basically.

Oh wow.

Thank you.

Here comes our tea too.

It is basically considered a Macanese specialty.

Uh huh.

And it is almost considered like a Macanese hamburger.

Macau's take on a hamburger.

So you've got your pork chop (豬扒包) in the middle.

Yeah.

And then you have a crispy bun.

Well it is crispy on the outside and it is supposed to be soft on the inside.

So I am dripping sauce all over the place.

Time for me to just take a bite.

Next up we're having Pastel de Nata (蛋撻 - 蛋挞) and this is where you start to see

the Portuguese influence in Macanese cuisine.

This is something that you find everywhere in Portugal.

We had these when we were in Lisbon.

There is a really famous shop um in Belem.

And yeah these are really tasty.

I've had these often.

I know.

So let's dig in.

So excited to be having them again.

Mmmm.

And the Macanese take on it is really good.

Mmmm.

Really good.

Look at that.

It is like so custard-y inside.

Wow.

And we got these from what is considered to be a famous place for them.

It is called Lord Stow's.

Yeah.

Yeah.

It is not from the original shop but it is from one of the branches and ah yeah we're

just really lucky to bump in to it.

It is so flakey.

Haha.

The exterior.

Look at that.

Can you see the layers these.

It is like Millefeuille.

So I have to say I really enjoyed visiting this area.

Taipa (氹仔).

I hadn't been here before when I was last in Macao (澳門 - 澳门) and it is pretty

cool.

It just feels more historic.

It is colorful.

Great street food.

So next up we're going to head to Senado Square (Largo do Senado - 議事亭前地) and to

get there we're going to make use of some of the free transportation provided by the

Casinos.

Update.

So the free shuttle that they used to have from the Galaxy Hotel to the area around Senado

Square (Largo do Senado - 議事亭前地) a few years ago no longer runs.

What?

So we're going to Star World.

Yep.

And from there I think we're going to be walking about 20 minutes the guy said.

It is getting us halfway there and then we have to walk.

We're getting a little spoiled I'd say.

We were on our way to Senado Square but then we spotted these really pretty garden so we're

taking a bit of a detour.

Yeah, it is has been nice so far and we've just been walking around and I think we're

probably only like five or ten minutes away from where we want to be so getting closer.

Where are we at the moment?

So we're at Senado Square (Largo do Senado - 議事亭前地).

This is where we've been trying to walk to now for a while.

Yeah.

We've just been taking some time-lapses so setting the camera up on the tripod and I

think we're going to try and go find a bite.

We're getting a little peckish again.

Again.

And you know what?

It is looking super Christmas-y around here.

It is.

Check it out.

It is only like 19 days away from Christmas.

So yeah.

But by the time you watch this Christmas will be long gone.

This is just a little bit too crowded for me.

We're at a standstill.

We're not moving.

Not going anywhere.

We're still determined to see as much as we can in one day.

Yeah, we made it to Saint Paul's Ruins.

We still haven't found food though so we're getting a little hangry.

We have St. Paul's Ruins (大三巴牌坊) off in the background and Sam ready to sample

more food.

Yeah, so something you're going to find in Macau (澳門 - 澳门) well just about everywhere.

Especially around the Saint Paul's Ruins (大三巴牌坊) is you get this beef jerky that is for sale.

Yeah.

And you buy these big slabs and they cut it up for you like there is just a huge amount

here.

So I'm going to try it.

I did sample this one.

It is sweet.

Is it beef or pork?

That is the question.

It is pork.

Pork.

Pork jerky (豬肉乾).

Mmmm.

That is really nice.

It has got like a sweet glaze on it.

It kind of reminds me of um if you've ever had a cooked ham that has been cooked in like

molasses or maple syrup or something like that.

Very Canadian.

Maple Syrup.

Uh huh.

It kind of has that glaze type of sweetness on the outside and it is nice meat.

It is not unlike other jerkys that I've had before it is not as chewy.

Um, it basically you just bite in to it and the meat basically disintegrates in your mouth

so it is nice.

We've got a lot.

Look at that.

Man.

We're going to be here for a while.

So we're still trying to eat our way around the city here and it is starting to rain.

Today was supposed to be zero percent chance of precipitation and look at what is happening.

With all of these clouds I'm actually surprised it didn't rain earlier.

Anyways we found our next snack and we're having almond cakes (杏仁餅).

So check those out.

It looks really powdery and it actually has chunks of almond in it.

Wow.

And we saw these being freshly made.

So it is pretty amazing.

That is how we decided on the store.

We're like oh they're making them right outside so.

How are those?

Good.

It is quite dry.

It is almost like a chalky like powdery texture so if you're planning on having a few you

probably want tea or like some kind of beverage nearby.

A bubble tea (波霸奶茶).

Have a bubble tea nearby.

We didn't get a bubble tea (波霸奶茶) actually.

Hahaha.

That is next.

But yeah it is really nice.

Really tasty.

Kind of a nice Christmas treat.

Almond for some reason it seems like a Christmas-y ingredient.

Alright so Sam is now rocking a purple drink in his hand.

Yeah.

What could that possibly be?

So we've had bubble tea (波霸奶茶) in both Taiwan and in Hong Kong (香港).

Yeah, but we haven't had it in Macao (澳門 - 澳门) and we haven't had Taro before.

So this is a purple color.

And you can see it still has the tapioca jellies at the bottom.

Yeah but time to try it.

Alright, so taro milk.

Mmmm.

What does taro milk taste like?

It is really sweet.

It has a bit of a creamy taste and you can definitely can taste the taro.

It is strong.

Does it taste like potato.

Like potato milk.

A little bit.

It still tastes a bit like tea though too.

It is really good.

So next we're heading into Museu de Macau (澳門博物館).

We have not decided whether or not we actually want to go in to the museum.

Still debating that.

We've been walking around a lot and visiting the museum involves more walking.

I'd be pretty happy to just enjoy the view maybe eat some more.

So Sam what is the one determining factor on whether you want to visit a museum or not?

What do you always ask?

Can we take photos?

I thought you were going to say is it free?

Oh is free too.

Yeah those things.

If it doesn't meet those criteria then sometimes I just do not go in.

So that was made easy.

The exhibit was actually closed so we can only enjoy the terrace but the terrace has

some pretty cool views so we're here.

So Sam last attraction of the day.

Where are we?

So we are at Monte Fort.

Monte Fort (Fortaleza do Monte - 大炮台).

And yeah it is starting to rain quite a bit.

It is starting to rain and it has been a long day so we're going to head back and leave

you with these magnificent views.

We should probably say thank you to the Wynn Hotel for that private transfer to the ferry

terminal.

We were the only people on the shuttle bus.

Literally.

And we didn't even stay at their hotel.

Well welcome to a nondescript hotel room somewhere in Asia.

Today we're going to be talking Macau travel tips because we recently traveled there on

a day trip from Hong Kong and actually we've also been there.

We went there maybe like 3 years ago.

Yeah.

And we stayed overnight.

So we thought why not share some of the tips, some of the things we've learned for anywhere

out there planning a trip there.

And because we've done both of those types of trips we think we can offer something for

just about everyone.

So yeah, you can do it by day from Hong Kong and you can also stay overnight too.

So as usual we've got our notes in front of us on the computer so you're going to see

us staring down but that is just so we give you accurate information and we're not making

stuff up.

Yeah.

Yeah.

So how a lot of people describe Macau (澳門 - 澳门) is they call it the Vegas of China.

But you know what that is not really fair because Macao actually generates seven times

the amount of revenue as the strip on Vegas.

Cha chingy chang.

So if anything Vegas should be called you know the it should be the Vegas should be

the Macau of the United States.

America!

Yeah.

All of America.

So that is how much gambling is a part of Macau (澳門 - 澳门).

But Macao (澳門 - 澳门) is also way more than just gambling.

It also has a lot of colonial history and you can really see that when you're walking

around in the Old Town.

It is just very Portuguese.

Like buildings, the floor tiles, even the cuisine.

So even if you're not in to gambling it is really worth visiting.

Right.

And there is also a lot of really fascinating street foods as well.

That is called Macanese cuisine.

It is a combination of Portuguese and Southern Chinese with a lot of Southeast Asian ingredients.

Oh la lah.

Quite fascinating stuff.

So the local currency is the Macau Pataca.

I had no idea so I was calling it Macau dollars or Macanese dollar the whole time I was there

which is pretty embarrassing.

That is.

Anyway the exchange is $1 USD = 8 MOP Patacas.

Yeah, and it is basically almost identical to the Hong Kong Dollar.

And that leads into our next point where if you're coming from Hong Kong you can use Hong

Kong Dollars in Macau (澳門 - 澳门).

Yes.

It is widely accepted.

Yep.

But here is the catch.

If you do take out the Macau Patacas.

If you have quite a bit of them you're going to want to especially exchange your coins

before you go back to Hong Kong because those coins are not accepted in Hong Kong.

