Auto news on Youtube Jan 27 2019

Varus is an ad carry that has engage tool on his ultimate.

There isn't a lot of ad carries that have engage tools: Varus, Ashe, Jhin.

Well, Jhin's W isn't really an engage tool, it is more like a follow up

for a situations when your team caught someone.

Basically if you want an ad carry that can start a fight by himself

here is Varus for you.

Varus has a strong lane phase, so if you need

an ad carry that can dominate early game

you've got a choice between Caitlyn and Varus.

He has a pretty good damage, so he can eventually turn into a hyper carry.

Of course he has lower hyper carry potential compared

to Kog'Maw or Twitch, but with new runes, in particular Lethal Tempo

and Guinsoo Rageblade he's got a lot of damage.

So, if your team needs an ad carry with strong lane phase and

initiation tools Varus is an ideal choice for you.

Difference in playing Varus in proplay and soloq.

Biggest difference is that in soloq you can use ultimate way more often than in proplay.

Because in soloq everyone plays in a way more arcade style, so you can use ultimate to get free kills.

In 5v5 you usually keep ultimate for concrete teamfight.

For example, if dragon spawns in one minute, it is better not to use your ultimate to get a kill and keep it for the drake fight instead.

There isn't any more real differences in soloq and 5v5, because champion serves the same functions:

he tries to win lane phase and uses his ultimate as an engage or disengage tool for the rest of the game.

What is the right way to play this champion in soloq?

Again, your main goal is to win lane, because Varus can win a lot of lanes

or at least he doesn't lose to a lot of lanes.

Skill order. If Varus has an allin support, like Alistar or Blitzcrank, then its better to skill Q until level 5 and from level 7 start to max W.

So, basically you level up Q three times, then max W, then you end maxing Q and then E.

This skill order is good, because Varus builds Guinsoo and you usually buy it around level seven, eight.

Also when you have stacked Guinsoo you apply W twice, so damage with W max will be bigger than with Q or E max.

Also there is no reason to max W straight away, because you need instant damage for trades and allins.

(Take a notice that this guide was made during time when Varus was building Guinsoo first, nowadays you usually build BotrK first.)

(With BotrK first it is better to max Q or E first and only then W. Your goal is to have W maxed around the time when you buy Guinsoo Rageblade.)

(Varus might come back to Guinsoo first, after 9.23 patch when Bloodline and Overheal will be buffed.)

If you have utility support like Sona, Lulu, Janna, so you trade with opponents rather than allin them,

then Varus level ups his E three times and then goes into W max. Q won't give you much in such lane

and E will be good, because you will constantly trade autos and then use E.

Again don't forget about BotrK thing I told you earlier.

So if your support plays allin champion like Leona, Blitcrank, Alistar you max Q, because

your support will use their crowd control onto opponents giving you time to auto attack and burst with Q.

If we will compare ability damages we will find that Q deals more damage in allin situations.

On the other hand if you have "classic" support that pokes opponents and buffs you then E is better,

because E has lower cooldown, gives slow and cuts healing. It will be easier to lane with E max.

In soloq it is important not to die in lane,

because if Varus dies early and gets behind it is very hard for him to comeback.

This is a champion that needs to have tempo advantage,

so if you will get behind there won't be many chances to get back into a game.

Varus isn't Twitch or Kog'Maw that will kill everyone no matter what when they will get their items.

Varus is more of a Caitlyn type of champion. His late game damage with Lethal Tempo is ok, but

if you will buy Guinsoo when opponents will already have three items it won't make much difference.

Itemization. (Keep in mind that this guide was made when Varus used to build Guinsoo Rageblade first item.)

(Nowadays he builds it second after BotrK. He might come back to Guinsoo first again with Bloodline buffs at 9.2.)

Optimal itemization is Guinsoo Rageblade first and then you need to choose items accordingly to the situation.

If there is a lot of AD damage against you, which happens a lot nowadays,

then you need to buy Ninja Tabi and either BotrK or Runaan's Hurricane.

If there are a lot of tanks against you: buy BotrK and only then Hurricane, if not - either way around.

If there are a lot of AP champions you should buy Wit's End after Guinsoo

and only then decide what you need first BotrK or Hurricane.

Your sixth item also can vary. If you need Armor Penetraton you should buy Last Whisper.

If Wit's End isn't enough in terms of magic resist then buy QSS, because Maw won't be that needed and QSS helps you with crowd control.

If you don't need all of this items and you just want to have damage - buy Infinty Edge.

This item will give you tons of damage.

Overall your sixth item is one of these: QSS, Last Whisper, Infinity.

In theory you will always have Hurricane, so with Infnity Edge you will have 60% crit damage

and since you will be always capped in terms of attack speed you will have a lot of auto attacks that did critical damage.

Laning phase. Varus has no real bad matchups,

but you should be a little bit scared of Xayah with Rakan,

because this combo is strong in any situations.

There are two good answers to this though.

First one is Varus with Alistar, because they have a kill potential. Also Alistar can heal a little bit and

he can disengage together with Varus very well.

Second answer to Xayah with Rakan is Morgana. Varus with Morgana lanes well for the same reasons as Alistar.

Other than that there isn't any really hard matchups.

Thresh with Kalista can be a bit tough though, but if you play with Alistar that understands how to play this matchup there won't any real problems.

To counter Thresh with Kalista you just need to focus Kalista all the time, then there won't be any problems.

All other lanes can be played pretty easy, because Varus is one those champions that are strong during lane phase.

What if there is a Thresh against you?

Well, honestly it is pretty hard to land hook as Thresh.

As a result last half of a year Thresh is trying to start a fight with Flay and only then follow up it with Hook.

So if Thresh is coming closer in order to use his E on you, just use your E on him.

This slows him and you, with your support, can start damaging him.

(I think here VincentVega was mostly talking about laning as Varus with ranged support).

Gameplay against Blitzcrank is a little bit different, because he Hooks from a big range, he doesn't come into a melee range like Thresh.

Your counterplay is stock standart against such champions. You should stand behind minions and try to avoid random Hooks.

What to do against Leona? It depends on what support is laning with you.

If you lane with Morgana, you can just walk towards Leona and attack her if she's standing in your auto attack range,

because if she will try to go on you, Morgana will use her shield on you and there won't be any problems.

If you lane with some kind of utility support that is not Morgana, like Sona or Nami,

then lane becomes a bit more tricky,

because Leona can just engage on you no matter what.

As a result it is hard to do something without your jungler, so you need to call him.

After 1-2 ganks there won't any big problems, because of the Leona's playstyle.

If she engaged on you, she doesn't have any way to retreat. If your jungler was during her engage

you just get a free kill.

Also against Leona it is useful to push lane hard early to get level two first.

This also works well against Thresh or Blitzcrank, because they are melee,

so their lane pushing ability is weak. It is not hard to outpush them.

If you got level two earlier than them, then you can just zone them from creeps.

Starting items. If you're against melee support usually you take Doran's Balde.

Excluding only lanes against Kalista and Twitch, against them you should take Doran's Shield.

This is the only two ad carries against which you should take Doran's Shield no matter what.

If you're against ranged supports like Karma, Lulu, Nami, which will harras you all the time, you should take Doran's Shield too.

In all other matchups, I mean against melee supports, just take Doran's Blade.

Doran's Shield also can be used against Caitlyn, because Caitlyn will be very agressive.

She's got a huge range, so she will constantly auto you, which will make Doran's Shield useful.

If you're against, for example, Jhin, Vayne, Sivir, Tristana, Zyra - take Doran's Blade.

Ah, by the way, lately people started to use Miss Fortune a lot, take Doran's Shield against her also.

New combo arrived: Jhin with MF support, both taking Comets and constantly poking you. Damage is insane.

Miss Fortune uses her E on you, Jhin instantly follows up this with his W (it is easier to land due to slow from MF's E) so you get rooted.

All of this forces to you to stand a whole duration of Miss Fortune's E, while taking two Comets in a face. This hurts a lot.

Power spikes. So, when Varus gets his power spikes? Well, when you buy Guinsoo Rageblade you get first mini power spike.

When you buy second item, especially if it's Wit's End, you are a pretty strong Varus.

From this moment you will become only stronger, but basically you're stronger than any ad carry on the two items.

For example, you have Guinsoo/Wit's End or Guinsoo/BotrK and there is a Tristana against you with Infinity, Statikk

(nowadays it is Stormrazor/Rapidfire, but after 9.3 patch probably will be Infinity/Rapidfire).

If you are the first to start a fight, for example, you use your ultimate on her and start attacking her - you will win 100%.

Especially if this is happening in a lane and you killed a minion before the fight to get bonus attack speed

and your Guinsoo Rageblade is already stacked up.

With this conditions met you just can't lose to any ad carry on a 2 items fight.

As a result you should focus on a getting Guinsoo as soon as possible, because with it you're getting a good power spike.

How to teamfight and where should you keep your attention during it? Well, it depends on a how teamfight got started.

If it is...

In soloq teamfight is starting in a two ways usually. First, it is you who's starting it with your ultimate.

You use your ultimate and your whole team is trying to burst down the target you ulted.

Usually such kind of teamfights are easy to win.

Second situation is when your team got engaged on.

You should just use ultimate as a disengage and start focusing a guy that you ulted.

Basically you just auto attack the closest target to you. For example, you got a tank in front of you and there is an ad carry behind him or midlaner.

It is not a good decision to try and get to the carries, just auto attack the tank. Varus is great against tanks with this auto attack speed build, because

he has hybrid damage and percent health damage. Since Varus has both magic and physical damage tanks are dying very fast.

Well-timed ability usage and ability combos. You should try to optimize your W as well as you can.

This means that you should use abilities only when you got three W stacks on someone.

For example, after you used your ult you can use your E right away,

but it is better to use your Q only after you did three auto attacks.

Because your ultimate has longer range than auto attack, often your combo looks like this: ultimate - E - three auto attacks - Q.

You can make 3 auto attacks before using your ultimate if you are able to do so. For example, if you are fighting during laning phase.

All in all your biggest damage combo is: 3 auto attacks - R - E - 3 auto attacks - W - Q.

Now, let's talk about ability usage during laning phase. This part is especially useful when you max E first.

You should trade in a very special way: your trade is 1-2 auto attacks followed by E, 1-2 auto attacks followed by E.

Key here is that you shouldn't make this trades long. Tricky part about Varus'es trades is that after he does his 1-2 auto - E all his damage is gone.

