Auto news on Youtube Jul 26 2018

Hey, my name is Phaedra, thanks for coming to check out this video today. I'm gonna sign it and something new with you guys

We're gonna jump into a game. That's just coming out called riot

It's currently an alpha or it might be an early release by the time you're watching this

so I figured I'd help out the community and some of our newer players a little bit by putting out some basic how-to guides for

You if you haven't seen some of my previous guys, I'm pretty straightforward guy and I like to get right down to it

So let's jump in today

We're gonna go ahead and cover the basics on how to start up in this crazy open world PvP game

basically did the game is there's three factions fighting it out over a roughly one to three month period or

As they call them sokka's the sagas what the match is called?

For the sexual life cycle, the saga hands after one team fills up their entire spirit tree completely to the top

But we'll go over a little bit more of that later. I don't want to touch too much on endgame now for now

Let's just go ahead and jump into the basics

When you create your character, you'll be able to select one of three faction types revenant Conclave and order now

The only real difference is here going to be some of the basic resources that spawn in the faction locations along with the colors

So revenant is purple Conclave is green and order is orange outside of that. They don't really make too much of a difference

Which one you pick? It's just gonna be user preference. So feel free to pick whichever one you like the most

Jump into the gameplay

You'll notice this is a basic tutorial that will walk you through some of the normal MMO controls such as W a s and D

I'd recommend at least keeping them off until you're comfortable with the game, but I'm gonna go ahead and close them for now

You'll notice you've six bars down here on the bottom left these bars represent your spirit weight food

Water health and stamina as this is a survival game. You're gonna have to learn how to balance all six of these

We'll talk a little bit more about spirit in another video

That is the thing that actually helps you win the game and fill up that tree

But right now we'll go ahead and stay out of that

The first thing you're gonna need to do is start crafting your tools

There are four different tools types in rend a hatchet a mallet a pick and a sickle

You're gonna need burying materials in order to be able to craft each one of these

You'll notice that each item requires a prerequisite crafted item before unlocks

As you can see down here in the required skill text at the bottom in red

Will actually tell you exactly what you need to craft in order to unlock

Whenever you're going to be able to craft at that next progression level, it's basically another tutorial to walk you through the game's progression features

Drafting menu. You see here also has a lot of useful items such as backpacks and torches

We're not going to go too deep into these on the first video. However, I'd highly recommend going over these items

Just hover over them to see what they do

When you actually get a minute as they're gonna be pretty useful at some point in the game next

Let's go ahead and start gathering. You're gonna noticed unlike traditional animal modes

You can't just go up and swing at a tree to start gathering your resources this throws off a couple of new players

So be pretty careful with this what you're actually going to want to do is put the reticle over the item

You're trying to gather as you can see the atom actually turns into or the reticle rather actually turns into a little plus sign this

Means that you're good to go and actually can start harvesting the nodes

If you're not harvesting anything go ahead and double check that make sure the reticle is directly over whatever you're trying to gather

maybe move a little bit closer to if you're having some issues to

Craft your first tool you're gonna have to actually start gathering some steaks and fiber

You give the steaks but crunching the trees you see around the starting zone here

You can push the big ones or the little ones

It's not gonna make a difference the fiber. You actually have to go and start punching some bushes now

Keep in mind you won't be able to gathered fiber from the watermelon or from the orange flowers that are on the ground

Once you get a sickle, you'll be able to do that a little bit later

but that's alright now since we're just using our fist try and focus on the bigger brush is

Gonna need full raw fiber to be able to make your first wine, which is what we need for that hatchet

Once you've got a head and got enough materials go ahead and hit the C button to open your crafting menu here

you can double-click your ball of twine to craft one or

You can right-click it to be able to craft more than one

This actually has a craft all button or you can select as many as you need

Once you've done this go ahead and double click on the hatchet to make one of these

After that's has been crafted you'll notice that you've now unlocked the mallet a bow and a few pieces of clothing

Let's focus on the next tool which is your mallet tools are automatically placed in your paper doll bone being crafted

Additionally you can actually hold the cue button in order to actually cycle between any of your tools you see as you can see here

You have the bottom left top left top right and bottom, right?

