Caribou Lakeshore Blend Coffee Review - Duration: 3:43.

- Hey! Welcome to Coffee Coffee Coffee!

Your place for Average Joe coffee reviews.

Today's coffee is classified as fresh

and springy, just like my skin.

(Kayla laughs)

(funky, happy heavy bass beat)

- So today we are reviewing Caribou Coffee's

Lakeshore Blend, and it's a medium roast.

It's supposed to be fresh and springy, like you mentioned,

and it's Rainforest Alliance Certified,

which is cool, and also they have

that guarantee, the money-back guarantee.

- If it's not fresh.

- If it's not fresh or if you just don't enjoy it.

Yeah, so Caribou is a brand that is near

and dear to my heart, just 'cause

it's awesome coffee, and so pretty solid brand.

I think there's been one blend

that we don't we don't particularly care for.

Everything else has been really good.

- It was Costa Rica we didn't really care for.

- Yeah, but other than that, really good coffee.

Price-wise though, it is a little bit more expensive.

For a 12-ounce bag, we paid...

- Seven something, $7.28.

- Yeah, $7.28, so it's a little bit more expensive.

- It's in the mid-range.

- A couple more bucks than you pay for, say Folgers.

- Right, normally a lot better.

- Yeah, a whole lot better.

- We'll find out about this one to see if it is.

So, Lakeshore Blend, I wonder if they use water from a lake.

- I don't think so.

- No? - No.

- Not one of the lakes around here; that's for sure.

- There's nothing wrong with our lakes.

- I wouldn't drink the water.

(Kayla laughs)

Mmm. Mmm.

- Yeah, so it smells good.

- Just seeing if I can make a funny sound while sniffing.

- Hmm, okay.

- Story of my life! (Kayla laughs)

- Mmm.

This is good; I like it.

It's definitely a taste, some nuttiness.

And...

in the end, I kind of taste a caramely...

Like nutty at first and then a little bit

caramel, caramelized afterwards.

- Yeah, after you swallow it

and you've got that in your mouth still,

like the coating, it's caramely, for sure.

- You probably need to brush your teeth

if you've got that coating in there.

- (laughs) I didn't say it was furry.

- But, yeah, I enjoyed this a lot.

I would give it four out of five doughnuts.

Would you give it four?

- Yes, four.

- Would you go more?

- You wouldn't go higher than that?

You, I mean.

I think I would still say four.

- Yeah, I think four, a solid four.

Yeah, a solid four.

It's good, yeah.

The thing is, the reason why I don't go higher

than that is because nutty isn't my favorite profile.

Like chocolatey is more, like chocolatey

and rich, that's where I prefer so, yeah.

So this is really good but that's why

not four and a half.

- Yeah, but if Caribou is a brand that you like

or dislike for a reason, do you have a story

you'd like to share?

- Yeah. (laughs)

- Then let us know in the comments below

and get a conversation going about Caribou's coffee.

- Caribou coffee, yeah.

- Do you have anything else to share

on this magnificent coffee?

- No, just that I like Caribou Coffee.

- Alright, well thanks for joining us again,

and until next time...

- Keep grindin'.

- [J.R.] Hey, thanks for watching our reviews.

Welcome to Steps To Reproduce

So, things you need to know about me: at times I also smile, but don't get used to it

Other important things, is that I'm Italian, I've been living the UK

for over ten years, in London specifically. I've been working in the video games industry

hence the name "Steps To Reproduce". The term is as a very familiar term to

anyone who has worked a day in QA, Quality Assurance for video games or any

sort of other process, to be honest. I worked a number of years in the games industry

and localization industry as well, and I plan to keep doing that if I can.

This blog is about that but not only that. It's about the games industry as a whole,

Not the games, but more the industry. It's about being Italian abroad, it's about London,

it's about Italy, it's about language learning, and cooking and food and coffee.

I don't know if I'm gonna put this on youtube

I don't wanna be a youtuber. I'm not a professional I hope you can hear me well

or well enough

You don't have to leave a like a thumbs up, I don't care but if you do, that's cool

because it gives me some sort of feedback at least, if you even if you

want to leave a thumbs down, that's alright. I would so.

I am a bit bluesy this morning because I'm receiving job offers and they are alright, I guess

They are translation management related. I don't hate translation management

I don't hate localization, I don't dislike it but it's not that I hate it and it's not what I want to do.

But I didn't know that yet until just recent, past few days.

I thought that I was gonna be able to stomach any job. I thought I'm gonna

you know I'm gonna be in London. f I need to be here, I need to

build myself together again by doing any sort of job and then spending my free time

by doing other stuff that keeps me afloat as a person.

I thought I was gonna be able to stomach any job in order to achieve that but, as it turns,

out I'm not gonna be able to stomach any job. I don't want to do stuff that doesn't

interest me anymore, and that's a bit backward because the thing that

interests me is "back".

Yeah, I have in my previous career sort of over grown my path.

I became management, middle high management,

and now I need to go back down to other positions where things are a bit more simple perhaps

and they are paid less, which, trust me, is not the wisest of moves if you live in London.

I'm going to try and talk about myself a little bit in the coming videos.

I'm going to try to get out of this pyjama.

anyway this was episode zero of "Steps To Reproduce".

I'm gonna keep this video up for a while and then I'll remove it

because it's just me having breakfast.

I will be doing this blog, vlog, what is thing?

