Auto news on Youtube Oct 27 2018

I'm Jen I mean Miriam or Midge for short and the

year is 1958. You may know me from my Amazon Prime show The Marvelous Mrs.

Maisel or my stand-up comedy as the mad divorce of the Upper West Side but today

I am going to take you on a tour of one of my favorite cities, where I live, where

I grew up and all of the places from the show but first don't forget to

click that subscribe and bell button so you don't miss a future video and let's

get into it: my top favorite picks from the show all the film locations that are

still here in New York City today

Number one Washington Square Park you see this famous arch behind me a couple

of times throughout the show: while they're driving from the back of a cab

and also when I am walking into a protest and I am there when they are

protesting the roadway expansion which unfortunately ended up happening they

did expand the road a little bit into the park but the other part of the

protest was to make sure that roads were not cutting right through the park and

cars were not driving right through the park and that part was actually

successful! So kind of a cool part of history something that not a lot of

people know but now you know and let's go to the next location.

2. Visit the music in which opened in 1958 and is still open it is one of the

longest continually round music stores in New York City I'm here in the actual

basement of the music inn, there are all percussion instruments I'm looking for

the tape not sure if I found it yet..

3. I'm currently in front of 116 MacDougall the original location of The Gaslight

this is where I perform stand-up and other performers like Bob Dylan from

1958 through 1971 until it closed unfortunately but you can see it right

down there. It was also featured in shows like Mad Men

I'm here at the new

location for Kettle of Fish at 59 Christopher Street behind me. This used

to be next to the Gaslight but it has now since moved but it is still a dive

bar just like it used to be and fun fact did you know that kettle of fish means

"awkward state of affairs" and this is 299 Park Avenue where Joel works as a Vice

President of the Triborough plastics company. He doesn't really know what he

actually does he sets meetings and sometimes they

sell things.

Welcome to the old town bar it has been here since 1892. It is Joel's favorite

bar and it still has the original mahogany bar and tin ceilings.

Welcome to the Village Vanguard, open in 1935, Lenny Bruce and I'd come here and

introduce a jazz band. Welcome to the City Spoon, now called the Bonbonierre.

This is where Joel and I came just after getting married and I come back here

after getting arrested.

My manager Suzy comes to the Friars Club to visit her friend Harry Drake.

this place has actually hosted so many comedians toasts and roasts throughout

the years and it even moved here in 1957 and is still going. Welcome to Columbia

where my father Abe teaches mathematics in 309 Haveameyer hall

Welcome to my home 404 Riverside Drive this is the

Strathmore the luxury apartment my dream apartment with Joel only a few floors

away from my parents with a French style entrance of views of the park.

In contrast Suzy lives in a studio apartment and I have recommended that

she moved immediately as her Murphy bed blocks the door it's a bit small no

windows this much better. So I hope that you enjoyed this whole tour of New York

City through the eyes of Mrs. Maisel all about the locations in the show and if

you enjoyed this please don't forget to click the subscribe and bell button so

you don't miss a future video I do a ton of videos on New York City and travel in

general and with that as always say yes to new adventures and I'll see you next

time, bye!

Keto Diet Macros Ratio: Ketogenic Diet For Beginners (The Complete Guide) - Duration: 8:38.

Hey everyone, Carlo Macapinlac here from NewbieFitnessAcademy.com, I help busy professionals reach their fat

loss goals so they can feel more confident, be ready for any situation, and get the most

out of their lives. And in this video, I'm gonna teach you how to figure out your keto

diet macros ratio. This is the exact same process that I used

with one of my coaching clients and he's gone to become one of my best success stories.

He also happens to be my Dad. So you know it works. If you wanna know exactly how he

did it, make sure you stick around until the end of the video. And if you're new to the

channel, don't forget to hit that subscribe button to get notified every time I post a

new video every week. Alright, let's dive in.

Okay so let's talk about what a ketogenic diet for beginners is, first and foremost.

And this might be a quick review for some of you as well. A ketogenic diet for beginners

is a very low carb, moderate protein, and high fat diet. You have to be getting most

of your calories from fat or it's not a keto diet.

Now, you might be asking yourself right now. Isn't fat bad for you? And the short answer

is, no, eating fat won't make you fat. That's like one of the biggest nutrition myths of

all time. The problem is, a lot of people are still under the assumption that it's

true. If you want a quick history lesson about it, back in the 1960's, there was an uptick

in Americans dying from heart disease and scientists back then, led by a guy named Ancel

Keys who was very biased against fat, had two choices to blame. It was either fat or

sugar. And we all know who won that debate. So, Americans were told that fat was bad and

carbs and sugar were okay and now we have an obesity epidemic.

Okay, If we're talking strictly about a keto diet macros ratio, you wanna go around

at least 65-70% fat, 25% protein, and around 5% carbs. But I want you to treat those percentages

more as a guideline. The most important number here is the amount of carbs in your diet because

you don't have a lot of room for error here. You wanna be below 50 grams in total daily

when you're starting out, because there's gonna be an adaptation period where your body

is in the process of switching fuel sources. You have to give it some time. Once your body

becomes adapted to eating less carbs, then you wanna lower it even more to 20 grams or

less. Now, that sounds pretty easy to follow in

theory. Right? But how do you know if you're on point with your percentages or if you've

exceeded them? That's the hard part because 50 grams isn't a lot and there are so many

foods out there with hidden carbs and what you can't do is you can't just freestyle

this part. I've tried it, it doesn't work. So, what happens with the keto diet is, when

you give your body mainly fat to burn, it adapts to become very good at using fat for

energy. Your brain which was previously running entirely on glucose from sugar and starch

in your diet, begins to run on a new fuel called ketones which is produced in your liver

by breaking down fat. So as long as you don't give your body any carbs, in two to six weeks

you become fat adapted and then you're running mostly on fat for energy and now your body

enters a state called ketosis. Now, a pretty common mistake that people do

is they incorrectly assume that if they just lower their carbs, then they can do a ketogenic

diet, or that they can get most of the benefits that come from it. Unfortunately, it doesn't

work that way. You can't just half try this diet.

The best tip I can give you is you have to track your food and macros when you're on

a keto diet and I use a free app called MyFitnessPal for this. The app takes away any calculations

or complicated math that you'd have to do when it comes to figuring out your keto diet

macros ratio and tracking your food. Now, if you've never heard of the app before,

I have a separate video on how to use MyFitnessPal and I'm gonna put the link for it in the

description box.

Now I mentioned earlier about an adaptation period so let's talk about that real quick

because this can hold back a lot of people. For some people, when they switch to a keto

diet they kinda start to feel like crap, and this is commonly referred to as the keto flu.

