If you thought Memphis was only known for Elvis and barbecue, guess again. This
is a place that mixes historic charm with a modern mentality. There's
something for everyone here, even vegans. Here my top 15 favorite things to do in
the city of Memphis. Welcome to M town, Memphis, Tennessee.
Hey! Hey! 1. Cruise around Memphis in style with rockabilly rides. I pretty much felt
like a celebrity in his dreamy 1955 Plymouth Belvedere. Okay hello apparently
this is my ride for the tour. We got so many looks and for good reasons, I mean
just look at this bad boy. This tour will make you feel like you're going back
into time as you explore the rich musical past of Memphis. They offer
several private experiences but I did the Red Hot & Blue tour which let me
relive the early days of Elvis before and during his rise to fame. 2. Visit the
legendary Sun Studio. Now this place has the claim of being the birthplace of
rock and roll. You'll stand in the same place where music legends like Elvis, BB
King and John Cash recorded some major hits. They do 45-minute tours every day
between the hours of 10:00 and 6:00
3. Go to the Stax Museum of American Soul. Now if you want to experience the
studio that's pretty much synonymous with southern soul music then Stax is
where you want to go facts legends includes Isaac Hayes and Otis Redding
who sang one of my favorites song, Sitting on the Dock of the Bay. 4. Hit
up Beale Street all this summer until September you can experience Bike Nights
on Beale. Every Wednesday night thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts descend on the
area and you can watch them cruise by you on America's most iconic street
Honestly no matter what night you go and Beale Street it's always poppin
5. Experience live music. If you can't tell by now from this video Memphis is
all about the music and remember Brad from Rockabilly Rides? Turns out he's
also a musician so he invited me out to hear him perform live at Blues City where
he killed it. The man really knows how to work an audience y'all. 6. The Peabody
rooftop party. Beale Street isn't the only place to hit up at night. Summertime
is rooftop party season at the Peabody Hotel so if you like a good party with
live music then the Peabody is where you need to be
at on a Thursday night. 7. Stay at the Peabody. On top of throwing the best
rooftop party it's actually one of the most famous hotels in Memphis. It's a
luxury hotel with old-school charm and it's even a part of the historic hotels
of America making this more than just a hotel but an important Memphis landmark
Oh and they have this really big obsession with ducks, like really big
which brings me to number eight. Watch the Peabody ducks. You don't have to be a
hotel guest to see the number one thing that the Peabody is famous for, its daily
duck March. Meet the most pampered ducks in Tennessee. Every morning at 11 they
march down to the hotel lobby fountain where they play all day and then at
5pm they march right back on up to their rooftop palace. 9. Rent a bike.
Memphis unleashed a very new bike-share program like literally the day that I
arrived here so I'm super stoked because you guys know I like to stay
active when I travel and I'm super excited to try this out so I'm gonna
go ahead and get on one of these and take it around
They have bike stations all over the city and they're super simple to use
Okay so first things first you basically download the Bcycle app and then it's
going to ask you to login and you would tap this screen to find out the code of the
bike that you want to unlock and then you enter that code into here and it
unlocks the bike and then you can start writing it. 10. Walk to Arkansas. Did
you know that Memphis is just a hop skip and a jump away from the state of
Arkansas? Yeah you can literally walk across the big river crossing the
longest pedestrian bridge across the Mississippi River. 11. Hang out at the
Crosstown Concourse. The building was constructed in 1927 as a Sears
distribution center but then shut down in the 90s as a result of the decline in
the mail-order business. Years later it was transformed into what you see today
a mixed use vertical urban village. I came here at least twice stuff my face
and also to walk around and admire the art. 12. Walk around the Broad Avenue Arts
District. Where my art lovers at? This one's for you. It's filled with over 70
locally owned businesses like boutique shops art galleries, bars, cool stuff like
that. I was able to duck into this artsy looking bar that was literally called
the Liquor Store where I simply asked for their most Instagrammable cocktail
and voila it didn't disappoint. After grabbing a drink I walked in and out of
all these cute little shops and I swear everything just spoke to my soul like
this and this oh yeah both of these two oh yeah definitely this, although this is
me 90% of the time. 13. Explore Overton Square. Okay so welcome to Midtown
Memphis food lovers and art lovers alike are going to love this
place and you guys know if you follow me on Instagram, that t I love art and this is
where it's all at. Not only can you sign up for an art tour here you can also eat
to your heart's content at the huge variety of restaurants they have in the
area. 14. Eat good food. While we're on the topic of good restaurants can I just say
I ate so good in Memphis. While a lot of people come here ready to devour
barbecue I ended up dining at a ton of vegan and vegan friendly joints which
I'll be gushing about in a separate video that will be all about the
amazing vegan food scene in Memphis. And finally 15, visit the National Civil
Rights Museum. Gloria from the Blog Abroad wrote an amazing piece about her
experience here and it inspired me to visit as well. The museum will guide you
through five centuries of history from the beginning of the resistance during
slavery all the way to the events of the late 20th century that inspired people
all around the world to stand up for equality. Wanna see more of my travel
guides? Be sure to subscribe to my channel and don't forget to give this
video a big thumbs up you guys. Thanks for watching and I'll catch you on the
next flight.

新系列!龜龜的能源轉型導覽! The Turtles's Guide to Energy Transition - Duration: 1:25.