Yeah.

So yeah, it is kind of a bit of a double standard.

I'm not sure why that is but yeah if you do have Hong Kong extra Hong Kong dollars do

bring them in and spend them in Macau.

It is possible to do that.

So our next point is transportation.

How do you get to Macau (澳門 - 澳门) and there are actually lots of different ways.

Right.

I would say probably the most popular if you're coming from Hong Kong would be the ferry.

Right.

And you can take the ferry from Hong Kong Island, Kowloon or from Hong Kong International

Airport.

Yeah, so you have those different options and so that is arriving from the let's say

arriving from Hong Kong but you can also arrive from Mainland China.

There are buses from like Guangzhou and other places.

Shenzhen.

Different types of places.

They also have ferries too.

Uh huh.

And then of course there is the airport.

And something to keep in mind even if you're going to visit Hong Kong not just Macau is

that uh the Macau airport has some really good budget flights.

Yes.

So you may actually be able to fly into Macau cheaper than Hong Kong.

So if you're thinking of flying into Hong Kong especially somewhere from Southeast Asia

consider also Macau (澳門 - 澳门).

Because you may get a much better deal.

I remember the one time we flew in from Chiang Mai we got a really good price from Air Asia.

So yeah, do consider that.

And you know what?

Speaking of flights we should also mention you can come to Macau by helicopter.

Haha.

Fancy.

Yeah, if you want to arrive like a boss.

If you want to arrive in style.

I think it is like about $500 dollars one way.

Yeah, it is about $500 US dollars but it is only 16 minutes from Hong Kong.

So if you're in a rush and you want to start gambling you know take the helicopter and

you'll be there in no time.

So speaking of the ferry you're going to save a little bit of money if you go on a weekday

as opposed to the weekend.

It is just slightly cheaper.

Um, you're looking at around just over $20 US dollars for an economy class.

Yeah.

And that is perfectly adequate.

I mean uh it is only an hour ride so and there is departures leaving every like.

Very frequently.

Yeah.

Like 15 to 30 minutes.

Right.

And you can go anytime of day.

You can leave really early in the morning and you can come back late at night.

Or vice versa.

So it is really easy.

We've always just shown up and bought our ticket.

Um, like right from the stands.

Right when we wanted to go and that is probably fine on weekdays but if there is like a really

big event going on in Macau or it is on a weekend during a busy time of year I'd recommend

booking in advance and you can do that on the TurboJET's website.

I've also once booked it online.

It was really easy.

They accept credit cards and stuff like that.

Of course.

Super easy.

So next let's talk about accommodations in Macau and we've got to tell you just like

Hong Kong it is not cheap.

I would go as far as saying that it can be more expensive than staying in Hong Kong.

Yeah, it is.

Hong Kong does have budget options.

You can stay in dorms.

In Macau that is basically nonexistent.

Yeah.

Uh, I remember even the first time I visited Macau which is before I met you they didn't

really have many dorm options or hostel options and that is true even to today.

And I guess when most people are going over there to gamble um yeah.

They've got the cash.

They've got money.

And there isn't even a lot of very good mid-range options to be honest.

Yeah.

So there are some sort of more like dingy hotels which are not located by the casinos

not located by the main attractions.

And you can probably find something for under $100 US dollars but don't expect a lot at

that price which is kind of why we recommend doing it by day.

If you're visiting Macau more for the culture and the food then you can definitely make

a day trip from Hong Kong.

But if you do want to gamble and do some of the more entertainment.

The shows at night and stuff then you probably will just have to cough up the money stay

in a casino or like famous hotel and pay a bit more.

And we have notes on that here.

So a 2 to 3 star is going to be between $88 to 160 USD and if you're looking for 4 to

5 stars a $150 all the way up to $600 US bucks.

So yeah, bring your money.

Hahaha.

So there are AirBNB options.

We noticed some places where you can get a shared room for $40 to $60 dollars a night.

So that is actually not bad.

Well not a shared room.

Like your own private room in someone's house.

Right.

But you won't have the whole apartment to yourself.

Yeah, sorry.

That is what I meant.

And I noticed that those places weren't like right in the core the city.

So again more on the outskirts.

And if you're wanting to get your own place you're looking at $80 to $200 dollars plus.

Yeah.

So yeah, again not very cheap.

Um but it is available.

So next up let's talking about transportation around Macau (澳門 - 澳门).

And one thing we really enjoy is that all of the casinos and hotels offer free shuttles

from the terminal because obviously they want to lure guests.

Like come gamble at our place.

Yep.

So they offer free transportation which is great for visitor's on a budget I would say.

It really is.

So you can literally arrive at one of the ferry terminals and then hop on one of these

free shuttle buses and they will take you to all of the major casinos and also to some

major attractions as well.

Yeah.

So it is actually a really good way to get around the city and it is absolutely free.

So you can that is our favorite way to get around Macao.

Hands down.

So aside from free transportation also just walk around Macau on foot.

I mean a lot of places once you arrive in a certain area like if you're in Taipa or

you're near Senado Square or Saint Paul's Ruins for example.

A lot of the places that you can just reach by foot and it is just a really pleasant way

to just walk around in Macau.

So it is very pedestrian friendly and we definitely recommend it.

That being said we would not recommend walking from the strip where all of the casinos are

all the way to Senado Square because you're not going to make it.

Take a bus to get there.

And then you can walk around once you're there.

That would be really pushing it.

Yes.

Haha.

Uh, another option is you can take also public buses which are fairly cheap and also taxis.

So a taxi shouldn't cost more than about $5 US dollars for short rides and yeah if you're

in a hurry that would probably be your best bet because you do sometimes have to wait

around for the shuttle buses.

They leave at designated times for example.

And if something is too far to walk then consider taking the taxi or one of the public buses.

So for all of you budget travelers out there next up we're going to talk about free attractions

you can visit around Macau.

And number 1 I would say the area around Senado Square which is kind of like the main plaza

the main square.

You have lots of Portuguese architecture and tiles.

Yeah.

You can get some street food while you're there.

Yeah, it is nearby a lot of other major attractions and it is just a very central area and it

is a great place to people watch as well.

Yeah, and once you're at Senado Square you can walk all the way to the ruins of Saint

Paul which is basically the facade of a church.

Like the building is no longer there so all you see is the facade and the stepz leading

up to it.

But I would say that is a pretty cool walk from those two points.

It is a major landmark and you're going to see tonnes of people taking photos there.

It is quite photogenic and it is also you pass from Senado Square all the way to the

ruins that you're going to see probably where you can most of your street food too.

Yes, free samples of food guys.

Food!

That was another one of our free things.

Yeah, a lot of these stores they lure people in by offering free samples.

You can get free samples of almond cookies, free samples of like the pork jerky with glazed

honey.

So yeah there is a lot of different free samples so hit those up before you actually purchase

something.

So obviously another free attraction are all of the hotels and casinos and I mean some

of them are themed.

You have the Venetian which looks just like Venice and you have the Parisian which looks

just like Paris.

So if you enjoy that kind of thing you can go hotel and casino hopping.

Yeah, and some of them are really cool inside.

And the nice thing is that all of the shopping area and all of the entertainment area is

free to anyone in the public.

It is only the casino part where you have to be gambling in order to go in to.

You can't just wander around in there.

So aside from Senado Square another really cool place where you can see a lot of Portuguese

architecture and visit some museums is Taipa.

And it is also a great place to get street food.

That is where we tried are Macanese egg tarts and a few other delicious things.

Pork chop buns.

Yes.

So that is a great place to wander around.

So we've already talked about free attractions in Macau.

Now we're going to move on to things that you're probably going to want to pay for.

So first up we have Macau Tower.

Yeah, and I mean you're going to get a great view of Macau from there.

All the casinos all of the different islands.

So yeah, definitely go up it.

This is actually a confession time.

This is something we haven't done before but yeah if you're in to towers and getting really

good views then definitely check it out.

And you know what, I'm pretty sure you can go bungee jumping.

Yes, you can.

It is something we've never really researched.

No.

Because we have no interest.

We're both terrified of heights so that is not something we'd do but if you have a little

more courage than us consider it.

So the price to go up Macau tower is 130 Pataca MOP and it is obviously a little bit cheaper

if you're a child or a senior citizen.

So this next attraction that you're going to want to pay for is a mouthful.

So I'm going to read it to you.

It is called City of Dreams House of Dancing Water Spectacular.

RIght.

And basically it is a nightly show.

Kind of like a performance so if you like entertainment that is something you can do.

Yeah, this is located on the strip where all the casinos are.

RIght, and again that is something we haven't done but it is very very highly rated.

But this one is quite pricey.

So in terms of prices it is going to cost you 580 Hong Kong Dollars which is about $75

US dollars per ticket.

And of course we couldn't talk about Macau without mentioning gambling.

So so many people go there to gamble and if you're so inclined you can spend as little

or as much as you want.