Thankfully, it's perfectly normal and temporary. Think of your body going through "carb withdrawal,"

much like withdrawal associated with addictive substances. In fact, recent studies have compared

the effect of carbs, particularly sugar on the brain to that of addictive drugs like

cocaine!1 If you're somebody with a sweet tooth and you can't seem to help yourself

around sugar, you know exactly what I'm talking about here. Again, the keto flu is

just a period where your body is adjusting to a new way of fueling. Think of a vintage

car that hasn't been used in a while. At first, it might be a little rough as you wait

for the engine to warm up, but once you give it some time and it's up and running , it

starts to run smoothly. Now, one of the best benefits of a keto diet

is that it allows your insulin levels to become very low, and fat burning increases dramatically

because of it. Again, when your insulin levels are high, you can't access your own body

fat for energy. You just can't. Insulin blocks fat burning. And when you allow it

to get low, It becomes easy to access your fat stores to burn them off. This is great

if you're trying to lose weight. The keto diet also controls blood sugar levels,

and is excellent for reversing type 2 diabetes and this has been proven in a lot of studies.

9 It makes perfect sense since the keto diet lowers blood-sugar levels and reduces the

negative impact of high insulin levels mentioned earlier.

So let's go back to our case study and see how the ketogenic diet has affected his life.

Over many years of eating carbs, he developed high blood sugar levels. And this is common

for a lot of people who eat a lot of refined carbs and sugar. If he continued down this

path, it was only a matter of time until he developed Type 2 Diabetes. And a lot of people

experience this. In fact, 1 in 10 Americans suffer from Type 2 Diabetes.

Well, after 7 months of being on the ketogenic diet, again, controlling blood sugar levels

being one of its biggest benefits, he's all but lowered his blood sugar to normal

levels. He's lost 5 inches off his waist, he went from a size 33 to a size 28, and dropped

a whopping 20 lbs in 7 months. To put that into perspective, he hasn't been that lean

in about 30 years. It's like turning back time. But here's the thing. Health isn't

about the weight you lose but about the life you gain. How did all these awesome changes

translate to his every day life?

Well, he feels healthier than ever, he's got more energy, and he's just more confident

about himself. He can finally wear the clothes that he wants without feeling the need to

hide his belly. And this change has just opened up so many more opportunities in his life.

You simply can't put a price tag on that.

Who knew that you could basically have a brand new lease on life in your 50's?

Just like a lot of people, he was a little apprehensive at first to try the keto diet.

He thought it was just a fad. Actually, it was almost a forced trial because my mom started

packing him keto lunch for work every day and I used her in another case study in a

different video if you wanna see her amazing results. Long story short, he was inspired

by my mom's results. And once he stepped on the scale after a few weeks, he saw the

numbers drop and he was hooked from that point forward. You can't argue with results, right?

He's a man of few words but I asked him what his biggest takeaway is from this experience

and he said four simple words that should resonate with everyone.

"It's never too late".

Now if you're someone who's being struggling with your weight loss efforts for years, You

know, you've tried every diet under the sun and you can't seem to lose weight? Or

maybe you're feeling stuck because you did take that initial step but now you've hit

a weight loss plateau and you can't seem to get out of it and you realize that it's

Sanctuary • S01E19 • TPN's Angel Guide - Duration: 16:16.

After the blistering and gritty Five by Five, Sanctuary attempts to pick up the pieces and

move everyone forward.

I love these kinds of morning-after stories.

Morning after the happily ever.

Morning after the collapse.

But I think they're episodes that beg for an intimate character study because trying

to maintain the same level of action, emotion, and scale can too often creates a sense of

anti-climax.

For example, the most familiar icon from one of my other favorite shows Star Trek the Next

Generation is The Best of Both Worlds.

In it, the Borg capture Picard, brainwash him, and use him to destroy most of earths

defenses.

In the episode that follows, Family, one of my favorites, the crew take shore leave and

Pircard returns to France and his brother to try and process his trauma.

The morning after story is supposed to be overshadowed by what came before.

Generally speaking, they're stories about consequences.

Unfortunately, despite a wonderful opening 10 minutes, Sanctuary doesn't give it's

characters enough time to breath after the stunning Five by Five.

Instead it favors a plot driven story that ends in a shootout, misses an opportunity,

and has some characters driving drama by not behaving them like themselves.

It's a fun-at-times, adequate episode.

But after what came before, it feels like it could've been something special.

101

In

a lovely contrast to the brutal violent ending of the previous episode, Sanctuary opens...quietly.

I was immediately taken by the opening shot of the awkward elevator ride.

Faith and Angel wearing the evidence of their battle on their faces and a shell shocked

silence between them.

Things are now different and you can even see it in how out of place her outfit now

feels.

The black leather pants, the high boots.

The super-villain clothing no longer appears to fit her.

Kind of awesome really as it makes her seem somehow even MORE emotionally vulnerable in

the opening sequence.

Faith's armor is now transparent.

Angel, please get her an oversized sweater, some HUGE baggy sweatpants, and a pint of

ice cream STAT.

She NEEDS comfort clothing.

Angel puts her in his bed and wraps a warm fuzzy around her.

As he steps away we get a vision into the cauldron of violence still playing out in

Faith's head.

Is she...stabbing him in the face with a butcher knife?

YEESH.

The violent cutaways are appropriately horrifying, and setup via contrast to Angel's compassion.

Upstairs, the two brutalized other members of Angel Investigations are mending their

wounds together, feeling resentful that their attacker is getting a hug for it.

4:00 "She's still here I assume."

- "...he gave her his bed."

This is a crackling little scene that I could watch on repeat if I had to.

Wesley, understandably irate after nearly being tortured and murdered the night before,

is confused as to why Faith is receiving no punishment for what she's done.

5:00 "I know what to do with a rabid dog."

- "She's not a dog she's a person.

And in case you forgot, we're not in the business of giving up on people."

THAT one stings.

*torture cutaway

Their exchange essentially sets up the moral and philosophical questions of the episode.

Judgement vs rehabilitation.

Punishment vs atonement.

"There is evil in that girl Angel.

You set her free and she'll kill again."

"You can't just arbitrarily decide whose soul is worth saving and whose isn't?"

Back at the loft, Kate has taken an interest in the destruction from Faith and Angel's

fight.

Her spiral from her father's death and investigation into the paranormal has clearly had an impact

on her status with the rest of the police.

8:00 "Come on Kate.

Everyone knows you've gone all Scully."

- "Scully's the skeptic."

The English goobersquad that captured Buffy in the previous two parter try and cut a deal

with the spurned Wesley to let him back into the Watcher's again, in exchange for the

capture of Faith.

There's a minor bit of lore raised here that I couldn't help but notice.

14:00 "All those alchemists on the board of directors and they still make us fly coach."

Nor do they bother to paying the living expenses of the current Slayer which, presumably, would

help them keep her under their wing.

Faith was living in a rat trap motel.

The first thing the Mayor did was put her in a nice place.

The Watchers are stupid.

Back at Angel's Faith appears to be having some dissociative episodes.

"I need you to give me that knife."

