Auto news on Youtube Sep 27 2018

hi my name is Kristy Ploysel I'm thirty-five and the mother of two teenagers and I

live in Texas I'm doing this video to answer some questions people have about

press-on veneers I have mine in right now but I will take them out during the

video and explain to you some stuff about them

okay these are my veneers and we have the top part I do want the bottom

ones I'm working on that and okay I'm going to take them out I can't believe

I'm doing this because I don't like seeing my own teeth this is why I

got them I've had bad teeth my whole life and some of that's genetic and some of

it's just from a calcium deficiency you can also see if you look I'm missing

some teeth it's from bad decisions okay and they're not white the bottom ones are

not that bad but my top ones and I have a 16 year old daughter and she would tell me

mom your teeth they're not white they're yellow don't smile so much I think that

was the breaking point for me I wanted to make her proud of me and I wanted to

do things in life that I haven't done yet because my teeth and my smile were

holding me back and a friend of mine at work had the veneers and I thought they

were dentures at first and when I asked him he said no Google press-on

veneers he'd had them for like five years so I googled them and I did what

you're doing now I watched videos the videos don't always answer a lot of the

questions and in this one I'm going to okay

I spent a little over $1,000 for mine but I'm impatient they were posed to be

like supposed to be $790 I believe and I opted for the fast delivery so instead of waiting two

to three weeks I got mine in seven days okay I called the service thing and

asked some questions at first when she was explaining to me that it's

non-refundable once they start your veneers because that's really what

you're paying for you're paying for the craftsmanship you're paying for their

labor and once they start your veneers it's non-refundable and in my mind I was

thinking that's a lot of money and I'm not rich

this is why I haven't gone to the dentist right this is why I don't get a

them removed and have dentures because I'm not rich so spending that kind of money

on an online product was nerve-racking the next morning I woke up I called back I

spoke to the same lady she was there late at night and there in the morning

they have operators all night long and I told her take my credit card

information before I change my mind so I place the order and there's three

choices of colors when you get your indention kit you'll see that so she

took my money she sent me an indention kit in the mail within three days and

it's like a mouth guard that you put in your mouth with play-doh okay and you

hold it up on your teeth let it harden for about a minute

put it back in the self or prepaid envelope that they give you and you send

it back like I said I opted for the fast delivery because I'm impatient I wanted

mine quick so once they got mine at the lab they started right away and I had

them back to me within seven business days they come in the mail in a package and

I was really excited okay when you first get them you'll put them out of the

package they'll look like this okay you can see these the coverage goes all the way

around the back and all the way around the bottom

not just front coverage and it'll tell you to put them in hot water and I did

that so that makes them a little more pliable to your teeth and when you first

put them on you put them over your teeth and push them in and when you first get

them they're going to be a little tight okay you'll feel a little pressure on

your teeth but your teeth adjust took about two days for my teeth to address

okay they're in there good I can't yank on them and just pull them

out I actually have to pop them out usually I use my tongue on the back and

pop them out they cover all the way to the back okay the cover the whole gum line

they match your teeth perfectly they are made to fit your own teeth the thing I

like about these is they're sturdy everybody wants to know can you eat with

them I've never seen anyone on these videos eat so I'm going to answer your

question yes you can this is a crunchy taquito

see how country that is there's no "moverage" on them they stay in place

they don't go anywhere

perfect

a popsicle if you've ever seen these you know how hard they are no problem whatsoever

I eat with mine all the time now when you first get yours you can't eat

with them you have to let your teeth adjust I would take mine out during

meals and I worked my way into eating with them I would eat soft foods like

bread and stuff because I wasn't sure if you could eat with them but now I eat

everything I mean sometimes I'll take them out if I

want to eat like a well done steak or if I want to I guess chew on a jawbreaker or

something I'll take them out but when I'm at work I work at a busy restaurant I don't

have time to take my teeth out just to grab something small to eat so I eat

with them I don't take them out at restaurants when I go out I don't take

them out at home when I eat I do take them out at night it does say don't sleep in

them give your teeth rest I take them out at night I brush them when you take

them out at night when you brush your own teeth floss and stuff after you're done with

that brush your veneers your toothbrush fits nicely inside okay I'll run them under

hot water I'll brush them sometimes I'll even dip

them in Listerine just for the germ killing because your mouth is full of germs okay

and then I lay them either in the little gray case it comes with it's like a

retainer case or I'll put them on a shelf in my bathroom and I'll put them back in

the morning brush my teeth rinse them sometimes I dip them in hot water if

they're a little dry because you know it goes right up against your own teeth so

dip them in some hot water every morning shake them off really good because you don't

