In our experience, the types of cases that go to trial
are those involving children.
Now, there are other cases that go to trial over disputes
as to value of property or value of businesses,
but the most common cases that go to trial
are two parents that love their children very much,
and simply can't agree on what's best for them.

What will my divorce cost? - Duration: 1:00.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
The most common question we receive
is, how much will my divorce case cost?
And the answer is, it really does depend.
It depends on the level of complexity of your case,
as well as the level of conflict.
If you have a highly complex case involving
multiple businesses, it's very likely
that your case would cost more than someone who only has, say,
a home, one retirement account, and one vehicle.
Furthermore, if you have a high level of conflict,
that can lead to an additional amount of attorney time, which
therefore leads to an additional amount of cost to you.
One way to keep costs down, if you
are going through a divorce, is to try your best
to reduce the level of conflict and speak very early and often
with your attorney to get through some of the most
complex issues, so they don't become a problem down the road.
