off by asking you how did you conduct your research for ugly mug well we
started with interviews of each of your employees and your manager and surveys
to measure the employee satisfaction and actually you scheduling data from one of
your supervisors to measure how much the employees were working so why did you
start off with the interview is that something that's standard within a small
restaurant consulting industry yeah so first we want to hear about the issues

employees themselves we tried to avoid question bias so I used open-ended
questions such as how was your experience working at ugly mug over the
summer each of your employees use words like frustrated exhausted and terrible
to describe their experience working at ugly mug over the break well what about
the survey how did you go about that well we started off with demographic
questions which is standard for ensuring that our process is replicable by other
consulting groups we also measure job satisfaction by testing the five
dimensions of job satisfaction and asked each employee to score it on a scale of

we found the job satisfaction per employee per period they actually worked
and then we used the supply of labour data from the supervisor given the

data to identify there is actually an issue within the business I did this
through our interviews and our surveys with during customers and your managers
and found that all of them identified that there was a negative emotion during

there was a correlation between these two aspects as a result what we did was
trying to identify a statistical correlation between the supply of labour
and job satisfaction now in order to do this we had the first night quantified
each of these variables in the supply of labour we actually got the data from
their wages and your schedule over the past of the course of the past year
identified during breaks two hours per employee nearly 71 hours per employee
per week and contrast was 16 during the quarters such as fall winter and spring
were also employees working on both roaming - during break periods and
contrast with a tank during the school quarters and what this resulted looking
way without the supply of labor spiked during school periods in contrast with
the breaks and summer break itself which is an extended period of time with low
supply of Labor we then need to quantify the job satisfaction as we discussed
previously we did this by rating the five dimensions of job satisfaction on a
scale of one to ten and using the NPS model and then finding the weighted
average of each of these dimensions now what we found was that on average during
break periods NPS score was nine point six percent which is almost half of that
during school periods this looked very similar to the data close to the supply
of labour we found a job satisfaction was very
high during periods of school and very low during periods but it's then just
fine living as a result 0.96 correlation between the two variables which means
that as the supply of labour goes up there's a 0.96 correlation with job
satisfaction now we're to verify our results we did a pee test which shows