Often lower players get caught in a wrong mindset. After they do 1-2 auto - E combo, they see that they did a good damage and

this triggers them to go into all in fight, while in fact you already spent your damage and should back off.

Usually such trading patterns end up leading to you getting more damage from the opponent than you did to him.

Exception will be situations when you lane with Blitcrank, Leona or something like this, then yes - you can all in.

Also you should know that you can use R-Flash instead of Flash-R. R-Flash is way faster than Flash-R.

Some people are using Flash-R, even at Worlds, for example, Bang used Flash-R for some reasons.

Always keep in mind that Flash-R works.

Runes. (Keep in mind that this guide was made at the start of season 8, so runes on the screen are a bit off.

Overall everything is still the same, but I suggest you to check sites like probuilds.net and see what pros are using right now.)

In terms of runes you have two choices. Well in fact you got only one choice, but let's go over both viable ways.

Precision is your main tree. I prefer to use Lethal Tempo in like 99.9% of my games, because it has a lot of benefits.

What was the main problem of Varus with Guinsoo? First, it took a long time to get it stacked.

Second, often you were overcapped in terms of attack speed with this build, especially when your passive kicked in.

Lethal Tempo fixes both of those problems, because it lets you to stack Guinsoo very fast and also removes

attack speed cap, so you can auto attack with like 3-3.5 attack speed. So, I think Lethal Tempo gives way more

benefits than Press the Attack. Yes, PtA gives your some burst damage and amplifies your team's damage, but I think Lethal Tempo bonuses are way better.

I prefer using Triumph, because Overheal isn;'t as good, because usually you have only BotrK as your lifesteal item, sometimes QSS.

I find Triumph way more interesting, especially in the current meta, because it can save you a lot.

For example, imagine Zed is engaging onto you and you kill him right before his Mark explodes, so you get health back and survive.

I took attack speed before, but nowadays I prefer using Bloodline, because there are some games where you take BotrK only as your third item.

You are buying your Guinsoo, opponents have a lot of mages, so you are buing Wit's End second, so you're forced to buy BotrK as your third item, if not even fourth.

You have a lot of attack speed anyway, because all of your items give you attack speed, while lifesteal is a hard stat to get.

So this mastery with 12% lifesteal helps a lot. You take Doran's Blade with 3% lifesteal,

this mastery with 12% lifesteal and you get 15% lifesteal which is a pretty nice amount.

You've got two choices as your last rune in this tree. It is either Coup de Grace or Cut Down.

Everyone has own opinion on this choice. If you are against at least two tanks, for example,

there is an Alistar/Tahm Kench/Braum against you in the botlane and ChoGath at toplane, then Cut Down is a better choice.

If you are against squishy setup, then it's better to use Coup de Grace.

You've got two choices as your second tree. I don't like Domination on Varus at all, I think it doesn't give you anything.

You can take Sorcery as your second tree. (Again, keep in mind that this guide was made some time ago.)

(Right now viable choices for Sorcery are: Manaflow Band for more harras, Absolute Focus, Gathering Storm for better scaling or Scorch for more damage in lane.)

(If you liked using Absolute Hat back in a days, you can use Domination as your second tree with Ultimate Hunter.)

(Cool combo that significantly lowers your ultimate cooldown is Presence of Mind with Ultimate Hunter.)

(Also you can use Taste of Blood for more sustain during laning phase, Cheap Shot for more damage on your E/R and BotrK active, or Eyeball Collection for more AD.)

(Additional wards are also fine.)

Another viable choice as your second tree is Resolve.

(Here you can use Demolish for easier tower plating taking, Second Wind combined with Doran's Shield is good for sustaining though poke,)

(Bone Plating is a great defensive rune in any situation, Overgrowth might be viable.)

(Revitalize has a nice synergy with new buffed Overheal and BotrK healing.)

Inspiration isn't very good for attack speed Varus.

Free boots aren't as good as you think, because they delay your boots for a significant amount of time.

AD carries rely on their boots a lot in terms of stats that they aquire though it.

For example, Berserker's Greaves attack speed is basically at Runaan's Hurricane level and sometimes you need early Ninja Tabis.

Resume. Varus is a pretty straight forward champion.

You need to focus on using your poke potential though 1-2 autos-E during laning phase.

You shouldn't be scared of taking duels after you get Guinsoo, especially against other ad carries, especially if you bought Ninja Tabi's.

It is unlikely that you will lose duel to any ad carry, except for, maybe, Vayne, but again if it was you who engaged you shouldn't lose it.

That's all folks! Please, subscribe and like! Cya!

Quick Start Guide to C# - for Loop - Duration: 10:55.

Welcome

This is Pirzada Rashid here

This video is about for loop in C#.

Before you start

I want you to open up this URL

Whatever code examples, I use in this video are written step by step here

Code examples have a link to quickly test it

and see the results in an online editor without writing a single word

I will also leave all the links at the end and in the description of this video

Let's get started

for loop executes a block of code repeatedly until the condition is false

Actually, this type of loop is useful when the number of loop iterations is fixed

or you can say predetermined

and the counter variable that determines the iterations is needed in the loop

like how many times the loop executed

Now, this is the basic structure of a loop

Please pay attention

for loop starts with the for keyword

followed by 3 expressions

separated by semicolons ";"

within these parentheses

The first parameter declares and initializes a counter variable before the loop executes

and is always evaluated once at the start

It's called initializer

The second parameter is a condition

(a Boolean expression) that returns true or false

and is evaluated before each new iteration of the loop

This must be true in order for the next iteration to be performed

The iterations end when the condition is false

The third parameter is an iterator

which prepares the loop for next iteration

This is incremented after each iteration at the bottom of the loop

Statements are the block of code that you want to execute multiple times in a loop

Let me show you the execution order of a Loop

First of all

variable declared and assigned initial value at this stage

then the condition is checked

If it's true

the body will execute

Here, variable value is incremented

This whole process repeats again except number 1

because variable is initialized only once at the beginning

Loop ends when number 2 returns false

This is the structure of a nested for loop.

A loop within another loop is a nested loop

The innermost loop executes more times than the outermost

There is no limitation on the number of loops into each other

That means you can combine different types of loops in your program

I am using this online editor for the demo.

Let me quickly code for loop than I explain it to you

This loop writes out all the integers from 0 to 4

Well, this loop consists of 3 expressions

One

Two

and three

This is the initialization part

When the loop begins

C# initializes the counter variable i with the int type

and assigns an initial value of 1

A Boolean condition

i less then equal to 4

which returns true or false

will repeatedly execute until the counter, which is this

is less than or equal to 4

This is expression for updating the counter

which adds 1 at the end of each repetition of the loop

This increases the counter variable by 1

Click RUN

See the output here

If you have more than one statement within the loop

you must enclose the statements in opening and closing braces like this

break keyword exit a loop prematurely, before it has completed the execution

The loop's body is skipped

and the control is passed to the first expression immediately following the loop

Let me show you

Click RUN

Notice that the loop ends prematurely at break statement when the counter reaches 3

and this condition becomes 3 equal to 3, which evaluates to true

Without the break keyword, the loop should run from 1 to 4

This break keyword then causes the loop to exit

and resumes execution immediately after the loop

You can see the result here

Skipped the value 3 and 4

Another commonly used jump statement is the continue keyword

When the loop hits continue

the rest of the current iteration is skipped

and immediately initiates the execution of the next iteration

Let's change this with continue keyword

Click RUN

First, we initialized the counter variable to run from 1 to 4

When the counter reaches 3

this condition evaluates to true because 3 equal to 3

This causes for loop to skip rest of the current iteration and initiates the execution of the next iteration

You can see the result here

Number 3 skipped

Let's see

how nested loops look like

Let me explain it to you

After initialization of the first for loop

the execution of its body will start

which contains the second for loop

Here, initialization of first for loop means

i variable is initialized with the value 1

and then i less then equal to 4 condition is checked, meaning 1 less then equal to 4

This expression is true

as you can see 1 is less than 4

Now, the inner loop variable will be initialized meaning j is initialized to 1

condition will be checked which is j less then equal to 2 meaning 1 less than equal to 2

and then the code within its body will be executed

then the j variable will be updated

and execution will continue until the condition returns false

That means, when j is equal to 3

After that

the second iteration of the first for loop will continue

its variable will be updated

now i will be 2

and the whole second loop will be performed once again

This inner loop will fully execute as many times as the body of the outer loop

Meaning with each iteration of outer loop

the inner loop iterates 2 times

Because of this value

If I change it to 3

then the inner loop iterates 3 times

This statement

will print out the value of i and j

i is the variable of outer loop

and j is the variable of inner loop

Click RUN

This is the value of i

and this one is j

Whenever you don't provide a condition to the loop

it automatically becomes an infinite loop

meaning the loop block executes endlessly

Use the double semicolon (;;) in the for loop

to make it run infinite times

Let me show you how

This loop will run infinite times

Unfortunately

this editor don't allow infinite looping

so try to use Visual Studio Code

or another editor.

Ok, let me try VSCode

Remember, to stop the infinite loop

press CTRL + C on the keyboard

Why You Should Avoid Airplane Coffee || Thrillist Travel Guide - Duration: 4:01.

- There's actually a very good reason

why you should be swapping out your cup of airplane coffee

with an in-flight Bloody Mary.

Your health might just depend on it.

What's up internet,

my name is Wil Fulton, and this is "Thrillist Travel Guide,"

where we basically cover everything you need to know

on how to be a better traveler.

From the best places to visit next month,

to how to pack your suitcase with military precision

and efficiency.

Today, we'll be talking about an airplane trope

that's been prevalent perhaps since the Wright brothers

brought a bologna sandwich aboard their maiden flight.

Just kidding, that didn't happen, probably.

Airline food.

Obviously, making fun of airplane food is a comedy cliche

as well-worn as "pull my finger,"

and admittedly, it's often just as (beep).

- What do ya think this is?

- About seven hours ago, that was lasagna.

- But things have improved overall!

Airplanes like Air France have sourced chefs from

Michelin-starred restaurants to help curate their menus.

And Delta has brought on James Beard-winning chefs

to revamp their in-flight dining, for example.

The situation is getting better, people!

Still, eating food served at 30,000 feet can be a dicey

game to play with your gastro-intestinal tract.

But, assuredly, a simple cup of coffee should be OK,

and safe, and fine, right?

Surely you have nothing to worry about here?

Well, hold up there passengers.

Direct your eyes to the front of your screen,

put your tray table up, and listen to me.

