Hello everyone welcome back to my channel you guys I hope you're all doing super super

so you guys first of all it is very sunny as you can see outside right now

the footage first of all seems pretty well lit so I

think it's gonna be okay so you guys for this week's video I'm gonna be reviewing

Starbucks hot chocolate usually you guys when I do Starbucks food reviews drink

reviews the names are just like that long but today it's just basic hot

chocolate I never had a hot chocolate from Starbucks so I was like let's try

this out so you guys the price of this drink is three

dollars and 45 cents Canadian dollars and I did not added any whipped cream

because I wanted to taste just the hot chocolate alone I'm just going to oh my

gosh that's so cute you guys they did a little like pattern on the hot chocolate

I'm gonna film it right now and show you guys somewhere in the screen so there's

like a little heart oh my gosh that is so so so cute so oh my gosh I'm so cold

I'm going to take a sip of this right now I hope this is good honestly you

guys if you clicked on this video you're probably curious to know what this

tastes like if it's worth it honestly I will make it short and sweet in my

opinion this is not worth three dollars and forty-five cents um this tastes

like a hot chocolate I could make at home with like I mean

hot cocoa powder and stuff I'm kind of disappointed I thought Starbucks would

maybe up their hot chocolate game so you know that we could feel that if we buy

this hot chocolate we get something like special in it so overall you guys it's

not bad but it's not like oh my god delicious you guys go pick this up like

no this is to me this tastes like a regular hot chocolate it's not worth

three dollars and forty-five cents this is my personal opinion you have your own

if you want to pick this up to try it by yourself please do that was pretty much

it for this week's video I hope you enjoyed it

Caribou Lakeshore Blend Coffee Review - Duration: 3:43.

Your place for Average Joe coffee reviews.

Today's coffee is classified as fresh

and springy, just like my skin.

(Kayla laughs)

(funky, happy heavy bass beat)

- So today we are reviewing Caribou Coffee's

Lakeshore Blend, and it's a medium roast.

It's supposed to be fresh and springy, like you mentioned,

and it's Rainforest Alliance Certified,

which is cool, and also they have

that guarantee, the money-back guarantee.

- If it's not fresh.

- If it's not fresh or if you just don't enjoy it.

Yeah, so Caribou is a brand that is near

and dear to my heart, just 'cause

it's awesome coffee, and so pretty solid brand.

I think there's been one blend

that we don't we don't particularly care for.

Everything else has been really good.

- It was Costa Rica we didn't really care for.

- Yeah, but other than that, really good coffee.

Price-wise though, it is a little bit more expensive.

For a 12-ounce bag, we paid...

- Seven something, $7.28.

- Yeah, $7.28, so it's a little bit more expensive.

- It's in the mid-range.

- A couple more bucks than you pay for, say Folgers.

- Right, normally a lot better.

- Yeah, a whole lot better.

- We'll find out about this one to see if it is.

So, Lakeshore Blend, I wonder if they use water from a lake.

- I don't think so.

- No? - No.

- Not one of the lakes around here; that's for sure.

- There's nothing wrong with our lakes.

- I wouldn't drink the water.

(Kayla laughs)

Mmm. Mmm.

- Yeah, so it smells good.

- Just seeing if I can make a funny sound while sniffing.

- Hmm, okay.

- Story of my life! (Kayla laughs)

- Mmm.

This is good; I like it.

It's definitely a taste, some nuttiness.

And...

in the end, I kind of taste a caramely...

Like nutty at first and then a little bit

caramel, caramelized afterwards.

- Yeah, after you swallow it

and you've got that in your mouth still,

like the coating, it's caramely, for sure.

- You probably need to brush your teeth

if you've got that coating in there.

- (laughs) I didn't say it was furry.

- But, yeah, I enjoyed this a lot.

I would give it four out of five doughnuts.

Would you give it four?

- Yes, four.

- Would you go more?

- You wouldn't go higher than that?

You, I mean.

I think I would still say four.

- Yeah, I think four, a solid four.

Yeah, a solid four.

It's good, yeah.

The thing is, the reason why I don't go higher

than that is because nutty isn't my favorite profile.

Like chocolatey is more, like chocolatey

and rich, that's where I prefer so, yeah.

So this is really good but that's why

not four and a half.

Greenlandic Coffee: The Arctic cure for cold weather

Thought you knew what your favorite winter drink is? Wait until you try Greenlandic coffee.

Greenlands cold weather cure is like an Irish coffee, except more Irish!.

And like everything in Greenlandic culture, this lovely mixture comes with a story thats just as delicious.

The recipe?.

Hot coffee is mixed with whiskey, Kahlua and Grand Marnier then covered by an Arctic heap of whipped cream.

The drink is usually served after dinner along with a local legend or a tale about the Inuit peoples closest thing to a deity -- the Mother of the Sea.

But the most common story about Greenlandic coffee is that it is the whole of Greenland in one mug.

The whiskey is supposed to represent all the rough parts of the country: its men, its hunters, its fisherman and its rugged landscape.

The Kahlua, all the nice things about Greenland; its women, its beautiful scenery and its animals.

The men and the women then come together in the cold, dark polar nights, represented by the hot coffee.

The whipped cream on top signifies the icebergs and glaciers the country is famous for.

The Grand Marnier is the finishing touch, set alight before being poured on top, the flames mimicking the Northern Lights.

The drink, like the country itself, is gorgeous at any time of the year.

Recipe: 1.

Add 20ml (about half a shot) of whiskey to a mug.

Then 20ml Kahlua.

Pour in 300ml (10.5 fluid ounces) coffee 4.

Add some whipped cream on top.

Pour 20ml of Grand Marnier, set on fire, over the whipped cream.