Or you can actually go directly in the bottom middle and that will dis farm

you can also hit the X button whenever your tools or weapons around and that automatically disarms them as well in order to grab the

Mallet, we're gonna need something called SAP and some logs if you go ahead and click your axe

Let click any of the trees you'll notice that you start gathering twigs and SAP

however

If you right-click some of the larger trees you actually start gathering some logs as you can see here

Each tool and Ren has both a lot click and a right-click

Function while I which will allow you to gather different types of resources depending on the tools and the resources owed

Alright, once we have the SAP and logs ready to go. Let's go ahead and open up your crafting menu again by eating

See we'll need to grab one more twine if you haven't already in order to make the Malon

Additionally if you have the resources, let's go and make your bow now as well

You're gonna need one here in the future as you can see

It's gonna be our next tool as it was unlocked by our current crafts

In order to craft it if we're gonna need to gather some flint you get flint

You're gonna have to go ahead and equip your mallet bike in holding Hugh and selecting the proper tool

Mallets will gather stone and salt if you left click or Flint by right-clicking after you've picked up some Flint

It's going to get that last well

Not last tool but let's go and get your pick and get ready to get the last tool here. Ok

So in order to go ahead and grab the sickle

What we're gonna need to do is actually unlock it by crafting a rough weave shirt again

Like we talked about before if you have a lock and you need to figure out what's on it you hover over the locked item

It will say what you actually need to do to be able to unlock it

So let's go ahead and gather some more fiber in order to do that

You need 20 raw fiber and at least three fiber twine to craft the roughly shirt

Once that's finished. However, you'll be able to unlock the sickle. This one isn't going to require you to get any more fancy material

So go ahead and take a few minutes and gather a new more of the basics right now

Sickle can again go ahead and harvest with both left and right click

Blank clicking on either a fruit or flower bush will return either a flower or the fruit

depending on the actual bush type you can also left-click on some of the

Bushes that don't have any fruits or flowers and they'll return different types of vines

But we'll cover that a little bit later probably in another video

You're not gonna need to use that too too much right now if you actually right-click on any of them

Including some of the fruit and flower bushes. It's going to return a good amount of fiber

so

Is a good way to actually start stocking up on this as you will need it for later on I'd recommend using this to get

All of your basic clothing while we're at it as well. Now that we're done with all the basic tools

Let's going to move on to the arrows

So you're gonna need to go ahead and farm up sticks in order to craft these it's three sticks for three arrows

I'd also recommend you craft up a campfire now as well. I'm gonna need that when we actually start hunting

This is what actually helps you cook food

I'll actually show you how to do that here in just a moment, but I'd recommend gathering up good amount of sticks

Maybe did at least

50-plus arrows to start out you're gonna need them for a good amount of hunting and this is gonna really help you get to that

Next game you basically got a you basically gone ahead and got everything you're gonna need get started in the game now

So let's cover the last few of the basic first food

You're welcome to go ahead and eat as many of those berries and melons that we've been gathering as you want

You can eat them

I'll sustain you for a little bit

Especially the melon se but really you're not gonna get very far into the game

If you don't actually start out grading the food and the berries really aren't there that the berries in the melons?

I'm very good for anything like this and you're not gonna live off them very long

What we actually need to do is start hunting now that we've already gone ahead and crafted the bow

But the game tries to teach you early that the crafting mechanic can actually go pretty poorly for you

it actually crit up or crit down what I mean is that you actually have a chance to make the item better or

You can actually fail the craft all together so you can actually upgrade the item

so let's say from a white to a green or a green to a blue or you can fell and lose the resources that you

Spent actually cracked in the item it tries to teach you that here

So what we're gonna need to do first is actually throw away the old bow

You can drag that onto the side of your screen and just put it on the ground

It does put it in a barrel, but go and just leave the barrel. So the game really wants to teach you this mechanics

It's actually gonna make you crap one more really bad bow

So let's craft to now that way we actually get one good one since we already done the first one

Let's go ahead grab the other one. So now

Go ahead and grab those up and we'll go ahead and drop the next wrapping one as well

Alright now that we have some good bow or a good bow and some arrows

You're gonna want to start looking around for something to hunt. I'd recommend starting small you start with the pigs without tusks

Is that the actual weakest gain or creatures in the game currently?

