Hi！ I'm Yiwen Sun from China.

Before coming to Austin, I studied

finance at Peking University

and the well-structured courses have allowed me

to possess a deep insight into the financial world.

Thus, the skill set I've developed is applicable to real-world practices

which includes solid skills like financial modeling,

valuation, and financial statement analysis

with emphasis on the use of programming languages

like R, SAS, Excel, etc..

Therefore, equipped with all these

quantitative and qualitative techniques

I am confident that I'll be a competent member

and trustworthy team player of the McCombs community

in the upcoming 10-month academic training.

As to my past professional experience, I once worked as an intern of

the Accenture Strategy Department and several financial institutions

to carry out investment analysis.

During these internships, I found myself excited

about sharing views and ideas with brilliant minds and business insiders.

Therefore, it is also the journey I want to take while working towards my

master's degree.

I'm most eager to make my contributions

to the McCombs community and the program

from both personal and professional perspectives.

Fandom 250 Rivalry: Texas vs. Oklahoma - Duration: 1:54.

For one Saturday every year, Texas and Oklahoma, two schools whose hatred for each other is

rooted in a decades old boundary dispute, comes to a head when they meet in Dallas,

Texas for the Red River Rivalry.

A game so big, that it has to be held at a neutral site equal distance from both schools

to ensure fairness on both sides.

It's not just another football game on the schedule, it's a weeklong spectacle filled

with parades, festivals and fairs that culminates with OU & Texas fans splitting the Cotton

Bowl Stadium in half, one-half in crimson the other in burnt orange.

The big names are all there, Vince Young, Adrian Peterson, Earl Campbell, DeMarco Murray,

Baker Mayfield.

The prestige is there, a combined 11 national championships.

But every year this game is unpredictable regardless of where the teams are ranked.

Through the early 90s an unranked Longhorns team won four-straight against a consistently

highly-ranked Oklahoma team.

Sometimes this game is so evenly matched that it results in a tie.

There have been five ties in this series, but none more historic than the 1984 Red River

Rivalry Game.

Texas and Oklahoma were ranked 1 & 2 in the nation.

The Sooners were about to win the game leading 15-12, all they need was to get a stop against

the Longhorns.

Texas launched the ball into the end zone to win the game, but the pass was intercepted

by the Sooners defense.

Except it wasn't, the officials called it an incomplete pass and instead of winning

the game the Longhorns kicked the tying field goal to end it.

Whether it's game-tying field goals, high scoring shootouts, or hard-fought defensive

games the Red River Rivalry delivers year-after-year with Oklahoma and Texas finding new reasons

to keep this rivalry going.