Recently there are some major breakthroughs
in the progress of renewables
Especially in Europe
for example
Germany's share of renewable
hit the record last year
This March Portugal
also has higher RE production
than its domestic demand
In England
The electricity generation from RE
surpassed nuclear + coal in Q1 first time
Such news are abundant
They are disrupting our understanding
towards the current status of global energy transition
In this boom
of both wind and solar
The flexibility requirement
of the power system
will be valued more and more
And related technologies
such as storage and management
will play more a key role
I have written articles previously
But I think merely words
is not enough
to concertize the concepts
So I hope in the future
I can use some films
to demonstrate some of the concepts

HONG KONG 24 Hours Travel Guide | 11 Things YOU MUST DO - Duration: 8:32.
A very good morning to you all maybe good afternoon. Good evening, depending on where you guys are.... at the moment
I am in Jordan here in Hong Kong and look the day can't be any better than this. Look at the skies. It's beautiful
No rain. Oh
wow, I mean its a blessing
to start your morning head to Jordan for the Australian dairy company
Wake yourself up with their famous scrambled egg dish and macaroni soup
So the best way to eat this obviously put your scrambled egg on top of your toast and pretty much smeared with butter. I love this
omg
It's so good... its pure bliss
All right, and just like that we're back out to the street
It's like we were there like six minutes just that building the yellow building right behind me
It's crazy the amount of people queuing right now
Stomachs filled head out to the star ferry pier for a view towards Victoria Harbour
Alright, so currently I'm in the star ferry pier
But you gotta get up to the second floor here on the platform because look at the view right behind me
It's just amazing see that and the sun's out. It's beautiful
But there's also the clock tower here, which is quite iconic and take a look
Beautiful
Next head inside the ferry terminal to board the ferry to central
But not before stopping by one of my favorite coffee joint % Arabica
So if you guys remember from Nick's Video in Kyoto
You remember there is one coffee called arabica
Here we go, it is actually in Hong Kong
because it's super hot we just got ice latte
It's a five minute journey to Central and it cost around two to four Hong Kong dollar
but the view though
Next make your way to the peak tram station
There is a few ways to get to Victoria Peak. You either can walk take a cab or take the Peak Tram itself
So there's a few ways up to the peak
One of them is to take a cab here like what I did or you can take the tram which is that sort of the tourist
Way up, but unfortunately, its so crowded
I've been told by someone that the best way to get up here if that's
over the weekend is to actually take the cab up to the peak and then when you come down you
Take the tram down for a scenic route. So here we go
All right, so I just got my ticket to get up to the top and stick it across about 52 HKD, so that's about
$10 roughly about $10 AUD
And just in case you want to spend 10 AUD
well
you can get up to about the second or third floor here in this sort of shopping malls
just above the tram station here and you
Still get quite a nice view to the city for free, but you don't get the 360 degrees view though. I mean check it out
That's not bad, right?
Next we head down back to central for the mid-level escalators
Another interesting place here in Hong Kong is the one right behind me here, which is a mid-level escalators
You know, if you've been here, you probably know that that's one a longest escalator here in the world. Its outdoor
But it's covered as well. So it's quite unique. I mean looking at it. It just spans from right here
So let's get on it and test it out
Yes, the world longest covered escalator
enjoyed the quick ride then head down to Tsim Chai Kee for lunch
This place is a Michellen recommended spot for it's good value and good taste.
I recommend ordering their wonton noodle soup and fishbowl noodle soup
one of their most popular dishes
Beautiful. So you're gonna put some chili in your noodle,
And that's gonna make a difference, right?
Now that noodle's got punch now..
lets try the fishball
Wow
Put chilli on this this just amplifies the flavor. It's already good by itself
with this beautiful .. beautiful
Just now i added to much chilli, dont do it
Its actually a punch to your gut
its churning right now, really bad
Pair this awesome lunch with an afternoon tea at Lang Fong Yuen
So now we are in Lang Fong Yuen
So this cafe very small cafe located in Central
and voted one of the best HK Milk Tea
Because we are quite full
We decided to just order 2 HK MilkTea and also this one as well
So this one is basically baked bread and then you put condensed milk on top
It's good you know the other day we tried Kam Wah
So we tried the pineapple bun and also the milk tea this Milk Tea is much better. The Tea is actually stronger
Well, I like it without sugar. So some people actually put condensed milk or sugar
personal I dont like it
The bun is really really crispy
Condensed milk, let's put it together like a like a hamburger bun, press them together and as helmi said
dip it in..
wow this is like a mix of flavour blowing inside your mouth
its a rollercoaster ride in your mouth. That's amazing
Next take an afternoon stroll around lan kwai fong best known as an expat rendezvous spot for beers and premium bars
Now as the light fades head to Wan chai for Kam's roast goose one-star Michelin restaurant
Perfectly marinated
and Into my mouth
see that fat between the skin. Oh, it's just beautiful
glistening right there
This is awesome guy, you gotta try.. try and come here
You got to queue, its a long queue but it's well worth it. We queued for about 35 minutes but man..
try this...