They don't give a whole lot of meat, but they're not gonna do that. You're not gonna actually need very much right now

You wanna go ahead and note this game does have career spots?

so while hunting these pigs if you hit them in the head you'll get a crate now crits are a little bit messed up if

You're still in alpha or early access so go and excuse those for now

But normally if you put something it will do more damage the damage varies depending on where you actually hit them

Remember the tools also have left and right click left. Click harvest meat right? Click harvest leather

I'd recommend hunting a few of these pigs get as much meat as you possibly can

Remember that can fire wheat wrapped it up earlier

Let's go ahead and place it down now

So it should have defaulted to you how far just go and press any of the keys that it's on

It's probably on one or two and place it here doesn't really matter as long you're not too close to a foundation

You should be able to place it down here

You're gonna want to go ahead and move the wood over into the fuel. You can open up the camp fire by dating

Yes And then hit the on or off button be able to turn it on and put the meat over here on the right side

Give it a little bit of time and electric wouldn't cook well for you. There isn't any sort of progression bar

It's not going to show you how fast it's cooking

however

I do want to mention that if you hover over a food once it is cook

You will actually show you what kind of buff it gives all meats in the game doesn't matter what it is gives a different kind

Of bob, so keep that in mind

There's a lot of really really good ones out there things

Like Dickson meat that you're gonna need when you go into the cold

Keep that in mind when you're actually picking the type of food that you're gonna get

I would also recommend taking a little bit of time. I'm actually going a hunts of these things fault. I think they're called rabbit

I'm not mistaken does give you a speed buff which in my opinion is probably one of the best foods out there

So when start collecting Smee get it cooked up and they will jump to the next thing

alright

the last thing you're gonna need to know to stay alive and rent is that water is pretty

Essentially you'll notice especially if you don't have any perks to keep it up your water drops pretty quick and until you're able to pick

Up, some of the late game water skins you're gonna need to walk up and actually go to a body of water

These are scattered throughout the entire map all over the place

All you need to do is actually go ahead and hit up

Go up to one of them and hit the letter F that will actually use and drink water. It's a few little surprises

I'm gonna let you guys figure out on your own with those but

any of the

places around the map should be okay for the most part the best place to find the early water is actually going to go to

The lake that's just the south of your manufacturing base to get there

If you look at the big tree in the distance, that's actually what people consider dune north

So think of it like the north hole anywhere around the map that you go. It's gonna be north

Just like if you anywhere around the world that you went it's gonna be north, right?

So that's the best way to think of it start heading north. You should run into a lake

So walk up to it and hit ass. That's the best way to do it there and should be good to go

Okay with all of that covered. There's really only one more thing

I'd like to talk about that's gonna be the death in

Rent when you die in Rand all of your loot will stay actually on your body

That means everything that you've had on you everything you've looted stays on your body

You can deposit a lot of that in your actual faction base wherever else you can restore personal basis killed bases

Etc to kind of avoid that but the exception to that is going to be your tools

Your tools will always stay on you and I would highly recommend keeping them in your paper at all

If they're in your inventory, they may fall

So if you're upgrading be careful, make sure you're actually putting them where they need to go

Your tools will definitely should sorry your tools will definitely stay with you regardless win and or where you die

There's really only one exception to this kind of death rule and that's when there's something called the racketing during the event

We will kind of get into a little bit later, but basically the event if you die inside of your city

This might actually apply at any time

But if you die inside your city off your stuff actually stays on you the reckoning we'll get into a little bit later

It's kind of an endgame

Mechanic and we'll really really talk about it in depth probably in a video just by itself

So want to come around that?

Now on the actual death part your teammates and or your enemies can actually really loot your body when you die

So you have to be really really careful as you do, I mean, it really depends on where you die, right?

Be careful because in early games some of the newer players won't necessarily understand this mechanic

So they really might actually chart trying to loot you just to kill do it's a super super heavy really big game for team

So big team when we're actually thinking on this this whole aspect this is one faction one team

You don't want to mess over your team. You don't want to you know, you don't want to screw them over

So be really careful. Don't loot other teams their other teammates

Don't let them let you kind of lock it out. If there's an issue talk about Machat. Usually everyone's pretty cool about it

We haven't had an issue so far

however

again

Noobs will likely loot you and who knows there may even be some creepers on the server that are doing it on purpose we've seen

One or two of those this on that note. If you do see an ally party, you know talk with them

Don't just go and pick it up

If they're not online if you can confirm that online or if they ask you to loot it go ahead and pick it up

But otherwise just leave it there

It's not worth creeping your own team as it's just gonna set you all back

If you do end up dying now

You'll be given the option to respawn at your main base or your personal base your guild base for really any other faction control points

or on the map

There are little outposts that can be controlled by the faction and you can actually spawn them or spawn there rather

typically

You'll just want to pick whatever is closest to your body

there through caveats to this but

begin

Something probably not words really talking about right this second while your need gonna need to do is actually run back up to your body

