Was there a no. 1 and no. 2?

They had two different kinds of pork rib soup.

One is special pork rib soup. One is regular.

I like the name. Special pork rib soup?

Tips Seduh Dengan Syphon Coffee Maker - Duration: 7:04.

Hi, coffee lovers ! Welcome back to Otten Vlog Channel !

This time, we will make syphon or known as vacuum pot.

Or in English, we call it with syphon (read : /ˈsīfən/ )

So, in front of me,

there is a bottom chamber from syphon that have cute rounded shape.

And also with the top chamber.

Together come with a filter.

Usually, you can use filter comes from cloth or metal material.

And this time, I will use filter comes from metal.

Also there is a gas burner here.

And completed with the lid.

Medium fine is the suitable coffee grind size for syphon.

I need around 20 gram of coffee.

This is the coffee ground with medium fine. .

Weigh the coffee.

I have a super cool scale from Acaia.

And what I need is 20 gram of coffee.

Okay, it has been enough.

Okay, it has been 20 gram of coffee.

Next, prepare 300 ml of water.

For those who doesn't have scale, it's okay.

You can see the indicator of this syphon chamber.

There are 2 cups and 3 cups.

Because I'm a typical person who likes to share,

so we will make 3 cups.

Pour the water on the bottom chamber,

until three cups.

For the water, you can use water with room temperature,

or also from you have heat on previously.

So it will help brewing faster.

and the process will also be faster.

Okay, the water has been in three cups.

Next, put the metal filter inside.

Put this metal syphon filter in the top chamber.

Put it slowly,

Pulling down the metal chain and hook the filter.

Remember to hook the filter so the filter will not move anywhere.

Make sure the filter will not fall down and in tight condition.

And put the top chamber to the bottom chamber.

Lock it tightly so there will be no air inside and the water can come to the top chamber.

Next, turn on fire.

Turn on the gas burner.

Boil the bottom chamber so the water will go up to top chamber.

See, the water starts boiling and slowly go up to the top chamber.

So, although it is burned, boiled,

the material is good and heat resistant.

It is very safe to use.

As you can see, it starts to boil.

Th e water starts to rise up to the top chamber.

As you can see the smoke of the water.

This is called as the ritual of making coffee.

It looks like start to finish of boiling water, then lower the fire.

Stir the water.

Don't let the water boil too much.

So coffee lovers, don't worry there still have water on the bottom chamber.

But, still have a bit of water, its okay.

Continue to the next move.

Add the coffee ground on the top chamber.

Okay, now turn on the timer.

Stir slowly.

Then, close with the lid and wait for one minute.

One minute is the extraction time of using this syphon.

There is one tips that you need to know.

Coffee lovers, for the bottom chamber, you need to retain the heat.

And for the top chamber, you need to make sure when on the boiling process.

Okay, it has been one minute, so turn off the gas burner.

Okay, just pull it out.

Then, the water will slowly go down around 30 seconds.

It starts to going down.

Do you know why it doesn't go down directly?

Because the bottom chamber is still hot.

But, it looks like the water is slowly going down.

As the bottom chamber is slowly cooling down.

Look, the water is going down !

All the coffee residue in the top chamber,

will be filtered by metal filter that still in the middle of syphon.

This is the coffee that I brewed with syphon.

It has finished, so take out the top chamber.

For your information, this is very hot and even you can see, there is a smoke.

Remember to not hold it directly, as it is very hot.

Take a cloth and move a little bit of the top chamber.

Move slowly.

Take it out directly.

Put slowly to the lid.

Its time to enjoy the coffee that brewed with syphon !

Let's try the coffee that I brewed with syphon !

The taste is full bodied and clean.

There is a bit of smoky taste, but doesn't bother too much.

And also a hint of chocolate caramel.

There is one tips for those who use this syphon method.

Make sure with the water temperature.

Don't let it be until it is over extraction.

If you do until it is over extraction,

you will get burnt coffee.

So, make sure with the water temperature.

COM ARTS 200 Video 1.0 Final "Why You Should Not Drink Coffee" - Duration: 2:50.

Hey guys!

I'm Luke and I'm a freshman here at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and I

have a question for you.

How many of you guys drink coffee, and if you do, how much?

Well, if you do, then you're like 83% of other Americans.

However, I'm a part of that 17%, as I've never had a cup of coffee before in my life.

What I'm here to do today is to talk to those who feel they are too addicted to coffee,

or those who are looking for a reason to quit drinking coffee, or those who are like me,

and just think that coffee isn't good for you, I'm going to tell you what coffee does

to your body and why you shouldn't be drinking it.

So for starters, many of us know that coffee contains caffeine.

What caffeine does is increase the release of norepinephrine and dopamine neurotransmitters

in your brain, which causes you to have that alert and awake feeling those first couple

cups of coffee.

However, as you continue to drink it your body builds up a tolerance to that, so it

takes more and more coffee for you to feel that alert and awake feeling.

However, when you drink more and more, what it does is it raises your blood pressure and

increases your heart rate, which can lead to developing anxiety and jitters which can

later lead to panic attacks.

Second, the caffeine disrupts your sleep schedule.

So one night it wakes you up at one or two in the morning, and then the next day at one

or two in the afternoon, you're feeling tired again.

So, you have another cup of coffee, which then disrupts your future sleep schedule,

and then from there on, it's just a continual process.

Next, I'm not going to claim that caffeine is an addictive, however it acts like one,

and for those who drink a lot of coffee and then try and quit by going cold turkey, they

experience extreme withdrawal symptoms such as headaches, fatigue, and irritability.

And then also, just coffee in general yellows your teeth and dehydrates your skin, which

can cause wrinkles, and I don't think any of us want that.

So, now you might say to me, "Well Luke, that's why I drink decaf coffee" so let's

talk about that.

In order to make decaf coffee, the coffee beans are rinsed in chemicals that essentially

dissolve the caffeine inside those beans.

However, it doesn't do its full job.

So, when you're drinking that decaf coffee, there is still some caffeine in there, which

means you can still get addicted to it.

Also, coffee beans in general already have enough pesticides and chemicals on them.

So, by drinking decaf, you're putting even more unwanted chemicals into your body.

Now, don't get me wrong, there are some claims that coffee does have some health benefits.

However, many of us don't just have one cup every now and then for the health benefits.

We have multiple cups a day to try and feel that alert and awake feeling and that's

when coffee starts to become a problem.

Thank you guys for watching today.

This is just the start of some videos that I will be posting.

If you like them, let me know in the comments, and just stay tuned for future videos.

Have a great day guys!

Behind the Bar coffee series: Syrup - Duration: 1:45.

Syrup is primarily a breakfast restaurant.

But we think that if you're going to serve people good food, you should also serve them good coffee.

Hi. My name's Austin, and I'm a barista at Syrup.

I like how welcoming and open and friendly Syrup is.

That's really positive for coffee because one of the criticisms that speciality coffee gets

is that they're kind of closed-off and uppity.

It's a really nice way to start somebody off in the speciality coffee world,

by starting them off just eating breakfast.

The type of coffee that the coffee industry is currently moving towards is more specialty.

So you're looking for specific flavors.

You're trying to keep the inherent characteristics of each type of coffee bean.

I think specialty coffee shops are trending right now because people have really started caring about quality,

And nuance, and the craft of actually doing something.

Instead of it just being completely mass produced and all tasting the same.

Previous coffee experience has been mainly about the caffeine, I feel like.

That's not the direction coffee's heading anymore.

If you do coffee right, there is so much more that this bean has to offer than just the caffeine.

The third wave coffee shop reflects this general trend in the coffee world.
