If you thought Memphis was only known for Elvis and barbecue, guess again. This

is a place that mixes historic charm with a modern mentality. There's

something for everyone here, even vegans. Here my top 15 favorite things to do in

the city of Memphis. Welcome to M town, Memphis, Tennessee.

Hey! Hey! 1. Cruise around Memphis in style with rockabilly rides. I pretty much felt

like a celebrity in his dreamy 1955 Plymouth Belvedere. Okay hello apparently

this is my ride for the tour. We got so many looks and for good reasons, I mean

just look at this bad boy. This tour will make you feel like you're going back

into time as you explore the rich musical past of Memphis. They offer

several private experiences but I did the Red Hot & Blue tour which let me

relive the early days of Elvis before and during his rise to fame. 2. Visit the

legendary Sun Studio. Now this place has the claim of being the birthplace of

rock and roll. You'll stand in the same place where music legends like Elvis, BB

King and John Cash recorded some major hits. They do 45-minute tours every day

between the hours of 10:00 and 6:00

3. Go to the Stax Museum of American Soul. Now if you want to experience the

studio that's pretty much synonymous with southern soul music then Stax is

where you want to go facts legends includes Isaac Hayes and Otis Redding

who sang one of my favorites song, Sitting on the Dock of the Bay. 4. Hit

up Beale Street all this summer until September you can experience Bike Nights

on Beale. Every Wednesday night thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts descend on the

area and you can watch them cruise by you on America's most iconic street

Honestly no matter what night you go and Beale Street it's always poppin

5. Experience live music. If you can't tell by now from this video Memphis is

all about the music and remember Brad from Rockabilly Rides? Turns out he's

also a musician so he invited me out to hear him perform live at Blues City where

he killed it. The man really knows how to work an audience y'all. 6. The Peabody

rooftop party. Beale Street isn't the only place to hit up at night. Summertime

is rooftop party season at the Peabody Hotel so if you like a good party with

live music then the Peabody is where you need to be

at on a Thursday night. 7. Stay at the Peabody. On top of throwing the best

rooftop party it's actually one of the most famous hotels in Memphis. It's a

luxury hotel with old-school charm and it's even a part of the historic hotels

of America making this more than just a hotel but an important Memphis landmark

Oh and they have this really big obsession with ducks, like really big

which brings me to number eight. Watch the Peabody ducks. You don't have to be a

hotel guest to see the number one thing that the Peabody is famous for, its daily

duck March. Meet the most pampered ducks in Tennessee. Every morning at 11 they

march down to the hotel lobby fountain where they play all day and then at

5pm they march right back on up to their rooftop palace. 9. Rent a bike.

Memphis unleashed a very new bike-share program like literally the day that I

arrived here so I'm super stoked because you guys know I like to stay

active when I travel and I'm super excited to try this out so I'm gonna

go ahead and get on one of these and take it around

They have bike stations all over the city and they're super simple to use

Okay so first things first you basically download the Bcycle app and then it's

going to ask you to login and you would tap this screen to find out the code of the

bike that you want to unlock and then you enter that code into here and it

unlocks the bike and then you can start writing it. 10. Walk to Arkansas. Did

you know that Memphis is just a hop skip and a jump away from the state of

Arkansas? Yeah you can literally walk across the big river crossing the

longest pedestrian bridge across the Mississippi River. 11. Hang out at the

Crosstown Concourse. The building was constructed in 1927 as a Sears

distribution center but then shut down in the 90s as a result of the decline in

the mail-order business. Years later it was transformed into what you see today

a mixed use vertical urban village. I came here at least twice stuff my face

and also to walk around and admire the art. 12. Walk around the Broad Avenue Arts

District. Where my art lovers at? This one's for you. It's filled with over 70

locally owned businesses like boutique shops art galleries, bars, cool stuff like

that. I was able to duck into this artsy looking bar that was literally called

the Liquor Store where I simply asked for their most Instagrammable cocktail

and voila it didn't disappoint. After grabbing a drink I walked in and out of

all these cute little shops and I swear everything just spoke to my soul like

this and this oh yeah both of these two oh yeah definitely this, although this is

me 90% of the time. 13. Explore Overton Square. Okay so welcome to Midtown

Memphis food lovers and art lovers alike are going to love this

place and you guys know if you follow me on Instagram, that t I love art and this is

where it's all at. Not only can you sign up for an art tour here you can also eat

to your heart's content at the huge variety of restaurants they have in the

area. 14. Eat good food. While we're on the topic of good restaurants can I just say

I ate so good in Memphis. While a lot of people come here ready to devour

barbecue I ended up dining at a ton of vegan and vegan friendly joints which

I'll be gushing about in a separate video that will be all about the

amazing vegan food scene in Memphis. And finally 15, visit the National Civil

Rights Museum. Gloria from the Blog Abroad wrote an amazing piece about her

experience here and it inspired me to visit as well. The museum will guide you

through five centuries of history from the beginning of the resistance during

slavery all the way to the events of the late 20th century that inspired people

all around the world to stand up for equality. Wanna see more of my travel

guides? Be sure to subscribe to my channel and don't forget to give this

video a big thumbs up you guys. Thanks for watching and I'll catch you on the

next flight.

