I'll be releasing weekly content in regards to e-commerce Shopify drop

today's video I'm gonna be providing a lot of value as well as providing you
with some software that's revolutionized my whole product research process if you

it's comfortable a lot of people are asking me why I'm giving away so much
free content and why I'm trying to mentor people one on one and the reason
is because these gurus self-proclaimed gurus that are scamming people the
corrupt gurus nobody ever helped me I want to provide as much help for people
as possible because I never had helped myself everything stemming back from
even when I was a born with my disease as a child and never had helped curing
it and suffered with it for over 20 years up to me needing to eventually
cure it on my own like I did a year ago I've never had any help so if I could
provide help for others who are willing to put in the work and prevent people
from suffering and struggling as much as I have with basically everything then
all my suffers will be worth it so that's essentially why I'm trying to
mentor and help as many people as possible for free and that's about all
there is to it so let's go ahead and jump right into my computer jump into
the content the software that I'm gonna be telling you guys about today has been
extremely powerful and it is a paid software but I believe in it and it's
been incredibly beneficial for me so I want to share it with you guys as well
and I'm not gonna ever promote anything I don't believe in that cost money on my
channel unless I truly believe in it so I hope you guys enjoy alright let's get
into it
mm all right all right Shopify product research all right this
is a topic that I get questions about all the time now if you saw my other
content you have a good idea of how to go about marketing in the process that
you need to go through in order to start marketing your product and seasoning
your pixel and driving traffic to your store and eventually obtaining sales
check the right-hand corner I'll have a card pop-up if you're interested and all
the marketing material in regards to Instagram influencers
now I'm gonna provide you guys some incredible software that I use that will
be beneficial for just about anybody who is selling anything on Shopify this
software makes the whole process so incredibly easy and it saves so much
time so it's perfect for the person that's ready to take their game to the
next level and really start cranking out some progress here so Shopify product research
2018 part 1 let's jump right into it first things first I want to go over
some issues that are sort of related to product research okay so before we get
to the software so let's jump into this first okay so people are having an issue
where their customer is receiving their package with Aliexpress written on the
return label now people are flipping out a little bit because their concern stems
from the fact that their customer might see the return label and see that the
product came from Aliexpress thus realizing that they were up charged a
little bit and then never being a return customer now this isn't that big of a
deal how many people really go and grab the dirty envelope and scrutinize the
faded text in the top left corner not that many people do but it's a concern
people are having so I want to address a couple methods that you can do to avoid
this and this is going to be a part of your product research and the overall
process so it might be beneficial for people who may have not thought of this
yet okay so avoiding Aliexpress written on the packaging so one method people
are talking about now mind you I've never had this issue where the product
says Aliexpress on the return label I don't know if it's a based on what
country you're ordering from or shipping to I don't really know and when I
contact Aliexpress customer service they are pretty useless in regards to health
so they actually told me if you don't want Aliexpress written on the package
rip it off that's actually what they said and they weren't much help beyond
that so you know we're just kind of taking guesses here it's kind of just a
guessing game but this should be helpful tips so you want to first avoid products
that are displayed as fulfilled by how to express this is similar to fulfilled
by Amazon when you buy a product that is fulfilled by Aliexpress it can very well
say the company name up in the corner in the return label section because it's
fulfilled by Aliexpress now if you're ordering something that's not fulfilled
by Aliexpress it'll say the sellers company so dog collars Co dog collars
incorporated or something and then they'll have the address and phone
number items are fulfilled by Aliexpress will potentially say Aliexpress in the
top corner alright you also want to try to avoid choosing the Aliexpress
standard shipping when you go to select your shipping you have the option of a
packet for those who don't know you always want go for a packet because it's
the fastest and most reliable in most cases unless you want pay a crapload and
pay for like EMS UPS or FedEx or something like that avoid this
Aliexpress standard shipping some say that is the root cause as to why people
are getting how we express written on the return label so select a packet
ignore the Aliexpress standard shipping if at all possible but the main thing
you want to do is you want to build a relationship with the supplier you need
to maintain communication and you guys need to be on the same page together
they need to realize that you're a serious business person and they need to
understand exactly what your business model is so that you guys can be on the
same page I think that's the biggest issue people are having they'll put in a
note section do not include anything that says Aliexpress do not include any
marketing materials but they won't actually ever communicate with the
supplier and build a relationship so it's vital I can't I can't say this
enough and yeah build a relationship with the supplier beforehand before even
start ordering things okay and then you have a solid relationship and you're on
the same page and you guys know each other then you need to start ordering
samples you need to order samples so that you can receive the product and
make sure that he or she is indeed not including invoices and
aerials that might mess up your business model and you can address any issues
that might happen before you start shipping this stuff to your customers so
you really need to build a relationship with your supplier now another tip you
can look at the negative feedback that some of these items have and you could
contact the supplier before you order samples and you could address these
issues that the negative feedback on the product are talking about so I'll show
you an example here I'm just using Amazon because it's quicker and less
glitchy how Express kind of has its issues every once in a while but this
will be the same process that you do on Aliexpress so let's say you are ordering
this dog color okay so you'll go on Aliexpress you'll look at the reviews ok
we'll click the reviews I chose this because it has a lot of reviews ok
you'll select the one-star reviews you'll see kind of what people are
complaining about you see here someone complains if rough scratchy and not
suitable for dogs with thin coats this complaint is a little shorter says love
the bright color but within days of having it on our Minnie duck soon broke
out and dermatitis disappointed because the color was very rich and the color
was very scratchy and bothersome now you can address this with the supplier you
can order samples and you can feel the product and have the product in your
hand and test the product and verify that your product in particular does not
have this issue this is just one simple example but it could really save your
ass in the long run this way you can mark it on your website people that have
complaints this person complaints of the color being too scratchy you can market
it on your website when you test it that the product is smooth and will not cause
irritation with your dog don't wanna lie to people you want test the product and
be sure that you're telling the truth or if it's a bad product just not sell it
at all another common issue is a customer receives a product that does
not match the color of the photo so when you order your samples you can test the
product and hold the product and view it in person to verify the description on
the listing does indeed match the product when you have it in hand you
could contact the supplier and you can have them send you a recent photo of the
product so you could see a little bit better if the product differs in color
and compares what's on the listing now these are just
kind of some examples to give you an idea kind of mindset you should have and
work towards when building relationship and ordering samples and dealing with
Shopify product research when you order your samples and when your drop shipping
you want to inform the supplier that the item is drop shipping items and not to
include invoices and promotional items now if you have a good relationship with
the supplier you could you could talk to him about inserting your own promotional
items put your own brand and your own logo in there potentially offer some
coupons have the supplier put a flier inside the package with a coupon to your
website if you build a relationship with the supplier and you're on good
standings and have a mutually beneficial relationship some of them will do this
for you not everybody will but some well so it's worth building a relationship so
you can avoid issues and have benefits like this and we'll go into a lot more
techniques like this in other videos but I can't tell you enough how important
building a relationship is because sometimes the supplier will include an
invoice this is do not include an invoice so when you are leaving a note
something in the notes section that says do not include an invoice sometimes
they'll ignore it and they'll just include an invoice this is do not
include an invoice so it's really important to build a relationship with
your supplier now for the people that are just starting out and they've never
ordered anything from Aliexpress when you add something to your shopping cart
you'll get to this type of page you click buy to seller then you go to the
second page where you can enter your notes okay this is a previous customer
so I'm just blocking out their information there this is an example of
what you'll want to put in your notes section you can take a screenshot of a
if you want or you could just use something similar when you have a
relationship with your supplier you leave this note in the notes section as
a reminder we are almost to the section where I show you about this incredible
software I just want to do whoever might not be interested in the software some
value in this video so that it's beneficial for everybody so more on
ordering samples during your Shopify product research another benefits this
is you'll be able to determine if there's gonna be any delays okay
items that have batteries items that are considered dangerous electronics they
may have some delays so you need to order samples so
you can plan for any potential delays that they have electronics in particular
America has laws set in place to prevent China from just shipping and crop loads
of cheap electronics and undercutting the American electronics industry so
that with certain electronics there might be a delay so those items can be
inspected you're going to order samples to make sure so there's not too large of
a delay you're gonna order sample so you could determine if there's gonna be any
additional fees generally speaking items that are less than multiple hundreds are
just declared by Chinese customs as a gift or very low value so there should
be no additional fees when you order but I can't say for certain that that's
gonna be the case with everything because it is a Chinese store and they
tend to do things differently so you just need order samples so you could
determine all these potential issues and avoid them for when it's time to ship it
to your actual customer you need to be able to have the product and feel the
product and see the product determine the quality because you're running a
real business you're not running some turn-and-burn
get rich quick scheme you need to treat this as a real business and Aliexpress
just happens to be your warehouse test the products order samples and get
everything rolling properly alright so this is to the good part yeah this