201

The memories she has been using violence to numb herself from are pouring back.

She tries to leave and Angel appeals to her familiarity with running away and it's lack

of effectiveness.

You can't clean a slate by moving or running.

Not when the slate, is you.

18:40 "It's supposed to hurt.

All that pain.

All that suffering you've caused.

It's all coming back on you.

Feel it.

Deal with it.

And maybe you've got a shot at being free."

There is some good stuff here.

Some emotional and philosophical morsels that I had hoped would make up the meal of the

entire episode.

Instead, it's all compressed into this short little scene which makes it land more like

treacly pablum.

18:20 "There are some scenes you just can't take back no matter how sorry you are right?"

Faith's journey from suicidal sadist in the previous episode to guilty hand wringing

in a single day doesn't feel grounded or earned.

There's no weight to this scene.

Worse, and in a bit that foreshadows this episodes real priorities, it's all capped

off by her accidentally revealing that Buffy has a new beau which, by virtue of the added

musical stinger carries more dramatic weight than anything else in the scene.

No no, Sanctuary.

You're forgetting one night ago there was a gruesome torture and suicide attempt.

Lets keep our priorities straight here.

Faith and Angel battle a Wolfram and Hart assassin and the blood on her hands brings

on a panic attack.

As Angel comforts her in the face of it, in comes the Sunnydale Slayer.

"Buffy...we were attacked."

- "We?

You and Faith?"

- "It's not what you think."

We're going to have to talk about this episodes portrayal of Buffy but, for the record, I

think righteous anger is...well pretty much justified here after the two-parter in her

own series.

But there's a point where Buffy doesn't feel like Buffy anymore.

Faith attempts to apologize to Buffy:

26:00 "Buffy, I'm sssssorrry…."

- "If you apologize to me I will beat you to death."

Angel steps in.

Faith flees.

Buffy goes to chase.

Angel grabs her arm.

And she punches him in the face.

And THEN goes to punch him in the face AGAIN.

Angel deflects and hits back and we get her, "How DARE YOU sir!?!"

expression as a reaction.

...really?

But you just.

Twice.

Angel apologizes repeatedly but holy hell does this moment just not play right.

Cue some more hearty Bangel fighting in which Buffy feels totally out of character and Angel

eminently rational.

Faith runs into Wesley and Wesley guides her back to the basement where he shares the Goobersquad's

plan to capture her.

29:30 "Angel, it wasn't for her.

It's because I trust you."

- "I know."

Star Wars: "I love you."

- "I know."

#WANGEL

Lindey and Lillah realize Angel has given Faith shelter and turn the police his way

for harboring a known fugitive.

On the roof Buffy and Angel have the argument most convincing of Buffy's perspective and

behavior in this episode.

301

B: I gave you EVERY chance.

And you SPAT on me.

My life was just something for you to play with.

Angel.

Riley.

Anything that you could take from me you took.

I've lost battles before.

But nobody else has ever made me a victim.

That's a great speech and Faith makes an existential appeal after it.

**FAITH'S LINE

The Goobersquad attacks and are repelled.

Kate does her now frustrating delight at Angel's expense.

Buffy steps in.

And everyone turns to discover, Faith has turned herself in.

'I'd like to make a confession.'

And then what might be the best and the worst scene in the episode happens between Buffy

and Angel.

Worst because the way Buffy is written she learns nothing from the episode, acts like

a jerk saying 'haha I have a boyfriend now who is better than you,' and walks away

with an 'I told you so.'

Let's tackle that first.

There is some precedent for Buffy being bratty with Angel but it has always been counterbalanced

by a consequence or redeeming action of hers.

In Homecoming, in a scene which echoes this one, she tells post-traumatic-hell-dimension-tortured

Angel that she has a new boyfriend now who treats her right.

It always seemed kind of mean spirited to me but that scene is IMMEDIATELY followed

by:

"I don't think we should go out anymore."

In The Prom, Angel says his heart is telling him they need to breakup and Buffy says:

"You have a heart?

It isn't even beating."

That scene is immediately followed up by Buffy confessing to Willow.

"He's right Will."

And in Graduation Day Part 1, when Buffy acts out against Angel to try and replace heartache

with anger he is shot by a poison arrow and she saves his life in another act of self

sacrifice.

Finally, after all their talk, when Angel tries to talk even more in Graduation Day

Part 2 Buffy silences him.

"I'm just going to leave.

After Graduation."

The moment indicates she's ready to move forward.

You can't think your way into letting go of something or someone.

That's like trying to drop a ball by squeezing it tighter.

I've always enjoyed that bit.

And this.

Episode.

Backpedals. on every one of those moments, under the guise of Buffy seeking justice for

all the wrongs Faith did to her.

Which leads to the part of the scene I like where Angel redefines what his show is about.

38:30 "That you went behind my back…"

- "Buffy this wasn't about you.

This was about saving somebody's soul.

That's what I do here and you're not a part of it."

And that's the line between them and their two shows.

Buffy is the Slayer, the one in all the world (kind of.)

As of this episode, the paragon judge when it comes to all things mystical

"I'm sorry I can't be in your club.

I've never murdered anyone."

- and Sunnydale is her courtroom.

LA is where people come to be redeemed.

To atone and seek forgiveness.

And Angel is their champion whose own wrong doings eliminate him from laying down judgement.

Hmm...feels oddly familiar.

*Civil War Shot

Where Five by Five had a fairly singular focus (even Angel's flashbacks were really about

Faith) Sanctuary takes on trying to wrap up the events of Five by Five, Who Are You, AND

Graduation Day Part 2 with varying degrees of success.

401

-The relationship between Buffy and Angel has been in a sort of undistinguished limbo

since Graduation Day.

Angel told Buffy he was leaving in The Prom, they experienced their last dance, and Angel

walked away, but the spectre of their relationship has remained for them both.

*Angel hanging up the phone.

*Buffy coming to LA in I Will Remember You.

I Will Remember You showed that any change in their circumstances might drive them back

into each other's arms.

Their breakup was one of responsibility, not one of desire.

But in this episode Angel draws a hard line to indicate that their relationship is over

and done with because neither of them are the people they once were anymore.

"You don't know me, so don't come down to my city…"

Somehow this element of the episode is both the most emotionally satisfying and the one

I was least interested in.

It ends up being the most significant development of the episode but at this point, I'm over

the Bangel drama and ye gads did it's insertion at this moment in time feel tonally inappropriate.

Both Buffy and Angel have established themselves now as independent entities and the punch

for punch scene in the episode felt both silly and overwrought.

But by the end, FINALLY an adult boundary between them by the end.

-The episode also tries to address the events of Who Are You? but does such a bad job of

it that it ends up making Buffy (who was raped and whose boyfriend was also raped by Faith,

whose mother was kidnapped by Faith, and whose friends were all assaulted by Faith) into

the BAD guy.