新系列!龜龜的能源轉型導覽! The Turtles's Guide to Energy Transition - Duration: 1:25.

Recently there are some major breakthroughs

in the progress of renewables

Especially in Europe

for example

Germany's share of renewable

hit the record last year

This March Portugal

also has higher RE production

than its domestic demand

In England

The electricity generation from RE

surpassed nuclear + coal in Q1 first time

Such news are abundant

They are disrupting our understanding

towards the current status of global energy transition

In this boom

of both wind and solar

The flexibility requirement

of the power system

will be valued more and more

And related technologies

such as storage and management

will play more a key role

I have written articles previously

But I think merely words

is not enough

to concertize the concepts

So I hope in the future

I can use some films

to demonstrate some of the concepts

Greetings and welcome to 90 second hero guide featuring Rajin Thunderkeg, the Storm Spirit.

Storm Spirit is a ranged intelligence hero wielding elemental power of lightning.

His Q: Static Remnant, creates an explosive image of storm spirit that detoantes and deals

damage if enemiy unit comes nearby.

Image lasts 12 seconds.

His W: Electric Vortex, summons electric vortex that pulls an enemy to Storm Spirit's location

while slowing him by 50% for 3 seconds.

His E: Overload, creates an electrical charge after casting a spell that empowers next attack

to deal increased damge and slow nearby enemies.

His Ultimate: Ball Lightning, allows Storm Spirit to reposition around battlefield quickly,

at the expense of his mana pool per distance travelled.

(info: activation: 30+8%, 12+0.7% / 100 units, 8/12/16 dmg/unit)

Storm Spirit's mobility after hitting level 6 allows him to initiate or follow from safe

range focusing important enemy targets.

Power Treads, Kaya and Bloodstone increase his mobility even further with more mana regen

and mana cost reduction along with orchid malevolence and scythe of vyse to disable

enemy threats.

Situational items are Black King Bar, Linken's Sphere, Octarine Core, Shiva's Guard and Dagon.

High mobility and burst damage allow Storm Spirit to quickly enter and exit fights however

be vary of enemies with silences and strong disables.

This is the talent tree I use, however feel free to modify it, if it would suit your playstyle

better.

And that's all for this guide.

RHA MA390 Universal vs Beyerdynamic Byron: Comparison & Buying Guide - Duration: 4:05.

Hi Guys! This is Raghav here from

Headphone Zone.

So one of the questions i get

asked literally a couple 100 times

everyday, is what is the best in-ear earphones

you can get right now for less than ₹2,000.

So, i thought i do this quick video today

with two of my favourite entry level in-ears

the RHA MA390 U and the Beyerdynamic Byron

They both are outstanding earphones

and they both are around the ₹2,000 price point.

Now, both of them are in my opinion

absolutely perfect as a recommendation,

but there are subtle differences between the

two which I think will help you

choose which are the right ones for you.

In-terms of design, while both the earphones

are reasonably well built,

the RHA 390 U comes with an aircraft grade aluminium

earphone housing

its very very well designed and meant to last a long time.

The cable is also pretty durable because

it uses a fabric cable at least for the bottom half of the cable

which means that they are not gonna tear very easily.

The Beyerdynamic Byron on the other hand

has a plastic earphone housing, its a toughened plastic

but, i certainly not durable as the RHA.

The cables also much thinner cable as compared to the RHA's cable

and its made out of entirely of plastic.

So if you're a rough user of your earphones,

I'd definitely recommend the RHA

as a more durable option as compared to the Beyerdynamic.

You'll also find that the RHA comes with an outstanding

3 year warranty, you're not gonna find that

on any other earphone at this price category certainly.

The Beyerdynamic is not as well built

but it has a 2 year warranty as well

so if something goes wrong, they'll be swapped out for you

and fixed.

Both these earphones are designed to be used

along with your mobile phones while on the go.

So you'll find that the RHA 390 U comes along with

a single button mic and remote controller

which is universally compatible with

all Android and IOS devices out there.

The Beyerdynamic Byron has a slightly different approach,

It comes with a 3-button mic, so you have a

volume rocker as well, but its only compatible

with Android phones, so if you're an IOS user

you'll probably not find that the Beyerdynamic Byron

is very suitable for your phone.

Here's the one that I think should matter the most to you

which is the sound.

Now, at this price category, do not be impressed by a earphone

just because it turns up the bass

and gives you that extra bass feel in the sound.