And you can hit take whole and then you've got it all back

So just be careful when you guys are actually doing it. All right that pretty much covers the basics for rent

You should be pretty off

You should be pretty well off and have a pretty good start now, or at least you should definitely conquer anymore

I hope I hope this guide was pretty helpful

Were you do it didn't make it a little bit different than I normally do

So if you used to watch on my our kites probably gonna notice a little bit different to you

I usually do it on a private server

So it's a little bit different to adult life where you guys started a couple of new characters

No, God mode for those finding things in its lemonade what you guys think of the first one here

I'll be putting in a couple more of these basic guides like this

Along with some helpful tips tricks and probably a little bit of how to's over the next little while just to give it a shot

Really like the games a lot of fun so far and god

I gotta test it out a little bit early before you guys and give you some of this insider info

So I hope you guys enjoy it

And if so go hit that like button

Online Safety: A Guide to Senior Citizens | NordVPN - Duration: 1:48.

According to the FBI, in 2017, older adults lost $342 million to scam.

On average, each victim lost nearly $7000, which could have bought them a 2-week European

trip for two.

Older people are ideal targets for online scammers – so talk to your relatives about

Internet safety.

Here's a checklist to help you explain the security basics to your Nana:

First rule: Ignore urgent email requests.

If an email is asking you to take immediate action, it's probably fraud.

Don't reply to such messages, don't click on links or buttons, and don't download

any attachments.

Remember: a legitimate business will never ask you to send sensitive data over email.

Don't send money to people you don't know over the Internet.

When shopping online, make sure the checkout address starts with HTTPS - the S is for "secure."

Use longer words or phrases with numbers and don't share your login details with anyone.

If you get any notifications or calls about viruses on your computer, it might be fraud.

Use only official support services or consult someone you know.

Set a strong password on your internet router or ask someone your trust to do it.

Use a VPN - it will protect your network from budding neighborhood hackers.

Found free Wi-Fi at a restaurant?

Enjoy it!

Just don't log into your personal accounts – that makes it easy for hackers to steal

The ULTIMATE Guide To Buying Jerseys For Your Hockey Team: How to choose the right type of jersey - Duration: 4:31.

All right, so in this segment

we're going to talk a little bit about how jerseys are made and the construction aspect of

your jerseys because it's important that your jerseys don't just fall off you as

You skate onto the ice into the first time you wear them?

Yeah, we're an opponent grabs your shoulder or something and your sleeve comes off. You don't want that

No, you don't want that. So our jerseys by the way, just as a point of fact actually

I just thought of this are made by Canadian manufacturers. Yeah in Canada. And so that's an important fact.

So maybe consider where the jerseys are coming from when you're thinking about buying a jersey in terms of longevity?

Sometimes jerseys that come from you know...

dare, I say overseas but people do buy over there.

Might not last as long so that's an OK option if you're really just trying to get something out there and just you know

Don't you know don't wanna spend a lot of money. So that's not a terrible option, but overall when you're talking about

the longevity of your Jersey what you got to think about is the price and

The style you're gonna buy the the, you know, the custom versus sublimation

And is there anything else you want to consider on that? I?

Guess just how long you expect the Jersey to last for? What's it? What's the average lifespan of?

Well, as I was gonna say the lower cost jerseys from our the more economical jerseys that are under 40 bucks

Those are gonna last you like five years for five years like to be honest with you

We've never a de jure as you come back and it's we've been doing this for five years. Yeah, so even the lower end

Low cost jerseys they will last typically what you'll find. Is those jerseys?

Will not have they'll be called single shoulder single elbows. Yeah, so they they aren't

Built as high quality as the highest quality, obviously

But if they're well built they'll still last because most players are not playing in the NHL with those jerseys and they're not effectively

Getting pulled and beaten up as much as a you know, high level hockey team player would be yeah

They're skating faster. They're getting hook harder. They're getting

Bodycheck bored burns stuff on the elbow. Yeah, take a beating

Yeah, so though so you're gonna be just fine for the average player

Team's average team's average Club teens when you start getting into tiered teams and higher level of triple-a teams

You're gonna want a more durable Jersey

something that is got double shoulders double elbows and

Obviously the material thicker material a lightweight polyester is a general

you know lower cost jersey, but when you get into the higher priced jerseys you're looking at like

error net

Kobe has something behind me call the k3g material which is really slick. Yeah, very pro looking