You should definitely think twice about drinking

coffee on your next flight.

As recently reported in a Thrillist travel feature,

which you can check out on our website, duh,

drinking coffee on an airplane might not just be unsavory,

it might be unhealthy too.

You probably know this, but it's best to not drink

tap water from airplanes.

In 2012, the EPA discovered about 12% of US

commercial planes are contaminated by bacteria.

Specifically coliform, an indicator of E. Coli.

Yikes.

And, since airplane coffee's made with airplane tap water,

well, you can draw your own conclusions here.

But, in positive news, over the past half-decade,

the EPA has instituted the aircraft drinking water rule,

which requires routine disinfection and flushing

of a plane's water system, and personnel training,

and regular sampling of the water,

and some other stuff that should lower these dangerously

high numbers.

So really, it's your call in regards to safety.

However, even if airplane coffee might not make you ill,

it definitely doesn't taste ideal.

- Tastes like (beep).

- First off, it's drip coffee, and,

on longer flights, a pot of coffee can sit stewing

for an extended amount of time.

This equals some pretty (beep) coffee.

And when you experience in-flight air pressure and humidity,

your senses are a little skewed,

meaning, your perception of sweet and salt

is highly reduced.

You're losing a lot of your sense of flavor and smell,

so, any cup of coffee will taste a little off,

let alone a cheaply made cup of drip that's been

sitting out for hours.

And this isn't the only problem.

You can't boil coffee at 212 degrees

while you're in the air,

which means you can't kill any bacteria

that might be present, to allude to those other points,

and the full flavor of the roast just won't come out

of your brew.

Look, we're really not being coffee snobs here.

These are objective problems all coffee brewed on airplanes

might suffer from.

But there is hope for the thirsty and weary traveler.

The Thrillist piece we've been referencing

reports that United Airlines, for example,

recently partnered with Illy North America

for all their coffee needs.

Together, they've totally revamped the on-board

coffee system,

changing everything from the beans themselves,

to the brewing process, to using better filtered water

throughout the brewing process,

for a more consistent, better-tasting product.

Basically, airlines are taking note of the issues here,

and are trying their best to brew you a safe,

and delicious, cup of coffee for your next flight.

My advice?

Snag a cup of joe in the airport before you get

on your flight, and opt for an in-flight Bloody Mary instead.

It might not wake you up as well,

but I can almost guarantee you that it will

make you feel better.

At least, it would make me feel better.

Uzbekistan - Why You Should Visit Now & Tashkent Travel Guide - Duration: 15:16.

You're watching Vagabrothers,

and this is Uzbekistan.

Backwards, post- Soviet Republic,

home of Borat, the middle of nowhere.

Yeah, it's all of those things, but it's also a lot more.

I'm Marko. I'm Alex.

You're watching Vagabrothers,

and this is Uzbekistan.

For millennia Central Asia has been at the center of the world, a crossroads of civilizations.

And Uzbekitan is home to the legendary cities of the Silk Road, the ancient trade network that connected the

Mediterranean with the riches of Asia, making the middlemen wealthy enough to build cities like these.

From Samarkand to Bukhara, Tashkent to Khiva,

this land beckoned conquerors from Alexander the Great to Genghis Khan,

explorers from Marco Polo to even Battuta and countless merchants

from Britain to Beijing who wove East and West closer together through roads of silk.

I'm excited for this series because I've always been super interested in the history of globalization....

how trade, technologies, and conquest turned humanity from a bunch of isolated pockets

into the global world we live in today.

And nowhere is more central to that story than here.

From the time of Alexander the Great to the spread of Islam and the Mongol invasions that came later,

this place has made and broken many empires.

I'm super excited to follow in the footsteps of these great conquerors and

understand why this place was so crucial.

Right now is the perfect time to visit Uzbekistan.

The country was largely closed off to

foreigners since the end of the Cold War,

but with a new president there've been tons of reforms.

Visas are easier to get, and this place is going to be very popular with tourists very soon,

but still an undiscovered gem.

We're about to go on a trip to discover the best of Uzbekistan:

vibrant markets, stunning scenery, and

reminders of the spectacular rise and shocking fall of civilizations.

Forget what you think you know about the "stans."

You're watching Vagabrothers, and this is Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan

Welcome to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.

And Toto, we are far away from Kansas.

Quite literally on the opposite side of planet from our home in Los Angeles.

It's been a long journey to get here.

We have an awesome itinerary lined up.

This is going to be an epic vlog series,

and we are super stoked to be in Uzbekistan.

Don't know much about the "stans."

Have not really been out to this part of the world before,

but I personally am a super excited about the Silk Road.

I love the story of how East and West came together,

and few places in the world are

associated with that story as the ancient cities of here in Uzbekistan.

I'm excited to eat. The food here is incredible.

I've had Uzbekistan cuisine before, and it's delicious.

Apart from that, like Mark said, this is a super unique corner of the world.

It's where empires have been made and destroyed.

And I can't wait to get out of Tashkent

and into the rest of Uzbekistan because we have a pretty wild itinerary,

not to mention that our ancestral namesakes came through here.

Alexander the Great, Marco Polo.

So we've got some footsteps of great people to trace,

and I think that we should start with some lunch.

How about that?

Let's go

First day here in Tashkent. This is the capital.

It's not the oldest or most historic city in Uzbekistan.

And a lot of it was destroyed in the 60s during an earthquake,

but this is the main square.

Here we have the statue of Ahmir Temur.

He is kind of like the Genghis Khan of Uzbekistan.

Behind us we have the Hotel Uzbekistan,

which was like the main place to stay during Soviet times.

According to legend every room in the Hotel Uzbekistan was bugged back in the day

because that's just the way the Soviet Union was in those times.

There's a lot of changes happening in Uzbekistan.

For example, there used to be a statue of Karl Marx right there.

He was swapped out for the statue of Amir Temur.

Temur was basically the Genghis Khan of Uzbekistan

and is part of the national identity they are forming in this relatively new country.

Alright ladies and gents right now we are at the Cosmonaut Station.

We're in the metro, and interesting little fact... a little historical fact,

this was actually closed to photography and videography until only three months ago.

It's been closed to photography for over 40 years for a very interesting reason.

But let's hop on a train, and we'll tell you why.

It's definitely funny being like the only tourist in the entire city of Tashkent

because that's how I feel right now, but especially being on the metro.

We're the only people who are not from here who are on here.

So it's kind of fun.

Just embracing that and just smiling at people.

Tashkent's underground is beautiful,

but photography was banned for decades because

during the Cold War this was built as a bomb shelter because nuclear warfare was never far away.

It was also a very strategic military installation.

So that makes us the first people to film this and put it on YouTube ever!

As we know the reason that this place is called the Cosmonaut Station is

Uzbekistan and the "stans" in general were the home to the Russian or Soviet space program.

There were lots of cosmonauts, which were the Soviet version of an astronaut.

And the best news is there's plenty of stations.

This is only one, and we have more to explore.

We've just arrived to the station Alisher Navoi,

and he was like the William Shakespeare of Uzbek language,

but this is probably one of the most beautiful metro stations I've ever seen.

I've heard about the metro stations in St. Petersburg being very, very beautiful,

but this is the closest that I've gotten there.

but I just love the Islamic architecture, the domes, all of the lines.

If you're into photography, if you're into symmetry and the rule of thirds,

you can have a lot of fun here.

And I think it kind of represents how this is a new country,

and in the 1970s during the Soviet times

they were really trying to build a sense of national identity by combining the grandiose Soviet architecture with

historical figures from the past, whether that be like in the Cosmonaut Station

there were the ancient medieval Islamic astronomers with Soviet astronauts.

Here you have Islamic architecture, a writer.

And then there's also one down the street, which is all cotton theme, which is one the major exports here in Uzbekistan.

Well, we have arrived to the Islamabad center of ploof.

Ploof is like pilaf. It's a rice and meat dish for fruits and nuts.

Behind us is 440 kilograms, nearly a thousand pounds of rice, beef, and mutton and it smells so good.

This dish you see cross Central Asia, everywhere from Persia all the way to India.

But here in Uzbekistan, it's a really special treat.

They serve it on special occasions. This place opens only for lunch.

They serve up a thousand pounds of this stuff and when it's gone, it's gone.

So you got to get it while the getting's good, and it smells delicious.

So enough talking. Time to eat.

The food has arrived. We have this excellent bread with this yogurt, which is great for helping with digestion.

But the main course right here is the ploof.

It's got lamb meat on top, horse sausage, quail,

yellow carrots, chickpeas, raisins,

and awesome waitresses.

So it's time to dig in.

It's not every day that you eat a horse sausage,

but you know when in Rome....

and this is certainly the way they do things here.

Ploof or pilaf is one of those dishes that is cross-border.

Many different nationalities kind of claim it as their own, but the reality is

that it's a dish from this region, from Central Asia,

and it's spread to other parts of the world from here.

There're two different creation myths for pilaf.

One is that Aristotle, the teacher of Alexander the Great,

told Alexander that if he used these specific proportions of meat, rice,

vegetables, and fruit, he could keep his soldiers full all day,

therefore removing the necessity to stop and feed them throughout the day,

allowing his army to move further, faster.

The second is that Avi Senna, who is a tenth century polymath

scholar and considered the father of modern medicine, created the dish.

So there're two different creation myths.

Either way you look at it, there's one takeaway...

that it's absolutely delicious,

and at this restaurant they do it very, very well.

Okay, so we popped off the metro at Chorsu Bazaar.

This is the oldest bazaar in the city.

It's from 880 AD, so it's over 1,200 years old.

And as we said, a lot of these cities were trading cities from the dawn of civilization.

We're going to take a look around the market, see what's for sale, and build up our appetite.

Just step inside of the market, which is housed in this giant penageodesic dome.

Smells like meat in here. This is the meat market.

It's quite literally a meat market, but there's all sorts of stuff.

There're pickled vegetables. There're sausages.

There's crazy meat cuts.

People are kind of like yelling in that quintessential market voice, you know,

that's like trying to get your attention to come and buy something, but it's cool.

It's definitely different.

It's a new corner of the world, different style of food.

It smells like vinegar and meat in here.

California.

California, yeah.

Uzbekistan? Yeah.

Okay, so here in Central Asia, there's a lot of milk dishes,

and they become cheeses or almost yogurts,

but then there's various forms.

It's kind of a wine; you have the little new one, the aged one.

This is the super aged, so there's no liquid left.