I will be doing this without a script, which means that

it will be just me showing you things and places, around London, in and about

I hope you guys will enjoy, it's not for you anyway XD I'm doing it for myself

I wanted to try and put myself out there a little bit. It's a matter of being able

to have a command of the language, it's matter of improving my showmanship.

It's a way to reach out and do a little bit of networking with people that have gone

through the same process in life. It's NOT a process to get a viewership or a community.

YouTube is no longer that good for that.

We're gonna talk about politics

I'm gonna try and usher the non-italians into the Italian political scene

because it's interesting actually. I'm gonna try and explain Italy to Italians,

I'm going to try to explain Italy to foreigners.

Yeah but it's going to be with the prospect of a person that lived a third of its lifetime abroad.

Oh man, I shouldn't have done this in the morning, I'm useless

without my coffee and the caffeine isn't kicking yet, it's gonna take about six

or seven hours for me to wake up. this also gives me the chance to do some

video editing, which I miss doing. Some time ago we would have talked about

music as well but music or cinema they're becoming less and less relevant.

We're probably gonna be talking about that.

I'm going to be doing videos in English and Italian and I will make sure it's always well subtitled and

I'm gonna try to be regular in my creation.

Wait a second, what is this? Unicorns. There are unicorns under my cup.

check this out so over this over the course of few videos I'm gonna try and

explain a few things about these other culture I'm gonna try and do that not

the usual way I'm going to try and go at the root of a few topics and which means

I won't be able to really please everybody I'm gonna have an opinion

about stuff but if I didn't then I will be just another YouTube

so this was a quick and boring intro to my channel I don't know what's gonna

happen with it I don't know if I'm gonna be consistent and really stick to it I

don't think people are gonna watch it but one reason why I'm doing this is so

that it is stored somewhere so that I can take a picture of how I feel and I

can come back maybe to it you know I can go back to it one day I would like to

look back at this videos 25 years from now no more than that because I don't

wanna be too ambitious with my life you can open us look back 25 years from now

and actually give myself some answers, whereas this channel is all about raising questions.

As long as you raise important questions in your life

then it does not matter about the answers, what matters is that you're looking for truth.

For me this is a way to write down these steps to reproduce, and fix things.

It should be something that needs to be logged somewhere,

It should be something that will only happen if I am forced to speak up

and it only happens when you give yourself time to sit down somewhere

and verbalize your thoughts and your feelings, that should be taught in school

and I don't understand why it isn't. I'm not doing this for my friends, I'm not

doing this for anyone else but me, really.

Now we're talking, but it's over, so I'll see you guys in the next video.

It's a beautiful day put there so I should try and make something out of it

and I will look for a job...

Have a good day.

Thanks for watching.

Kettlebells & Coffee | Session 35 - Duration: 3:37.

[Music]

You know there's a good chance that you don't know about this kind of exercise

and I say that not because I'm presumptuous but only because I didn't know about this

kind of exercise until recently.

And it's not so much an exercise as it is more a movement.

See, a lot of people when we train in the gyms, when we try to get our fitness in whether

it be barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, Ultimate Sandbags most people stay in their comfort

zones, they stay in their boxes and they do the exercises/movements they feel comfortable

doing in basically one plane of motion.

Meaning they just - they don't really move much while they're "exercising."

And so it's time to kind of be able to do what life demands and be able to move accordingly.

So the movement I'm talking about today is very pivotal ... it's a bad pun, but it is.

We're going to talk about pivoting, going into a rotational movement.

Unfortunately, the one thing I do see a lot of people doing is when they try to do a twisting

exercise they move more from their waist, they get more from their low back and they shouldn't!

And that's where a lot of people go wrong because then they say I feel it in my low

back or it's too late and my low back is gone because something happened!

Now pivoting does require a lot of what we call internal rotation of the hip and we don't

get a lot of that especially in the Western World because we sit in our chairs drinking

coffee most of the time!

At least I do!

So we might have to kind of juice up the hip a little bit before we move into these rotational

movements that we're talking about.

So something you might want to look at, as simple as it seems, is how is your rolling pattern?

Do you have to do extra movements to make that roll happen, can you roll from your back

to your front, can you roll from your front to your back?

If not, you might have to work on this a little bit.

Maybe your hips still feel a little jacked up and tight - so we go into some alternating

side sits, maybe we move it up into a tall split kneeling with a little rotation at the

top just to get that extra stretch, to help that internal rotation with your hip.

Don't take my word for it, it's life saving that's what our clients say at Fitness Lying Down!

Now we have that opportunity to move into our rotational movements so the key is when

I pivot my foot I need to have tension all ready in my feet.

Whenever my feet are on the floor, they need to be pushing hard, I need to feel a jolt

through my core because of how hard my feet are pushing into the ground.

Anybody can just spin their foot around, but can you really drive and drill your body into

the floor by making that pivot happen?

You should feel as that happens that the heel of your pivot foot rises up because the balls

of that foot are pushing into the ground creating more tension and that's the tension you need!

And there's so many ways that we can take that rotation, that pivot and we can make

it work for us in a pulling movement, in a pushing movement, in a hip hinge movement,

and in a squatting movement.

We can really receive a lot of benefits from it by learning how to move from our hips

and not our waist!

We can be stronger in that plane of motion, which is really key because life actually

makes us go there and sometimes we avoid that because we can't or unfortunately we twist

and we hurt our low back.

So when you master that movement your whole fitness toolbox opens up even more and you

have more opportunities, more experiences that you can include into your programming

that offer something that a lot of people don't get and then you're on top of the game

and you have a safer, healthier body moving forward.

So until next time ...