Aliexpress you could find it for yourself you can actually look at their
store you can see all the details that would be relevant to your product when
you're selling it you can look at their description you can see the photos
they're used if they're having sex success you don't need to reinvent the
wheel you can model what they're doing this isn't pesos right now cuz I'm in
Philippines they have an app that changes the currency based on where the
person is but there's tons of information yeah you can look at their
Facebook page this one in particular it looks like they don't have a Facebook
page anymore but let's look at this for example the dog bakery you can look at
what they're doing in your niche and having success with you guys don't need
reinvent the wheel you can find what people are having success with and you
can model it you can look at their Instagram page see what kind of content
they are promoting so you can make similar content looks like they have a
lot of videos and as you may have heard in my other videos
humans are attracted to movement and they've got that pretty well dialed in
with all these videos all you have to do is model what people I've already had
success at so there's all these filters this is for the Shopify product research
there's these tools if you ever are doing Amazon FBA or any kind of eBay
dropshipping there's some additional tools here but this really cool part
here is actually the store inspector you're able to get all their details you
can see what theme they're using see this place in particular they have a
custom thing now that's gonna be the best move instead of using one of the
three things if you can invest in it if you want to have a custom thing so you
stand out from the rest and look more professional you can see how many sales
they're getting the last time the website was updated you can see what
yeah this one's Facebook pages already taken down but you can see what social
platforms they have currently you can see all the product insights you could
see when they are launching products you can see that recently added products you
can see what apps they're using this is huge to be able to see what apps a
successful store is already using is huge so you can model what their success
already is get details on their traffic a lot of powerful options here and
there's this option here relevant to people that are using Shopify you could
actually do a Shopify store search so you can actually look at whether or not
they have a pixel installed the price of their best seller how much sales they
have how many visitors they have today
whether or not they have an Instagram profile tons of information that is
relevant so you can copy and model exactly what they're doing and put your
own spin on it a lot of powerful information there's really so much
information that's available with this intelligence software I'm just really