Yeah, he'll into right? Yeah, these are athletic Nick here. These are a knit fabric similar to what the they were in the NHL

yeah, yeah and

So that's what you're thinking about when you're thinking about your jerseys

And the look you're gonna think about the price house. So again price is gonna factor into the law

You're gonna pay obviously it's gonna affect the quality

Longevity you want to make sure that your jerseys are gonna last so if you're gonna get double shoulders of all those those jerseys will

Literally last like ten years. Yeah, as long as you also take care of them. Don't throw them in the dryer

Don't use bleach when you wash these things right what it just quick point on. How do people wash these things

Water. Yeah, that's it. Just throw it in cold. So easy wash it and then hang it to dry and hang it

yeah, my wife actually threw my

Jets Pro Jersey in the dryer. Yeah

ruined

Fresca, no puckers. Yeah, that was an expensive Jersey. You guys didn't know it was never the same, right?

It looks like a game worn now like you've been through the trenches with it true

Yeah, so I feel a bit, you know like a pro when I'm wearing it

Yeah we go hard at those Jets games we do. Yeah

Shouldn't go as hard

Should go harder. Okay, that's another option

so quickly

Those are the important things to consider when you're looking at the jersey the construction of the jersey where you're gonna buy it from

Just some important tips to consider. Okay. Okay. Nice. Nice

Mapping Structure - Guide to Effective Practicing | Breth Piano Studio - Duration: 5:52.

If you like puzzles

you might like

mapping a piece

it's amazing how much you can learn about the structure of a piece before you even start practicing it and

What you learn will help you to practice it more effectively and to learn the piece

sooner and more correctly

Let's see what we can find out about a piece of music without even touching the piano

I can see just by looking at this piece that there are two or three contrasting sections

Two things pop out at me. First, there are a couple of strings of eighth notes with lots of accidentals and

Second, what looks like a lot of repetitions of a staccato quarter note pattern in the left hand

But I want to map out the whole piece. So I'm going to the beginning

What I see there is a couple of half notes and a whole note. Can I find this later in the piece?

Yeah, here it is measure 10 and

I see it again at the beginning of the bottom line. Now, I'm going back to the beginning

I wonder if measure 3 and 4

Are repeated anywhere else... and sure enough, there they are, tagging along after those first two measures

In fact, I notice now that measure 3 and 4 use the exact same notes as measure 1 and 2. Wow!

G, D, C

GD, GD, C, D, C.

At this point, I can't help noticing that the bottom line of this piece looks a lot like the top line

so I go through measure by measure. I put one finger on the bottom, and

one finger on the top. I go one measure, the next measure, the next measure, the next measure, and

what I discover is they are exactly the same

except the bottom line is an octave lower, and it has a slightly different ending

My next quest

Is to look at measure 5 and measure 6 and measure 7. They look kind of different from the first part.

Do I find them and again in the piece? Hmm, they're not on the second line, they're not on the third line,

But of course there they are on the last line. So that means that I have to remember the second time

I play this little A section, I'm not going to follow it with the double thirds

After that, I must address the issue of the eighth notes

Looking at that fairly carefully: B, B flat, A, A flat, G, and so on.

I determine this is good. These are chromatic scales. But I notice in measure 8,

there's a change of direction.

I might want to make sure that I mark a down arrow and

an up arrow

because this

goes down to G but then rises up again to D sharp. With the left hand...

Whoa, the notes are not the same. Oh, this will be challenging to practice

All right. So in the left hand, it starts on F goes down to D flat and

rises up to A. At least they're going in parallel motion

Looking down to the next line, which begins the same way...

I notice that the direction is all going down

So this is coming close to the first

instance, but with a different ending.

By the way, look at the clef signs in measure 8 and measure 14.

It's a common issue with young students to

confuse notes when the clefs have changed - they may not notice.

So, it's good to point out to understand that measure 14 F is exactly the same as measure 8 F

even though it looks so different

So, now, actually I have

managed to look at this whole piece and to get a really good idea of what it's going to be like.

When I go to practice it, it'll be much easier to put it together and

maybe I'll have the good idea of practicing each of these sections separately

That way I can put it together more easily at the end.

Here's how it sounds:

(playing piano)

That's a perfect musical picture of penguins, I think I can just see them waddling around

And

now, with having mapped this out, it's much easier for me to practice and learn it.

So, do try it on the next piece that you plan to master.

Map it out before you practice it

I'm Nancy O'Neill breath and these are effective practice tips. Try them
