NAVI BOSTON V-LOG Day 1: Preps & Relax [EN/RU] - Duration: 17:59.

Hey there, friends!

This is Alexey Kostylev, which means you're watching our new VLOG on Natus Vincere channel.

I want to be honest, I've missed you so much, guys, it's been a while.

I want to tell you that in 2018, you can expect a lot of great-quality content from us.

So don't forget to subscribe, like, and turn on notifications, let's get started!

We are in Boston, city where Benjamin Franklin was born,

his image is shining on the most popular banknote in the world, $100.

The history of the USA started here,

and one of this year's most prestigious CS:GO tournaments, ELEAGUE Boston Major 2018, is also taking place here.

The guys are staying at the Commonwealth Hotel. Today is the day off, but it doesn't mean we are going to have fun.

We have a lot of work today: analyzing our opponents, groups, practice games, a lot of preparation,

because the most important part of the tournament is starting tomorrow.

The guys are already awake and playing in the practice room, we shouldn't disturb them.

Guys, right behind my back is G2, they are our practice partners at the moment.

I learned a bit of French it school...

Help. I need help, Zeus took down two.

I don't want to face NAVI in the play-offs.

Thank god we are playing against Cloud9.

Guys, we are in the hall, where practice rooms are situated.

Two teams in each room, they have practice games, tactical reviews, skill training.

You can have snacks here, I think we should grab some.

Let's start with this one.

Our team has already started practicing against G2, who will face Cloud9 in the playoffs, let's go take a look.

KennyS, if you are going to play like this, we'll have to part our ways.

They want to kick KennyS.

Guys, the 3rd practice game against G2 is coming, the score is 1-1, so it's the decider.

The guys are warming up before the play-off, everything's great. Evgeny and Misha are helping the team.

Set-pieces, smokes, strategy, everything is discussed, they are focused on the result.

Zhenya, it's been 3 months since Electronic joined us,

you have been a mentor to the guys for a long time,

they consider you not only a manager but an uncle, so tell me did you see any changes?

Maybe the guys started to play with more synergy and communicate better? Or has nothing changed?

I can tell you that with the addition of Electronic, the team...

I think maybe it's not wholly about Electronic, the whole team just started to be more focused,

the guys started to take the training process more seriously and be more disciplined.

Recently, I read s1mple's interview on HLTV.org,

and he said that you found the right words before the game against Fnatic, which gave the players motivation to win.

It was thanks to your words that they got into gear and earned the Legends status.

Well, after we made into the group stage of the Major and lost to Gambit, I got worried.

The guys lost the game not because of their poor performance,

they lost it because of some personal issues, miscommunication, lack of morale and so on.

The potential is still there, they know it and feel it, but they lacked confidence in some way.

I started to put in more work in order to get their mindset right, I said the right words, as Sasha mentioned,

and I'm glad those words got through to them and gave them a confidence boost.

I prefer to do and regret than to regret not having done anything.

It wouldn't hurt to tell them, "Guys, you can do better".

Friends, our team chooses Monster Energy.

When you can't hit shots and things aren't going well, one Monster Energy drink will bring you right back into the game.

Guys, we just talked to Flamie, as you can see, Monster Energy wants to interview Electronic.

Hello.

Hi, Electronic. How are you? Haven't seen you in a while. How did the praccs go?

Great.

Are going to give an interview to Monster Energy?

Yes.

What's your favorite Monster Energy drink?

The standard green one.

Mine too. Okay, see you.

Grab it, grab it.

Wow, Look who's coming! Film him, faster. In slow mo. Kostya, come here!

Zhenya, check the left side, maybe there's someone in the kitchen.

Help s1mple make it through and take him to Monster Energy for an interview.

Take this guy away, we don't need him.

What are these yummies?

I don't know, some stuff. We stay out of it.

Guys, we brought S1mple.

Egor, tell me, it's been 3 months since Electronic joined the team.

What has changed in the team? You probably play different positions now.

Yes, since Denis joined, we've drastically changed our game structure, including several setups, roles, game plan.

We should've done it earlier, but simply had no time to change things even when Seized was still on the team,

because we had to participate in tournaments right away and after several tournaments, we knew we were gonna change our game structure.

There was a thread on Reddit saying that you had 300 hours played in Football Manager and CS:GO combined.

If we do the math, you would have only two hours to sleep, how is that possible?

Well, Football Manager hours weren't real as we were at the bootcamp at the time,

my PC was always on, I opened the game once, it was running in a window and I just never closed it until we finished bootcamping.

The same thing happens in tournaments. If I run the game on my laptop,

I never turn it off and the hours just keep counting.