There is essentially no difference in this episode between Buffy and the Goobersquad.

They are both completely assured of themselves and morally inflexible.

She both begins and ends the episode as the aggressor, somehow using the events of the

episode to justify her perspective and an 'I Told You So.'

"See?

Faith wins again."

I'm not suggesting that anyone in her position should be expected to just forgive and forget

but from a storytelling perspective revisiting those beats from her series here without developing

her at all makes the crossover feel a little cheap.

It's Angel's show but the universes are so intertwined Buffy and Angel BOTH feel like

main characters.

Something to consider as a thought experiment: Would someone who'd only watched Angel have

an accurate representation of Buffy's character?

Or even, would someone who'd watched only Angel have an accurate sense of ANGEL's

perception of Buffy?

Buffy who saw good in him early in their relationship.

Who Angel saw sacrifice herself to save the world?

Who risked her own life to save his before, again, saving the world?

Or…

501

"What gives you the right?"

*WHAM "I have someone now."

"See?

Faith wins again."

-Lastly there is the resolution to Five by Five, the element of the story I was MOST

invested in that ends up dwarfed by all these Bangel bits.

The first ten minutes of the episode are, to me, the most compelling.

Angel being Faith's sponsor on the road to evil-rehab had rich potential.

There was a chance to do something genuinely interesting with Faith's character and,

by association, his.

Faith's attempt at suicide in Five by Five echoed Angel's in Amends but, remember,

I mentioned in the Amends review that that episode didn't represent Angel choosing

a path yet.

That comes after much soul searching (see what I did there?) in Season 3 before he makes

the choice to not take comfort in Buffy and a relationship that can never be, but rather

to leave Sunnydale and pursue his redemption.

The Faith parallel here is her turning herself into the police at the end of the episode,

but the journey to get there occurs in the shadow of the Bangel and in the bombastic

noise of the goobersquad b-story.

I'm not entirely sure when Faith's moment of clarity in the episode happens because

there is so much superfluous stuff here that it may actually occur offscreen.

The Bangel bits were important as was addressing Buffy's feelings after Who Are You? but

they're so inadequately handled here that there is a wonderful if completely tangential

Angel cameo in the next Buffy episode, The Yoko Factor, in order to properly tie everything

off.

And in a manner that actually feels in character for them both.

Somewhere in the middle of the two perspectives is Wesley.

Who is initially tempted back to the absolutes of Watcher's council but, after having had

to come to grips this season with his own fallibility...

"I'm a fraud."

...embraces Angel's mission and, in doing so, his own journey for redemption.

Sanctuary is such an oddly mixed bag.

There is a lot here that I enjoy but it never feels like it gels and comes together.

The writing credit for the show went to both Joss and Tim Minear, who both have very distinct

voices.

I think you can hear them alternating in this one rather than singing in harmony.

But it's possible what I wanted Sanctuary to be had some undue influence on my experience

of what it actually was.

It is a VERY different episode from Five by Five.

In fairness, Angel had the bulk of a season to make the journey from Amends to Graduation

Day - and maybe there was no way to deliver that same story with Faith and have it be

satisfying.

So, they reached for the threads they knew they could handle and ended the episode with

Faith's first step (in her own body at least.)

It works well enough.

After all, the decision to change, to be better, is usually not something that happens in sharp

turns but by degrees.

We are creatures of habit that have carved familiar avenues in our brains by making the

same mistake over and over again.

At some point, those avenues may call to us for the rest of our lives.

But true freedom is choice, and choice is something that flickers only in the present

PLATINUM GUIDE #03: Go for the eyes w/ Juggernauts & Shotguns [Commented gameplay] (Mass Effect MP) - Duration: 17:48.

hello everyone and welcome to a new guiding platinum video this is the third

video in the series and today I dedicated the session to the goal for

the eyes challenge this is the build that we used I focused on shotguns and

my friend had to pull and I was hosting okay that's the first thing that you

want to do or what is to try is to host a weak point seem like this in fact

you'll see that many people tend to play this mission because it makes things so

easy at least for the host so that's why my friend is using the poor you know

what my opinion in this gun is in fact he's using it because it can miss shots

and it doesn't want that that's why I'm using a fast firing weapon but I'll be

focusing exclusively on shotguns and you'll see that it's Debbie ficient

it's basically the same bill that my 15 gold solo with the three and half of

trooper

and on many occasions should see that by combining our powers the snap freeze

debuff effects we sometimes happen to kill big enemies in a few shots and

that's very impressive so this was supposed to be a duo but a third person

joined in and this was supposed to be at all in all the only game but

unfortunately didn't choose the same character as we did so yeah so the

observers are very easy to kill then you can kill them in one shot without even

using snap freeze thanks to the crusader I mean it's so powerful the first

objective we got was a float and the faction we are fighting against you know

that is the outer faction so why not make if she collects about the out of

action for now in the first two waves stealth Reapers occurs on the field for

the first two ways but in fact there's a cap on the number of the circles you

will fight in these ways in the first waver I think there are six

preservatives total you know you see how the berserkers died could clean things

to stop for these two shots and that's already a large you know five observers

and the same goes with the Hydra you'll see that if she managed to shoot the

weak point at the top of the Hydra especially when it smelling you it's the

perfect Roma to do that then you'll see that it dies very quickly as the

observers do so for a second wave the number of physicals is nine please refer

to my budget testing video to see how I did that

we had to separate basically because otherwise it would have been impossible

to deal with all the enemies at the same time so that's why my friend went on

another area and I stayed in this area because that's the most difficult one to

take actually it's very open and the enemy is gonna come from everywhere as

you can see so you have to you know focus on this one first and I chose to

stay there instead of my friend simply because I'm more experienced than it is

you know I have more survivability skills than he does so he's not used to

soloing for instance I mean never solo day goal game you see how quick the

Hydra died and that was not our purpose but I think we even managed to reach the

budget for both the berserkers and the Hydra in a team game that's the first

thing you want to do if you have an objective you know that I upload

although there's another Hydra so we didn't erase the budget but still we

killed a few so I think there are three hydras yeah there are three hydras in

this wave so that's probably the third one anyway

that's also the last time they have so many observers on the field next way

there is only three of them and yeah if you don't shoot the weak point of the

observer then it takes longer to die but once you manage to find the point you

can kill them in one shot you see usually I need two shots before I find

the correct shot but sometimes it happens that I can kill them in one shot

I actually counted it's the third of those

I killed in three shots I mean I it's time it's one two three so welcome to

you human infiltrator and you could have been a joggin Aldo

but still infiltrator let me tell you a few things about them I never played

them in team gameplay because the program mode in straightest is that they

troll other players if you're not used to using infiltrators in a team as

teamwork not as you know the lone wolf type of gameplay then if you're playing

as a team you need to know things like don't go invisible when dehydrates

shooting you just I don't know find another way but the problem is that you

troll all the players very very very rapidly especially enemies like I don't

know the ascendant or destroyers destroy also in fair when someone goes into the

ball so yeah focus on the Hydra thanks to the bonus on weak points it's very

easy to make the Hydra blinds so in this wave I'm not sure that with the wood the