This is like a cheese ball.

Whoa, very sour acquired taste, but probably going to be good for digestion.

I've never seen so many different types of nuts and fruits on display ever, anywhere.

But this is an almond. Let's try it out

Umm, very good.

There's so many colorful fruits and vegetables on display, and this is very vibrant...

people speaking different languages that I've never heard before and

this is one of the reasons why travel is just so fulfilling and enlightening because it really just takes you out of

what you know and puts you into something that you've never experienced before.

We've made our way into a bakery, and we're surrounded by bakers.

It's really cool. They're making the traditional bread here in Uzbekistan, which is pretty simple.

It's almost like a bagel and then they top it with sesame, and they cook it in these big ovens behind us. It's crazy.

There's like bread stuck up against the wall, but very cool experience.

What a first day!

Finishing up here in the old town of Tashkent.

And I think that these old buildings behind us is a flavor of what's to come,

but we had a really great introduction.

Some good food. Lots of flavor.

Yeah, and the metro was insane.

I think that we're in for a treat here with architecture, with astronomy,

and with just diving deep into the unknown.

This is a part of the world that's fascinating. We've read a lot about it.

Both of us just finished reading this thousand-page book called the Silk Roads.

Yeah, I'm really excited.

I think that we have a lot of cool unexpected experiences coming our way,

and I can't wait to get further into it.

Tomorrow we're heading to Samarkand.

This is the jewel of the Silk Road

UNESCO World Heritage City for being the crossroads of culture.

If you like this video give it a thumbs- up,

subscribe to Vagabrothers,

and share this video with your travel buddies.

Tell everyone to come with you to Uzbekistan and share these videos.

Stick around for the rest the series. Don't go anywhere.

There's a lot more videos coming at you.

And as always stay curious, keep exploring,

and we'll see you on the road....the Silk Road.

Black Desert ► Updated PVX Class Guide for Beginners (2019) - Duration: 21:59.

Hey guys Anders here with the much awaited 2019 updated class guide.

It's been a while since I've made one of these, but it's about time I get to it and with it

we have to go over a couple of things since this is a guide geared towards newer players,

though I know some of you veteran players like to watch as well.

Black Desert has 17 classes to choose from as of the date of this video, with surely

more to come in the future, this means it's going to be hard for me to give you the in

depth analysis compared to someone who has been playing a single class since the start

of the game can give you.

I am one of those players that likes to play everything, which leads me to be master in

nothing.

Kind of like real life.

So with that said all of these statements are of course from my perspective and are

my opinion and I urge to seek out your class discords and veteran players who have been

playing your class of choice for a long long time.

The pitfall many newer players fall in is trying to play every class from the beginning

and then being led by what is the stronger class at that given time.

The meta will not matter to you because by the time you as a new player reach the gear

level required to competitively PVP the meta will have shifted and you may be stuck with

a class that wasn't as strong as you wanted it to be.

That is why I say try the classes out, after this guide see what appeals to you, check

out the addendum to this video, which is the CLass Trailers video I posted a little while

back and see how you enjoy the class.

For newer players the class dynamic will change greatly once you hit level 56 and then at

60 so it's a good idea to at least level a class you are interested in to level 56 Awaken

it, which means do a questline to obtain that classes second weapon and then decide if you

like the class or not.

All classes in the game are gender locked so keep that in mind when making your decisions.

I am including some brief skill demonstrations in this video to give you a flavor of what

each class can do, but they are basic, so keep that in mind.

Highly skilled players make some classes look insane so seek those out if you are interested.

With that long but necessary intro lets get into the rating system which I was honestly

not going to go with a rating system this time around, but its a good gauge that will

give you an idea of how a class performance in different situations.

1v1 situations mainly mean dueling or open world combat.

PVP large scale means how the class does in guild wars, pve clear just means how quickly

a class kill monsters which, I'll say this now, will depend on the grind location you

choose.

Some classes are better at different locations depending on the monster density so this rating

is an average, a class can be better or worse than I rate.

I just give an average rating.

Keep that in mind.

And finally we have skill ceiling.

So the higher the rating the more room you have to improve and learn.

A high rating means the class is usually quite difficult to master.

Some high skill ceiling classes can be great and rewarding to play, but it is sometimes

the case where a less difficult class will still beat you at equal levels simply because

your class matchup is unfavored.

Okay so those are the ratings and explanations out of the way.

i expect there will still be those who complain, so comment section is down there and if you

are a veteran player of a class and you hopefully aren't offended, but if you are tell us why

you think a class deserves a higher rating, but keep in mind I've tried to compare all

the classes together so I've attempted to be as fair as possible.

First up.

Warrior.

Classic class.

Male.

Uses a Longsword and a Shield and has a Greatsword as it's Awakening weapon, which is it's second

weapon.

Warrior is very good in 1v1 situations.

It used to be a lot more tanky before it received some nerfs, but it's received a few buffs

recently that are putting warrior back on track to becoming a fairly decent class.

Not as popular these days, but one of the OG classes.

I like to call it the always dependable class and one of the classes with really good performance

all around.

It's PVE clear used to be one of the worst, but nowadays every class clears okay and there

are many different spots and different gear levels you can grind in to find one that suits

your style of play.

It's not the fastest grinder, but it's much better than it used to be.

Warrior has a high skill ceiling meaning once you master this class you will be able to

obtain some incredible mobility and pretty deadly burst.

It's currently outshined by some other classes that do the tanky role better these days,

but it is by no means unable at least try to play that role.

Next up we have Valkyrie, Female.

A Paladin-esque class that uses a Longsword and Shield and has a Lancia as it's Awakening

weapon.

Valkyrie is very good in 1v1 situations, but requires mastery of the class to do well in

pretty much all facets of play.

PVE clear is mediocre, but she gets better the more gear you have and they're able to

use some support utility skills that can affect your team members making her always nice to

have in large scale pvp.

Her heals aren't amazing, but they are still utility.

Her defensive capability is quite strong, but really where she shines is in her incredible

burst potential.

Skill ceiling isn't as high as Warrior, though it still takes a lot to master the class and

once you do you will be feared by anyone you deem unworthy.

A good Valkyrie is like a comet when you see them fight, it's kind of scary.

They've been outshined by other classes that don't need as much effort let's just say to

play well, but recently she received some buffs that have put Valkyrie in the direction

of being something to look at seriously when choosing a class to dedicate your time to.

Next up we have Berserker.

Male.

Giant race class that uses Axes and an Ornamental Knot and a Iron Buster for it's Awakening.

Berserkers are the typical high health high damage hybrid tank esque class of Black Desert,

but they require a lot of practice to do well in PVP situations.

They are okay on 1v1 duels and average in large scale, though because of your high health

and ranged CC you can become a sort of DP Berserker that Crowd Controls enemies and

then sets up your teammates to get kills.

It's not practical and it really only works in smaller pvp situations like 3v3 duels,

but a good Berserker is a scary class.

Just because they have high health though, doesn't really mean they have inherently strong

defenses.

They're mobility at high skill levels are insane and they're PVE clear is incredibly

good overall.

Berserker has many grabs and limited range through it's Awakening, but it's a class I'd

say is really fun to learn and play at higher levels.Warrior, Valkyrie, and Berserker kind

of make up the tank role if you were to look at a trinity like MMO, but they don't end

up playing that way because Black Desert is just a different game with no roles really.

Ironically the mages who are usually squishy make for some pretty good tanks in certain

situations.

Wizard and Witch.

Let's start with Wizard.

Male.

Uses a Staff and Dagger and then Godr Sphera for it's Awakening.

Wizards and Witches play identically before getting their second awakening.

You can cast fire, ice, lighting storms.

Chain lightning, heals, resurrect, but most importantly they can cast a skill called Protected

Area which makes them the most sought after guild wars class in the game.

That skill amplifies your allies defenses by an obscene amount of a short amount of

time which allows for pushes into enemy bases.

In it's Awakening the Wizard uses Fire and Water elemental abilities and can summon an

elemental pet, fire for melee.

And water for ranged.

The Wizard also has a lot of protected skills which means it is difficult to Crowd Control

a Wizard, and his large AOE abilities make grinding with wizard quite easy.

He does struggle a bit at higher grind zones, but overall he's one of the best grinders

and absolutely a great class for newer players.

He's downside is his complete failure at dueling.

You can be successful in smaller 1v1 fights, but the odds are greatly against you simply

because Wizard and this go for Witch as well skills keep you rooted so it is very easy

to grab and combo a Wizard and Witch.

Despite them probably being the worst 1v1 classes in the game, they do make up for being

one of the best PVE clearers and Guild War classes.

Witch.

Female.

Also uses a Staff and Dagger.

But uses an Aad Sphera for her Awakening.

She commands Earth and Lightning in her Awakening and is able to summon an Earth elemental for

melee.

And a Lightning elemental for ranged.

I should note that both Witch and Wizard have skills that allow them to aggro over the mob

limit so you can kill more monsters at a time.

The Witch has a block that increases her resistances and her skills have slightly more ranges then

Wizard.

Wizard I forgot to mention has a grab instead of the block.

very slow grab, and not very reliable.

Because Witch and Wizard have the same pre-awakening skills they can both use Protected Area which

makes Witch very sought after in Guilds for Guild Wars.

PVE clear is very good as well, with struggling a bit in high end zones, but again one of

the best clearers in PVE and one fo the best classes in Guild Wars.

Both Witch and Wizard are not terribly difficult to learn, so they make for common choices

for newer players.

Witch and Wizard can become Defensive heavy with gear and Witch specifically can be an

annoying Crowd Control style class in smaller PVP that can absolutely do some damage even

at lower Attack values.

Next up we have the Sorceress, Female.

Uses an Amulet and a Talisman.

And uses a Scythe for her Awakening.

Sorceress is a mobile dark magic user with decent 1v1 potential thanks to having a lot

of iframes, or invincibility frames.

She isn't as useful in larger scale battles, but her ultimate black hole ability is still

very useful in group fights.

She's been nerfed over time, so she's not as good as she used to be.

Couple that with the fact that this class takes a lot of time to master and play well,

she becomes one of the most technical classes in the game.

She has good potential and is quite good at grinding, even at high end areas.

Solid class overall, but I wouldn't say it is a new player friendly class since you need

to practice a lot and then you need quite a bit of gear to compete at high levels.

When played well, though she's pretty much unstoppable.

Next up we have Dark Knight, Female.

Elven race.