Its just a very common tactic that is used

by audio manufacturers to hide a very very

ordinary sounding headphone.

Both the Beyerdynamic Byron and the RHA MA390 U

are outstanding earphones

there's no certain increase the bass

and hide the rest strategy happening in these earphones

but there are subtle differences in the sound signature

between both of them.

Beyerdynamic Byron is flat,

you'll find that while the bass and the treble is there

nothing is exaggerated in the sound

so if you're somebody who comes from an audiophile

grade earphone and know what good sound

could sound like, you should be very impressed

with the Beyerdynamic Byron.

The RHA MA390 U on the other hand

certainly has the bass turned up a little bit

and the treble turned up a little bit.

Don't get me wrong, there's ample amount of detailing

and you'll find that there are very good sounding earphones

as compared to everybody else out there.

If you are buying your very first earphones

or your very first serious earphones,

you're more likely to be impressed by the bass

on the RHA MA390 U

you'll probably find that missing in the Beyerdynamic Byron.

So I think that's probably the single most important

factor to consider while choosing these earphones.

If you're somebody whose expecting a lot of bass

but don't wanna compromise on the quality,

the RHA 390 U is the one to go for.

If you're somebody who wants a very reference grade,

flat sound signature, no bass and treble exaggeration at all,

the Beyerdynamic Byron should make you happier.

If you're a rough user of your earphones, certainly you'd buy the

RHA MA390 U, they are lot more durable

will last you for 3 years.

If you're somebody who has an IOS device,

the Beyerdynamic Byron won't work along

with your phone, so you know which one to pick.

Alright guys!

I think that was a quick video telling you about

both these earphones

can't go wrong with either of them

they're great earphones.

Thank you so much for your time,

I hope this was useful.

LOVE NIKKI DECOMPOSITION AND RECONSTRUCTION GAMEPLAY GUIDE! - Duration: 19:37.

previously I've done a decomposition video and this time I'm going to do a

decomposition and a reconstruction video just to really bring those two aspects

of the game together and I'm just gonna start off with a quick decomposition

refresher so that we know what's going on and in case some of you guys haven't

seen my previous video so let's start with this little symbol if you look

under decomposition you'll see evolvable and orange customizable and green design

material in brown and or purple I can't tell and class material in teal these

ones are going to be symbols that you might see on your items so for example

for gourds that when I just selected right now it has available customizable

and design material so this means that this particular item can be used to

evolve so let's go to here and recipe workshops and evolution we can evolve it

so gourds is here this is one of the available things the second thing you

can do is you can customize it so gourds again you can make it primary which is

brown or actually I think it was black first and then you can change it doesn't

matter so you can either make it brown or black and the third thing was that it

was part of a recipe I'm not entirely sure which recipe it's a part of right

now but the best thing you can do is go on love Nikki's info and then search

gourds and then see what type of item it built into so for example if I just

search gourds here or just gourd because it doesn't need to have the same entire

what is it called seam spelling we came to search here at the bottom over here

you can see what it crafts into and it crafts into chrysalis too and if you

really want to use it then sure you can say five of them and then make chrysalis

is tail so the problem with this one is that you don't necessarily know if it's

going to be part of a recipe in the future and it most likely will because

there's so many items in my opinion I'm just gonna assume that this is what's

going to happen and then it says that I need five so that means that as long as

I have five plus one which is a black in case I want to recolor

then I meet six chords in total so that means that technically can get rid of

the 13 chords I have right here but another thing you should take into

consideration is that these items only show up if you already have one of them

so this means that I actually have 20 gourds and that I don't actually need a

safe six but I'm gonna say five so do you get what how I got to that number so

five because I need it for the recipe craft one because I want to customize it

it's six but then I already have one that is saved for sure because you can

only decompose clothes that have more than one item so that means I already

have one in the bank no matter what so I can say that's the original so

technically I only need five I know that is like a little confusing but it does

work out in the end you can slowly like calculate all other things that you need

and just for you guys to know if you accent okay so let's say you've worked

really hard and then you ended up selecting these but you accidentally

selected an extra gourd and you're like crap I don't want to decompose the extra

gourd remember that you just can't press the minus sign on the top left in the

green and then you're back at one so don't worry about it you don't you know

we select everything back because I know it's a pain to do so another thing you

can do is just exit if you don't want to select anything and then go back to here

so the second thing I want to talk about is just the heart if you look up on the

top left there was something called lost casket and if you get a hundred energies

you can use that to unlock the casket and then it can give you specific things

like stamina it can give you diamonds it can give you started coins

it can give you even item drops from the turret lady and that's why the turret

lady is such a difficult outfit to complete it's because you have to

decompose a bunch of stuff then you need to wait for it to draw and then you need