At 8 p.m. Watch the Symphony of Lights show around Hong Kong
End the night by heading back to Kowloon for the tallest rooftop bar in the world
ozone
We were about to head to the tallest rooftop bar here in the world
And it's actually here in Kowloon in Hong Kong on top of the Ritz Carlton Hotel on level 118. Exciting stuff
Let's go check it out
This is definitely one of my favourite places to see Victoria Harbour. It's just beautiful
And top it off with their signature cocktail Hong Kong skyline
Thank you so much you guys for watching our Hong Kong vlog..to end the trip, let's have a drink
Very smoky, but good

LOVE NIKKI DECOMPOSITION AND RECONSTRUCTION GAMEPLAY GUIDE! - Duration: 19:37.
previously I've done a decomposition video and this time I'm going to do a
decomposition and a reconstruction video just to really bring those two aspects
of the game together and I'm just gonna start off with a quick decomposition
refresher so that we know what's going on and in case some of you guys haven't
seen my previous video so let's start with this little symbol if you look
under decomposition you'll see evolvable and orange customizable and green design
material in brown and or purple I can't tell and class material in teal these
ones are going to be symbols that you might see on your items so for example
for gourds that when I just selected right now it has available customizable
and design material so this means that this particular item can be used to
evolve so let's go to here and recipe workshops and evolution we can evolve it
so gourds is here this is one of the available things the second thing you
can do is you can customize it so gourds again you can make it primary which is
brown or actually I think it was black first and then you can change it doesn't
matter so you can either make it brown or black and the third thing was that it
was part of a recipe I'm not entirely sure which recipe it's a part of right
now but the best thing you can do is go on love Nikki's info and then search
gourds and then see what type of item it built into so for example if I just
search gourds here or just gourd because it doesn't need to have the same entire
what is it called seam spelling we came to search here at the bottom over here
you can see what it crafts into and it crafts into chrysalis too and if you
really want to use it then sure you can say five of them and then make chrysalis
is tail so the problem with this one is that you don't necessarily know if it's
going to be part of a recipe in the future and it most likely will because
there's so many items in my opinion I'm just gonna assume that this is what's
going to happen and then it says that I need five so that means that as long as
I have five plus one which is a black in case I want to recolor
then I meet six chords in total so that means that technically can get rid of
the 13 chords I have right here but another thing you should take into
consideration is that these items only show up if you already have one of them
so this means that I actually have 20 gourds and that I don't actually need a
safe six but I'm gonna say five so do you get what how I got to that number so
five because I need it for the recipe craft one because I want to customize it
it's six but then I already have one that is saved for sure because you can
only decompose clothes that have more than one item so that means I already
have one in the bank no matter what so I can say that's the original so
technically I only need five I know that is like a little confusing but it does
work out in the end you can slowly like calculate all other things that you need
and just for you guys to know if you accent okay so let's say you've worked
really hard and then you ended up selecting these but you accidentally
selected an extra gourd and you're like crap I don't want to decompose the extra
gourd remember that you just can't press the minus sign on the top left in the
green and then you're back at one so don't worry about it you don't you know
we select everything back because I know it's a pain to do so another thing you
can do is just exit if you don't want to select anything and then go back to here
so the second thing I want to talk about is just the heart if you look up on the
top left there was something called lost casket and if you get a hundred energies
you can use that to unlock the casket and then it can give you specific things
like stamina it can give you diamonds it can give you started coins
it can give you even item drops from the turret lady and that's why the turret
lady is such a difficult outfit to complete it's because you have to
decompose a bunch of stuff then you need to wait for it to draw and then you need
to evolve it to an epic form so that's really hard to complete and I've only
seen like for people who've ever completed so props to them let's go to
the last thing here and it's the heart so you see that there are different
hearts for this so at the top there's like two hearts then sound of Sumer has
five hearts and then some things may even have six hearts I don't think I
have any six hearted hairs right here but that's totally fine and the reason
why there's different heart levels it's because it gives you different things so
if you press the question mark beside the decomposition sign underneath the
coins right here in pink you can just go to
this page and you can see that you can randomly get it when you decompose three
plus heart items I think that the three plus is a little misleading because if
you decompose a four heart item then you won't actually get a hope ring I think
I'm pretty sure you can't that's why people are struggling if you decompose a
sweet heart am you're probably only gonna get hope rings and then if you
decompose a four heart item then you're gonna get a rebirth ring and then
earring and then if you decompose the five heart you're going to get the
eternal necklace so if you've been waiting the rebirth earrings to drop and
you think that you should have gotten it since you keep decomposing five heart
items well you're not going to get it unless you decompose the four heart item
this might be entirely wrong but I'm pretty sure I'm right and if I'm wrong
obviously clear it up in the description box and you can scroll to the very
bottom to see how many energy points you get up to five you get six energy points
and if you're not really looking for any eternal necklaces but you probably will
if you want to reconstruct something then it's best if you just decompose
five heart items so I just wanted to quickly go through what easy items you
can get that you can just farm from maiden chapters so for an easy three
heart item you can go to four of one because this is the place where you can
get a possible two items at the same time because sometimes you can get
dropped design director and knit black boots and I don't have any because I
don't really feel the need to at the moment because I already have 1,000
items worth and you can see me decompose at the end of the video for the design
director in the black boots that gives you three hearts each so if you do it
once and you get both you kind of have to three heart items so it's really easy
to farm if you feel that I mean although the NIP black boots can be customized to
two different colors that design director can't be customizable and it's
also not used to craft any other items so it's really useful to get these ones