You can drop huge wads of cash in Macau (澳門 - 澳门) and if you want to gamble there

is no shortage of places that will take your money.

And there is probably no limit to how much you can bet.

Yeah, exactly.

So next up we're going to talk about different foods you can try in Macau.

And we actually made an entire video dedicated to Macanese street food so you can check that

out if you're interested.

If you're a bit of a foodie.

There are just tonnes of options.

Like we ate like seven or eight different things.

So there is just tonnes of things to try.

And we ate really well.

So I would say one of my favorites was the egg tarts.

The Portuguese egg tarts.

Those were so tasty.

Oh my gosh.

So crispy.

Those.

Flaky.

Those were so good.

Those liked rivaled the egg tarts you find in Portugal.

The original ones.

What are they Pasteis de Nata?

Yeah.

Yeah.

They were so good.

Those are fantastic and they're also really cheap.

So another really popular one to have that we highly recommend is the pork chop bun.

It is basically like just like a pork chop in a bun.

And the outside of the bun is crispy and then it is really doughy inside.

Yeah, it is toasted.

Yeah, it is toasted.

It is just really good.

Trust me.

Try that one.

Just make sure you don't like bite into the bone like Sam did.

Oh my gosh.

Because the pork chop obviously has the chop in there.

I didn't see the bone and I bit in to it really hard and I thought of my gosh did I just chip

a tooth.

I was wondering am I actually going to be able to enjoy Macau or not or do I have to

go to a make an emergency dentist appointment.

Okay, so next up, and this is for the more adventurous people, try the durian ice cream.

Aw!

Oh my gosh.

It smells bad.

I love durian you hate it.

So if you already know you hate durian then obviously don't try it.

Stay away.

But if you've never tried try the durian ice cream it is really good.

And the next one I want to talk about is basically the sweet pork jerky that you can find.

These are just the thin strips that are cut up with scissors and put into a bag.

They are really good.

It is really soft.

It is so different from North American jerky or also Biltong which is something I've tried

from South Africa.

It is really soft jerky.

It is really sweet.

It makes a great snack.

And another thing I really enjoyed trying was the almond cookies.

Oh yeah.

And those for some reason just make me think of Christmas.

They're like little small bite sized cookies and they're very dry.

Yeah, so if you're going to try a whole bunch you probably want to enjoy them with tea or

some kind of beverage.

Yeah, maybe bubble tea.

We enjoyed ours with bubble tea.

Mmmm.

Oh yeah.

And if you guy by some shops you can actually see them making almond cookies which is fascinating.

So I would recommend buying them from one of the shops that is making them right in

front of you.

You know it is fresh.

You know it is good.

And another thing you can try in Macau is Portuguese wine.

We didn't get to do this.

Oh, I highly regret not doing that.

Yeah.

We just didn't have time.

I love wine so I would have loved to try the Portuguese wine.

Apparently, it is really affordable and really good quality too.

Next time.

Now moving on to things we loved about Macau.

Yeah, so these are all of things we really liked about Macau and what made it an attractive

place to visit.

So number 1 would be the free hotels and casinos you can just wander around and I mean you've

got these grand buildings.

Yeah.

So it is kind of like woah!

If you're there just for shopping and entertainment you could literally make that the focus of

your entire trip.

There is just so many different casinos and hotels to visit.

And every time we go back there is a new one.

There is like a new building.

They build fast in Macao.

Oh.

I have to say.

They sure do.

Yeah, anyways another thing we enjoyed was the street food.

Which we've mentioned a few times already.

That was really good.

Oh my gosh the Macanese street food is amazing.

And one of the advantages of snacking on street food all day long as opposed to going to sit

down restaurants is that it really helps you manage your time.

You can see and do a lot more when you're just like picking up these little bites.

Having something quick to eat and then moving on to the next thing.

And it is a lot more affordable than going out for a fancy meal.

Yes.

In Macau (澳門 - 澳门) because I have a feeling that would not be affordable.

No, it could get pricey really quick.

And yeah, all of the Macanese street food is really cheap.

Like everything was under $5 US dollars.

Some things were under $1.

So really cheap.

Really delicious.

Highly recommend it.

So another thing we really like is all of the Portuguese architecture and ruins that

you can find throughout the city.

It is just fascinating to see that type of architecture in you know a part of the world

where you normally wouldn't associate that with.

Yeah.

It just gives a some people come obviously to Macau to gamble and to do other things

like that but you can also be a culture vulture and enjoy the Portuguese architecture.

Culture vulture.

And other things.

So another point to add is that this is such an easy day trip.

Like it is just so convenient to hop on a ferry and you're there.

Right.

So the ease of travel is another really alluring thing about Macau (澳門 - 澳门).

It is very attractive and if you want to do the way we did it we woke up really early

in Hong Kong we went to the ferry terminal bought our ticket, quickly went through immigration.

Do remember to bring your passport.

Yes.

You are going from one special administrative region to another.

From Hong Kong to Macau so don't forget to do that.

But yeah, you can go buy your ticket on the spot.

We were on the baot within like what 30 minutes.

And then it an hour to Macau (澳門 - 澳门).

Immigration was a breeze there and so like by I don't know by 8 or 9 we were like already

rolling.

We were sightseeing.

We were sightseeing, exploring Macau.

So yeah and then you can come back again late at night.

And that makes for a great really busy day.

I find that when you have some time scarcity like that you just maximize your time.

Yeah, you really run around.

We did.

And we saw a lot and yeah check out our video to see what we did in just one day.

And one final point about things we loved about Macau would have to be the free transportation

provided by the hotels and casinos.

Even though we didn't really spend money.

I know we took like three different shuttles.

Yeah, oh what was it the Wynn Hotel.

We went from the Wynn Hotel back to the ferry.

We were the only people on that shuttle.

And they drove us.

It was a private ride.

So yeah, do take advantage of the free transportation.

These casinos and hotels they have tonnes of money so you don't have to feel guilty

about it.

Alright, moving on to the things we hated about Macau.

Basically the things we disliked about Macau (澳門 - 澳门).

And the first thing that comes up is the accommodations.

The lack of budget and mid-range accommodations.

It really out prices a lot of travelers and visitors.

But obviously the city is making a lot of money so I don't see that changing anytime

soon.

And I don't see there being a lot of budget accommodations both now and in the future.

So another thing that we kind of hated about Macau is that let's say by mid afternoon a

lot of the major attractions like Senado Square, Saint Paul's Ruins it is just packed with

people.

Super crowded.

Oversaturated.

Yeah, it is a little bit overwhelming.

So the way that you can get around that is to visit these earlier in the morning.

Yeah.

Um, especially if you're staying in Macao (澳門 - 澳门).

We didn't have that option because we got to these around the mid-afternoon but it was

a little bit overwhelming.

Yeah, there was a point where we weren't actually moving.

We were just standing there in a crowd like kind of getting pushed and shoved.

So that wasn't so pleasant.

I guess that is one of the downsides.

Right.

So to like we said to get around that visit during off hours.

And the last thing that I didn't really enjoy was the ferry ride coming back.

It was totally fine on the way there but on the way back it was super choppy.

And like the boat was bouncing up and down and that is when I understood why they have

seat belts on the seats on the ferry.

It is because like you're getting some serious air.

And it is like uhh.

To be honest that doesn't bother me as much.

Like I don't get as seasick.

And one tip we can offer is to try to get a seat on the second level.

That is never as choppy as on the first level.

Yeah.

So yeah, try to get your seat on the second level especially if you mind the choppy waters

and if you get seasick easily.

Yeah, so I would say those are all of our travel tips for Macau.

Lake Bled Travel Guide | Day Trip from Ljubljana, Slovenia - Duration: 15:30.

Well good morning good morning from Ljubljana.

This is like the earliest we've been up and it is so foggy and it is kind of like what

is going on.

I can't remember a place where we've been sleeping in as much as we have.

Like it is such a good mattress.

It has been so embarrassing.

There has been a couple of days where I've got up at like 10 or ten thirty.

Yeah.

Usually eight thirty or nine for me.

Yeah.

But we got up early.

We woke up at like seven or seven thirty today.

And yeah, we're out the door by eight fifty one and this is our last day in Slovenia so

we've got a day trip.

Yes, we are going to Lake Bled.

It is supposed to be one of the most magical lakes in Europe.

So it should be fun.

We're going to make our way to the bus terminal and go from there.

Alright Sam, time to breathe like a dragon.

Yeah, exactly.

Totally makes sense right?

Alright, so we finally got our tickets.

We accidentally walked into the train station but this is the bus terminal right here.

And um I just got one way tickets because I was put on the spot and I didn't know if

we could like use the return ticket whenever we wanted or if it is a fixed time.

So we paid 7 Euros and eighty cents.

That is only one way and yeah now we have to wait until ten o'clock because it only

leaves once every hour and we just missed the other one.

Yeah, so that is about a forty minute wait.