to evolve it to an epic form so that's really hard to complete and I've only

seen like for people who've ever completed so props to them let's go to

the last thing here and it's the heart so you see that there are different

hearts for this so at the top there's like two hearts then sound of Sumer has

five hearts and then some things may even have six hearts I don't think I

have any six hearted hairs right here but that's totally fine and the reason

why there's different heart levels it's because it gives you different things so

if you press the question mark beside the decomposition sign underneath the

coins right here in pink you can just go to

this page and you can see that you can randomly get it when you decompose three

plus heart items I think that the three plus is a little misleading because if

you decompose a four heart item then you won't actually get a hope ring I think

I'm pretty sure you can't that's why people are struggling if you decompose a

sweet heart am you're probably only gonna get hope rings and then if you

decompose a four heart item then you're gonna get a rebirth ring and then

earring and then if you decompose the five heart you're going to get the

eternal necklace so if you've been waiting the rebirth earrings to drop and

you think that you should have gotten it since you keep decomposing five heart

items well you're not going to get it unless you decompose the four heart item

this might be entirely wrong but I'm pretty sure I'm right and if I'm wrong

obviously clear it up in the description box and you can scroll to the very

bottom to see how many energy points you get up to five you get six energy points

and if you're not really looking for any eternal necklaces but you probably will

if you want to reconstruct something then it's best if you just decompose

five heart items so I just wanted to quickly go through what easy items you

can get that you can just farm from maiden chapters so for an easy three

heart item you can go to four of one because this is the place where you can

get a possible two items at the same time because sometimes you can get

dropped design director and knit black boots and I don't have any because I

don't really feel the need to at the moment because I already have 1,000

items worth and you can see me decompose at the end of the video for the design

director in the black boots that gives you three hearts each so if you do it

once and you get both you kind of have to three heart items so it's really easy

to farm if you feel that I mean although the NIP black boots can be customized to

two different colors that design director can't be customizable and it's

also not used to craft any other items so it's really useful to get these ones

so you don't feel like you're actually wasting items that you could have been

possibly using to construct something and it's also a made in Chapter so not

only do you get to spend for stamina it you can just do it the entire day

because there's no limit cap of how many tries you do I made it unlike princess

which you can only get three pictures a day another stage you can go to is seven

seven meted and this one gives you a three and a four heart item so let's go

to seven seven this one so Lance like brown and silent Rose so although

lamp-wick brown is needed to craft instant internat II and let of truth and

you need 30 and seven so you need 37 of those in total and then you can also

customize it to two different colors which isn't lamp with neon and lamp like

black so that's a total of another two so that would be 39 you can use this

lamp look Brown to decompose because this will give you three hearts again

but at the same time it's also gonna possibly drop some Rose so silent Rose

is a four heart item you do need it to craft camouflage coat maple leaf coat

elfs head where miss forest and textile leggings which is 22

coats you need in total at the very base if you were planning to craft any of

these you can use both of these drops to farm for things you needed to decompose

because if you think about it you definitely get the three hearts but you

also get a four heart so if you're looking to craft something that needs

like the necklaces as well then it's good to use the stage to farm another

stage I want to talk about is the one where it drops camellia because camellia

is a five star item and it's from a maiden chapter so let's quickly search

camellia and you can go to eight five meet and for this one this one is an S

drop so it's a little harder to get but it's a five star item so obviously it's

more worth it it's also a top item so it's great to just have that in general

and it's used to cut for other items called blue and white shoes knotting

culture cross pendant and vintage lady cap so all four of these items need a

required 1616 camellia branches in total if you're planning to craft it but if

you don't care you can just scored these branches and then you can just decompose

them in the end since these items that I've shown you

both of them are customizable or evolvable won't be automatically

selected if you use this option in the decomposition so if you look underneath

the quest material you see a circle that says select extra clothes so if I select

