Amelia: Look at Papa!
Al Horford throws it down!
See guys like that, as a coach, you love them forever.
They can never stop talking enough about what
he does not only for the team and how unselfish he is but what a
great role model he is for younger players
Al: There's a lot of ways that show my wife that I prioritize you know my family in any way that I can every day
to make her life easier. It's what marriage is all about making
sacrifices for each other and understanding that we both have
responsibilities and in order for our home to be a best that can,
we have to do our share.
As a husband I just want to be supportive and set a good example for my
daughter and my son. I think the best example is how he sees that I treat
his mom and other women around.
Amelia: As long as he sees that I'm sure he's gonna
treat everybody with respect and equality. And he's gonna want to be like daddy.
Al: My daughter is very young but I was trying to encourage her just to go.
She's very independent very strong-willed and it's great to see.
I want her to feel powerful and encouraged and to really shoot for the stars
Amelia: Setting the example that he does for her just to see that experience that
firsthand. It's everything.
Al: The younger you start and instill those
values it becomes more of a norm for them and that's the way that they see
the world and it's important