wave budget for the berserkers is in my opinion I think that there's an

unlimited number of Pacifica's so it's preferable to focus on the Hydra

whenever you can

but again the berserkers are very you know easily dealt with thanks to the

piranha you know I I have this ability not to miss my shot but the Crusaders

very effective as well is that's also glass weight with the observer

unfortunately in fact because the anointed replaced the observers it's

more difficult you should add the anointed weak point all right no

remember when you use the parada it's like you're taking pictures I already

made the comparison in another video but I think that's a nice comparison because

that's how is it so that's how I focus on the weak point you know I don't know

I think it's easier than the Crusader the Crusader is it is fine but sometimes

I don't know stability or something like this makes you miss your shots oh shit

that was the berserkers so here that's something you don't want devices in

pursuit because at the same time they will keep on throwing a cannon at you

and that will prevent you from completing the objective so whenever

there is the per circle either you get rid of them as quick as possible or are

you just trying to kind em away from the objects as I said about this build in

another video a gold solo in fact it's easier to find a weak points with the

Crusader but that doesn't mean that it's impossible to do the same thing with the

Piranha the Piranha is very useful

objects is easier in fact the devices can be really really frustrating when

there's enemies like the circles next to you this one

come on Hydra this one is different and you have more time sorry you need not

worry about a valid time at all well not as much as four devices that was a big

change they did with devices it used to be like retrieval unfortunately some

players said it is too easy and Bioware helped that so they decided to patch the

game and you know they made it hack like a plug I don't know what kind of players

that were talking to when they made these changes but obviously not the

majority of players

so the fifth wave is a wave that can be very long except if you focus fire on

the hydros because there's a limited number of hydras or a disciple - as well

look at this disciple to the Sharpshooter kill them in one shot with

the Crusader can you realize this can you do this with the pole again you

can't that's very impressive this build is so damn effective look at this

there's not even show gate this gun goes through she'll gate I mean I can all my

giddy on that's so impressive I know I'm the one playing but I'm not impressed at

the play I'm impressed at the gun okay I think I could have played better than

this it's just that I want people are ready to use this gun when you know when

they go on a recon mission because that's so effective and that's a perfect

way you know to make the most of the budget composition of platinum it's all

about experience and you know experience points so the monomers you kill on

objective ways the higher your score will be so in the end it's preferable to

use you know weapons that can deal with the enemy very very very quickly so that

you can you know try to make the most of the wave budget

once the hydras are gone the way it should go

quicker but they hurry careful about these damn saboteurs you can kill them

in one shot yeah but they can kill you in three that doesn't change especially

when they all three of them you know they can just give you one shot each be

very careful well they all really tend to do that and

usually if one is shooting the other is hiding and another is doing its finger

thing energy drain in fact so yeah I don't know it depends the saboteurs are

sometimes quite unpredictable but you see that they tend to remain to stick

together because they are more effective like this the sixth way was targets best

objective ever easy easy down easy things could have been very very

different with upload or or something like this but it's how to test a budget

for these waves so I'm not sure about whether there's a cap on certain enemies

or not

Problably the Ascendant. I never tried to focus fire on it because it's

you know in the only new enemy in this wave.

I don't think there's any Saboteurs now that's one big change at least!

so as you see we don't necessarily focus on the targets we don't want to speed up

on the thing in fact we just want to play for experience especially for my

friend because as far as I'm concerned my driving up is level 20 so I don't

care about leveling up and my burning stats were already at maximum I think so

it was not necessary for me to know to grind for experience but my friend if

still grinding so is you know started to came early this year in January I mean

we were playing for New Year's Eve together and this was one of these first

time I was playing so that's why yeah laughs that's why it's still grinding

but I've been playing since day one so yeah

and I don't know this build is done infected there are so many builds that

work with the juggernaut because touch other not thanks to damage resistance

and things to is excellent remnant Alma can work on platinum whatever the bill

you choose but they are builds that in my opinion are more effective than

others and focusing on snap freeze instead of

shockwave is the first thing you want to in my opinion if you want to deal quick

damage and again that's you know something I already said in my "Smart

Builds" video but why not repeat it? 'Snap freeze' has a debuff effect, especially on

enemies with armor and enemies with armor are usually very boring and music snap

freezes and rested on the Berserker and on the anointed will allow you to kill them

quicker so if you're playing for score if you're playing to be the first you

know in the in the school table at the end then do that okay and stop using the

PAW. Please. Especially if you're hosting. Iif you're

not a hosting, I can understand this. But if you're hosting you're not

making the most of the character you have in your hands.

I mean look at this it's very easy to kill enemies with that with this bill

evenly ascendant all this beautiful Hydra well someone used a rocket instead

but that's what's not necessary

and in fact the only time I use shockwave is either to detonate my cry

come but once the it's not freeze debuff affected wearing off or when someone is

priming the enemy with I don't know incineration or even the Cobra then I

use shockwave to detonate the fire combo before I use snap freeze I mean that's

perfectly logical innit

in the end it took us like 15 minutes three players you know if my friend the

the one that joined in wave three I'd used to toggle out I believe we could

have you know done better than this especially because we have targets every

last time on you know riding experience

annointed hydras and the ascendance that's what the wave is made of I mean

what is interesting with the Aqua faction is that in spite of the number

of pisacas recurring every single wave it's interesting to see that the more

you progress through the waves the more you forget about the berserkers because

they anointed or the ascendant will make your life so tougher then in the end of

it occurs or not in the first thing we should be worried about it's only Armour

remember that's inside the Bruns so that was the Platinum trio that was supposed

to be a jewel I turned it into a guide for weak points and how to use an

efficient build with the human juggernaut stop freeze and shotguns

thank you for watching this video I hope you enjoyed it if you did please hit the

like button and subscribe if you haven't already you can also share this video or

any video you want thank you for watching and see you in the next one bye

Hong Kong Street Food Tour & Travel Guide - Duration: 17:58.

Hong Kong is the quintessential example of east meets west,

and it's fusion food is world- renowned.

Over the next couple days as we film our episode,

we're taking you with us to try the best food in Hong Kong....

from street food to Chinese barbecue. Let's do it.

The story of Hong Kong is pretty wild.

It was a sleepy fishing village until the 1800s

when a series of crazy events led it to become part of the British Empire.

Back then the British Empire had a problem:

a major trade deficit with China.

The British were importing tons of things from China: silk, tea, and porcelain,

but the Chinese didn't want to bring anything back from Britain, just take the gold.

So the British came up with a devious plan:

they got the Chinese hooked on opium.

They grew it cheaply in their colony of India and flooded the Chinese market

to the point of causing a full-blown opioid epidemic.