so you don't feel like you're actually wasting items that you could have been
possibly using to construct something and it's also a made in Chapter so not
only do you get to spend for stamina it you can just do it the entire day
because there's no limit cap of how many tries you do I made it unlike princess
which you can only get three pictures a day another stage you can go to is seven
seven meted and this one gives you a three and a four heart item so let's go
to seven seven this one so Lance like brown and silent Rose so although
lamp-wick brown is needed to craft instant internat II and let of truth and
you need 30 and seven so you need 37 of those in total and then you can also
customize it to two different colors which isn't lamp with neon and lamp like
black so that's a total of another two so that would be 39 you can use this
lamp look Brown to decompose because this will give you three hearts again
but at the same time it's also gonna possibly drop some Rose so silent Rose
is a four heart item you do need it to craft camouflage coat maple leaf coat
elfs head where miss forest and textile leggings which is 22
coats you need in total at the very base if you were planning to craft any of
these you can use both of these drops to farm for things you needed to decompose
because if you think about it you definitely get the three hearts but you
also get a four heart so if you're looking to craft something that needs
like the necklaces as well then it's good to use the stage to farm another
stage I want to talk about is the one where it drops camellia because camellia
is a five star item and it's from a maiden chapter so let's quickly search
camellia and you can go to eight five meet and for this one this one is an S
drop so it's a little harder to get but it's a five star item so obviously it's
more worth it it's also a top item so it's great to just have that in general
and it's used to cut for other items called blue and white shoes knotting
culture cross pendant and vintage lady cap so all four of these items need a
required 1616 camellia branches in total if you're planning to craft it but if
you don't care you can just scored these branches and then you can just decompose
them in the end since these items that I've shown you
both of them are customizable or evolvable won't be automatically
selected if you use this option in the decomposition so if you look underneath
the quest material you see a circle that says select extra clothes so if I select
it these are all the things that it selects that don't have the evolvable
trait the customizable trait the design which illustrate in the quest material
trade so this is a great because technically if they don't have any of
these traits then they're useless you can't do anything with them you can't
craft them obviously you can't like make it into a different color so it's
so if you just decomposed it the last things I want to talk about is 93's
princess basically this one will give you 2's drops and then both of these
items are four hearts each so if you're really looking to make an eternal
necklace and you're like short on time or whatever you can just use this as
well if you are tired of just trying to wait for the meeting job but just know
that as drops are much harder to get and you need to get an s-rank in this
particular chapter stage in order to even be eligible to get the estra now
that's over we can look at the things that you can buy from the shop because
the shop always has different things that you can buy for coins and then you
can use that to decompose my favorite thing to get is either the northern
soldier or the peach sweetheart because they are both five heart items obviously
the northern soldier is not as worth it to get because it's 5000 coins and then
the peach sweetheart is only 3000 coins you're never going to be in a situation
where you think that oh if I buy like ten peach sweethearts in one northern
soldier it's going to be more worth it because any situation it will be peach
sweetheart would be the best option to get the next thing you can get is red
fruit which is this one it's five thousand coins the thing with this one
is that as long as you have a VIP or actually at six thousand I only have
five thousand because I'm VIP six if you have a VIP level these ones are all
going to be discounted for you and it's great that red fruit is discounted but
I'm never actually going to go and buy this one unless I have to the only
reason why I would buy it at least once is to get the item since I don't have
any right now I'm just gonna stick with peach sweetheart since it's the cheapest
one and I get five hearts and especially if I don't want to wait for any drops
and waste my stamina you can see that purple bowtie over here
is only 2500 gold and there's also this other one you can think about getting
its 2600 but like why would you buy a little deductive when you can just buy
purple bowtie and now it's like a hundred coins apart but if you buy ten
of them you're just gonna lose one thousand coins for no reason right so
I'm just gonna stick with purple bowtie if I ever need to buy a four heart item
with coins and the last thing I want to show you is snow pom-pom right here this
is the only one I really want to show you because you can get three hearts
from this and it's eight hundred eight and it's eight hundred coins so these
are the items you can think about I scoured the rest of this and there's an
actually not much cheaper items you can get those ones are the best things you
should go for it if you want to buy any items for decomposition and I think that
covers most of this and I can just put this in action I've been waiting to do
this video for the longest time because I wanted to collect at least 1,000 items
and then it would be kind of a mass decomposition video so right now if I
used to select extra clothing I only have 767 but I recorded a bunch of this
stupid apricot leaf dress and then I have nearly 200 of that so I'm just
gonna a select all and by the way a quick tip is that you can just hold it
and it's Alexa for you I might just go over 1000 and I'm just gonna see what
else I can do I also collected a lot of ice warrior I know where you actually
need ice warrior for a lot of different item crafts so for example you need ice
warrior for at least 14 different items I know you need at least 25 ice warriors
to make white wind which is part of the Snow Queen lady or whatever but I don't
care actually if I have more time I would really just go through every
single one of these and just check whether I need or not for example
remember how I said I need at least 7 gourds to or 6 to make whatever I needed
so I'm just gonna go ahead and start with this I don't need what I'm actually
doing is that I'm love Nikki's info and then I'm searching each of the different
items that I have it's because right now I just have a bunch of time and I have
nothing to do and I'm searching elegant tunable Matic for example and I see that
it's needed to craft six different items and that's a total of 21 there's also
two different customizations I could do so I'm not going to use elegance
gentleman and I'm really just looking at things I have a lot of
if I go to transfer student at Brown I can see that six items at least need
this to make and then it can have one different we customization better you