it these are all the things that it selects that don't have the evolvable

trait the customizable trait the design which illustrate in the quest material

trade so this is a great because technically if they don't have any of

these traits then they're useless you can't do anything with them you can't

craft them obviously you can't like make it into a different color so it's

so if you just decomposed it the last things I want to talk about is 93's

princess basically this one will give you 2's drops and then both of these

items are four hearts each so if you're really looking to make an eternal

necklace and you're like short on time or whatever you can just use this as

well if you are tired of just trying to wait for the meeting job but just know

that as drops are much harder to get and you need to get an s-rank in this

particular chapter stage in order to even be eligible to get the estra now

that's over we can look at the things that you can buy from the shop because

the shop always has different things that you can buy for coins and then you

can use that to decompose my favorite thing to get is either the northern

soldier or the peach sweetheart because they are both five heart items obviously

the northern soldier is not as worth it to get because it's 5000 coins and then

the peach sweetheart is only 3000 coins you're never going to be in a situation

where you think that oh if I buy like ten peach sweethearts in one northern

soldier it's going to be more worth it because any situation it will be peach

sweetheart would be the best option to get the next thing you can get is red

fruit which is this one it's five thousand coins the thing with this one

is that as long as you have a VIP or actually at six thousand I only have

five thousand because I'm VIP six if you have a VIP level these ones are all

going to be discounted for you and it's great that red fruit is discounted but

I'm never actually going to go and buy this one unless I have to the only

reason why I would buy it at least once is to get the item since I don't have

any right now I'm just gonna stick with peach sweetheart since it's the cheapest

one and I get five hearts and especially if I don't want to wait for any drops

and waste my stamina you can see that purple bowtie over here

is only 2500 gold and there's also this other one you can think about getting

its 2600 but like why would you buy a little deductive when you can just buy

purple bowtie and now it's like a hundred coins apart but if you buy ten

of them you're just gonna lose one thousand coins for no reason right so

I'm just gonna stick with purple bowtie if I ever need to buy a four heart item

with coins and the last thing I want to show you is snow pom-pom right here this

is the only one I really want to show you because you can get three hearts

from this and it's eight hundred eight and it's eight hundred coins so these

are the items you can think about I scoured the rest of this and there's an

actually not much cheaper items you can get those ones are the best things you

should go for it if you want to buy any items for decomposition and I think that

covers most of this and I can just put this in action I've been waiting to do

this video for the longest time because I wanted to collect at least 1,000 items

and then it would be kind of a mass decomposition video so right now if I

used to select extra clothing I only have 767 but I recorded a bunch of this

stupid apricot leaf dress and then I have nearly 200 of that so I'm just

gonna a select all and by the way a quick tip is that you can just hold it

and it's Alexa for you I might just go over 1000 and I'm just gonna see what

else I can do I also collected a lot of ice warrior I know where you actually

need ice warrior for a lot of different item crafts so for example you need ice

warrior for at least 14 different items I know you need at least 25 ice warriors

to make white wind which is part of the Snow Queen lady or whatever but I don't

care actually if I have more time I would really just go through every

single one of these and just check whether I need or not for example

remember how I said I need at least 7 gourds to or 6 to make whatever I needed

so I'm just gonna go ahead and start with this I don't need what I'm actually

doing is that I'm love Nikki's info and then I'm searching each of the different

items that I have it's because right now I just have a bunch of time and I have

nothing to do and I'm searching elegant tunable Matic for example and I see that

it's needed to craft six different items and that's a total of 21 there's also

two different customizations I could do so I'm not going to use elegance

gentleman and I'm really just looking at things I have a lot of

if I go to transfer student at Brown I can see that six items at least need

this to make and then it can have one different we customization better you

have that so that makes it a total of 22 because although there's six items

already crafted two of those I mean 22 of these that means I can just like get

rid of 46 of this so I think I'm going to get rid of 58 of this as for cloudy

day I only need 12 of it maximum so I'm just gonna get rid of 32 in this at the

end of the world if I overshoot because I can just get these from any of the

meet in levels again so I don't really care and I'm just gonna keep adding on

and you guys can see how I slowly do this

okay I'm legitimately bored of doing this I don't think I'm gonna do it a hit

mm maybe I just did 2018 because that's a year yeah I made it meaningful great

decomposed 2018 items in 2018 Wow magical great so I'm just gonna press

decompose right now Thank You Rico confirm so I got 32 lost caskets from

that I have so many this here we go 299 hope rings three thousand three hundred

three hundred thousand gold sixty two eternal necklaces 133 star coins 15

rebirth earrings and no stamp over my memory I was scared for a second because

I'm lose my stamina and gold it's in the last casket eight diamond oh okay well

I'm not gonna add that up maybe I'll just see how many diamonds I have so I

had five 1510 diamonds let's see how many I get at the end Tara card is

always a great thing so I already have all of these in like I need these to

make the turret lady I don't think I can make any at the end of the day because

you just need so many turret ladies so it doesn't matter to me anymore and I

only get one guy that's actually so sneak 15 diamonds well that's nice

twelve diamonds so that's already 30 diamonds I got from this I'm actually

not even mad that I'm getting dies cuz I really need dies anyway so it's great oh

I got a lately gained by the way I didn't notice so there was that it was

pretty good actually let's see if I can customize and not not customize let's

see if I can evolve any parts of the territories since you know I have got a

bunch especially the hair I'm hoping that I can at least get the hair

I mean like one more so do you see how hard this is out of 2,000 you still

don't have enough terribly I'm pretty sure I had one to begin with and you

need at least like 20 of them let's see how many turret ladies you need so we go

here we can go to Moe's guide you need at least 16 more of the hair so mm you

get around like four hairs and then that's over 10,000 items you need to

decompose and you might not even get all the hairs at the same time that's a

little misleading because you can just decompose a lot of five hard items in

order to get more energy points and then you can get more chances to get the

turret lathe but you know what like at the end of the day it's still really

hard to get and if you're going for that like good on you that's crazy

enough of that decomposition we can go to a reconstruction now because I

finally have a lot of these earrings and the necklaces so I think I might even be

