Chris Pratt has filed for divorce from Anna Faris. The Guardians of the Galaxy star filed legal documents to end their 8-year marriage on Friday citing irreconcilable differences, PEOPLE confirms.

The star has asked for joint custody of their son Jack, 5, according to the filing obtained by PEOPLE. Faris filed her response shortly after Pratt and is also asking for joint custody and the right to receive child support, according to TMZ.

The website also reports the two have a prenuptial agreement and are close to finalizing a property settlement.

  The separation date is listed as July 13, a month prior to when they publicly announced they were separating. "Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating.

We tried hard for a long time, and we're really disappointed," the couple said in a joint statement issued by Pratt on on Aug.

They added, "Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward.

We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another." The two met on the set of Take Me Home Tonight in 2007 and got engaged a year later before marrying in summer 2009.

Faris opened up about her separation from Pratt to PEOPLE in October, saying, "We'll always have each other and be incredible friends.

There is still so much laughter in our lives together, and he is so proud of me, still." She added, "We watched each other grow, and he still cracks me up all the time.

And I think I crack him up — unless he's a really good actor and great at faking laughter." The Mom star is currently dating cinematographer Michael Barrett, 47. The two have been spending time together since September after working on the new film Overboard.

They were first spotted together early that month and recently vacationed together in Venice, Italy. "Anna has been hanging out with Michael for weeks," a source told PEOPLE at the time.

"They were hanging out occasionally in September, but started seeing each other more frequently recently."  .

Shock poll: Brits now want SECOND Brexit referendum in backlash over divorce bill

  In a bid to secure a trade deal, Theresa May looks set to cave in to Brussels demands by handing over around £50 billion to settle the UK's financial obligations.

But a Survation poll for the Mail on Sunday showed many people thought the huge bill was a "punishment" for voting Leave.

It showed 31 per cent of people surveyed thought the UK should pay nothing at all, with only 11 per cent backing a payment of up to £50 billion.

And half of those polled now support holding a second referendum on the final Brexit deal. Just 34 per cent were against the idea with 16 per cent unsure.

Overall 43 per cent of people thought the EU had done best out of the stalling talks, with 16 per cent saying the UK was on top.

When asked why the UK was paying so much to Brussels, the most popular response was because the "EU wants to punish us", with Mrs May's weakens after her election fiasco coming in second.

The survey of 1,003 adults was carried out by Survation on Thursday and Friday, after reports of the bombshell payment. And the same polling company found Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has surged ahead of the Prime Minister in the popularity stakes.

Further polling showed Labour eight points ahead of the Tories at 45 per cent compared to just 37 per cent for Mrs May's party.

Today's news is another bitter blow for Mrs May who is already facing discontent from Eurosceptic MPs over the way negotiations have gone.

The Prime Minister is facing fresh calls from hardline Eurosceptics to walk away from the negotiating table if EU leaders refuse to sanction the start of the second phase of the Brexit talks at their December summit.

Tories including Jacob Rees-Mogg, John Redwood and former chancellor Lord Lawson have signed a letter urging her to refuse to settle the divorce bill unless Brussels agrees to a series of new demands.

And these include settling the terms of a free trade agreement in principle by the end of March 2018.

They also want an end to the jurisdiction of the European Court of Justice and the freedom of movement to the UK for EU nationals when the UK leaves a year later on March 30 2019.

On the opposition benches there appears to be growing support for a second referendum on the Brexit deal.

Vince Cable's Lib Dems back the idea and, in a letter to voters, Shadow Home Secretary Diane Abbott appeared to signal she backed anther poll. She later denied her support for a poll, which goes against official Labour policy.

European Council president Donald Tusk has given Mrs May until tomorrow to come forward with an improved offer on the terms of the UKs withdrawal.

That includes the divorce bill alongside ongoing concern about the Irish border, both red line issues which the EU wants clarity on before talks can move on to trade.

The Prime Minister is due to travel to Brussels tomorrow when she is expected to explain the latest British position at a lunch with European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker.

The news site reveals that Anna filed her response to the divorce at the same time, with both parents requesting joint custody of their son Jack, age five. Sources close to the couple told TMZ that the split is totally amicable.

Chris, 38, and Anna, 41, first met on the set of Take Me Home Tonight, and got engaged a year later before tying the knot in the summer of 2009.

Back in August, actress Patti Stanger revealed that Chris and Anna were still living together despite being separated.

Anna is now reportedly dating cinematographer , with the pair first spotted together in September. They were also seen together in November in Venice.

An onlooker told E! News: Michael had his hand on Annas back and she rested her head on his shoulder. They were checking out all of the architecture along the Grand Canal and pointing out different things.

They giggled together and made a few jokes as they enjoyed the ride and took in all of the scenery..

Louise Redknapp has reportedly filed divorce papers against husband Jamie as sources said there is no going back for the couple.

The former Eternal star and Strictly 2016 finalist announced her split from her footballer husband in July, claiming she had 'lost herself' in their 19 year marriage.

But despite recent reports that Louise was reconsidering her decision, its now been reported that she is making their separation official. They have come to a mutual agreement that divorce is the only option, a source told The Sun.

Louise has filed the paperwork and theres no going back. The couple are expected to reach an amicable agreement relating to the custody of their two sons – Charley, 13, and nine-year-old Beau – who have been living with their dad.

The former Eternal stars stint on Strictly has been cited as reigniting her desire to be in the limelight – with Louise previously saying that she felt like a Stepford Wife during her marriage.

Since then shes appeared on stage as Sally Bowles in a touring production of Cabaret as well as making moves to kickstart her pop career – but friends said she claimed Jamie was resistant to the changes, something which he has denied.

Louise tells everyone who will listen that Jamie didnt like her being back on stage, that he wanted her to be a wife and mum first, a source added. But he has told her he is stung by the accusation..

Jamie – who was seen without his wedding ring earlier this week, sparking further speculation over his marriage – recently revealed to metro. uk that he would be working over Christmas.

Asked about his plans for the festive season, Jamie said: 'To be honest, Christmas is such a busy time with the football and everything, I'm working.

'I've just had my schedule through and I'm working Boxing Day on Sky. So I'll be spending my Christmas on Boxing Day with Thierry Henry watching football.'.

Louise, meanwhile, recently opened up to Stella Magazine how being on Strictly changed everything for her. 'It's so hard because love him,' she added. 'He's an amazing man and we've had 20 good years together.

I know he's trying to understand that I need to do this. People might look at me and think I've got everything, but a sweeping staircase and designer handbag doesn't really do it for me.

'Being fulfilled, being true to yourself, following your passion, they are the things that make you happy.

A source tells E! News that everything between Chris and Anna is super amicable and that theyre trying to do whats best for Jack. TMZ reports Chris and Anna noted July 13, 2017 as their date of separation, less than a month before the celebrity couple went public with news of the surprise split.

His fame changed their dynamic publicly and in private.

Anna feels like she lost her voice throughout their marriage, like she lost her sense of self. Chris and Anna also had different parenting styles which caused a wedge in their relationship, the insider added.