And for anyone visiting after us the bus leaves from platform number seven.

Lake Bled is probably the most popular day trip you can take from Ljubljana.

This is a lake that sits on the Julian Alps, and in the middle of the lake you have a small

island with a church - it's about as picturesque as it gets and it draws massive crowds, but

first, the journey there.

Alright guys we've made it into town.

We're in Bled and we are starving.

It is probably like eleven thirty or twelve.

It was a long journey.

A bit of traffic towards the end.

Yeah.

So first things is first.

We're going to grab some lunch.

Food number one priority.

Let's do this.

It is always our number one priority.

So here we are.

All settled in the restaurant.

And it didn't take us long to start like feasting on the bread basket.

Yeah, they brought us a nice big basket.

It is really spongy bread.

It is nice.

It tastes really good.

And yeah, we've ordered some different things and we're so hungry we can't wait for it to

arrive.

Okay, so my first dish has arrived.

I ordered something that was labeled as Mushroom Cappuccino Soup.

So really hoping it tastes nothing like coffee.

Haha.

But yeah it kind of had like some whipped cream on top.

Give it a stir.

And yeah, look you can see the mushrooms in there.

Oh yeah.

It looks so good and it is so chilly out today.

Like I'm freezing and I don't know how Sam is walking around in a t-shirt but it is perfect

like soup weather.

Yeah, like I'm underdressed but luckily the sun has come out.

When it was foggy this morning I have to admit I was a bit chilly.

Mmmm.

That is really nice.

So the main dishes have arrived at the table and they are these massive portions.

They are really big.

I got myself the risotto with chicken and vegetables.

Honestly this is probably enough for two people and I've already had an entree.

So yeah.

But it looks so good.

It is really hot but it is still steaming.

But let's try it.

Oh, look at that.

So hot.

Piping hot.

So hot.

Mmmm.

But it has a really nice tomato base sauce.

It is so good.

It is almost a little bit soupy to be honest.

It is like halfway between like a risotto and a soupy risotto.

So onto my main.

I ordered a pasta and it comes with cheese sauce and salmon.

Ooh.

And again the portions are huge here.

Oh my gosh.

It looks like a bit of dill as well.

Yeah.

We're going to do a lot it is a good thing we're going to be walking around the lake

after this.

Yeah, around the lake and up to the castle as well so.

Yeah.

We might have to do a couple of laps.

Haha.

I think one single loop takes between and hour and a half and two.

Well, so we only have time for one.

Hmmm.

Good stuff.

It is really nice.

It is really nice pasta and we're almost forgetting your entree arrived.

Oh right I got the croquettes.

Let's try it.

Yeah.

It looks like it is hot too by the way you are chewing.

I'm suffering.

So we are now done our lunch and since we are right by the castle that is going to be

our next stop.

But this is going to be a challenge because the castle is on a really steep hill and well

we just had risotto and pasta and bread and lots of heavy foods.

So we're going to be hauling our bodies up.

But let's go.

Alright and according to the sign it is only 15 minutes to the top so that seems manageable.

We are currently buying our tickets.

Yeah, they are 10 Euros a pop.

10 Euros per person.

And look at that sign.

What does that sign say people?

No drones.

We were debating whether to take it so we definitely made the right call.

We didn't bring it.

It would have been an amazing flight but totally illegal.

Bled Castle is a medieval castle that was built on a cliff rising 130 meters over Lake

Bled.

According to written sources, this is the oldest castle in Slovenia, first being mentioned

in a document from the year 1011.

The castle is set up around two courtyards which are connected with a staircase.

Once you're there, you can visit the chapel, check out some of the exhibits, watch a demonstration

at the castle forge, or eat at the castle coffee shop or restaurant.

So you picked up something.

Yeah, so wherever I go every new country I try to get a magnet for my Mom's collection.

And look at the one here.

Oh that is cute.

She maybe seeing this before she gets it in December.

Depending on when this video is published.

Now we go up the defence wall for some views and some defence.

And some defense.

So we just finished visiting the castle.

Yeah we sure did.

The castle itself was really cool.

There was some amazing views but I didn't find the exhibits or the theme rooms that

particularly interesting.

I think you come for the views and to kind of just walk around the castle and explore

it.

Yeah, honestly I think it is a little bit overpriced at 10 Euros.

After the castle visit, we hiked back down and started our walk along Lake Bled because

It is time for an update from the man with the bright orange backpack.

So basically we've been walking.

I'd say we've done about a third of the circumference of the lake.

And it has been so nice.

Most of it has been in the shade.

There is a lot of families out just enjoying like leisurely stroll.

And I was surprised to see that there is some people living here and also that there is

people aside from tourists like there is fishermen and other people out on the lake enjoying

it so I'm really glad to see that.

I'm glad to see a bit of a local flavor to this lake not just pure touristy.

I almost feel like I wanted to order two pieces and no it is a giant piece of cake you won't

be able to eat it.

But it is so light.

The reason I do that is because when we order two you usually only have half so I end up

having one and a half and then I have a belly ache the rest of the day.

Isn't it creamy?

Creamy and smooth.

After eating our slice of Bled Cream Cake (blejska kremšnita), or Kremsnita, it was

finally time to arrange a boat ride to Bled Island.

While you can rent your own row boat to take out on the island, we chose to pay the 14

Euros per person to have someone else do the hard work.

However, if you're with a group of friends or travelling with family, it's definitely

cheaper to just rent a boat and row it yourself.

Well hello there.

We made it to the island.

Yeah, we sure did.

Bled Island.

Yeah.

It was 14 Euros and that includes your return trip so basically it is a 20 minute boat ride,

you get 40 minutes on the island and then 20 minutes to go back.

Yeah.

So altogether just over an hour and a half.

Yeah.

The other alternative was actually rowing your own boat.

And we weren't going to do that.

Not after the beer and cake.

That would have been a bad idea.

No way.

Alright guys so there is only two things you can do on this tiny little island.

You can either pay to visit the church and ring a bell and make a wish or you can spend

your money on ice cream.

And clearly we had our priorities in mind so I got caramel.

Let me try it.

In a waffle cone.

It is pretty darn good.

And I got mango and it is really good.

I've already been eating this.

I'm happy with my decision in life.

Bled Island is very small and it got pretty crowded even though it was low season.

Forty minutes turned out to be plenty of time to climb up, have a look around, and enjoy

some ice cream.

Okay so here we are guys.

We are having a quick dinner right by the bus terminal.

Kebab.

We found some kebabs and yeah the last bus that left was totally full and even not everyone

could get on so we're just going to wait another hour for the next one.

We also needed to use the washroom as well.

And you get the toilets.

The bus station was closed so yeah.

Yeah.

So we came here grabbed a bite, refreshed ourselves and hopefully we'll catch the bus

at seven and I think that is going to be it.

Yeah.

We had a great time here.

I should mention something to keep in mind is that the ticket offices they close pretty

early.

Like everything is shut down so I think we're going to have to buy the ticket off of the

driver.

So there is a tip for you.

Hopefully that works.

Back to Ljubljana.

Back to Ljubljana.

Now one last piece of advice: we visited in the off-season and at the end of the day,

we found out there were not enough buses to transport everyone from Lake Bled back to

Ljubljana.

We weren't able to get on one bus because it was full, so we waited an hour and a half

for the next one.

By then, more day-trippers like us had gathered, and once again, not everyone could get on

the bus, leaving a lot of people stranded, having to find a taxi or other alternative.

There was a lot of pushing and shoving, and many visitors with prepaid tickets were visibly

upset.

Because our bus was full, this also meant that even though there were several scheduled

stops on the way back to Ljubljana, we couldn't pick up any passengers along the way, many

of them who had been waiting for hours.

Lake Bled has experienced a boom in tourism, but the infrastructure to transport people

hasn't quite caught up yet.

After a nice day visiting Bled, getting out of there proved to be very chaotic and stressful.

Hopefully things will change in the future, but until then, know that leaving at the end

of the day can be tricky.

A Guide To Ho Chi Minh City's Bui Vien Backpacker Street - Matthew Pike

Bui Vien Street in the backpackers area of Ho Chi Minh City represents many different

things to many different people.

For those who love it, Bui Vien is a spectacle of vice that makes for some of the best entertainment

you can buy.

For others, it's a testament to all that is depraved and ugly in humanity.

Regardless of your moral stance, Bui Vien is a name that elicits strong reactions from

anyone who has spent even just one night in the city—and here's why.

What is Bui Vien?

In the daytime, Bui Vien Street is an eight-minute walk through a valley of malignant infrastructure

and sheer cement walls.

There are restaurants, massage parlors, hotels, hostels, pubs, souvenir shops, go-go bars

and travel agencies.

Visibly hungover tourists wander through the wet heat with a constant look of fear as hawkers

prowl for the more gullible among them.

Traffic roars by at dangerous speeds, and a hint of exhaust lingers in the hazy air.

