Alright guys, I want to talk to you about my favorite drag strip. It's gonna be Northstar Dragway. It's in, Denton, Texas

guys I love this drag strip because

Every time I've been there to run on the strip it has been prepped perfectly

I mean the car hooks up there and when you go to another drag strip

You're just disappointed because it may be hit or miss but not in Northstar

Now they're constantly re-prepping the track while you're out there racing I want to say I saw their tractor come out on the track

Maybe every you know two hours or so, but the staff are very friendly the people are friendly

they got good food out there decent food for you to eat and

I mean you just have a good time. Anyway guys. Go check it out for yourself

Dragway so can you tell us about North Star dragway Mr. Hicks? Well Northstar Dragway was

We came off the streets back in 1990 and we decided we want to build a track so

We've got looking around and so we found some guys that are gonna put some money up and we built the track this has been

Through several different hands, but the one that really put it on the map was Jean Nicodemus. That's the owner we have now

He takes great pride in this track prepping it matter of fact. He have visit other track prepping their track getting things together

Cause we are the number one track in Texas

Yeah, well we know that a North Star is is named the stickiest track in, Texas

And you will be able to hook up here. Why is that?

Okay, we understand we understand. Yes, sir, yes, sir

well So what days is a North Star open for guys that that want to come out and race and girls we opened on Friday night?

We call the final night drags

On Saturday, we have testing to if we don't have programs, okay

we have test and tunes and

Saturdays test and tunes

So we try to be open three three days a week

Friday Saturday and Sunday and from what times would that be like on Friday nights from?

Gates open at six races are there seven

If there's no program

On Saturday we opens at 6 and starts at seven on

Sundays we start at twelve

Actually open at 12 and starts at one from one to eight on Sundays

Okay, so what do people need to know if they're gonna bring their cars out to drag race out here

Just a just a average guy the average guy

If you don't run no faster than an 8.60 you can just run without a helmet, but preferrably a helmet though

It's just safe

but

Anybody that wants to race just bring your car, and we have no stipulation on what size car. Volkswagens

You name it you see the few of those guys. Porsche. You can even bring a Demon

My stars I see some fast cars out here

So uh, can you give me your impression on the Dodge Demon? Oh I

Can't talk enough about that one that car is just off the wall

I've watched a lot of fast cars, but you know they a lot of cars had a lot of trick done to it mm-hmm

But straight out the factory. It's gotta be the baddest thing I've seen yet. All right sir well