able to finish the superstar let's check it out so I need the hair the socks and

I am just gonna do it over here so I make sure I don't overshoot oh I can

finish the suit today so I was so confused because I'm like what's going

on I don't have any of these yet so I can just make this but how many do I

need go craft maybe five of them so I'm gonna get four more two and I have so

many coins just from that decomposition things so it's like perfect I thank God

I only need like the first part of it because if I needed the extra part of it

then the rare what the epic would have been crazy

I can't make any more of these uh it's because I need more earring okay see

that's so bad because I assumed that I could finish all of it today that I

can't and even after he composing so many of these items I'm not even close

to being done with this because in total I need 32 more earrings and in order to

get earrings I need at least four heart items so that's a pain in the butt since

I don't want to decompose any of these four heart items yet how can we compose

this one but it's not going to make a difference anyways you know I'm saying

oh whoa and I didn't even get earrings so I'm just gonna ignore that well

anyways you can make a lot of these reconstruction and there are different

outfits that require with instructions or they're just full outfits that are

reconstructed only so you can just maybe check out your wardrobe see what extra

things you have because you might have a lot more extra clothes than you think

and you can just you know finish an outfit here and there and it'd be easy

diamond yeah so you get third Oh so you get 30 diamonds actually and you know

it's easy you're not really losing anything you get coins back diamonds

back I think we got so I'm gonna back a lot of dyes and it's you know it's just

part of the game so if you're interested in it tell me what you're gonna craft

and I'll talk to you guys later thanks for watching

The Hip Flask Guide - Gentleman's Gazette - Duration: 9:28.

Welcome back to the Gentleman's Gazette!

Today's video is all about hip flask and coat flask.

We discuss the history the do's and don'ts, what to pay

attention to, the different materials and anything else you want to know about

this classic gentlemanly accessory.

First let's start with a history of the hip flask.

Before the modern era consuming alcohol was almost a health measure

because it could disinfect and help to deal with not so clean water.

Some say it all started in the Kalahari Desert in

South Africa 60,000 years ago where people would use ostrich egg shells to

use as a canteen.

Earthenware containers evolved around 2,000 BC and

they were eventually replaced with glass and metal flasks.

For approximately 500 AD to the Middle Ages, Christian pilgrims would use

flasks to bring home oil or other sacred substances.

The flask as you know today is a modern beverage bottle and some

pinpoint its origins to the 18th century England.

The rounded edges of the flask were brought into a curved form that

matched the contours of the body in order to conceal it more than just a

square container on your chest or your hip.

In the US, prohibition made alcohol illegal from 1920 to 1933 but

nevertheless people continued drinking.

Of course it was better not to do so in public and a hip flask was really

helpful to conceal your alcohol consumption.

Interestingly people who carried hip flasks during Prohibition

were called hipsters.

Today we still have that word but it has an entirely different meaning.

Other terms used for people carrying flasks were vile villain, gentleman from

Kentucky or someone suffering from hip disease.

Flasks weren't just limited to the hip or the coat pocket but they

were also worn by ladies in their garters or by men in their boots which

is where the name bootlegging comes from.

Some states thought they were smart.

They made it unlawful to sell flasks or cocktail shakers but

ultimately it didn't work out.

Today, a flask is primarily used to just carry one's

own hard liquor if you know that you can't find it at the place where you're going

to.

So why is it called a hip flask or coat flask?

It's because it was carried in the hip pocket of trousers or in

the coat pocket of a sport coat, suit or blazer.

Carrying your flask in your trousers is much more obvious and it

also makes it more prone to breaking.

On the other hand, if you have a flask that's curved and shaped to match the

contours of your body and you combine it with a heavier jacket or suit you can

hardly spot it at all.

Flasks are great gifts because you can have them engraved

with little mementos, initials, maybe important events or other things that

remind you of something.

In terms of materials, most flasks coming out are

pewter, glass, sterling silver or stainless steel.

Sometimes you can also find something that is leather encased

but on the inside you'll always either have glass or steel.

The first material used for flasks was glass because of its

neutral effect on flavors and aromas.

Obviously it breaks very easily so if you're done drinking the contents of

your flask you're much more likely to break it and even hurt yourself.

Because of that pewter flasks were introduced which

is a mix of tin, silver, lead, copper and other elements.

While pewter ages very nicely and develops a sophisticated

patina and is not prone to breakage,

the issue is that it has negative impacts on

the flavors and the aromas.

In fact it's so bad that it's not allowed to be used

as a flask anymore.

Alternatively sterling silver was used for flasks and

today these older Victorian flasks are prized possessions and you can find

collectors paying top dollar for them.

As a consequence stainless steel became a lot more popular for flasks because it's relatively

lightweight.