Bui Vien is as touristy as it gets in Ho Chi Minh City.

It's the epicenter of an entire industry—a rich vein of cash that feeds many.

For backpackers, Bui Vien is a Vietnamese Mecca.

A bit of history

Bui Vien grew out of the post-war stagnation by offering accommodations to those new global

travelers who could afford plane tickets but not the pleasure of staying in places with

names like Majestic, Continental or Caravelle.

When Vietnam began encouraging tourism, after it opened its economy in the late eighties,

foreigners showed up with more cash in their pockets than a Vietnamese farmer made in an

entire year.

Families converted the bottom floors of their homes into places catering to tourists.

Since then, the business model of Bui Vien hasn't changed much—just brighter signs

and different owners.

It's when the sun goes down that Bui Vien comes to life, though.

Nothing can compare to walking down Bui Vien around midnight in the middle of peak tourism

season—dozens of shops hiding behind metal security gates, crowds in tiny plastic chairs

on the sidewalks, and music vibrating your organs with overlapping beats from all the

pubs, bars and clubs lining the street.

Below you, strewn garbage and filth.

Above, an orange sky and schizoid power lines.

There's a weird kind of nervous energy to the scene, like everyone knows something violent

could erupt any second.

Bui Vien feels like a powder keg, full of people either about to unleash some primal

desire, or those who stand to profit from the transaction.

Bui Vien is first and foremost an industry that feeds off money, and as far as the locals

are concerned, addicts and perverts have money as well.

Some of the faces on Bui Vien are regulars—junkies, dopes, prostitutes, sloppy drunks, hardened

criminals, cynical expats, skittish dealers and perverts of all sorts.

There's no mistaking Bui Vien's underworld aura.

Petty criminals roam the area in search of electronics and other easy grabs.

Drug dealers with raspy voices basically fall over themselves to read their menus to foreigners.

Girls line the street, hoping to lure people into dubious massage parlors.

Disputes over turf happen all the time.

It's normal to see trained fighters whack each other while crowds of skeletal underlings

toss around bottles and chairs and tables.

Despite all the glaring drawbacks of Bui Vien, it continues to thrive.

Most visitors arrive through some combination of curiosity and proximity, and even though

a majority of people rightfully despise Bui Vien and all it stands for, their stories

attract hundreds of new visitors every day, checking in to see what the fuss is all about.

The only constant is change

Bui Vien is reality TV without any producers or censors.

It's unabashedly real in the most unreal way possible.

But, like everything does in due time, Bui Vien is changing.

Every year brings new fluorescent convenience stores and garish beer clubs pushing out the

old scene that made the street famous.

As Vietnam's market economy matures, companies and officials will eventually purge anything

that even hints of risk.

Bui Vien is ugly and dangerous—but it wouldn't be famous if it was any other way.

Bui Vien and Khao San Road in Bangkok

Khao San Road in Bangkok is a road map for Bui Vien.

These days, Khao San Road is a false advertisement—a reputation that no longer matches its reality.

Too many naive tourists got cuffed and extorted, so the illusion died a slow and weird death.

Just as Khoa San Road went from an exotic adult playground to a gaudy tourist trap,

so too will Bui Vien.

The only advantage that Bui Vien has at the moment is that the people who've sworn oaths

and allegiances get paid more to keep the status quo than they do to enforce laws.

Tips to keep safe

There's no place like Bui Vien anywhere else in the world, and probably for good reason.

Here are a few tips to keep you out of trouble:

Hide your valuables.

Seriously.

Every day people lose cameras, phones, etc…

The men selling drugs on the corners are all notorious cheats.

If anyone starts getting aggressive, get out of there.

Things escalate quickly on Bui Vien.

Discuss prices beforehand.

Ignoring the sellers is the best way to say no.

A smile will keep them there even longer.

Watch your drinks, especially in the dance clubs.

Be nice to the staff and they'll have your back if things get wild.

There are undercover police, so be at least a bit discreet.

Marijuana is technically illegal, but people smoke it openly.

Pay as you go.

Surprises on the bill at the end of the night are common.

Mr. Speaker, when I asked him about his decision to remove listing female genital mutilation

as a crime from Canada's citizenship guide, the Prime Minister said he scolded the Liberian

government.

However, reports obtained by Global News show the Canada Border Services Agency has been

on the alert for the arrival in Canada of practitioners of FGM for more than a year.

I ask again.

Knowing this, will the Prime Minister reverse his decision to delete listing FGM as a crime

from Canada's citizenship guide?

Mr. Speaker, female genital mutilation is an abhorrent and unacceptable practice and

it is against the law.

Canada has and will continue to make efforts to prevent and address FGM, and through our

gender-based violence strategy, front-line service providers will have the resources

to better respond to the needs of survivors of gender-based violence, including survivors

of female genital mutilation.

Our government will always defend and promote women's and girls' rights at home and globally

Mr. Speaker.

The Toronto Star has reported that government documents show that Canadian girls are being

taken abroad to undergo female genital mutilation.

This report also noted that Canada is lagging far behind other developed countries in efforts

to prevent this from happening.

Part of combatting this prevention needs to be arming women with knowledge of their rights,

especially those that are new to Canada.

Mr. Speaker, as you know, our government is committed to a comprehensive reform of the

Conservative citizenship guide because it does not fully represent Canadians.

The Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship is consulting more broadly with

a broader range of stakeholders, including national Aboriginal organizations and subject

matter experts.

The new guide will better represent Canada's diversity and will give more space to under-represented

groups, such as women, the LGBTQ community, Francophone communities and First Nations.

I want to clarify that the guide is still in development.

We will analyze all comments received to make informed decisions.

A Beginner's Guide To the Mac App Switcher (#1543) - Duration: 3:48.

If you're new to Mac one of the things you may not be using yet is the App Switcher.

You may not even recognize the term App Switcher.

All it simply means is the keyboard shortcut to be able to go from one app to another.

So here I have a very crowded desktop with a whole bunch of different apps running.

I can look in the Dock here and I can see which apps are running by looking for the

dot underneath the app and I can click on an app to go to it.

But if I want to do it with a keyboard shortcut and not be bothered with bringing up the Dock

and looking for things I can use the App Switcher which is simply the keyboard shortcut.

Command, that's command not control, and the Tab key.

Now the way I want to do this keyboard shortcut is I want to hold the Command key down first

and then press Tab.

As soon as I do that it brings up the App Switcher.

You can see it here.

It overlays everything on the screen and shows me all the apps that are running with large

icons.

I can see the second app is highlighted.

That's because by activating it I hit the Tab key once.

So I've moved from the current app which is Mail, the one on the left, to the next app

which is ScreenFlow, which is what I'm using to record this.

Now I can continue to hit the Tab key.

This whole time I'm holding down the Command key.

I have not let my finger off the Command key.

I tap the Tab key over and over again to move the highlight from one app to the other.

When I get to the app I want, for instance Notes here, I release the Command key.

Then Notes is the one that's brought to the front.

Now I'll do it again.

I'll hold the Command key down, continue to hold it, and I'll tap the Tab key once.

It brings it up and you can see it's in a new order.

Notes is now all the way on the left.

That was the one I had running in the front.

The one I had running in the front before that is Mail.

So it's the second one in line.

I can continue to use the Tab key to move between all of them.

When I get to the one I want, like System Preferences, I release the Command key and

it brings that one to the front.

Now you can do this very quickly.

If you want to switch between the two apps that you're using the most, say for instance

I'm going between System Preferences and Notes all the time, I can do Command, Tab, release;

Command, Tab, release.

It's going to go between these two.

Not so useful for those two apps but say you're doing research and you're writing something.

So you're switching between Pages and Safari all the time.

Then it would be more useful.

Command, Tab, Command Tab to go between those two apps.

Now you can so some other things with the App Switcher as well.

For instance, as I'm holding the Command key down and using Tab, if I use the Shift key

in addition I go backwards on the list.

But I don't have to actually go backwards because if I continue all the way to the right

and do it one more time it loops around.

It goes to the first one.

So I can go through all the apps just by hitting Tab over and over again.

Another thing I can do here is I can Quit apps.

So say I look at this and say boy, I don't really need iTunes running.

I still have the Command key held down this entire time and I'm going to tap Q rather

than tab.

Instead of going to the next app in line which is Photos, it's going to Quit the current

app.

So iTunes now gets Quit and you can see it moves the highlight over to Photos.

So I can use this as a way to Quit apps that I have running as well.

So it's a handy little thing to be able to use the App Switcher to basically go back

and forth between all the apps that you have running, bring each one to the front without

having to take your hands off the keyboard especially if you're busy typing in various

apps that you're using.

First Time In Bratislava, Slovakia | Travel Guide + Vlog - Duration: 5:56.

