(Emily giggles)
- [Emily] Wooo!
(guests laughing)
- Whoa, that made this way easier!
- [Emily's sister] My freshman year, Emily came to visit me,
and well the whole weekend, I kept hearing these stories of,
"Well, my new friend Mike, we would go
"hang out and I've been hanging out with him
"and he brings me pizza and we drive around in this truck."
All weekend, all I heard were these stories of Mike,
and I was like "Who is this Mike?"
And obviously, being a very perceptive sister,
something was going on, so I by the end of the weekend
got Emily to spill a little secret
that the night before she came to visit me,
her and this Mike guy held hands.
(audience wooing)
I know!
Very, very fishy.
The next month, I went to college station,
I realized very quickly that it was more
than a one-time hand holding occurrence,
and that this Mike was probably here to stick around.
Fast forward three and a half years,
I am not surprised in the slightest that we are here.
That first weekend I met Mike,
I knew that he was the one for Emily.
- [Emily] Miller Mike, Mikey-Mike, my fiancé,
and now my husband.
What are you doing later today, wanna hang out?
I can't believe that today is finally here.
It feels like just yesterday that we were
two kids in college station,
just learning to fall in love.
Well, here we are, and we're getting married.
Can you believe that?
- [Mike] Emily, I've tried writing this
first sentence about five times now,
because I know the words won't even come close
to the meaning behind what I'm try to say.
That and I couldn't figure out
where the comma was supposed to go in my first sentence.
I thank our gracious Father daily for providing me
such a beautiful, loving, funny,
forgiving, and thoughtful best friend like you.
I cannot wait to begin this next chapter
of our lives together, knowing every single day,
good or bad, I get to come home to
the most beautiful, smiling and loving woman I know.
A smile that can light up a room,
and a love that can make anyone's day instantly better.

Emily, I love you, and I know this love
is from Our Heavenly Father, because of this,
I want to be your husband.
- [Emily] Mike, I love you.
I prayed for a Godly man, and today I praise Our Father
that my prayer is being fulfilled.
- [Mike] I promise to be faithful to you, and love you.
I promise to guide and protect you.
- The bible gives us a perfect example of this love.
- The bible (Mike and audience laughing) repeat that?
I thought we were done here.
- [Officiant] The bible gives us
a perfect example of His love.
- [Mike] The bible gives us a perfect example of His love,
in Christ that's for the church,
I shall try always, with God's help,
to show you this same kind of love.
- [Emily] I promise my faithfulness,
to follow through all of life's experience,
as you follow God, but together we may grow
in the likeness of Christ, and our home be a praise to Him.
- [Mike] I'm gonna be honest, I'm not too excited
knowing my eating habits are about to change drastically.
But I am excited to have my partner in crime
by my side every day, jammning out whenever
and wherever we go.
- [Emily] I am truly amazed by the man
God has designed you to be.
You impress me, love me, and lead me
and I can't believe I get to be your bride.
- Mike, you may kiss your bride.
(guests cheering)

Mr. and Mrs. Mike Finam.
(guests cheering and applauding)
- Mike!