have that so that makes it a total of 22 because although there's six items
already crafted two of those I mean 22 of these that means I can just like get
rid of 46 of this so I think I'm going to get rid of 58 of this as for cloudy
day I only need 12 of it maximum so I'm just gonna get rid of 32 in this at the
end of the world if I overshoot because I can just get these from any of the
meet in levels again so I don't really care and I'm just gonna keep adding on
and you guys can see how I slowly do this
okay I'm legitimately bored of doing this I don't think I'm gonna do it a hit
mm maybe I just did 2018 because that's a year yeah I made it meaningful great
decomposed 2018 items in 2018 Wow magical great so I'm just gonna press
decompose right now Thank You Rico confirm so I got 32 lost caskets from
that I have so many this here we go 299 hope rings three thousand three hundred
three hundred thousand gold sixty two eternal necklaces 133 star coins 15
rebirth earrings and no stamp over my memory I was scared for a second because
I'm lose my stamina and gold it's in the last casket eight diamond oh okay well
I'm not gonna add that up maybe I'll just see how many diamonds I have so I
had five 1510 diamonds let's see how many I get at the end Tara card is
always a great thing so I already have all of these in like I need these to
make the turret lady I don't think I can make any at the end of the day because
you just need so many turret ladies so it doesn't matter to me anymore and I
only get one guy that's actually so sneak 15 diamonds well that's nice
twelve diamonds so that's already 30 diamonds I got from this I'm actually
not even mad that I'm getting dies cuz I really need dies anyway so it's great oh
I got a lately gained by the way I didn't notice so there was that it was
pretty good actually let's see if I can customize and not not customize let's
see if I can evolve any parts of the territories since you know I have got a
bunch especially the hair I'm hoping that I can at least get the hair
I mean like one more so do you see how hard this is out of 2,000 you still
don't have enough terribly I'm pretty sure I had one to begin with and you
need at least like 20 of them let's see how many turret ladies you need so we go
here we can go to Moe's guide you need at least 16 more of the hair so mm you
get around like four hairs and then that's over 10,000 items you need to
decompose and you might not even get all the hairs at the same time that's a
little misleading because you can just decompose a lot of five hard items in
order to get more energy points and then you can get more chances to get the
turret lathe but you know what like at the end of the day it's still really
hard to get and if you're going for that like good on you that's crazy
enough of that decomposition we can go to a reconstruction now because I
finally have a lot of these earrings and the necklaces so I think I might even be
able to finish the superstar let's check it out so I need the hair the socks and
I am just gonna do it over here so I make sure I don't overshoot oh I can
finish the suit today so I was so confused because I'm like what's going
on I don't have any of these yet so I can just make this but how many do I
need go craft maybe five of them so I'm gonna get four more two and I have so
many coins just from that decomposition things so it's like perfect I thank God
I only need like the first part of it because if I needed the extra part of it
then the rare what the epic would have been crazy
I can't make any more of these uh it's because I need more earring okay see
that's so bad because I assumed that I could finish all of it today that I
can't and even after he composing so many of these items I'm not even close
to being done with this because in total I need 32 more earrings and in order to
get earrings I need at least four heart items so that's a pain in the butt since
I don't want to decompose any of these four heart items yet how can we compose
this one but it's not going to make a difference anyways you know I'm saying
oh whoa and I didn't even get earrings so I'm just gonna ignore that well
anyways you can make a lot of these reconstruction and there are different
outfits that require with instructions or they're just full outfits that are
reconstructed only so you can just maybe check out your wardrobe see what extra
things you have because you might have a lot more extra clothes than you think
and you can just you know finish an outfit here and there and it'd be easy
diamond yeah so you get third Oh so you get 30 diamonds actually and you know
it's easy you're not really losing anything you get coins back diamonds
back I think we got so I'm gonna back a lot of dyes and it's you know it's just
part of the game so if you're interested in it tell me what you're gonna craft
and I'll talk to you guys later thanks for watching

20 Things to do in Florence, Italy Travel Guide - Duration: 14:16.
Florence: when it comes to Renaissance art, there's probably no better city in the world
to soak it all in!
Our time here was spent viewing works by Italian masters both in museums and public spaces,
marvelling at the architecture - in particular Florence Cathedral and its massive dome, going
in search of the best lookout points, and in true Italian spirit, eating plenty of pizza
and gelato.
In this video we're going to share with you some of the best things to do in Florence
(Firenze) on your visit, so let's get started!
I'm quickly going to tell you the plan for today.
Basically we left our apartment at 7:45 in the morning which is pretty early especially
for me.
But that is because we wanted to be here at the duomo by 8 in the morning to get in line
so that we can visit both the Bell Tower and the Dome on top of the Church.
We saw the lines yesterday and they were wrapping around the whole building.
It was crazy how many people were here.
So we've come early before they even open the doors.
Sam and his family are already standing in line and the ticketing booth should open in
like 15 more minutes.
So yeah that is the plan.
We're going to get some amazing views of Florence today.
Speaking of tickets, we paid 15 Euros per person for a ticket that gave us access to
5 attractions associated with Florence Cathedral (Il Duomo di Firenze).
These included: the bell tower, the baptistry, Museum of the Works of the Cathedral, the
crypt, and the dome itself which also requires making a reservation for a specified time
slot.
But right now, let's begin with the bell tower.
(Stepping noises)
So we are climbing.
So far so good.
I would say the staircase isn't quite as narrow as some other Bell Towers we've climbed so
yeah but oh man it is steep though.
Oh man it is steep.
And we are the very first people in this morning.
Woah.
Also known as Giotto's Campanile, the bell tower stands 84.7 metres tall and it's 414
steps to the top.
The good thing is that there are a few floors in between, meaning you can take a break along
the way and enjoy the views as you slowly make your way up.
After climbing the bell tower, we made our way over to our next attraction: the Baptistry.
Known as both the Florence Baptistry (Battistero di San Giovanni) and the Baptistry of Saint
John, this octagonal structure is a sight to behold!
The interior is dimly lit, but this only makes your eyes travel up and admire the glowing
mosaic ceiling.