Hi guys, welcome to Bratislava! And this is Christianne from Backpacking Bananas. What we're going to

be doing today is just exploring the city. We came here from Vienna and you

have three ways of getting here. You have the train, bus or boat - which would have

been exciting, but we took the train. It took us one hour from the main station

in Vienna. And it costs 20 euros? 20 euros for a return ticket! Which is really

quite affordable. Hello, how are you? Hi, thanks! Thank you! That's not the first time that's happened. No!

We started the day off at the Kamzik TV tower which is

a really cool place. It was awesome! Right? You definitely need to go. We are on our way

We are on our way to the Kamzik TV tower which is quite far away from the train station, but it will take us

about 10 minutes in the car. And one good tip for you guys - don't get a taxi here.

Get an Uber because the taxis will rip you off knowing that you're not a local.

So... We just sat down here in the Kamzik TV tower and it is completely empty. We

are the only ones here. And I was telling Christianne actually booked the entire

restaurant. But that's not true...

The special thing about this restaurant is that it revolved. All the way around! Yeah.

You can see the whole way around Bratislava and other countries as well apparently.

Yeah apparently on a good day - which is not really today - you can see the Czech

Republic and you can see Austria and Slovakia of course. So you see three

countries from here which is insane! It's crazy. We just got our food and I have to

say even though they don't have anything vegan on the menu ,they were super nice

about it and they just created a dish for me. So that's really just really nice

of them. If you don't want to pay the extortionate prices for the 360

restaurant, you can come to the bistro which also looks really nice and has

beautiful views. Um, this is what I call a toilet with a view. Look at that! We're

just waiting for an Uber back into town but we found this little gallery inside

the tower which is quite cool. They have a lot of paintings here but they cost

400 euros a piece, so I don't think I'll be taking any home. Here he comes,

our knight in shining armour! Eddie goes fast! Now we're in front of the Blue Church - or the

Modry Kostel as it's called here in Slovakia. And it looks gorgeous. I've seen it

on Instagram before but it is even more beautiful in real life. The surroundings

however are not that impressive. So this is what that looks like, then you

just have, you know, some...

So the church is closed but we're going to look in through the window at least.

Look, everything in there is blue as well!

So we've clearly found the nice part of Bratislava. Because up until now we've

kind of been on the outskirts and now we're approaching the city centre. And we

have high hopes, because so far it looks nice but just nothing really stands out.

So hopefully the city centre is amazing. And now we're here on the main square of

Bratislava and it's really quite beautiful.

Which I have to say is a relief. Because we've heard very mixed reviews

about Bratislava. Very mixed reactions. And our reaction when we got here was also quite mixed. We got the

Uber driver who was driving us through the city and we were like... ok. But then when you walk right into the centre it's really nice.

Now we're just gonna go explore. We have no plan, we know nothing about Bratislava.

Everyone's staring at us! We're gonna stop now, bye. The one thing I've noticed about the main square

is that it's full of different embassies. So you have like the French flag right

here and there's a lot of them. So I've never actually seen this in any other

city, where they'd have the embassy right on the main square. So that's quite nice

of them. So apparently these statues are all over the city and you can do a

little trail where you just follow and find all of them.

We're coming across some pretty dubious advertising like this bar behind me

which bills itself as the hottest, most sexist and sexiest bar. Which is the

worst advertising in the world.

Alright so we have just walked up towards the

castle and now we're searching for the actual castle. And for some reason we

haven't found it yet but I promise we will. And that right there is where we were this morning.

It's here! So you walk up a lot of stairs but it's great. you get your butt a little bit toned. I prefer the

view than the castle. Yeah. Controversial opinion but I kind of agree.

Yeah. It's a nice castle though it's been inhabited since the

Stone Age. Wow! Bratislava castle, stahp it!

Now we're gonna get our third view of the day. We're going a

little overboard and we're going right there in the distance.

It's called the UFO bar and that's where we're headed next. So we're really excited and we're gonna get

some cocktails. Yaaas!

We're just making our way to the UFO Tower and it turns out

there's a lot of really pretty side streets in this area. So here are a few...

It took us a while to find it, but this is the way you go across the bridge and

towards the UFO!

We've made it to the top of the UFO Tower and the views are incredible! I'm

really glad we came at night actually. Because we got an amazing view in the

morning from Kamzik, then we've got a really great one from the castle and now

this is pretty epic. And the lights look beautiful!

Today we went from here to here and now we're here.

What's up? You're watching Vagabrothers,

and this is Peru.

What's going on Vagabuddies?

Welcome back to the channel.

Right now we are in Lima, Peru.

It's our first time coming to this country,

and we are super excited to be here.

We've got a lot of things to tell you.

We're in Peru because we're part of a program at YouTube to make four virtual reality videos,

and we're going to make a VR tour of Machu Picchu.

But we didn't want to come all the way down here for just a couple of days.

So we've arrived a little bit early to explore Cusco and Lima, as well.

To capture the experience better,

we're bringing along our friend and colleague, Carlos Mason,

the cinematographer behind East of Eden and our virtual reality

mentor, DJ, to help us capture Machu Picchu,

the best we possibly can.

It's going to be an awesome adventure.

We're going to eat well.

We're going meet some Peruvian friends.

We're going to explore the culture and the history.... all of that jazz,

but first things first:

here's what you've got to know about Peru.

Peru is a land of contrasts, both ancient and modern,

indigenous and European.

And with over 90 micro climates,

it's one of the most biodiverse places on earth.

The coast has great surfing.

The Andes are the largest mountain range in the world after the Himalaya.

Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable

lake in the world and the largest in South America.

Plus, it's just fun to say.

Titicaca.

Peru was home to the Inca Empire known as Tawantinsuyu

or the Empire of the Four Cardinal Points.

It's golden era only lasted around a hundred years until the Spanish arrived in 1532 and Pizarro

captured, ransomed, and murdered their Emperor Atahualpa before ransacking their capital, Cusco.

Pizarro then moved the capital to Lima, which he called the City of Kings.

It became the capital of and most important city in

the Viceroyalty of Peru, which was essentially all of Spanish Latin America.

Today Lima is still the capital.

It's home to about a third of Peru's 32 million people,

and it's the driest capital on earth,

except for Cairo.

Peru has more shamans in any other country in the world,

thanks to the Amazon where the local drug ayahuasca has been used as a medicine for thousands of years.

Meanwhile in the Andes, locals use coca leaves, the base ingredient for cocaine

to combat hunger and altitude sickness.

Don't worry. It's not addictive, but does make your tongue go kind of numb.

Today 45% of Peruvians are indigena, making it one of the most indigenous countries in South America.

15% are Criollo,

Peruvian born Spanish, and 37% are mestizo or mixed.

Peru was also home to a small but active Japanese community,

which came here in the 1800s to escape the Shogun Wars

and left their mark through Peruvian Japanese fusion cuisine known as Nikkei.

Peruvian food has had a massive impact on global cuisine.

Ireland would not have the potato,

America would not have corn,

and there would be no Indian curries without chilies from Peru,

all brought overseas by Portuguese and Spanish traders.

For some reason Peru's national dish cuy didn't catch on.

In English we call it the guinea pig

because sailors who used to go from Lima to London would stop in West Africa, and

merchants thought that's where it came from.

Lima is one of the best foodie cities in the world,

and it's the only city to have two restaurants in the global top ten,

including Central, the best restaurant in Latin America,

which was recently featured on season three of Chef's Table.

That's a big cactus.

Ready to book your ticket?

Here's what you need to know before you fly.

The currency in Peru is called the Nuevo Sol and there's about three solace to a dollar.

Peruvian power outlets are 220 volts, and they take both US style and European style plugs.

A 2 for 1.

Beyond Spanish there's two main languages in Peru:

Quechua the ancient language of the Inca spoken in the Andes and Aymara one of the oldest

languages in the world spoken in the Lake Titicaca region,

not to mention 27 other languages in the Amazon.

So if you're a linguist, if you like speaking languages,

this is the country for you.

Budget-wise, Peru's a mid-level destination.

You can easily get by on less than $50 a day or even $40, which makes it cheaper than Chile,

but more expensive than Bolivia.

Peru is near the equator and can be visited all year long.

June to August at the dry season

is great for hiking the Inca Trail.

December to March is the hot season -perfect for the beach.

You can save money in the shoulder season September to November

or March to May when the weather is still pretty good

and there's not that many tourists.

From the ocean to the Andes,

Peru has tons of different climates,

so it's super important to pack in layers.

A waterproof shell is essential- it rains a lot up here- as is a stuffable jacket because it does get cold.

Or you could just pick up a nice alpaca sweater from one of the many markets for ten dollars U.S.

Peru is a rugged country, so make sure you have the right footwear.

Even if you're just planning on walking around Machu Picchu, bring solid hiking boots.

It rains a lot. It's muddy, and it's slippery.

All right, I'm stoked.

We have never been to Peru before.

This is the home of the Inca Empire.

It's really a place that we've wanted to visit for a super long time.

We're very excited to be down here to be filming.

