 Roger Mathews is not giving up on his marriage to Jenni "JWoww" Farley.  "We're working on things, yeah, absolutely

We spent eight years together … so I feel like there's nothing that's not fixable in our situation," Mathews, 43, told Us Weekly Wednesday

 Farley, 31, filed for divorce in September. The "Jersey Shore" star cited irreconcilable differences in the original complaint, also noting she and Mathews' relationship had been rocky for at least six months

They wed in 2015 and share two children, daughter Meilani, 4, and son Greyson, 2

 "My wife filed for divorce, it's true. I'm just gonna keep it simple. I don't blame her

There's no cheating or any dumb s–t, any juicy details," Mathews posted on Instagram back in September

"She just grew tired of the repetitive pattern that we fell into … again, I'm not gonna get into detail but it was a repetitive pattern and not a good one

"  Despite difficult circumstances, Mathews and Farley did celebrate their wedding anniversary last month with a romantic dinner date and horse-drawn carriage ride

 "I'm in Abu Dhabi at the F1. I brought my son Trey. We been hanging and usually I take my kids separately on stuff just so they have their individual daddy time

We've been doing this, me and him," Smith explained.  "And he just hit me with, 'You know what dad? I just realized you're not just my dad

' He paused and he said, 'I'm pretty sure you're my best friend,'" he continued.  Trey later replied, "Awwwww shucks ♥️ you too big guy

"  Following Smith's divorce from Zampino, he wed Jada Pinkett Smith in 1997. The two share son Jaden, 20, and Willow, 18

 Pinkett Smith, 47, later reposted her husband's video on social media, writing, "Family is always in the process of healing no matter who you are