When the Chinese tried to put a stop to the trade,

the British responded militarily in what became known as the First Opium War.

There were two.

Put simply, the Chinese lost and the British took Hong Kong as a colony.

Hong Kong remained a British colony for a hundred and fifty six years,

becoming a major trading port with a fabulously wealthy economy

before returning to Chinese rule in in 1997 with the promise of 50 years of autonomy.

Alright ladies and gentlemen, right now we are in the neighbourhood of Kowloon on the peninsula.

Hong Kong is actually the Island of Hong Kong,

but the region is actually the surrounding areas, including this peninsula.

Now the island is super small,

so everything there is a lot more expensive because there's not a lot space.

We're going to a local market called Mong Kok Market,

which is a wet market and that's apparently the best place to get street food in the area.

Let's go check it out.

In order to get there, we're going to have to hop on the subway.

So let's go for a ride.

We've descended into the subway,

but before we can get to a subway station, we've had to walk through a mall.

Hong Kong is very world famous for its shopping....

tons of designer brands, usually at prices much more affordable than back home,

some of the shops of dubious quality,

but when in Hong Kong you've got to shop, got to eat.

Well, I literally stopped a film for maybe 15 seconds,

and I've totally lost Mark down here.

There are just so many people,

and it's kind of like sensory overload,

but that was quick.

I got lost in maybe 10 seconds.

There's so many people here. 130?

All right, we got day passes.

We'll be able to use the metro, which goes all over Kowloon and connects us to the city, as well.

We'd like to get to the island by the scenic Star Ferry, but first things first.

We're hungry, and this is the fastest way to get the market.

First up we're going to try to keep things a little bit healthy in the beginning.

We are at a produce market, and we're going to have some jackfruit,

which is a type of fruit that grows here in Southeast Asia.

This jackfruit is a typical fruit from this part of the world.

You don't find it a ton in the US,

but it's becoming more popular with vegan cooking because it's like a meat substitute.

Not too sweet though.

There's a little bit of a seed pod in there.

Yeah there is, right there.

And when he's chopping it up, it's almost like a garlic,

like shelling a garlic. I lost my seed pod.

That's what the seed looks like.

Not bad.

It's pretty neutral, like the flavor's neutral.

It's not that sweet. It's not that savory.

Well this place is incredible.

When you come to Hong Kong, the food scene here is so diverse. It's so vibrant.

But what a lot of people miss is where those raw materials come from.

A market like this is very representative of how local people here get their food.

Dish by dish, day by day, they come to the market.

They get the ingredients fresh.

A lot of times, especially with the fish and stuff,

they're delivered still alive, which means you can't get produce

you cannot get materials fresher than this,

and that is one of the main reasons why the food here is so good.

I was in Hong Kong nine years ago on this trip I did through Southeast Asia after college.

I went to Hong Kong for about a week stayed at the Chungking mansions,

the cheapest places around, and I was partying by going in that

7/11 over there and drinking beers from the refrigerator.

We're getting some directions from some friendly locals because we're a little bit lost .

The market that we came to, Graham Street Market,

we thought was going to be be more of a street food market,

but turns out it's like more of a produce market.

The mission continues.

It's starting to get a little late.

It's about 4:30 in the afternoon,

but really street food does not really take off until the evening until 7 or 8 p.m.

We still have some exploring to do.

We're going to find food.

One of the coolest things about the city is the geography.

It's a small island; it's very, very steep.

And there's a lot of people living in a very small place.

You have all these streets like this that go up and down the hill,

and they're like massive highways of foot traffic.

On top of them a lot of them have these escalators that basically take you up and over the crowds

and drop you in central spots.

It's a very good free budget activity

because it's like almost going on a gondola across the city.

You get to see everything just about 30- 40 feet above the ground. It's very cool.

We've come to Yat Lok.

This is a restaurant that's been around since 1957,

but it actually has a Michelin star, and that's because here in China,

the Michelin Guide has

really expanded to include a lot of stuff that's

street food and little like mom and pop spots like this, especially here in Hong Kong and Macau.

It's been in the Michelin Guide for the last four years.

They're famous for their roast goose and noodle soup,

and it's time to eat.

Roasted goose with noodles and BBQ pork is good right now.

The broth Is really light. It's super flavorful.

The goose is delicious.

The skin is like crispy and sweet.

It's really yummy.

We found this little street food joint.

They specialize in seafood and we've ordered what we think are fish balls.

They come with some bok choy, it says dace, but we don't know what dace is.

It's really nice. It's light.

It's not too fishy

It's really good. Try some.

This is basically a dumpling without the flour outside of it.

It's like a snail outside of its shell.

All right, so we are off the island.

We're back on the peninsula; we're at Temple Street.

There's a night market here.

They sell all sorts of gifts books and gadgets, as well as a bunch of street food.

Now we're going to try to find some of the most authentic street food from here in Hong Kong.

It's very local; it's very busy,

and it's very cheap. Let's go.

All right, here we have curried fish balls.

They're basically fish balls that are cooking on a curried sauce served on a stick.

I got six of them here for just over one u.s. dollar.

That's nine Hong Kong dollars. So let's see what they taste like.

The fish ball is super good.

I've have had fish balls and other parts of China.

The curry though, I don't know where it comes from.

Maybe it's from the influence of Indian migrants who've come here over the years.

I don't know, but it tastes delicious.

Right now we're about to get what could be one of my favorite foods on planet earth....

Quintessentially, Cantonese dim sum.

They have a bunch of different styles here.

You can get it all over the city in Hong Kong,

but we're going to hop across the street here,

grab some dim sum, and see how it is.

Let's go.

Honestly, this is probably the crappiest dim sum in the city,

and it's still really good.

Alright next up is stinky tofu.

It's like tofu, but it stinks.

Alright, we're going to see how it tastes.

Hopefully, it tastes better than it smells.

This is a classic street food here in Hong Kong .

It is stinky because the tofu has been soaking in a brine of milk, meat, and veggies

for quite a while, usually a couple of weeks.

So that's what makes it smell bad.

It doesn't smell that bad.

Does it smell bad?

It kind of smells like an old sock.

Super appetizing. Yeah.

Wow

Pungent taste.

Stinky taste? It tastes stinky.

I actually think it tastes worse than it smells,

no offense to locals here who love it.

If Marko gave it that review, I'm not going to lie.

I'm slightly worried because usually Mark's all like,

all chirpy, all positive, even with disgusting foods.

Let's give stinky tofu a shot.

Smells like sweet and sour sauce because I did a thorough dipping,

but I'll try the side that's not covered in sauce first.

It doesn't taste bad.

It's just like...it's sour.

It's legitimately sour; it's kind of bitter,

and it creeps up on you like the first bite. Oh, it's fine.

It's just deep fried tofu.

And then once you start to chew it and it hits your taste buds,

it's almost like your mouth starts watering

It kind of smells like if you went to the gym real hard

and then you left your gym clothes in the closet for two or three days.