He said that it's part of the Incan Empire,

but the Inca Empire was really the most recent of many.

There were tons of civilizations here,

including here in Lima, which although it is a Spanish colonial city,

it's named after the Lima people.

We're on our way to go see

some of the remains of that civilization from about 400 AD.

And then we're going to get food.

Supposedly, there's really, really good food in Lima.

First stop here in Lima and our first stop here in Peru is Huaca Pucllana

This is the remains of a temple from the Lima people who were the original inhabitants of the city before the arrival the Spanish.

Unfortunately, it's closed today.

We're not allowed to go up there, and you can only do guided tours,

but you can see behind us is just this crazy pyramid full of basically adobe bricks.

And it's in the middle of the city

And I think it just goes to show the contrast between old- new here in Peru.

You have some of the oldest, most advanced civilizations in all the Americas

right in the middle of a bustling metropolis.

Honestly though it's just mind boggling that this entire complex is made of individual bricks.

There has to be hundreds of thousands, if not

millions of bricks, and the pyramid just over there has so many different layers.

It must have been quite the task to excavate this place, archaeologically speaking.

Total bummer that we can't go explore more, but we're going to go see the more modern layer of

Peruvian history here- that of the Spanish.

We've just arrived to the Plaza de Armas just in front of us here.

And like we said, Peru is playing Colombia tonight.

Their national football teams are facing up.

We didn't know that the game was going to be happening when we planned this day.

We came here because this is the center of old Spanish Lima.

When the Spanish conquered the Inca, they moved the capital from Cusco to Lima.

They built all their houses right here.

Anyways, the game's about to start. So let's just go jump in there and see what happens.

We finally found a quiet spot so I can explain why the Spanish built the city here.

It's because of this river.

Basically, the river connects the mountains all the way down the Port of Callao

and the Spanish built a city on the coast.

They were a seafaring nation.

In order to take the silver and gold from the Inca and

ship it off to Spain.

This was the capital of the Viceroyalty of Peru.

There were three Viceroyalties at the time:

one in Mexico,

one in Lima, and the other one the Española,

the first island the Spanish colonized.

And the whole thing was about shipping gold back to Spain.

Pretty much all of Spanish South America was controlled from this city.

It became very, very powerful and the old Inca capital of

Cusco kind of faded into history.

The conquista, the Spanish conquista of Latin America was one of the most brutal

periods of history.

They destroyed some of the most incredible

indigenous cultures,

Including the Inca and the Aztecs,

and it is a part of history.

It's not a pretty one, but

It's just kind of interesting to see how all of this stuff blends five hundred years later.

We're in the neighborhood of Pueblo Libre at Taberna Queirolo

It was basically founded by Italian immigrants who came here to grow Pisco.

Pisco, you might have heard of from a Pisco Sour,

but it's actually a grape liqueur.

The story is that during colonial times, the Spanish would not let locals grow their own wine

because they were importing it from Spain.

So the locals made a liquor

from grapes instead of making wine ..that's pisco.

These guys came from Italy to grow the Pisco,

and they still do.

I've ordered a Pisco puro,

which is just pure Pisco,

and Alex and Carlos got a Pisco Sour.

All right salud. Here's to a good week here in Peru.

This is actually my first Pisco Sour ever.

We've had a realization.

As we are almost the only people in this room and everybody else is in the other room watching futbol.

It's insane to see how important it is globally.

When the World Cup happens, national fever is

expressed in a competitive,

but collaborative way, and I think that America is just so

self-centered with our sports.

We're so wrapped up with the NFL and with Major League Baseball.

The World Series is not a World Series.

It's cool to come abroad and to see people so excited

about futbol.

But just to correct you.

You said you're an American whereas people here also say that they are Americans too because in Spanish,

America is one continent, not two.

Although you are a united.. you're a "estadounidense"" Soy gringo.

We have made it back to the hotel.

Good job, Peru. Good job, Colombia

You guys tied in the game,

but we have just begun our time here in Peru.

I think watching a football match, especially that we didn't know it was going to happen,

was a pretty good way to kind of get right into the local way of doing things.

I would say it's like diving

directly into the deep end.

As soon as it appeared at the Exhibition,

Scorpion immediately gained enough downloads and likes to get the first place.

This is a Leviathan among usual crafts:

power parameters will get it against heavy and well-armed enemies.

The craft is huge, equipped with everything you might need,

meant for experienced players and obviously created to win every fight.

The golden dye is basically screaming at you: "what's up, people, I'm one of the tops."

The tank is based on Quantum cabin, under the cover—pretty much all the possible improvements.

There is an Apollo generator, radar detection device, a Neutrino scope, hydrocooling, Chameleon Mk2,

and increased ammo.

Cheetah engine reloads weaponry and modules for the covered distance,

while also provides decent speed for 11 tons of metal; moving parts are both wheels and caterpillars.

There are two Scorpions, which gave the craft its name.

Hatchets at the front, we believe, are supposed to cover the wheels from close-range damage.

When you get behind the Scorpion wheel, you immediately realize the scale of the work done.

The craft balancing took hours in the garage.

Both moving and driveability are amazing:

the craft is surprisingly fast for its size,

while swivel wheels of Mechanics, despite the acceptable cabin power fine,

are doing beautifully with maneuverability.

Structure points allow for the combat initiative:

you can both fight from afar and withstand sufficient damage in the middle of the battle.

It's better to fire not haphazardly, but right at the wheels or weaponry junctions:

then they come off spectacularly, literally after one shot.

There should be no problem with aiming either.

As with any expensive car, only an experienced rider should get behind the wheel of Scorpion.

However,

we've seen so little of such functional crafts in this category—

apart from the classics analyzed in the first episodes of the Garage,

which is why—

a top score and a genuine recommendation to get a closer look at this one are needed!

Survivors often paint their crafts with anything they can get their hands on—what…?

it's the Apocalypse, not a bridal show.

But that's a big mistake.

The looks of the craft may say a lot about the owner,

including battle record, participating in milestone events and completing unique missions.

In the end,

it's just the explainable and understandable care of the looks of your craft—you spend hours behind its wheel.

Today in the Weaponry section we analyze all the game dyes,

while also recommending a couple of winning combinations.

This special episode of the Weaponry was inspired by the guide of Steam user Shram.

We've studied, reworked and updated it.

Dyes are sorted by rareness, as are other parts.

Some of them are mixable:

this means you can get a next level dye

out of several spray cans of one category with additional resource payment.

Most dyes can be bought on the market or obtained on your own,

but some are already unavailable and may be found only in the boxes.

Let's start with plain colors.

This category includes the following:

Heavy Clouds,

Haze,

Cherry,

Khaki 1,

Khaki 2,

Khaki 3,

Iguana,

Wasteland,

Twilight,

Polar Lights,

Amulet,

Clear Sky,

Magnetic Field,

Leach and Ashes.

Unmixable colors of the same category are given for certain reputation achievements in Mechanics faction:

Solvent (zero level),

Isotope-239 (second level),

Tornado (seventh level),

Bromine (eighth level),

Sandstorm (fifteenth level)

and Oasis (twenty first).

To mix basic rare dyes you need 10 spray cans, 5 coins, 450 scraps and 50 copper sheets.

Rare mixable dyes are the following:

White,

Electron,

Last Dusk,

Ocean,

Coral,

Patterns Pine and Larch,

Red Giant,

Victory,

Emerald,

Bumblebee and Midnight.

It's a bit more complex with unmixable dyes.

Easy Target and Jacklighter were given during Halloween.

Players could get Blackboard and Calendar in exchange for resources and fragments

for visiting the game every day during a limited period of time.

Those Survivors ready to mix rare colors

should get 10 corresponding dyes, 20 coins, 250 scraps, 750 wires and 150 copper sheets.

Epic dyes are not very common.

Those include:

Patterns:

Forest,

Danger,

Sea,

Checkers,

Urban,

Rust,

Dune

and also Material: Grid.

Epic unmixable dyes were given by results of achievements.

Pattern: Crash Tester was given to those participating in alpha-testing.

Players of combat testing were given Pattern: Tribal,

and Material: Snake was open in the inventory of closed beta-testing veterans.

Material: Alligator was given for resources and fragments,

collected during melees won for a certain time.

One could get Patterns: Graffiti Dusk and Underdog, along with Metal Fatigue in the similar way.

Harvest was given away during Halloween, Pattern: Graffiti Dawn was a special set from a game exhibition.

To celebrate launching US servers we've given away Lone Ranger Stars and Stripes.

There are only two mixable legendary dyes: Gold and Chrome.

Unmixable dye of the similar rareness called Death Mask was given during Halloween.

Survivors can get the following dyes from the sets:

Materials: Carbon,

Aluminum,

Quartz,

Burnt Land,

Digital Desert,

Will o'Wisp,

Lava,

Lightning,

Flame,

as well as Colors:

White Sun,

Red Moon,

Dark Red,

and Mirage Metallic.