There are even a few benches inside the Baptistry if you feel like sitting down and soaking
it all in.
From there, we continued to Museo dell'Opera del Duomo, which is a museum dedicated to
conserving artworks relating to Florence Cathedral and the Baptistry.
One of the main artworks inside this museum are the original Gates of Paradise from the
Baptistry which were recently restored.
Next, we went inside Florence Cathedral, and took the stairs down to the crypt to see the
ruins of the former cathedral which once stood here: Santa Reparata.
(Beep noise)
And last but not least, it was time to do the final activity on our pass: climb the
dome of Florence Cathedral, which to this day remains the largest brick dome ever constructed.
If you're willing to brave tight passages and narrow staircases, you will be rewarded
with panoramic views of Florence (Firenze) as far as the eye can see.
And now that we have gone up the dome and come back again we have stopped at a gelato
shop because I feel like we deserve a little treat.
Woah.
That is awesome.
Haha.
We ate our gelato at Grom since it was located right around the corner from our apartment
and it was seriously some of the best gelato we had in Italy!
Okay we've got our gelato.
Let's talk about flavors here.
I got the grand cone.
I love this it has got chocolate around the rim with nuts.
And I got pistachio and caramel.
It looks good.
I've had a couple of bites.
It is so good.
Mmmm.
As for me I went for the mango here.
Oh my gosh.
Looking good.
Delish.
Alright guys so this morning we are visiting the Uffizi Gallery which would be the most
famous art gallery in all of Florence (Firenze).
And I have to say the artwork is impressive but also the ceilings.
Check this out.
The Uffizi Gallery is considered one of the best museums in the world focusing on the
Italian Renaissance.
Most of the art collection you see today was gifted to the city of Florence by Anna Maria
Luisa, the last Medici heiress, before the ruling house of Medici died out.
Another cool thing about the Uffizi Gallery is that you get some pretty cool views of
Ponte Vecchio and the Arno River from a higher vantage point.
Okay so we just finished visiting the Uffizi Gallery (Galleria degli Uffizi) and now it
is time for one of the biggest tips for your time in Florence.
Well the biggest tip is every single day you should wake up early and go to one of the
major museums or attractions because if you get in line right before it opens.
Yes.
You're going to be the first in.
You're going to get your ticket quickly and you're also going to be able to enjoy the
place without all of the crowds.
Without the crowds.
This was incredible.
This was by far the biggest museum that we've visited here.
Yeah.
And we had sections like almost to ourselves.
Mmmhmm.
And I've seen video of what it looks like let's say in the peak season in the summer.
During the middle of the day.
Oh yeah.
It looks insane.
So for us to be able to have that kind of experience here was quite impressive.
Yes.
Oh and I should mention the price.
It was 8 Euros per person.
Mmmhmm.
And um you can book it online in advance and pay an additional 4 Euros and you get a specified
time and then you skip the lines.
But to be honest if you're visiting in the off-season like us and you're here first thing
in the morning the line isn't bad at all.
Yeah.
Like we were right near the front.
And we arrived like what five or ten minutes before it opened.
Exactly.
So that was awesome.
Alright guys.
So we are back at the apartment for lunch.
We were out sightseeing all morning and we've worked up a bit of an appetite.
So we went to this local pizza place that we've been to now 4 times.
Yeah.
In 4 days.
This is basically we haven't been cooking as much.
Tada.
Look at that.
So yeah this place is called Pizzeria Toto.
They make really good pizzas and today we got the Napoli.
Yeah.
With tomato sauce, mozzarella, anchovies, capers.
Did I say oregano already?
Nope.
Um so yeah it looks pretty good.
It only came to 21 Euros and you can get some even cheaper ones.
If you just get mozzarella only it is 18 Euros.
Yeah.
So yeah.
It is pretty good for 4 people.
And we got Nutella calzones.
Calzones.
So yeah this is going to be our dessert.
But now let's dig in.
Another place we visited in Florence was Piazza della Signoria, an L-shaped square right in
the heart of the city.
One of the main landmarks in this square is Palazzo Vecchio or the Town Hall.
And just to the right of this building, you have the Loggia dei Lanzi, an open gallery,
where you can view many marble and bronze statues - kind of like a taster of what's
to come inside Florence's art galleries.
So we are currently visiting Piazza dei lanzi.
Yeah.
What do you think so far?
Well, I think it is pretty impressive.
There is a lot of sculptures to visit.
It is basically a bit like an outdoor museum.
Yes.
And we got here early in the morning and it is already starting to get crowded in this
square so my tip would be to come early for sure.
And also if you come here you can see a copy of the famous statue of David by Michelangelo.
Yep.
And the original is housed in a museum you know because David would get a little cold
out here.
Haha.
But yeah we're going to show you the replica and hopefully we'll see the real deal.
Exactly.
Somewhere during our visit.
Exactly.
And speaking of David, we did find him, over at Galleria dell'Accademia (Galleria dell'Accademia
di Firenze).
This gallery houses sculptures and paintings from the 1300s to 1600s, but most people are
here to see one guy.
Alright so this morning we are inside Galleria Accademia.
Who are we visiting?
The real David.
The real David.
Over there.
Michelangelo's David depicts the Biblical David carved out of a single block of marble.
Originally, this statue was commissioned to adorn the roofline of the Cathedral, however,
upon its completion, Michelangelo's patrons found the statue so beautiful that they decided
to place it where it could be admired up close.
So we are now inside a gallery where it is all busts and sculptures made out of plaster.
All of these different studies.