Uses a Kriegsmesser and an Ornamental Knot for her weapons and a Vediant for her Awakening.

Vediant is a magical glove that summon different sword shapes.

Kriegsmesser is like a very long dagger.

Dark Knight used to be the best class in the game hands down, but has since been nerfed

multiple times to now being in one of the weakest classes.

That is not to say it's a terrible class.

Dark Knight now requires a bit more resource management, which adds to it's limitations

and requires a certain mastery of the class to do well in PVP situations.

It's fairly squishy class with decent mid range AOE.

It's mobility has recently been nerfed so she's lost some mobility, but is by no means

slow.

Her PVE clear is still very good, even at high end areas and is a fairly simple class

to learn if you are starting out.

Dark Knight overalls is a shadow of it's former oppressive self when it released over a year

ago now, but it's still an okay class if you enjoy the playstyle and put the time and gear

into it.

Next up we have Tamer.

Female.

The Loli class I guess you would call it, though you can customize a Tamer to be less

childlike if you for some reason have a problem lolis.

She uses a Shortsword and a Trinket for her Weapons.

And the Celestial Bo Staff for her Awakening.

Tamer is able to summon Heilang, a mystical wolf pet that she can ride on, unlike the

Witch and Wizard pets.

Heilang does a random Crowd Control when you order it to attack.

That plus Tamer having one of the quickest grabs in the game and incredible burst make

her very deadly in 1v1 situations.

She is still very squishy and very difficult to master.

So one mistake and you are pretty much dead unless your opponent messes up or something.

Her PVE clear is quite good at all areas of the game since she is quite mobile and has

good resource management.

Like I said she is extremely difficult to learn and master and is not great at all in

larger scale fights, so you'll find yourself unable to really help.

I guess it's worth mentioning she does have a little bit of a party utility buff, but

it's nothing really to depend on.

She's a good class overall with it's obvious shortcomings, but we recent buffs she should

be getting a little bit better moving forward.

Tamer makes it the last of the Magic Damage users.

Those are Witch, Wizard, Sorceress, Dark Knight, and Tamer.

THey all deal Magic Damage in their attacks, even if they use melee it will be considered

Magic Damage.

What this means is the next two classes will be resistant to a portion of that damage since

Striker and Mystic have inherent Magical Defenses.

Let's start with Striker.

Released was underpowered at the time.

Male class.

Uses a Gauntlet and a Vambrace as his weapons.

And a Gardbrace as his Awakening weapon.

Tanky thanks to it's magical defenses, but didn't really put out a lot of damage when

it first came out.

Nowadays though they have great burst and very good mobility.

They're uniqueness comes from being able to summon multiple clones or stands if you will

through certain skills that deal damage alongside you.

They're PVE clear is very good, though because of their awkward mobility it can be cumbersome

to grind in certain areas of the game, so he is limited in that capacity.

1v1 he is quite strong if played well.

And in large scale fights he has great AOE and can withstand a bit more than usual thanks

to those magic resistances.

Wouldn't say he's hard to play, so he does make for a newer player friendly class.

As for Mystic.

Female.

Also uses Gauntlets and Vambrace for her weapons and a Cestus for her Awakening.

Her signature trait is the ability to summon a water spirit dragon that does damage alongside

her with certain skills.

Tanky thanks to her magical resistances.

Really good defensive skills.

Quite mobile.

Really resource recovery.

Her damage isn't as high as a Striker, but her superior Crowd Control abilities make

up for that.

She's able to built like a Crowd Control bot with super high defenses low attack, but able

to attempt to Crowd COntrol enemies while your teammates take them out.

Her PVE clear is one of the best, if not the best currently in most areas of the game.

She's a bit harder to play than Striker, but I wouldn't say she was extremely difficult

to master.

Does take time, don't get me wrong but more often than not you should be favored in most

matchups.

If you want an answer to what is the strongest class in the game overall.

It would be Mystic.

Some classes do better in some areas, but Mystic does everything fairly well without

requiring you to play for a long long time to master.

Next up we have Musa.

Male.

Uses a Blade and a Horn Bow for his weapons.

And a Crescent Blade for his Awakening.

Musa is extremely mobile with large AOE abilities making him quite deadly at high gear levels.

His PVE clear one of the best in the game.

He's just fast and with large AOE abilities is able to dash from one pack to another killing

them with one skill quite easily.

He even does quite well at high end grinding areas with enough attack value.

This makes him pretty decent in large scale battles as a strong Musa can mow the lawn

so to speak, mow down weaker players with one skill essentially.

Pretty cool to see to be honest.

1v1 is a bit tougher and requires quite a bit of practice and a level of mastery before

you can start doing well.

His Horn Bow is mostly a PVP tool, so don't expect too much range just because he has

a secondary weapon that is a bow.

And overall, I'd say he's quite good, quite fun, certainly a good class to pick if you're

new.

Next up we have Maehwa, Female counterpart to Musa.

Uses a Blade and Horn Bow for her weapons.

And a Kerispear for her Awakening.

Maehwa is also extremely mobile with conal AOE abilities.

Her PVE clear isn't as great as Musa's, but still quite good.

Her mobility helps a lot with that.

It will just depend on where you are grinding since larger packs are slightly harder to

hit with her conal aoe abilities.

She has quite a bit of Crowd Control and is decent at 1v1 situations, though as of late

she's in need of some buffs to put her 4 stars.

I believe those buffs are coming quite soon which is why I'm keeping her 4 stars for 1v1

situations, though keep in mind she takes a lot of mastery to do well in pvp so it is

certainly a skill reliant class if you have the gear.

In larger fights she struggles a bit since she's a bit squishy.

She's a good class overall and is fun like the Musa, but you'll struggle if you come

in with little knowledge about the game, so I wouldn't call her new player friendly.

Next up we have the Ninja and Kunoichi.

These are the assassin style classes you may be familiar with from other MMOs.

Ninja and Kunoichi both use Short Swords and Kunai and Shuriken for their secondary weapon.

Both classes can use either Kunai or SHuriken, though abilities for Ninja are tied to the

SHuriken and abilities for the Kunoichi are tied to the Kunai which is why you should

use the appropriate ones for you class.

We'll start with Ninja.

Ninja uses a Sura Katana for his Awakening.

Multiple katanas that he is able to use in his Awakening skills.

He is mobile in short distances and has some pretty good combo damage.

He is very difficult to learn and master, but one of, if not, the most flashy looking

classes in the game.

They were recently nerfed a bit since they were unable to be countered in some instances,

so Ninjas are still one of the best 1v1 classes in the game.

Their grind speed will be dependant on where you grind, butis overall middle of the road.

Ninjas aren't extremely useful in larger guild war fights, but they're forte is 1v1 fighting

and open world pvp.

Kunoichi is very similar they share the same abilities pre-awakening.

but Kunoichi, being the female counterpart to Ninja, uses a Sah Chakram instead as her

Awakening weapon.

This gives her slightly better PVE clear, but overall is in a similar state to Ninja.

Both Ninja and Kunoichi are able to go invisible and can get the jump on you in an open world

scenario, making them favored as a classic assassin style evil karma character.

Kunoichi has superior Crowd Control abilities to the Ninja. is difficult to learn and master

and is one of the better 1v1 classes in the game.

Guild Wars wise she struggles a bit, but can be somewhat useful as a Crowd Control bot

if you are practiced enough.

These two classes are not very beginner friendly, and Ninja is the more popular choice over

Kunoichi, who is one of the least popular classes in the game right now.

Next up we have Lahn, Female.

Uses a Crescent Pendulum, and a Noble Sword as her weapons with her Awakening being Crimson

Glaives.

God of War-esque.

Lahn is probably the most underrated class in the game right now.

They have the unique ability to fly for a short duration.

More like a glide really, but still pretty cool.

They're AOE is decent and their PVE clear is quite good.

Excellent resource management.

Some good iframes.

Ranged grab makes her potentially deadly in 1v1 situations.

Because she is so unpopular not many people know how to fight a Lahn, so that more often

than not becomes and advantage, but she is extremely squishy so one mistake or a bad

damage trade will mean certain death.

This also makes her not as potent in Guild Wars since she can't really survive for long.

Overall good class, though.

I'd say she's not incredibly easy to learn, but there is room for mastery there that can

make you pretty strong in most aspects of the game outside of Guild Wars.

Next up we have Ranger.

Female.

Elven Race.

Uses a Longbow and Dagger.

And a Kamasylven Sword as her Awakening, which is just a longer dagger essentially.

Ranger is strictly ranged pre-awakened before you hit level 56.

Then you become mostly melee with the use of the Kamasylven Sword.

She's quite mobile presents a quick style of play.

Her PVE clear is quite good, though her biggest drawback is high resource consumption.

Mana, though in my opinion not as bad as it used to be.

But Stamina consumption was nerfed a while back and that is the more annoying aspect

for most Ranger players.

She has very good damage.

1v1 she can be deadly with enough gear.

Past a certain attack value she will easily one shot you if you let her CC you.

I'd say she's not the easiest class to learn or master.

It takes a lot of time and gear, but she offers a different style of play that I personally

find enjoyable.

In terms of Guild Wars she's not very useful especially at lower gearscores you won't be

very effective.

And it's important to note that her range skills are there, but she is not a pure ranged

character, so keep that in mind.

For pure Range you want to be looking at the final class we'll be talking about.

Archer.

Male.

Elven Race.

Uses a Crossbow and a Ra'Ghon, a Magic Glove as his weapons.

And he uses a Greatbow for his Awakening.

The only class to start with his Awakening so you don't need to level to 56 to get your

second weapon.

You start with it.

His Range on some of his abilities is extreme.

This class is still fairly new so not many people have cracked the code so to speak to

fulfill the full potential of this class, but he is constantly getting buffs so he is

without a doubt a strong class, we just don't know how strong yet.

Range is always powerful and he has a lot of it and his mobility is quite good as well

as his resource management where he doesn't really suffer too much like the Ranger does

for example.

PVE clear is very good in certain grind spots, but it is reliant on grind areas and density

so he can be a bit awkward to grind with till you find a good rotation to use.

1v1 duels I'd say he is mediocre to good, with these buffs recently he might be a bit

better, but he'll really shine in guild wars where he can CC and deal damage from afar

with the support of his teammates.

Really interesting abilities as well, he has one ability that is more novel than useful,

but it uncovers any enemies in stealth and then prevents them from using stealth for

a brief window of time.

Not very practical, but cool that he has something like that.