It doesn't have off flavors if you don't keep your

liquors in there for more than three days.

It won't break and it's just something that can be covered in leather for

example or other items.

Sometimes you also find them glass lined or somewhat insulated so you

drop them the glass won't shatter on the inside but those are more expensive more

sophisticated flasks.

Stainless steel can also easily be washed with dishwashing

liquid and it's easy to maintain.

Some flasks even come with a small funnel which help you not to waste any of your

precious liquor.

In terms of size, a standard flask contains about 8 ounces or 240 milliliters.

You can also find much smaller ones but obviously they won't contain more than a shot.

An 8 ounce container, you get about 4 to 5 decent-sized shots.

So what should you fill in your flask?

Honestly, the best thing is hard liquors - Whiskey, bourbon, rum, vodka, brandy, Armagnac.

You name it, anything that's a hard liquor is

perfect for a flask.

That being said flavored alcohols are not ideal in metal

flasks because the flavor can change.

I'd also stay clear of beer, wine, sparkling wine

or anything else with a low proof content except maybe port wine because

that works well with a cigar and it's not something you often find if you're out

and about.

Some even say the best companion for a hip flask in one side of your pocket is

a cigar case on the other side so everything looks symmetrical.

For a stainless steel flask I suggest not to

leave it in there for more than 7 days.

Some people say they can discern some off flavors after three days.

If that's you the shorter you leave it in there, the better.

If you store it in a glass flask technically you can leave it in there

indefinitely but I'd still make an effort to consume it or fill it back

into the bottle it came from.

Alright what are the flasks do's and don'ts?

First of all, do understand that even though prohibition is long gone certain

states still have laws that prohibit you from carrying containers of alcohol in

public except maybe for the trunk of a car so it pays to read up on your state

law so you don't break it.

Don't attempt to bring a filled flask on an airplane

because the TSA won't let you.

Do carry to a wedding party maybe private places

or any kind of event where you are absolutely certain that it will be acceptable to

drink from your flask.

Don't just carry a flash purely to get drunk because that's not gentlemanly.

Also don't take a flask to restaurants bars or theaters with the intent to save money

on buying their drinks because that's just cheap and rude and those are both

things the gentlemen should not be.

When you are in company make sure you do offer your

friends a round, a sip from your flask.

After all it's hard liquor and its use as a disinfectant so you don't have to

worry about anything.

Also don't bring a flask to funerals or occasions where flasks would be simply

inappropriate.

Do prepare to definitely get some judgment from people but at the

end of the day if you enjoy it and you own it, that's all that matters.

I also stress, you don't buy kitschy shaped flasks

in the shape of a Nintendo NES, a banana or maybe an umbrella.

Stick to the classic shapes that are hard to

see on your body.

Most importantly don't carry more liquor in your flask that you

can consume without embarrassing yourself.

Do plan a safe ride home and don't make carrying a flask a habit or a

personal hallmark because that would be over the top.

Leave it for special occasions where it's appropriate.

That being said personally I'm not a huge drinker and I never feel the need for a flask.

That aside it also changes the seal of my jacket and I never

feel like I just can't wait until I'm back home or maybe at the party where

liquor is served anyways.

At the end of the day it is a nice accessory and if

you want to have your favorite spirit with you at all times, go for it.

In today's video, I am wearing a summery combination consisting of a

fresco jacket in grey which is part of a suit.

In this case I'm combining it with a pair of seersucker trousers, a white cuff

link shirt, a knit tie from Fort Belvedere in a mottled

blue and dark blue which you can find in our shop here,

just like the pocket square and the boutonniere.

I am carrying my flask in my right coat pocket because in my left one I have the

pocket square and so it kind of evens it out.

My shoes are burgundy double monk straps with silver buckles and I picked up the

same colors in my leather belt.

To tie it all together I opted for a pair of grey

socks that pick up the grey color of the jacket but at the same time it

contrast with the shoes as well as with the pants.

To learn more about how to combine shoes, jackets and

pants, please check out this in-depth guide here.

And make sure to get your free ebook about it.

Yazz's story - Horizon: Teenagers vs Cancer: A User's Guide - BBC - Duration: 5:18.

All around the country one of the biggest challenges for treating young

teenagers is when their family lives a long way from a principal cancer hospital

Like Yazz and her family. We brought her up to Tristana's on the

Sunday evening and we got told two or three days later that what she has is

AML which is acute myeloid leukemia.

The treatment started quite soon because I

started going getting poorly quite quick got told that we weren't going back to

Plymouth until it was all finished.

And how long ago has that been?

Six months nearly now it's quite a while

The treatment has been

so intense it's left Yazz temporarily in a wheelchair.