It is so cool.
We have found our favorite sculpture so far.
Yours.
Boy with dog.
That is your favorite sculpture.
Okay fine.
I'm waiting for boy with cat.
Boy with cat.
Yes.
Let's see.
Boy with cat in here.
Where are we now?
We've made it to the river.
It is not far from our apartment at all.
The Arno River.
Yeah, we're going to be crossing the Ponte Vecchio bridge right now.
Yes, which just means the old bridge.
The old bridge.
It is pretty cool if you can see it over there.
It is a covered bridge and apparently a lot of the buildings you see there are jewelry
shops and this is a tradition that dates back from the days of Medici.
So a long time.
Though today you see rows of jewelry shops, Ponte Vecchio was once lined with butcher
shops who would toss unwanted leftovers into the river.
It was during the 16th century that one of the Medici ordered for the butcher shops to
be replaced with jewellers, and that's a tradition we see to this day.
When it comes to catching sunset in Florence, there are no better views than from Piazzale
Michelangelo.
This square sits on on a hill just south of the historic center on the other side of the
Arno River.
Even though it was looking like a pretty grey day, the sun burst through the clouds and
we had a magical sunset.
Now let's talk food and take a trip to the Central Market!
This indoor market is foodie central and we ended up visiting on more than once occasion.
The second floor of the market is filled with eateries where you can sample delicious italian
dishes.
Here's a little taste of what we got up to.
This is called Trapezio and it looks amazing.
Basically this is pizza dough in the form of a triangle and then it has been stuffed
with a filling so yeah I'm just going to dig right in now.
How is it?
Is it good?
It is so tasty.
So tasty.
Especially with the pesto on top and the cheese.
Man they had some good looking gelato and it was hard to choose but when I saw the rum
and raisins there were so many raisins coated over this.
Yeah.
I was like I've got to get rum and raisin.
And this one is called Malaga.
I'm going to try it here with the little wafer cookie.
You can already see that I'm getting a raisin on here.
Oh!
Mmmm.
Oh wow.
Wow.
That is delicious.
Oh and the delayed onset of the rum.
Oh my goodness.
However, if you're looking for a low-key meal at home, the Central Market is a great
place to pick up ingredients to bring back to your kitchen.
We bought some fresh ravioli and pesto that we prepared back in the apartment.
Check out this hunk of cheese.
Is it the first time we've done that.
Is it the first time we've got a proper block of parmesan.
It looks so good.
Because before we had just got it pre-grated.
This is so good.
This is the real deal.
And you can even see the name.
This is like from a real cheese wheel.
Parmigiano Reggiano.
Oh yeah.
It is time for the plating of the meal.
Our meal is ready.
Followed by the eating.
Oh ho ho.
Two different colors.
Two different colors.
Pesto sauce.
What should we do vegetables on top or on the side?
Let's put them on the side.
On the side.
Veggies and meat on the side.
Yes.
Yep.
The pasta is Italian, the side vegetables I feel like it is our own creation.
Haha.
This is a hodgepodge of a whole bunch of different ingredients.
Italians would be offended if they saw this.
Probably I've gotta say guys it tastes good so that is all we're say.
And the Parmigiano-Reggiano.
The best part.
Oh la lah.
Oh la lah.
It is done.
And that's a wrap for our visit!
As always we hope you enjoyed this travel guide and that it gave you a few ideas of
things to do in Florence on your own visit.

RHA MA390 Universal vs Beyerdynamic Byron: Comparison & Buying Guide - Duration: 4:05.
Hi Guys! This is Raghav here from
Headphone Zone.
So one of the questions i get
asked literally a couple 100 times
everyday, is what is the best in-ear earphones
you can get right now for less than ₹2,000.
So, i thought i do this quick video today
with two of my favourite entry level in-ears
the RHA MA390 U and the Beyerdynamic Byron
They both are outstanding earphones
and they both are around the ₹2,000 price point.
Now, both of them are in my opinion
absolutely perfect as a recommendation,
but there are subtle differences between the
two which I think will help you
choose which are the right ones for you.
In-terms of design, while both the earphones
are reasonably well built,
the RHA 390 U comes with an aircraft grade aluminium
earphone housing
its very very well designed and meant to last a long time.
The cable is also pretty durable because
it uses a fabric cable at least for the bottom half of the cable
which means that they are not gonna tear very easily.
The Beyerdynamic Byron on the other hand
has a plastic earphone housing, its a toughened plastic
but, i certainly not durable as the RHA.
The cables also much thinner cable as compared to the RHA's cable
and its made out of entirely of plastic.
So if you're a rough user of your earphones,
I'd definitely recommend the RHA
as a more durable option as compared to the Beyerdynamic.
You'll also find that the RHA comes with an outstanding
3 year warranty, you're not gonna find that
on any other earphone at this price category certainly.
The Beyerdynamic is not as well built
but it has a 2 year warranty as well
so if something goes wrong, they'll be swapped out for you
and fixed.
Both these earphones are designed to be used
along with your mobile phones while on the go.
So you'll find that the RHA 390 U comes along with
a single button mic and remote controller
which is universally compatible with
all Android and IOS devices out there.
The Beyerdynamic Byron has a slightly different approach,
It comes with a 3-button mic, so you have a
volume rocker as well, but its only compatible
with Android phones, so if you're an IOS user
you'll probably not find that the Beyerdynamic Byron
is very suitable for your phone.
Here's the one that I think should matter the most to you
which is the sound.
Now, at this price category, do not be impressed by a earphone
just because it turns up the bass
and gives you that extra bass feel in the sound.