Not much else to say, but this class is the newest class added to the game, so he will

by sheer will of the devs be at least a decent class moving forward till we get a new class

as newer classes get more love and are usually, not always, overtuned.

And that's it from me for this 2019 guide.

Went through the basics and the flavor of each class.

Hopefully it gave you an idea what classes you may want to check out.

When in doubt play Witch or Wizard.

Or Mystic or Striker.

Simple as that.

If you want to have fun and enjoy the game for along time, try the classes out, see what

you like and master the class regardless of future changes or the class ranking in the

ever changing meta leaderboards.

OSRS Complete 1-99 Cooking Guide 2019 (Fastest/Profitable) - Duration: 7:37.

what's going on guys this is my 1 to 99 cooking guide we're going to look at the

fastest method to 99 but also we're gonna look at a method that's pretty

good profit but it's still extremely quick cooking is a great first 99

because it's afk it's fast and it can be profitable first let's look at the

locations and items locations are very important when we're training we need a

fire or a range that's right next to a bank which will maximize our XP the

first one that I'm going to recommend is one of my favorites the Rogues then it's

below burthorpe in it's great for low levels as there are no requirements and

you don't have to move at all to be able to bank it's also quite crowded so you

get a chance to speak to a lot of people it's pretty good for social as well

number two is the myth skills it's the closest range to a bank but it

does require Dragon Slayer to quests so the requirements are pretty high and now

the third which I think is the best it's her Sidious kitchen now it does

require a hundred her Sidious favor and it is six tiles away from the bank but

you also get a 5% less burn right which stacks with your cooking gauntlets so

combined you do get a huge reduction in burnt food which means more XP per hour

now I know there are a couple more like the cooks guild which is two spaces from

a bank but it requires 99 cooking or the Varrick hard diary so the requirements

are very high also clay oven at nada which is

southeast of Palvin each that is nine tiles away from a bank

but I would suggest use the rogue's then ensure you have access to the facilities

well the myths kitchen now let's take a look at the quest the family crest this

will give us access to the cooking gauntlets if you have already done it

and chose other gauntlets then you can do the family pest which will let you

gain all three on screen is a very useful table from wiki this shows us at

what level you stop burning food and then with and without the cooking

gauntlets and the five percent boost from her Sidious kitchen it's also worth

noting that even though you can still burn food the burn rates at the her

sidious kitchen are much lower than anywhere else

uninterrupted you can cook up to 1,400 items per hour at the rogue's then so

for the XP we're going to look at the maximum possible but then we're going to

also look at a more realistic figure which will account for the burnt ones

hopefully that's enough information for you to get going let's take a look at

the training route that I recommend 1 to 15 we're going to do sardines a lot of

guides tell you to do shrimp but they're 30 XP when sardines are 40 XP you're

gonna burn a lot of this level regardless so we require 61 cooked

sardines from 15 to 25 we're going to need to cook 78 trout 25 to 35 we need

162 salmon now if you have 24 fishing it's not a bad idea to do fishing at a

barbarian village as you'll be able to fly fish to the salmon and trout

yourself and there's a permanent fire just behind you to cook on that's level

35 there's two routes that we can take both will lose us money until about

level but one a lot more than the other so

let's start with a cheaper route to ultimately getting a decent profit later

on 35 to 50 we need to cook 790 tuna

fifty to seventy-five nine thousand two hundred and forty three lobsters 75 to

85 thousand five hundred and forty-one swordfish

so from 80 there's a couple of ways that we can use

first of all eighty to ninety nine we can do monkfish that requires seventy

three thousand six hundred and fifty six another good alternative is shark fifty

two thousand six hundred and twelve and finally quran wan that requires fifty

eight thousand one hundred and fifty you can actually want ich koran one which

i'll show you later in the video and you can get up to 1 million XP per hour

there's a few more that's worth mentioning which i'll just leave on

screen for a second supply on these can be quite low so they can be pretty

difficult to get hold of a decent number off but they're all profitable and also

baked pie spell which requires lumina diplomacy that's a good spell gives you

good at magic XP gives you good cooking XP but it's horrendously expensive now

if we look at the fastest route from thirty-five you can do jugs of wine now

you don't stop making bad wine until around 68 so unless you've got money to

throw away it might be worth waiting until then from level 35 you'll need to

make sixty 5061 you can get up to about half a million XP per hour but as you

can see you lose about 190 GP / wine that you make once you put them into

your bank they will stay unfermented and she'll you stop making wine for

around 12 seconds so theoretically you could do six hours of wine that's when

it will force you to log out and then when you log back in you can get a three

million XP drop at once so finally the fastest cooking XP in the game

is one ticking quorum one if you pull the bottom left quorum run right next to

the range and just hold down the number two which will automatically select cook

Quran 1 and then all you've got to do is drag them on as fast as you can and that

way you will get up to a million XP per hour please remember if you're buying

all the stuff from the GE if you need to cook 5000 don't forget you're gonna burn

quite a lot so you need to buy quite a few more I'd say around 25% more than

you need I've really hope you've enjoyed the guide if you give us a thumbs up and

the subscribe and I'll see you on the next video

How To Cook The Perfect Pan Seared Steak: A Beginner's Guide | Jono (Episode 7) - Duration: 5:32.

Wassup YouTube. Its Jono here.

When I first started out in the kitchen,

cooking steak was extremely daunting.

Its not the cheapest ingredient.

So I was always worried of screwing up a good piece of meat.

If you're a beginner learning how to cook steak,

the quickest & simplest method would be pan searing.

This was the method I learnt when I first started out in the kitchen.

So today, I'm going to show you step by step how to cook a

perfectly pan seared steak everytime.

Lets go.

For a perfect steak, make sure you get a quality cut of beef.

I've gone with a Scotch Fillet.

But other great steak cuts you can get include:

Eye Fillet, Sirloin, T-Bone & Rump.

Don't try buy the cheapest thing you can find.

First time I tried cooking steak, I went to the supermarket

and I bought the cheapest thing I could find

- a chuck steak for $12/per kg.

I'm not saying chuck steak is bad,

Its just not appropriate for pan searing.

What I ended up getting was a tough & chewy piece of steak.

Not pleasant.

So learn from my mistake.

Choose a cut of meat thats appropriate for pan searing.

Try get a piece of mean with a good thickness to it.

Preferably around 1-1.5 inches.

One last thing you want to look for in a good steak is the marbling.

These are the little streaks of fat which are interweaving through the meat.

The more marbling a steak has the more tender it will be.

Ok, so now that we've got our piece of meat sorted, time to season it up.

Rub both sides of the steak with olive oil.

Then generously season with salt & pepper.

When you're cooking steak, always remember to remove the steak

from the fridge 20-30 minutes before you actually cook it.

This bring the meat up to room temperature

which will allow it to cook evenly.

Thats what helps it develop that beautiful brown crust whilst

still staying nice & tender in the middle.

Wow that was a lot of steak info.

And now its finally time to cook the damn thing.

So get a pan with a heavy bottom & preheat it over a medium high heat.

A heavier pan means heat gets distributed more evenly

which gives the steak an amazing sear.

Let it get smoking hot.

To test, splash some water in the pan.

See that sizzle?

Its getting hot in here so its....

time to put on your steak....

Always lay the steak away from you.

You don't want oil stains on your lovely t-shirt do you?

Once your steak is on the pan, just let it sit there & sizzle away.

When I first started cooking, it was really tempting to play

around with the tongs & move it around.

But resist your urges!

Its really important to keep flipping to a minimum.

That allows the meat to get prolonged contact with the pan

which creates that beautiful brown crust.

Just flip the steak every 2 minutes so that it cooks evenly on both sides.

Don't forget to turn the steak on its side as well.

You want to cook the fat out of the steak & get a crust on all sides.

In cooking, we call this rendering down the fat.

See how the fat's turned from transparent to a golden brown colour?

Thats what we wanna see.

Ok now we've come to the hardest part of cooking steak.

Trying to figure out how long to cook the damn thing.

Now have you ever gone to a restaurant & ordered steak?

If you have you'll remember cos your wallet probably got

10x lighter.

But when you order, the waiter will ask you

"how would you like your steak done sir/madam?"

What they're referring to is how thoroughly you want your steak cooked.

Most people including myself like it medium rare

where its still slightly pink in the middle.

But it's up to you. I'm not your advisor.

This steak is around 300g so I'll probably cook this for 7-8min

for medium rare.

If you like it medium, go for 8-9 min.

I'm just going to do our final flip.

Oooo la la look at that sear.

Thats the golden brown crust we're looking for guys.

Just to finish off our steak, I'm going to add a tbsp of butter at the end.

This will just take your steak up to another level

and give you that rich buttery finish.

Omg this looks so good.

A little trick to test how well your steak is cooked is to

join your finger with your thumb.

So that's rare.

Thats medium rare.

So just poke your palm & compare the softness with the meat.

Once your steak is cooked, allow the steak to rest for 3 min.

I know it looks so damn mouth watering.

Its just sitting there going "EAT ME NOW".

Talk about temptations.

This is probably the hardest step to do but its also an important one.

Letting the steak rest will allow the juices inside to soak

back into the meat.

If you cut it now all those beautiful steak juices will come leaking out.

You don't want that.

When you're slicing steak, you always want to be cutting against the grain.

The grains are generally going to be running horizontally across the meat.

So you want to slice the meat vertically into lovely thin strips.

Ok here we go.

Fingers crossed.

Wooohooo turned out well.

Thats what you're aiming for in a perfect steak guys.

A lovely brown crust on the outside, but slightly red

juicy and tender on the inside.

Absolutely gorgeous!

Thanks you for watching.

Subscribe down below if you want to see the next episode.

Like & comment down below.

I would love to hear from you.

Anyways I'm out.

SMS 006: Raja Ayurveda and Air Travel - A Yogi's Guide to Flying - Duration: 38:45.

