 Paul Lee tied up his son and made him lay face down on the floor as he invited the bullied sibling to get his revenge

 After restraining the boy with a martial arts black belt, the dad turned to his youngest son and told him he could kick his brother in the back of the head or free him

 Video of the dad's unusual method of discipline has split opinion on social media, where some users have accused him of creating a divide between the siblings or causing unnecessary trauma

 Mr Lee, from Johor Baru, Malaysia, shared the footage on Facebook and said he had no choice but to "try something different" after scolding and punishing his eldest son many times

  The older boy had kicked his brother in the head multiple times at a tuition centre, the Star reported

 In the Facebook video, Mr Lee asks the older boy: "Now you know how it feels like to be bullied

Does it feel good?"  He adds: "Why did you bully my family?"  Mr Lee tells the boy to lay face down on the floor and then restrains him with the belt

 The dad then chastises his younger son for allowing his brother to bully him, as their sister is sat on the sofa

 Mr Lee asks him why he didn't run away or inform a teacher, adding: "Don't let anyone bully you

"  The younger brother is then told he could kick his brother in the head or free him

 The dad tells the crying boy: "Whatever you choose to do, I will not scold or beat you

"  The youngster is comforted by his sister, and the pair free their brother from the belt

 The brothers, both crying, make up with a hug.   Mr Lee, whose viral video has been viewed more than 880,000 times, wrote on Facebook: "I don't know if such a method is right or whether it will be effective, but for a child who has been scolded and punished many times before, I decided I had to try something different

"  He called for an end to bullying, adding: "If anyone has any tips or knows a better way to discipline children, please share

"  Mr Lee's method split opinion, with one critic writing on Facebook: "Violence does not come only in physical forms

Emotional violence and trauma are even worse.  "They are both your children. By saying 'my family', you are creating a divide among your children

"  Another wrote: "Teaching kids right from wrong, the significance of duty and how to treat their own siblings, by confronting them with moral dilemmas - it's a very important lesson to teach and to learn from