Amazon is selling facial recognition software to the police - here's why it matters. - Duration: 11:08.
everybody my name is Yeshi Milner and I am founder an executive director of Data
For Black Lives we are an organization of scientists activists students parents
teachers black communities all working to harness the power of big data to make
concrete and measurable change in the lives of black people we know that for a
really really long time data has been weaponized against black communities
through FICO credit scores redlining even the three-fifths compromise racism
in this country has almost always been numerical and today we things are no
different these technology companies have a lot more data which give them a
lot more power and a lot more influence around political decisions that really
really really impact communities of color especially black communities today
I wanted to come on and talk about what recently happened with Amazon and I want
to preface this by saying that this is not the first time that a big tech
company has been involved with providing data or directly providing services to
law enforcement for the purposes of specifically tracking surveilling
surveillance and identifying quote-unquote future crimes and future
criminals in 2016 the Baltimore Police Department in collaboration with
geofeedia which is a location-based tracking and threat detection software
company that has raised millions of dollars in venture capital funding of
course you know it was exposed by the ACLU that they had been using Facebook
Instagram and Twitter data in order to identify people involved with the
protests that had become a response to the miscarriage of justice that was
Freddie Gray's murder at the hands of Baltimore Police geofeedia used location
data tweet data problems and facial recognition image data in order to find
out that there was chatter amongst high school students
around a protest of course the police responded as they probably would have
done without the data which is by rounding up and arresting hundreds of
young people high school students on their way home from school
I remember when the protests were happening and activists from all over
the country were making call to other organizations like the one that I was
working with to help them fundraise to get some of these young people out of
jail when you asked the Baltimore Police Department around how they use the data
being said that they were able to also find rocks and sticks and protest signs
and other kind of paraphernalia that had been allegedly used by these young
people in order to link them to these protests we know that this was really
not the case we know that this was another example of the ways in which
Baltimore police department was using these technologies in order to do what
they've always done exactly what they did to Freddie gray and to continue to
suppress the voices of young black people and of black communities in the
city at the same time we do commend Facebook Instagram and Twitter for
heeding the call and for responding to ACL u--'s pushback on these issues by
rescinding all the data that had been provided to geofeedia and this was
before all the Cambridge analytical scandal this was before any of us even
knew that it was possible for private companies to take our data created on
these social media platforms whether it's through scraping data whether it's
through having developer access whether it's or just plain stealing it in order
to develop products and technologies that could make money in this case the
law enforcement technologies why is this a problem first of all the Act and the
history of surveilling policing and incarcerated black communities is
historical we know you know I grew up under the Clinton crime bill which was a
legislation that was really embedded in legislation opinions really racist and
on evidence and totally totally unfounded besides on own
personal bias perceptions of young black people this is where we see the super
predator myth being proliferated this is where we see ideas like the fact that in
a few years young black youth all over the country are going to literally take
over the country a violent crime robbing white communities snatching old
ladies bags we haven't seen that happen in fact after they after the super
predator myth came out we saw a decline in youth crime and john de luleå the
social scientist who was leading the charge against us this entire time ended
up retracting his statement and becoming a Catholic as a way to atone for what I
think is a very egregious sin of lying to the public around the realities of
young people especially young black people even though the super predator
myth has been totally dismissed and has been totally unfounded we see these
myths not only embedded in code Cathy O'Neil always says that opinions
algorithms our opinions embedded in code we see them embedded in legislation we
could have event in the culture and the practices of policing when it comes to
what's happening with Amazon right now I think it's particularly interesting that
the to put law enforcement agencies that are involved in this Orlando and Oregon
are also hopefully going to be called under question for my work as an
activist in Florida around ending to school to Prison Pipeline and Ron police
brutality from my work around pushing for Trayvon's law or response to the
miscarriage of justice that was George Zimmerman's acquittal I spent a lot of
time learning about law enforcement in the state of Florida and I remember you
know one day when we got a call from a news station and from some act of some
other comedian forgets where a female police officer actually got went into a
shooting range and after going into the shooting range she saw that the police
and it were in there before her had been using mug shots of real people real mug
shots of black menace target practice one of the people in
those mug shots were her own brother so literally when we were saying that law
enforcement was using black people as target practice
this was actually happening literally law enforcement Florida have been using
black people as target practice whether it's in shooting ranges and that
culture and that same attitude spilling out in the streets when they should be
doing their job as public servants when we think about big base the database is
behind the facial recognition software a lot of the data that used to identify
images against one another which is the whole technology behind facial
recognition software are based on mug shot databases we don't have a crime
data in this country we have arrest data there are plenty of white people who are
committing crimes they're never arrested for it they're not so what do we see in
these mug shots databases we see an over-representation and an over sampling
of black individuals we see an over-representation of black people who
again have not been trying have not been convicted of crimes they've only been
arrested in most states in this country the likelihood and the ratio of black
people being arrested to white people are three to one that means that black
people are three times more likely to be arrested than white people this makes me
say that above all this facial recognition software is none other than
automated racial profiling setting us back decades if not generations in
efforts to end the over policing the over surveillance and the
criminalization of black communities these technologies will not just be used
at protest student walkouts anti-trump demonstrations but will also probably be
used at polling places they'll be you in schools they'll be using social
services agencies instead of using this technology for example to help identify
the many girls black girls mind you who've gone missing in DC to help us
track down the many many young people who are being sex trafficked across this
country every day instead of it being used to provide even more security to
make sure that Muslim communities other religious groups are not being
victimized to help us document hate crimes there's very little data on hate
crimes that are happening but know none of this technology is going to be used
for that instead it's going to be used to continue a historical and vicious
cycle of repression and of criminalization that I think we honestly
have an opportunity to end right now the data for black labs is proud to be in
support of ACL u--'s letter as well as our own efforts to hold Facebook
accountable by pushing Facebook to commit data to a public data trust
establish a code of ethics and to hire more black data scientists so that
internally within these organizations when something like this happens there
are people there who can pushback and who can say this is not OK we are not
going to use our talents as data scientists as researchers as people who
really do believe in that the technology behind facial recognition to do good
we're not going to let it be used for harm thank you very much please follow