The Spartan Mind Strength podcast the podcast for mental grit and resilience

hosted by Vie Binga and Tim Ganley -- Hello

-- this is Vie -- and this is Tim -- and this is episode 6 of our Spartan mind strength

podcast -- yes actually our episode came up yesterday

we're now on Apple and all of those things -- exactly -- we started yesterday so today is

actually October 1st -- yes happy October -- and tomorrow we're flying to Greece so

this episode is mainly (there'll be some tangents -- of course -- and stuff like that) but mainly

going to be about a raja ayurveda look at traveling -- stay tuned we'll be right

back --

this first part is brought to you by global ayurveda conference's bringing

Ayurveda all over the world -- we're going to be talking mainly about Raja Ayurveda

and flying but even though flying wasn't around back when ayurveda was created unless you listen to

astronaut theorists say there was flying -- ancient astronaut theorists says yes -- yes but for this talk -- let's assume -- let's assume that

humans weren't flying so how do you bring in Ayurveda to something that

didn't exist because you can't say that okay they wrote this in the books on how

ayurveda for traveling exists -- it's the same thing as ayurveda's view on coffee and

chocolate you use Ayurveda the way it was intended which is you use it as a

framework to analyze different situations ayurveda gives us the frame

the framework through the qualities the 20 qualities the five elements the three

bio energies and -- bio energies are the other stuff we'll be talking about we'll

be talking about all of this forever but quick synopsis of what is a bio energy

because that's gonna be important for this right -- exactly very important so Ayurveda

says that there are three bio energies first we'll name them and then

we'll analyze them there is the Vata Pitta and kapha the vata bioenergy is

the bioenergy of movement -- the bioenergy is not something you can see

necessarily but you feel it so the vata bio-energy is all about

movement think the air element has a lot of movement in it think the space

element so travel for example has a lot of that vata bioenergy it's a lot about

movement the pitta bioenergy is about transformation think fire think water it

transforms things mainly fire a little bit less water and like it would be

turbulent water and then the kapha bio-energy -- quick question on that so but

does that fit into here being in st. Pete and then ending up in Greece is

that what -- that has a lot of the movement in it and it has -- transform -- some of the

transformation because it's it's the environment has shifted has changed

there is a lot of transformation going on that's that's exactly correct I was

trying to keep it a little bit simpler but and then kapha is the bio energy of

stability think calm stable static water think earth -- where's that in flying --

there isn't exactly that's why you want to bring it in

wow you're on today so the idea is ayurveda says okay look at the air travel

what do you have a lot of you have a lot of movement and you have a lot of

transformation and not necessarily good transformation because another part of

the transformation is the inflammation like as in bacteria and viruses too so

so what do you want to do you want to bring in a lot of the kapha a lot of the

stability and the easiest way you're not gonna like me for this the easiest way

to do that to bring in the stability during flying is to fall asleep

while on the plane -- which I can't do at all -- and most people cannot do

that's why we want to analyze everything else that you can do -- so Vie can sleep

because of your parents - I am blessed -- your upbringing your mother was -- she worked for

several airlines in Greece and we had free tickets everywhere and -- your father -- and

my father was the head of the Civil Aviation Authority and we had access -- so you've lived at the

airport -- exactly exactly I used to go to the

cockpit during a lot of flights and hang out with the pilots -- nice -- what because

tomorrow we leave we head for Greece we fly out we're flying Emirates so we head

we leave from Tampa to Newark and we are stuck there for a while -- and then Athens -- and then Athens -- yes so we'll be in Athens like

Wednesday afternoon local time -- we started preparing for this travel almost

a couple weeks ago -- yeah a couple of weeks ago yes -- because you want to do

certain things -- you want to prepare ahead of time you want to start adjusting you

want to start start helping your bio energies and there are a lot of things

you can do in terms of movement in terms of food and in terms of habits and

that's what we'll start talking about -- do you like what you hear the Spartan mind strength

podcast is available on Apple podcast and all other popular podcast

destinations please subscribe today and consider leaving us a rating and review

it helps us spread the word and help others find our content

don't forget to leave a comment and any questions you may have Tim and Vie would

love to hear from you

and we're back the first thing is movement a lot of mobility -- mobility

mobility mobility you want to be doing a lot of mobility training for a couple of

weeks before you are going to fly -- Sun Salutations get-ups -- Sun Salutations

Spartan get ups -- and wild table rock pose -- squats lunges -- the peanut butter jar

thing -- the coconut manna jar -- so lots of different movements to keep us mobile

-- exactly because what's going to happen is you may not have the chance to be

able to get up and move around as much while on the airplane -- and then the one that both

of us hate the most is the standing in the low low squat to help to -- yes you want

to put a link on this episode for that -- sure sure -- yeah it's sitting

in a low squat -- yeah but you call it something special isn't it the Spartan

squat -- yes actually I do call it the Spartan squat because it is painful in

every way -- yes and everyone at the studio hated

that one -- yes -- so it's a great one to do -- and everybody can do it and they can do

a modification of it -- that's before -- yes -- now we are at the airport -- so whatever your mobility

training choice is just go ahead and do it -- but now we're at the airport we

do something different -- while at the airport

try not to just sit walk around that's why it's also good to travel light

because then it gives you the chance to walk around walk around walk around walk

around stand just don't sit -- yeah we're going to Greece for six weeks to

set up all these trainings pick the olives all of those things and we're

bringing three carry-ons for both of us and that includes all the computer gear -- exactly and

no checking no checking three carry-ons and that includes yes all of the

electronics so you can do it -- it takes a while but it does work -- it may lead to

some domestics but it's worth it -- on the plane -- on the plane um well I sleep

so I am good -- you should get up and walk -- yeah you should get up and walk just get up and walk like

every 20 minutes or every half hour just move around even while sitting see if

you can sit like cross-legged just crossing one leg at a time just do

something -- point and flex your feet if that's the only thing you can do while

you are waiting -- exactly -- stretch like raise your arms overhead and stretch you know --

don't hit the people behind you in front of you or next to you --

yes stretch your obliques your sides

just do something fidgeting even is is healthy just do that -- when we land --

-- and when we land again mobility mobility mobility as much as possible

and the other thing we try to do we don't always succeed depends on the

environment is go out at a park or something on the beach if you can and

walk barefoot but that depends on your environment -- and that's the kaphaness -- and that -- kaphaness that's a word right -- the

kaphaness oh my goodness I think I will remember that forever -- kaphaness -- that's that's raising

the good kapha quality that is giving you grounding that's the best

thing you can do and not just in terms of movement the walking but in terms of

your mitochondria you are bringing in good gut bacteria but then again when we

say walk barefoot use common sense please and only do it if the environment

is conducive for that otheriwse your kaphaness will lead into

bad pittaness because you are gonna pick up things you don't want to like

bad bacteria and viruses -- movement is very important -- movement is very important if

you haven't gotten the point by now movement is very important -- number two is

nutrients what do we eat and not eat before during and after so let's go with

before -- okay so there are two things that are going on here you want to bring as much

good kapha as possible to keep the vata at bay so grounding and stability you

wanna bring in and also you want to support your immune system against any

negative pitta so you want hydration you want good fats

-- oleation -- oleation and you want nutrients for your immune system okay hydration

you want good electrolytes so don't just think water -- don't think Gatorade

either -- yeah no my goodness don't think Gatorade yes thank you for that don't

think soda so hydration is clean water filtered water and good electrolytes and

when we say electrolytes we are talking Himalayan salt lime or lemon and a

little bit of good sugar to assist with that which would be the raw

unfiltered honey -- as long as you can eat honey -- as long as you can eat honey -- oh by

the way attorney thing if -- yes yeah -- don't do anything you shouldn't do

-- full disclaimer don't do anything you shouldn't be doing or anything a doctor

a medical doctor has told you not to do and so

good electrolytes and if you cannot do honey maple syrup organic raw maple

syrup is the best in terms of good fats you want your extra virgin coconut oil

your extra virgin olive oil careful when you buy olive oils a lot of times they

have canola oil in them -- and canola oil that's a whole another podcast -- yes that would be a very long tangent we would have to go on

so no and since we started no vegetable oils period and then good grass-fed

butter good grass-fed ghee good lard if you can tallow all that and avocados

if you can if they are in season and we said hydration we said fat and now the

immune system to support your immune system the best thing you can do is have

bone broth we make our own bone broth but you can always get good bone broth

from the store as long as it is grass-fed -- grass finished -- and grass finished

and you're usually gonna find it in the frozen section -- yes -- not in the what

is the soup regular bad broth section so that's what you want to do before in

terms of food -- on the plane ideally you -- real quick before we get on the

plane is we cut out any any dry food like salads

-- yep no raw perfect yes no raw food like salads nuts -- that all feeds the vata --

that all raises the vata and that's what you do not want to do and no cold

no we cut all well we don't drink cold drinks but if you were to be drinking

cold drinks you don't wanna have cold drinks -- no ice cream

and yogurt today -- no

no you can have it I am not it's not worth it so and then on the plane again

we stay away from all the peanuts nuts pretzels they are dry they have

vegetable oils in them they are just terrible -- we actually don't even eat anything -- we don't eat the airplane food

we do not touch it we do we do time restricted eating it's not only that you

stay away from any bad stuff that you would be putting in your body you also

through the not eating assist your mitochondria who creates the energy of

life and then when we land we go for great warm home-cooked style food again -- yeah

when we went to Okinawa they took us to a great restaurant and we had -- it was the best

thing ever -- it was pigs feet and some type of -- some type -- organ soup -- yeah organ soup it was

warm and those noodles whatever they were buckwheat noodle -- yes yes yes -- oh my god it

was like the best thing you can have after a long flight -- and that really kicks -- and that yeah we

didn't feel anything we had even way more energy than before leaving -- we

actually had more energy than some of the people that were taking us around -- oh

of course yeah but yeah it was amazing so home-cooked meal lots of good fat

lots of good oleation your good electrolytes and your are set -- that's food --

that's food -- we'll be right back with some more stuff -- yay --

-- and we are back --

this next section is brought to you by Snow Shimazu of air beautiful all about

staying sane while traveling we'll have the link in the comment section of

course -- of course -- so now we're getting into habits and the -- habits -- habits -- and we're

going to talk about before during and after so what do we start doing before

we start traveling -- time restricted eating and intermittent fasting what it is

basically is you eat eat eat and then you don't eat for anywhere between 12 to

24 hours no caloric intake -- and I want to jump in

real quick because some people that are listening might say well that that's

today's fad -- fad exactly -- and it's not a fad this actually this is what what is the ayurvedic term

for this -- this is as ayurvedic as they come it is considered the most important

practice to address any imbalance and the Sanskrit word for it is langhana

and the reason it is so it is the most important health practice is

because it helps your ahara rasa which is considered the input to your rasa

dhatu in other words it helps clean up what goes into your body that will feed

the tissues -- and what that means is -- just do it -- because because this is thousands

of years old and it's not a today's fad -- no it's not -- eating every two to three hours

is a today's fad because that's only ten years old twenty years old -- yeah -- it