During the Knechts event riders could obtain such dyes as:

Materials: Mitten,

Teutonic Cross,

Teutonic Eagle,

and Teutonic Ribbon.

Finally, to celebrate launching Australian servers we've given away Patterns: Edge of the World and Aboriginal.

This means there are now several dozens of kinds of dyes for your craft in the Wastes.

Drone nerf is insufficient, that's why drone-abusing players aren't going anywhere.

After the patch Sidekick has become way more modest in terms of damage and shooting distance parameters,

while also significantly losing in operational range.

It's initial purpose was a defence drone, capable of leaving the owner for a short distance,

but not as heavily attached to it as Falcon or Owl.

There are no plans to fully remove this type of weaponry from the game,

Melees is a unique mode with unusual gameplay, different from PvE and PvP.

Reward sizes, which you can get in Melees and Missions, are now pretty much equal, which seems just.

We would like the gamers to appreciate not only the reward, but also the game process.

which should be seen in the context of updated cabin tonnage and critical mass parameters.

We find ourselves in a new destination.

We are currently in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

We've only been here a few days but I can already say this is one of our new favorite

cities in Europe.

Yeah, it sure is.

It is just been so charming.

It is small, so easy to navigate on foot and we've just been having a lot of great experiences

here.

So we're going to show you 10 different things you can do here in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Let's go check it out.

So we are starting out sightseeing here right in the center of town.

We are in Preseren Square (Prešernov trg).

Beautiful pink church behind us and guess what we also have 3 bridges.

Prešeren Square is a central meeting spot in the heart of the Old Town, so it made sense

to start our tour of Ljubljana here.

The square is named after Slovene national poet, France Prešeren, and this is where

you'll also find the Franciscan Church of the Annunciation (Frančiškanska cerkev),

lots of gelato shops, and the baffling bridge we just mentioned.

As for the reasoning behind the Triple Bridge (Tromostovje), it turns out that at one point

there was only one bridge, which wasn't wide enough to handle vehicles and pedestrians.

To prevent a bottleneck, an architect decided it would make sense to build two additional

bridges for pedestrians on either side of the middle bridge.

Of course, today, the whole area is closed to traffic, so that leaves visitors with 3

bridges to choose from.

So Sam you've been finding all of these bridges pretty fascinating but this one in particular.

I've been most fascinated by this bridge for one very particular good reason.

And I've seen a lot of love lock bridges around the world but I've never seen one so organized.

Normally there are way too many love locks.

It is almost like tearing down the bridge but here they are like almost like perfectly

symmetrical.

There is not too many.

It is very tidy.

It is the tidiest love lock bridge I have ever seen.

And this is not the only fascinating bridge.

If you just look over here I believe that one is called the dragon's bridge and we're

going to go walk to that one next.

If you keep walking east along the river, you will come across the famed dragon bridge

(Zmajski most), which is guarded by four dragons - one on each corner.

Legend has it that Jason, a hero from ancient Greek mythology, founded this city and killed

a dragon, so that explains the bridge and the numerous dragon statues you'll see scattered

around Ljubljana.

Alright, so after walking across a gazillion bridges it feels we have finally reached the

central market (Osrednja ljubljanska tržnica).

Yes.

It smells amazing.

We're in the flower section right now.

Yeah.

And it like fresh blooms.

Yeah, so we are noticing lots of flowers.

Also there is a really big fruit and produce section and there is also another section

on the other side which is selling souvenirs.

Yeah, and all that being said we are visiting in the middle of the week and it is also late

in the afternoon so it is not super busy.

A lot of the stands are starting to shut down but it still looks really pretty.

So let's have a look.

If markets are your thing, Ljubljana's Central Market is another spot worth checking out.

Aside from fresh produce, plants and flowers, we also noticed a few food trucks along the

perimeter where you can grab a meal on the go.

And while you're in the area, just west of the market you have Ljubljana Cathedral

(ljubljanska stolnica), also known as St. Nicholas Church, which is another major landmark

in the Old Town.

We had big sightseeing plans on our second day in Ljubljana, but first up, we needed

to sample some Slovenian food so we went to Allegria.

Sam ordered Zlikrofi (zhlee-krofi), a Slovenian dumpling stuffed with potato, which came with

a lamb goulash.

And I ordered the Slovenian sausage with cabbage and mashed potatoes.

Then for dessert, we had a layered pastry stuffed with poppy seeds, walnuts, apples,

raisins, and a light dusting of icing sugar.

All of that including wine was 28 Euros.

After a filling lunch, we were ready to kick off our sightseeing.

Our first stop: Ljubljana Castle (Ljubljanski grad - Laibacher Schloss), which sits on Castle

Hill overlooking the city.

Alright today the sightseeing commences with a visit to Ljubljana Castle and we just got

our tickets.

We paid 10 Euros per person and that was to take a ride about the funicular so we could

save our legs but it also included admission to the castle so not bad.

Originally built as a medieval fortress in the 11th century, Ljubljana Castle has seen

many redesigns and renovations.

If you're only wanting to visit the central courtyard, you can enter free of charge, however,

if you pay for the ticket, this allows you to climb the Outlook Tower which offers 360

degree views of the city.

Alright Sam, you ready to climb some more stairs?

Yeah, we've been burning off lunch and now we've got the spiral staircase.

Alright, lead the way.

I enjoy because I'm not a huge fan of heights and with this one you can really see all the

way down like you can see through the steps, you can see to the side oh my gosh.

But we're almost there.

Alright time for the next adventure.

Yeah, so we're going to be taking a river cruise and we're going to get really good

views of Ljubljana from a high vantage now it is time to see it from ground level.

Well, more specifically river level.

Yeah.

Let's do it.

How much was it?

Oh, it was 8 Euros per person.

There are a few different departures for cruises down the Ljubljanica.

We boarded a cruise directly underneath the Love Lock Bridge (Mesarski most), which is

actually called Mesarski Most.

This was our favourite activity in Ljubljana and it was a super relaxed way to watch the

city go by.

Alright, so I would say we got the best seats in the house.

We're up front.

Is that the bow or the helm?

I don't really know my boat lingo.

Put it this way we're sitting in lawn chairs yeah and we're going to have front row seats

so.

And we even have blankets like if you do this tour later on in the day it gets a bit chilly

so this is perfect.

Alright, so that was a lovely boat tour.

So so relaxing.

It was so relaxing you slept for half of it.

To be fair as soon as we got on we each got a glass of wine.

Sam got the red.

I had a glass of white.

Then you wrapped yourself up in a blanket and you were out like a you were as snug as

a bug.

I missed half the journey.

You really did.

But anyway it was gorgeous and that was a really good river cruise.

Some river cruises suck to be honest.

I was awake for the whole thing and it was really good.

It was nice and long.

city.

Well welcome to what is probably the most colorful neighborhood in the whole city.

We are currently in Metelkova and this area used to be an ex-army garrison and then it

was taken over by squatters in the 90s and they kind of started their own artsy commune

with their own rules.

There is lots of street art everywhere and this place kind of reminds me of a few different

spots we've visited this year.

One of them I'm thinking about is kiefernstraße in Düsseldorf.

Yeah.

Where they also had this squatting complex.

I mean we've seen a bit of this in Berlin.

There was that neighborhood in São Paulo.

Beco de Batman.

Yeah, Batman Alley.

Yeah.

And yeah it is really colorful so let's go have a look around.

Straight out of Star Wars.

Metelkova is home to a number of clubs and venues that host concerts, performances, and

exhibitions, but even if your visit doesn't coincide with one of these events, you can

still visit for the street art.

As for getting there, Metelkova is located across the train station and over a few blocks

east.

Now here's another restaurant recommendation.

One place we really enjoyed was Sarajevo 84, a restaurant specializing in Balkan cuisine.

Not only were the portions massive, but everything we ordered was absolutely delicious.

We had a feast featuring: grilled meat with pita and onions, baked beans and sausage,

roasted peppers, and a flaky pastry stuffed with cheese.

All of that food including dessert, only came to 23 Euros.

And if you're in the mood for museums right across from Tivoli Park you've got a whole

bunch of different museums and galleries for you to choose from but we're going to skip

that because we've had a long day and we have a big adventure coming up tomorrow.

What is the plan for tomorrow?

We're going to Bled.

But speaking of galleries and museums, a few you'll find in the area include: the National

Gallery (Narodna galerija), the Museum of Modern Art (Moderna galerija), and the National

Museum of Slovenia (Narodni muzej Slovenije).

Lastly, we finished off the day at Tivoli, which is the largest park in Ljubljana.

It's located west of the Old Town and it's home to numerous gardens.

We only visited a fraction of it, but it was a nice way to wind down the day and wrap up

our time in this city.

And that's it for our time in Ljubljana.

Our visit was short, tasty, and relaxing, and we're really glad we made some time

to visit this underrated capital.