Using a chat-like approach to collect feedback from your customers, it's almost
like a chat bot, it just takes things one step at a time and it's super intuitive.

It's easy. The backend is super easy to set up surveys, I set one up for myself

the main things I love about SurveySparrow is the advanced logic. Now, what
does this mean? Well, let's say you're asking a question like "on a scale from 1
to 5 how happy were you with our services?" You can program SurveySparrow
where if they say 3 or lower, there's a follow-up question on "what can we do
better next time to improve your satisfaction?" Or if it's a 4 or higher,
just go ahead and move on to the next question.
This is especially awesome because that one-on-one functionality with one
question at a time, so where conventional surveys have this whole long page and
it's overwhelming, users click it they are scanning it it's a lot for them to
handle and a lot of times they just click off and don't take your survey,
with this it really takes things one at a time and it doesn't seem overwhelming.
You can also customize surveys with the person's name
so right at the beginning of the survey you can say "hey what's your name?" and you
could use that throughout the survey, or if you've got a list of clients, you can
put their names in along with their email address and they'll get an email
to take your survey and when they click it, it already knows their name because
you put it in. That's pretty awesome! Now when it comes to other features, I love

SurveySparrow is a lot of the pre-made survey templates that have questions
already there, the grammar can be a little funky
and awkwardly worded. That's totally fine because you can change it yourself, so I
took some of the pre-made questions and worded them a little simpler or fixed up
the grammar for myself, but it is something they could improve on is
making sure the questions really are in the simplest way possible as far as
phrasing and that there's no grammar errors throughout. So, in conclusion,