doesn't fit -- yeah -- the way that ayurveda the way

that Greek medicine had talked about in the scriptures -- and this is one of the

things that both systems of medicine both ayurveda and ancient Greek medicine

were saying it is the most important thing you can do for your body is stop

feeding it all the time -- and we'll get into fasting a lot because that's one of

the main things that we like to do so let's jump though to travel -- so basically what

exactly so before traveling a couple of weeks before traveling what you wanna do

is have your last meal or your last caloric intake say your glass of wine by

8 o clock in the evening and then do not put any calories in your body for at

least 12 hours which means 8 o clock the next day that would be 12 hours if you

want to do 14 hours it would be 10 o clock so it is really easy to do so

that's what we do a lot well we do it all the time -- all the time but we make sure that we follow it --

exactly -- two weeks before -- and that's why we mentioned when we are on the plane

which all together it can be more than twelve hours we just don't eat and and

then once we arrive there after the first couple of days we do it again this

way you allow your body to cleanse and rejuvenate

no caloric intake means you can have black coffee you can have your tea with

as long -- but I wouldn't be drinking black coffee on the plane --

no no no no no no we do not put anything in our body that comes from the

plane except -- sparkling water -- sparkling water which comes out of a sealed bottle because even the water the

regular water bottles -- can be -- can be -- refilled -- yes -- a lot of the planes

actually refill the water bottles -- exactly -- and then bring them and that refilling is coming

from the tanks which you don't know the last

time -- exactly -- that was cleaned -- and you may be putting bad pittaness in your body doing that -- see I created a whole new slang -- yes so that's

about the time restricted eating and intermittent fasting -- supplements --

supplements we like to take activated coconut charcoal which is again an

extremely old practice because charcoal was being used to help people

get rid of -- poisons -- and -- with that though you don't want to eat activated charcoal

with good food -- no because then you're missing out on everything -- because it's sucking all the

goodness out of what you just put in your body we take the activated charcoal

because we're on the plane breathing in a whole bunch of stuff -- exactly that's why we

take it and we take it like on an empty stomach and -- or if we did eat bad -- or if we did

eat bad because of whatever -- so that's and then krill oil -- krill oil -- we like to take some extra

krill oil because the omega-3s is exactly what you need to to pretty much to

prevent any inflammation omega-3s are really important because a lot of what

you're you may be breathing in or eating or whatever has too many omega sixes and

again we do wait 12 hours before we put the krill oil because that is fat -- exactly the

krill oil is fat and it is considered calories and you don't want to take

krill oil together with coconut charcoal because then you are missing out on all of the benefits -- you just

spent a whole bunch of money on nothing -- exactly and -- glasses -- glasses blue blockers or

blue light blockers this is something we wear a lot when we are inside you know

bad lighting which is pretty much everywhere and we don't wear them all

the time though but on the plane on the airplane and the

airports you just have way too many bad rays hitting you and that's why we like

to wear the blue blockers and there are several out there now we have just a

couple of favorite ones and we'll put the link in the comment section and they

I believe also they look really cool so to me -- if you've ever seen her

YouTube videos you will know that she wears them pretty much all the time -- yes --

next is the socks -- yeah compression socks and air beautiful has great

compression socks they are actually -- in fact those are the ones we use -- those are the

ones we use and I didn't know how great they were until I actually used

them and we wear them like pretty much from the moment we leave our place to

the moment we land -- yep -- and they help they really do help a lot if you have to just

sit a lot they they just they just work -- and then we bring layerings -- layering is

the most important thing at least for me in terms of clothing because the

temperature changes the airport maybe depending on where you are depending on

which say lounge you are at -- like right now it's 98 degrees outside -- yeah -- when we

hit the airport it'll be 50 degrees -- so depending on where you are and then on

the airplane also the temperature changes so again you want to minimize as

much of the vataness the movement the change in temperature you want to

minimize it you want to help your body yes when you are

healthy your body will thermoregulate on its own but why add an extra stressor

to your body so layers work great this way you don't have to carry around

really thick stuff bulky stuff like sweaters and things like that so layers

work great -- we get we're using patagonia --

yeah Patagonia's jackets and shirts -- because they pack up really small so it's very

easy to carry the rain gear and their jackets we take it everywhere -- and they look really cool

they match my sunglasses and then lounges -- yes spend the money on being

able to get into a lounge because when you're doing like a six hour layover

man it's nice to be in the lounge instead of in sitting on a hard -- exactly yes in

the main area it is it is great it is worth it so -- in fact sometimes we

actually even try to get the lay over so we can go spend the time in the lounge

-- yeah some of those lounges are pretty impressive the lounge in athens

has one of the best dishes of lamb and potatoes I've ever had -- and that's going

from that's going from Athens to -- to London -- to London yes oh my goodness -- excellent

one of the best lunges I've ever been in

China's lounge was nice too -- oh yeah it was it was really good -- we were in China for what we had a layover

14 or 15 hours -- yes -- and so we had to leave because it was overnight so we had

to leave the International Airport and go outside and then we got to come back

in right when it opened in the morning -- fresh food and everything -- we hit that and their food was excellent

-- their service -- the people there was beyond wonderful -- yeah they spent forty five minutes

trying to help me set up the internet connection and they didn't complain at

all -- no -- so if you get into the lounge it is very simple and it costs us because

you are you are a - american express priority pass -- priority pass so you're free and I'm sometimes a free pass and sometimes not -- and you are a companion -- I'm a companion

so the lounge is by far one of the biggest things that

makes traveling simple -- yes it adds a lot

and next is grounding right like -- do things that ground you -- do things

that ground you so when you get there when you arrive to your destination go

outside find a clean place and walk around barefoot if possible otherwise

just walk around and observe your surroundings just for a little bit -- and

if you can't even with that because sometimes the layovers we can't but

grounding poses such as one-legged stuff tree -- one legged balancing poses yes --

are extremely grounding and you don't even have to do the whole pose so people

look at you weird -- yes -- if you want to you can but just taking one foot off the ground

will start getting your body back into being grounded -- exactly so if you can get

outside and walk around and observe your surroundings please do that just for a

couple of minutes and if not then just the one-legged balancing poses even in

your tiny hotel room will do wonders they are more powerful than you think

you may think oh that's too easy too simple simple doesn't mean that it

doesn't work actually simple is the most powerful and one of the other things

that we didn't mention but we start doing right about what two weeks

out is no inversions -- oh yes no inversions no -- before during and after

-- yes because inversions are the worst thing you can do for your vata and pitta

bioenergies it will aggravate the heck out of them so that means no head stands no

arm balancing inversions not holding down dogs not holding standing forward

folds none of that anything that brings the

head below the heart is considered an inversion and it's the worst thing you can

do for your vata and pitta bioenergies and you won't know it until

it is way too late -- yeah because it's a very subtle -- it is a very very subtle energy

that it brings in so the imbalance is going to take a while to manifest in a

way that you can realize it because what happens is we do not realize how screwed

up we are while we are screwing ourselves up -- very good

so snow actually talks about two other things that I want to hit real quick - yes -- and

you might have a couple things too but two things that I really want to talk

about is she brings throwaway shoes -- yes -- so when you take your shoes off on the

plane you slide them in so you're not picking up all that junk on the ground

while you're walking around while you're walking to the bathroom so she brings

extra like slippers throwaway slippers -- or thick socks -- no throwaway slippers she does not bring extra socks because

that's going over top of your socks you are wearing then the other thing she brings

she mentions is to when you flush the toilet -- make sure the lid is down the lid

that covers the toilet make sure it is down so all of those bacteria

really nasty bacteria are not flying around in the air while you are in there

breathing them in and she actually created a course I believe on things

that you can do on the plane -- yes yes yes yes and all that will be on her website -- yes -- and

the other thing is that it's a good practice unless it gets you into trouble

with your neighbors is to cover the shades -- yep -- to shut the shutters on the

airplane windows so you don't have all that form of radiation coming in but

only do that if it doesn't cause any trouble -- yep --

you don't want things like that on the plane -- so we are heading to Greece

tomorrow -- oh and then the other thing is please be nice to the people working on

the airplane it is they have a very very hard job they have an extremely vata

and pitta deranging job and you wanna you wanna show that you respect what

they do so please be nice to them -- give them a tip even -- yeah -- so thank them -- we

leave tomorrow -- yes -- we fly out we're heading into Greece we're going to

be hitting the ground moving very quickly

we go to we have to deal with some paperwork right when we get there and

then we're heading to South Greece to pick olives -- to start picking olives -- from there

we have to not have to we get to go to the island of -- Aegina and prepare -- we're setting

up three different trainings yes the first one is going to be with Deborah

-- Deborah Lamber of Picasso's moon -- and she's creating a this is very cool she's

bringing a group of people and I don't know she might actually already be full

but she's bringing at over 20 people -- yes -- to the island to teach knitting and

meditation and it's it's even more than that she's given them -- it is using

fiber and it is a very very traditional form of knitting what she's

doing and you can figure it all out through her Instagram account -- yes -- and

that's Picasso's moon -- Picasso's moon yes -- next is right after we get done with

that group we're then going to do a hundred hour -- a 100 hour Ayurveda for the

mind course which is it's actually a hundred hour course that involves online

preparatory training in-person training on the island of Aegina and then post

practicum that's actually the most important part on how you can use

everything you learn for your own and with your clients --and then after that is a

three to five day conference with AAPNA -- yep global ayurveda conference co-hosted

with AAPNA the association of Ayurvedic professionals of North America and we

are going to have Ayurvedic doctors from all over the world -- we know already that India Canada

US -- UK -- UK possibly Holland -- Pakistan -- Pakistan so we're gonna have this awesome awesome

group of individuals that they specialize in ayurveda giving a

conference on that island -- yes -- and what's cool about that island is in Greek

Apollo is the one who brought medicine to the world today -- yes -- so and there's this

one of the oldest -- the temple one of the oldest temples -- is right there on the

island and we can look at it while the conference is going -- yes so talk about

talk about an amazing place for such a conference and if you

decide you ever want to travel or if you do travel Aegina Greece is one of the greatest -- Aegina is the best one of the

best islands you haven't heard of yet -- yes okay anything else -- that's it -- so -- next time --

we will be either doing this in Greece we might be doing this in -- Newark

Newark -- it depends -- but will be on the road thank you so much -- much much love from

both of us namaste kala may we all be well

if you found today's show helpful please give us a rating a review or both and
