Auto news on Youtube Dec 2 2018

Welcome to the second video on Django Music Publisher.

In this one, we will actually use it.

After logging in, you will be on the home screen.

Let's click on Works for now.

This is the 'Work List' view.

There are no works in a fresh installation, so let's add one.

We will call this work 'The One'.

Lets add a writer as well, click on the green plus sign.

In the popup screen, we need to add the first and the last name,

the IPI name number, and the PRO affiliation.

Let's also presume we have a general agreement with this writer.

And save.

Capacity - Composer and Lyricist, relative share - 100 percent, controlled.

This is a minimal data for a valid registration, so lets press on 'Save and continue editing'.

We are back to the same screen with a note that everything went well.

Let's presume that we have two more works by the same writer

and only the titles are different.

Let's just change the title and press on 'Save as new'.

And lets add the third work.

Change the title, press on 'Save as new'.

When we go back to the list, now we have three works.

We have recorded these works.

We can add this info in each of the works, or be practical.

We will go to performing artists and add one.

First name, last name.

A band name would go in the last name field.

Add recording, and select our first work.

We will skip other data

and repeat the process for other works.

One should add as much data as possible.

But for now, we just go with a minimalist example.

Let us now create a first Common Works Registration file.

We can select CWR Export in the menu, but we can also use the wizard.

Let's open the Work List, select all the works, pick our action and press on Go.

The Add CWR view is very simple, we have the list of selected works

and a field where we can select what type of CWR we want.

Let's stick with the default.

Press save.

Ok, here is our list of CWR exports, we can download the file,

but we can also have a look at it.

This is our CWR file, highlighted to make it slighlty more readable.

And if you want to dive deeper, just put your cursor over the fields.

This concludes this brief walkthrough.

In the next video we are covering the installation procedure.