That's kind of what it smells like.

Mmm

Way better than stinky tofu.

This is nice. Yeah

Garlic

garlic, fresh green onions, glass noodles,

and I've never seen a clam like this.

It's extremely long.

It's like six inches long

Without a doubt, that is the winner so far on the street food scene.

Delicious.

So good the clams with the glass noodles

and a very generous serving of garlic and spring onions on top.

It's just absolutely delectable.

We've made some friends with our neighbors here at the restaurant.

They're from Korea, super friendly and they've offered us a little bit of their chicken meat.

It's actually really good.

It's garnished with some cashew nuts,

some pepper, some spring onion, a little bit of lettuce.

Is that garlic as well? Wow.

Super good.

Alright guys, thanks for watching.

We did our best to eat some local Hong Kong food.

Probably didn't get it all.

If you have some tips on what else we should try next time we come to Hong Kong,

leave them below in the comment section.

As you may know, we have been doing this in our spare time

while hosting our new TV show.

As Marko said this is by no means an extensive one-stop-shop for Hong Kong,

but we do want to come back.

We want to do a big Southeast Asia trip.

So if you have any destinations that you really want us to cover,

please share them down in the comment section.

If you have any tips, any restaurants for other travellers,

make sure to share those as well.

Don't forget, we also made a full-length TV episode about Hong Kong.

We ate at some great restaurants, everything from street food to Michelin-Starred restaurants.

Make sure you go check that out on Tastemade channel on

YouTube TV here in the United States.

And hopefully that will be available internationally soon.

If you enjoy this video, you know to do:

big thumbs- up, share it with your friends,

subscribe, turn on notifications.

And in the meantime remember:

stay curious, keep exploring, and we'll see you guys on the road.

Peace.

Fallout 76 BETA Starters Guide & BETA Times (Fallout 76 Tips and Tutorial) - Duration: 5:55.

hi guys welcome back to my fallout 76 beta starters guide this is a full

beginner's guide for anyone who just starting the beta may be a mess the

first beta don't know what to expect if you're in ps4 PC or Xbox one who already

have access to the beta this will surely help you navigate roam the game I also

have other videos one on base building and other guides to help you navigate

your way through the wasteland now beta isn't available every single day we've

already left us from the first beta only being four hours and no afridi gap in

between Xbox one already have access to the tamed beaters however ps4 and PC do

not access until the 30th of October you can keep up to date with what times the

beta is actually available to you and your time zone via the Twitter and other

social medias of Avesta and follow both links are below

fallout 76 invites you to play in the multiplayer world and Belby sees when

leaving the vault pack up your camp this is a deplorable

item which allows you to build your own base within the wasteland

now you can't build in certain zones ie monuments but pretty much anywhere in

the map you can build your own base for less you'll need resources you can get

up by getting rid of the floor or taking junk to any what bench or a lot benches

you've crafted and making it into scrap

ensure that you always looked areas and bodies no this is key because you get a

lot of stuff from newness and you can gain XP for finding certain things now

take old junk that you find make sure you go to what benches on a regular

basis any of the campsites or even in your own base and turn into scrap

you'll require scrap to craft weapons armor and other items and the game is

very key to start doing us at an early stage because I personally feel the

scrap is going to be like a mean and game currency for you to actually

progress any further

as soon as you leave the vault you will find yourself already in a quest no I

highly urge you carry out these quest these are always shown on your map and

the top right of your screen for any act of quests if you want do the quest you

can disable them and the pet boy on top of that there's also community events no

these give great rewards as well as a quest you gave your armor scrap caps the

very worth doing and it'll help you gain XP fast as well it's very much quest

orientated which a lot of people didn't think it would be but actually as

fallout 7 assets' gives you your own stash box and though only you can see

what's in this box other players also use this box you don't think if you put

something in there they can see what you've actually placed this can be found

in any of the major towns or any non locations with stash boxes this is key

because you can also have one in your base no a stash box as a box where you

can put any items in there and pick up at any other location which has a stash

box these are critical to use as you progress from the map anything you find

this high tier or high weight place it into the box make sure the box isn't

fill because it has a weight limit too and you can get it safely when you get

back to your base using your pet body can be quite annoying to actually get

items nofollow' 76 has different scroll wheels know they have new emotes but

most importantly there is a scroll wheel to hotkey weapons stem packs and other

useful things make sure you use this because in combat et cetera

it can become very useful I found that so myself when I was putting a beta and

I managed to run around and quake quake because I didn't preserve my ammunition

get a melee weapon very quickly and kill a federal girl parrot cards are going to

be a huge part of fall of 76 now I'm not going to tell you the best bail to mate

with pet cards because everyone is different I play different from you you

play different from me and I haven't had enough time to play the parrot cards for

the limited 4 hours I've played now one thing to note though if you are a solo

player some parrot cards benefits all players more same goes with

some pet cars can actually benefit drips so make sure you use the right pet cards

for wherever where you're playing the game now for my final tip try and use

melee weapons as much as possible in the very early stages you're going to be in

very low tier areas with very low to your girls

they're all gonna be level one melee weapons are very much ideal for this

because ammunition as unity resources to craft and it can be quite annoying to

find as well I recommend the machete or the wooden

board that's all I use really for the first part of the game when I was

putting the beta keep your guns at I mean I shouldn't for later game because

you don't want be grinding just to get ammunition all the way through so guys

that is my quick guide for starters for the beta fall of 76 as we get more

access I will try to get more advanced guides out as you can imagine it's very

limited at the minute because we can only use what we've actually done in the

game if you haven't already subscribe we'll be doing more streams more

playthroughs and if it with fain it's really interesting we put it in desk or

the link for that is below you're more than welcome to join we're trying a

community Sarah if they release them as well anyone in this chord will to join

now as well and also daily competitions and that's called for steam keys for

random games so guys Frank's often bye and I'll catch

you in the next one

[DFFOO] Overcoming Sadness Co-op Quick Guide Score 110000 - Duration: 3:42.

Hello. I am Harvey.

Today's video is about "Overcoming Sadness Co-op".

This boss is surprisingly difficult to beat at this moment as Awakening is not coming out yet.

I expect the meta of this Co-op stage will change as soon as the Awakening patch hit.

For now though, I found that the fastest composition to complete the stage is Rydia, Sazh and Sephiroth.

All of them at maximum limit break of course.

Rydia's 35 CP weapon provides the whole team's attack with water element.

This boosted the damage a lot.

With Sazh's help, Sephiroth's damage is pretty crazy.

The earliest completion that I have with this composition is at Turn 15.

Sadly I didn't record that game.

This game finished at Turn 18, which is still pretty good.

This game also shows some order control (tricks) with Sazh.

I think it can be a pretty good tool to learn about the "ATB" system that this game is using.