want that water behind there especially if your teeth are sensitive and put them

back in see nice and pretty I love my teeth

before I got them I was shy I didn't smile I took a lot of pictures but I

never smiled it was just that was my smile now I smile every day when I'm

talking when I take pictures I smile and I

was a server at Denny's it's a multi-million dollar restaurant for

three years and I never took that step to get that promotion that I wanted I

was good enough to be boss I just I wasn't confident enough when I got my

teeth I started the process I started working towards my goals and now I'm a

restaurant manager I'm moving to a different location where I'm going to

run help run my own store and it's all because snap-on veneers gave me that

confidence so if you're a little iffy and you don't know if you want them take

it from me it was well worth it I don't regret spending the money at all at all

I mean I would regret buying a movie online more than I would regret buying

these teeth they are well worth it my kid doesn't ever tell me not to smile

around her friends again like they're proud of me and I'm proud of myself

a smile can make the difference it can really boost your esteem and get you

where you want to go because the first impression people notice about you when

they meet you is your smile well I hope this video helped and if you have any

questions just ask them here or hit me up on Facebook

Texas State Gov't Comes to Aid of School Sued for Expelling Student over Pledge - Duration: 3:24.

The state of Texas is taking a bold stance on the Pledge of Allegiance, with Attorney

General Ken Paxton defending a school's expulsion of a student who sat during the

pledge without getting prior permission from her parents.

Last fall, student India Landry was expelled from Windfern High School in Houston for refusing

to stand several times for the pledge, according to the Houston Chronicle.

She said that she was inspired by NFL players, like former San Francisco 49ers quarterback

Colin Kaepernick, who knelt during the national anthem before football games.

With the help of her parents, she sued Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District claiming that

her free speech rights have been violated and the expulsion was racially motivated.

The lawsuit specifically accuses the principal, vice principal, secretary and two teachers

of "singling her out because she was black," according to the Chronicle.

The attorney general's court filing in defense of the school expressed the importance of

respecting the flag.

"The United States flag represents the values of liberty and justice that form the foundation

of this country and are defended by our armed forces," the court filing states, according

to the Chronicle.

"It is thus deserving of the highest levels of reverence and respect, which is expressed

through every recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance."

The filing noted that Texas law allows parents to inform schools they don't wish their

children to stand for the pledge, according to the Chronicle.

However, the Windfern student had no such authorization.

"Standing is not optional, however, for students whose parents have not filed the

letter, according to the court papers," the Chronicle reported.

Paxton explained the legality of the expulsion in a news release.

"School children cannot unilaterally refuse to participate in the pledge," Paxton said

in the statement.

"The Texas Legislature protected that interest by giving the choice of whether an individual

student will recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the student's parent or guardian,"

Paxton said.

Of course, the left is trying to obfuscate this legal matter by claiming Paxton is a

racist.

"His decision, as usual, is rooted in racism," Ashton Woods, lead organizer of Black Lives

Matter Houston, told the Chronicle.

Andre Segura, legal director for the ACLU of Texas, told the newspaper that Paxton is

trying to "foster division" by defending the school.

"Once again, it appears that Ken Paxton is using his authority to foster division

within our state through political posturing," Segura said.

However, the left is missing the point.

The critics failed to dispute Paxton's assertion that the school was well within its legal

rights to expel an uncooperative student who refused to participate in the Pledge of Allegiance

without a letter from a parent.

Texas should be applauded for its decision to stand with, and stand for, the Pledge of

Allegiance.

The Basics of Texas School Finance - Duration: 2:20.

There's been a lot of talk about how the Texas public school finance system needs to be fixed.

But what's wrong with the current system?

Let's take a look.

The system supports more than 5.3 million students

8,700 campuses,

and 1,200 school districts and charters.

It's complex,

but understanding the basics,

and why it isn't working, is relatively simple.

Think of funding schools in Texas as filling up a glass.

The size of the glass represents the amount of money the system uses to educate all of our students.

Texas gives the state legislature

the responsibility to decide how big the glass is

and how it gets filled.

Funding education is a shared commitment

between local property taxpayers

and the state.

When the modern Texas school funding system was created in 1993,

state and local contributions were roughly even.

This shared responsibility felt right,

and fair.

As property values in Texas began rising after the 2008 financial crisis, however,

the state share started to decline.

In 2019, the state share is projected to be only 38%,

and it will continue to decline to historic lows without significant change.

This decline has saved the state billions of dollars over time –

savings that could have been invested back into our public schools.

So how does this affect Texas taxpayers?

It means the state is relying more on local taxes to fund public schools.

It also means when your property increases in value and your taxes rise,

your public schools don't see additional benefit.

Wait, that doesn't seem right, does it?

Shouldn't money intended for schools stay in our schools?

If the state saves billions from increased local property taxes,

shouldn't that savings go to improve and expand student programs and pay our teachers more?

Instead, that savings is going to other things in state budget,

while spending on Texas students remains flat,

despite higher expectations and rising costs.

That also doesn't seem right, does it?

So what's the solution?

Money intended for our schools

should stay in our schools.

The state should invest more in our programs, teachers, and students.

Their future,

our state's future,

is worth every penny.