Tell me, what's more important, the number of hours played or the quality of the hours you put in?

I definitely think the number of hours you spend playing is important,

you gotta have at least 3-4000 hours...

However, I can think of examples when people with 5000 hours played,

like Hobbit, who didn't have that many hours, would improve rapidly and achieve success playing at the top level.

Therefore, the quality is probably more important.

Well, the number of hours you put in is important too, but there are people who have 20,000 hours and haven't achieved anything.

Guys, if you want to watch the full interview with Flamie, head to the link in the description.

We're continuing our VLOG.

Guys, lately I've been getting a lot of questions from you on social media channels.

Honestly, I read all the messages, including my personal accounts and YouTube comments, every single one.

I get a lot of questions and from now on, I'll be asking the most interesting ones.

Evgeniy Filipov's question to s1mple, "What are your resolution and crosshair settings for this Major?"

Many people ask this question, as you can see, it's stretched.

As for Evgeniy's question, I will ask Sasha now.

How about we play a fun game, guys?

Let's do a round of rock-paper-scissors and the one who wins gets to ask a question.

One, two, three.

You lost, I should ask a question?

Yes.

How many times during your flight to America did you think the plane would crash? Honestly.

Frankly, not a single time.

So you were all calm and cool as a cucumber?

During the Frankfurt-Boston flight I was calm, but the flight from Kiev to Frankfurt wasn't that easy.

Let's proceed to round 2.

One, two, three.

I love this game.

So... Another question?

How many times in your life have you plunged into an ice hole on Epiphany day?

That's quite a question, Vanya...

I'm trying my best.

I'm not gonna lie, but I think once or twice because I don't really like the cold and hate being sick.

I have a question to you, how do you like Boston?

Boston is great, I like the city.

If you remember Vanya didn't like New York when I asked him, he said it was a city of hustle.

I was probably in a bad mood if I said that.

New York is no ordinary city, and it can make you experience different feelings, but those are special feelings.

I don't know, I got confused in my thoughts, but New Year is a truly unique and memorable city.

Tell me, how do you like Boston?

It's an amazing city.

Really awesome. Of course, it's not better than... Well, you can come to New York for a week...

You can come to New York for a week to see the attractions, but there are too many people around.

Which is not fun, all this hustle and bustle.

Bostom is more American-like, everything is quiet, there are cool restaurants.

I've visited two restaurants here.

There's an Italian one in front of our hotel, the food is really delicious there and another one is inside the hotel.

I didn't like that the ELEAGUE organizers said that they are gonna be only 5500 spectators at the main event.

Any idea why is that?

I don't know, probably they couldn't sell more tickets... There were 15,000 spectators in Cologne, 18,000 in Katowice, 18,000 in Columbus.

Maybe it's because there are not so many CS:GO fans in Boston?

Could be, but the flight from Amsterdam to Boston is 7 hours long, which is not much.

Guys, only 7 hours of flying, easy.

Well, that's better than 12 hours to Atlanta.

You arrive, the jet lag kicks in and it never ends until the tournament is over.

Guys, we're going to an Italian restaurant and it will be the last piece of our VLOG, let's go.

This is how Vanya sets up for tomorrow's game.

Friends, this is an Italian restaurant called Bertucci's, we're gonna have dinner, come join us.

What are you having guys?

McDonald's partners with ESL.

McDonald's is the new official sponsor of ESL.

What's your favorite meal?

McDonald's meal? Back in Russia, I order a Big Tasty burger.

Flamie has signed a personal contract.

McNuggets with sweet and sour sauce, French fries, and iced Coca-Cola. That's it.

Egor, you have a chance to acquire a personal sponsor.

I know Egor loves that stuff.

Zhenya, what's the schedule for tomorrow?

A bus shuttle takes us to the venue at 11:00 a.m, our game is set to kick off at about 1:00 p.m. local time.

After the game, if we win, we'll go to a press conference, because the organizers invite only the winning team.

After that, we'll have an autograph session with fans for about half an hour.

Then we'll have free time, the guys will probably be preparing for the next opponent.

That's our plan.

Also, everyone will need to have an ID to receive a badge that permits access inside.

Everyone will need to have an ID to receive a badge that permits access inside.

Do you like it?

Yes.

So, guys, our first VLOG is coming to an end. It was a hard day, jet lag, practice.

I hope you liked the video.

Subscribe to our channel, drop a like and see you tomorrow.

You, come here.

What's the matter, guys?

- Can I bum a smoke? - I don't have any.

- What are you hiding there? - Nothing!

Come here!