Anyway, thanks for watching, and I will see you tomorrow.

A Self Skin Check Guide - What to look for to detect skin cancer early - Duration: 1:12.

For people looking at home what should they look out for?

Let's say you've got moles, what are the things that you look for?

There are three types of skin cancer - basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC)

Then there's melanoma skin cancer. What are some warning signs that people should look for?

Or, snap, take a photo of, and get checked?

Anything new and anything you've noticed changing.

Anything atypical (a "stand-out" lesion / the "ugly duckling").

If you notice borders of the mole/spot changing. Or any changing colors

Any growing in size - ANY changes

Then that is something that you could use the Firstcheck App for

To take a photo of it and send it away to the skin cancer doctor

And the doctor will easily recognize if there's any irregularity in it

If in doubt, check it out. That's always been my motto. Exactly, if in doubt check it out!

You can get it checked through the Firstcheck App to get a skin cancer doctor to have a look

You can access it all now through your mobile phone

Guide to Colors & Palettes (just in time for Huevember!) - Duration: 8:32.

*Music*

Hi everyone, it's me, Bibs, and today I am going to talk about colors

and about palettes! I will cover the primary, secondary, and tertiary colors

and the colors schemes that come with it. I will tell you ways to create contrast,

and common pitfalls with color, and how to avoid them. Hopefully, by the end of this video,

you will feel comfortable enough to experiment with colors and

carry the set of skills that I have told you and perhaps even participate in huevember with me this year.

All that being said, let's get started.

Color, scientifically speaking, is radiation that bounces off of an object and is interpreted by the eye.

Color is scientifically proven to cause certain feelings. (ex.) blue is calming, and yellow alerts to danger.

Here's a little bit of color vocabulary:

"Tone" is the color + gray. It can also be referred to as saturation.

"Tint" is the color + white, so it becomes lighter, and "shade" is the color + black, so it becomes darker.

Primary colors cannot be created from other colors, which would be red, yellow, and blue.

Secondary colors are made from mixing two primary colors. So red and yellow make orange,

yellow and blue make green, and red and blue make purple.

And the tertiary colors are created when a primary and a secondary color are mixed.

The color [names] are self-explanatory. Red-orange, yellow-green, blue-green... and thus.

Here on the color wheel I have listed a handy little guide. P is for primary so we can see the red the yellow and the blue,

[S] Secondary is all here, and tertiary is labeled by the "T"s

Now we can get into color schemes!

A complementary color scheme are the two opposites on the color wheel.

So "red and green" or "yellow and purple"... "blue and orange"...

Those are the very common complementary color schemes. Split complementary is

/almost/ complementary, but instead of choosing the color "opposite,"

it's the two colors on the left and on the right of that color.

So instead of being "red and green" it would be red and bluish-green with yellow-green.

Or green with reddish purple and red-orange.

Split complementary still has a lot of contrast but it also adds a lot of harmony.

since [split complementary] is not as harsh.

*music*

Double complementary and triangle color schemes... You should be very careful with them because

the more colors you add to a piece the easier it is to lose focus.

*music* A double complementary scheme is kind of self-explanatory.

It tends to form a rectangle on the color wheel. So you would have, maybe, red, purple

orange, and blue on your piece. Or you would have... *music*

green, red, orange, and blue. *music*

A triangle color scheme is evenly spaced on the color wheel

and often has a nice contrast to it.

So we'd have red, blue, and yellow

or purple, orange, and green.

*music*

An Analogous color scheme are the colors that are next to each other on the color wheel,

Usually just two or three [colors]. So (ex) red, red-orange, and orange;

or yellow-orange, yellow, and yellow-green. [Analogous] has a lot of harmony and unity but

compared to a complementary color scheme there's less contrast.

Here are a few examples. You would the the blue-violet, the reddish-violet, and the normal violet.

Or you would have yellow green, yellow-orange, and yellow.

It's a very nice way to put all your colors together without just using the same color.

Speaking of just using the same color, there are monochrome color schemes,

where it's just one color and taking advantage of all its tones and tints and shades to make the piece.

It is a good practice for tonal range, but if you're not careful it can be really boring

so if you're using all grays, if you use grays that are too close to each other it might become very boring to look at.

I have two examples here: one in red and one in blue.

There is a difference in the tints and shades (within the color scheme) so that the eye travels around the piece

without being bored or without getting lost. Speaking of the eye getting bored of lost,

Common pitfalls is: when there's too much contrast, too /little/ contrast, if it's muddy, of if

it's called "eye strain" when it happens, which is really common among beginner artists.

When [the colors] are so bright that the viewer's eyes might hurt if they look at it because

[the artists] go wham on the saturation and they put it as bright as can be

and then the colors get lost. Alternatively, while it's not eye strain, when there's too much contrast

the red is really red, the green is really green, the blue is really blue... so where is the viewer supposed to look?

You can't quite tell what I want you to look at here Alternatively when there's too little contrast

everything is really close in tone and there's nothing to focus on.

Here, you have the color which looks very gray and odd.

And then when you go to the tone you can't even tell where one color ends and the other begins

because they all look like one gray blob. When it's muddy, the is (can be) a nice tonal range,

But everything is really gray. It's in between of being proper gray and being a color that pops out

so it's just in this in between zone where it all becomes /muddy/ and it all blends together.

So how do you avoid this? Well, you think about what color you want to "pop out"

So, in this scenario, I would want the hair to come out more than anything.

So I would think about that and make the blue brighter here, and make the red softer

so that the eye travels here. I would add the green for a bit of an accent,

And I would make sure that the tonal range is different enough that the eye travels

directly to what to what I want [the viewer] to look at.

In this case the background is white; the eye will immediately focus on what's darker.

So the face is light and the hair pins are at a bit of an in between and then the hair is a lot darker.

And that is how you can use saturation, tone, tints and shades... and very them to create contrast.

So what you want to stand out you make one thing, and what you want to frame it you make another [color].

The light red is- leads the eye towards the dark blue hair and vice versa.

The viewer's eye will travel around the piece without getting lost or hurting their eyes like eye strain would.

Hopefully I have explained things well enough that you can go and experiment with color to make a unique piece,

and there is no "wrong" way to do art, so just try to see what different color schemes

you like and want to experiment with, and maybe you'll like brighter colors or more gray colors

It's really up to you; I can't tell you how you want to do your art. And I know you can do it.

Y'know, if you put your mind to it you will find what you enjoy most.

So! Try huevember this year with me this year! It's good practice with colors and I'm confident that we'll both do a wonderful job together!

*music* Here's a final little question, think of it as a bit of a "pop quiz"

Hmm... What color scheme is this? You can either leave the answer as a comment or just quiz yourself.

The answer will be in the video description. So...

By the way, I think you'll get it right ;) I have faith in you. :)

All that being said, I think we're done for today! I want you to work hard and to keep doing what you're doing!

I know you can do it! Bye-bye!