Its just a very common tactic that is used
by audio manufacturers to hide a very very
ordinary sounding headphone.
Both the Beyerdynamic Byron and the RHA MA390 U
are outstanding earphones
there's no certain increase the bass
and hide the rest strategy happening in these earphones
but there are subtle differences in the sound signature
between both of them.
Beyerdynamic Byron is flat,
you'll find that while the bass and the treble is there
nothing is exaggerated in the sound
so if you're somebody who comes from an audiophile
grade earphone and know what good sound
could sound like, you should be very impressed
with the Beyerdynamic Byron.
The RHA MA390 U on the other hand
certainly has the bass turned up a little bit
and the treble turned up a little bit.
Don't get me wrong, there's ample amount of detailing
and you'll find that there are very good sounding earphones
as compared to everybody else out there.
If you are buying your very first earphones
or your very first serious earphones,
you're more likely to be impressed by the bass
on the RHA MA390 U
you'll probably find that missing in the Beyerdynamic Byron.
So I think that's probably the single most important
factor to consider while choosing these earphones.
If you're somebody whose expecting a lot of bass
but don't wanna compromise on the quality,
the RHA 390 U is the one to go for.
If you're somebody who wants a very reference grade,
flat sound signature, no bass and treble exaggeration at all,
the Beyerdynamic Byron should make you happier.
If you're a rough user of your earphones, certainly you'd buy the
RHA MA390 U, they are lot more durable
will last you for 3 years.
If you're somebody who has an IOS device,
the Beyerdynamic Byron won't work along
with your phone, so you know which one to pick.
Alright guys!
I think that was a quick video telling you about
both these earphones
can't go wrong with either of them
they're great earphones.
Thank you so much for your time,
I hope this was useful.

A Resource for Writing Poetry A Guide to Stops in Punctuation - Duration: 4:15.
Hello everyone, today's resource for Writing Poetry will focus on a Guide to
Stops in Punctuation. So the first question is: What is punctuation?
Punctuation, these are symbols that group or separate units of meaning. They help
the poet create and change the pace of a line or sentence. Poets can work with or
against conventions. So what this means is that in your writing, you can make
choices, meaningful choices driven by your intentions. So let's look at the
stops. And we'll start with the four main stops, which are period, colon, semi-colon,
and comma. These move from the strongest type of stop to the lightest
or weakest type of stop. So let's first begin with the period. So
the period is the strongest stop; it's confined to the end of a sentence; it
defines units of information, whether it's argument or emotion; and it
indicates a complete idea. It has three parts: the period, the space, and the
capital letter. The next type of stop is the colon, and the colon is an
intermediate stop. It marks different sections of an idea, and it precedes a
list of parallel ideas, words, phrases, or clauses. You usually see it preceding a
list. The next stop is the semi-colon, and the semi-colon is stronger than a
comma, which is coming up next, but not as strong as a colon or a period. It links
ideas that are related but not parallel to one another, so typically one of the
conventions in English grammar is that a semi-colon can join together two
independent clauses whose ideas are related to one another. The
final main stop is the comma. It's the lightest stop of all,
and it marks a breathing pause for reading aloud. So think about the places
in your poetry where you would want your reader to pause, to take a break. The
next set of stops that we look at are interrogation and exclamation.
Interrogation sometimes known as
question marks, and then there's exclamation. With interrogation, it
causes a contemplative pause; it asks your reader to consider what has been
written. It also can undermine what is being said,
so then there are other ways for your reader to think about what you have
written. But the exclamation mark, it raises a lot
of strong emotions, and it can be cheesy, so you want to be really careful
with choosing this in your writing. So in all I want you to consider all of the
stops that we just covered: the period, the colon, the semi-colon, the comma, the
interrogation or question mark, or the exclamation mark. In considering them, I
hope that you make more intentional choices in creating meaning through the
use of punctuation.

Wimbledon predictions Vicki Hodges, The Daily Telegraph - Madison Keys: "Analysing the numbers from the last 15 years we have a player who pretty much ticks all the boxes
So here goes. Take a bow… Madison Keys. The 23-year-old matches the average age of a Wimbledon champion [when you take the Williams sisters out of the equatation]
She's the 10th seed for the tournament [which is in and around the average ranking of past champions], she's a right-hander and she's flying the stars and stripes of the American flag so surely it's a win-win?" Chitrabhanu Kadalayil, The National - Marin Cilic: "If he can keep it together and learn from his recent experiences, he will win
His game is built for grass, as he serves and moves around the court better than most, but he needs to keep himself injury-free
" Jon Turner, The National - Roger Federer: "Sometimes it's best not to over complicate these things: the favourites are favourites for a reason, and when it comes to Wimbledon and Roger Federer, that tag has been justified far more often than not
Don't expect that to change this year as Federer secures title number nine. The Swiss world No
2 is more prepared than any of his rivals, both in terms of freshness and grass court familiarity, having once again opted to miss the entire clay court swing
" Tim Henman, BBC Sport: "I think Roger [Federer] and Rafa [Nadal] are the clear favourites if they are fit and healthy
In the next group, you could list a whole host of players. You would put [Novak] Djokovic there, you could put Milos Raonic if he is injury-free
" The Roar - Serena Williams: "Currently ranked 183rd in the world, this would be the lowest ranking she's held if she were to salute, 102 places lower than when she won the Australian Open in 2007 while ranked 81st in the world
The question is, does she have what it takes? Prediction: Huge call, but… champion