So then what have we got today? We've got daybeds today haven't we? Em hum

Yazz was quite poorly a lot of sweating a lot of shakin went through two bouts of

chemo then her blood pressure started raising she ended up in intensive care

with sepsis very poorly we didn't think she was gonna pull through at one point

Yazz needed a stem cell transplant and is now recovering slowly from that for the

past six months Yazz's mum, dad, brothers and sisters have

been split with a hundred and twenty miles between them.

For families like this

charities such as CLIC Sargent fund accommodation that is just minutes from

the hospital.

This is our home away from home

Sam's house come and have a look around

This is the lounge big enough to fit my

brother's wheelchair in so he can come and watch films aswell.

This is the teenage room further down the corridor

Huh! We have the social workers hiding

and then to make it easier for Yazz and our family we have a room right across

from the kitchen this is big enough to fit the whole family in with two people

on the floor but we've got blow up beds

Yazz has been through a really really

hard time I remember when she first came in she was really poorly and she was

really quiet and scared and she didn't really want to engage with anyone which

I totally understand but as time has gone on we've got to know the real Yazz

seeing you know the side to her that I guess all her friends and family see at

home and it's been wonderful

oh it's cold today.

Yazz and mum Tara make

their regular trip to the hospital for monitoring on Yazz's blood

Oh it's chilly today isn't it?

It is chilly darlin it is

it's nice and sunny though

but the news is not what

they want to hear

Yazz has an infection

You alright? You sure?

Yes, yup

x-ray looks okay but her CRP was up and her her heart rate is up so because

she gets poorly quite quickly they want to admit her and it would be a couple of

days antibiotics hopefully won't it mm-hmm

and then out again back to Sam's house

hey

you okay?

need a cuddle?

no?

After another month in Bristol Yazz is finally able to go home to her family

the hardest thing was not seen Jess mainly cause Jess is my twin sister at

home even though we don't share the same room I know she's next door at Bristol

it's like two hours away you don't realize how close you are when you're

with someone and then when you get separated you realise how much you like

miss them and like need them more

it just feels like unbelievable in a way

because it just didn't feel like we would ever get back to Jessica's next

door

it's still kind of like we're actually home

I feel quite proud that I managed to keep my head up and get through it

But I'm also like relieved as well that is they get into the end and we can go back

to normal

Alex Audio Butler EARLY-ACCESS - Quick Guide (Dutch with English subs) - Duration: 4:27.

Welcome.

In this Quick Guide I will explain how to automatically mix the sound of your video

with Alex Audio Butler in Premiere.

After installing the plug-in can be found in the Effects/Sends module

of the Audio Track Mixer panel.

There are three variations: Alex Audio Butler Voice, Music and Master.

Every audio track has a corresponding instance

where you can give high level directions.

There is no need to worry about things like Hertz or dB

because in the background Alex is constantly realizing your audio-goals.

This is an example project from Adobe, with raw audio.

The raw material is fine, but the voice is lost in the music

and you can see the master is clipping.

The goal is clear for these kinds of projects: an intelligible Voice in the foreground,

Music with an appropriate volume that ducks during speech,

and a total volume ready for delivery.

On Track 1 is the voice-over, on Track 2 the music.

next is the Master track where all audio is mixed together.

Let's listen how it sounds now.

The voice has a correct volume, and is more intelligible because of the ducking.

Also there is no more clipping going on.

Sometimes the default settings already suffice.

By double-clicking the name the Interfaces comes up.

Click "Targeted" to open multiple instances simultaneously.

The interface consists of Settings and Volume Meters.

On the left you can see the original volume.

And on the right you see the volume after Alex Audio Butler's processing.

Here the music is a bit quieter, and the voice is boosted.

Music is the most importing thing to adjust.

Auto-Volume controls the target-volume for Alex in 5 steps.

Choose Off to control the volume yourself.

Auto-Ducking controls how much quieter the music will be during speech.

From Subtle, almost unnoticeable, to Contrasting, an obvious effect.

Have a listen

Auto-Volume of Voice is set to Varying Source(s) by default.

Alex will bring everything to the same volume,

for example multiple speakers, locations or takes.

Choose Constant Source for professional voice-overs with an already constant volume, like here.

Compression, also called Dynamics, can create a more tight volume.

From Natural, where it's barely noticeable, to Max, sounding like radio or commercials.

The Master also has compression, tying all tracks together

and giving the final mix a slight boost.

The most important setting of Master is Export Target,

creating an end-result that's perfect for online content,

or ready for tv or radio.

By experimenting yourself

you will quickly find out which settings you like best for your projects.

To finish up, let's listen how it sounds now

And for comparison one more time without Alex Audio Butler.

One more time with Alex.

That's how quickly you can be done mixing when you leave it to Alex Audio Butler.

Of course this video too is mixed by nothing but Alex Audio Butler.

I have appointed the screencast audio as music in this case,

so it moves to the background during my voice-over.

For more explanation, and tips & tricks view the rest of the videos in this channel.

When are the 2018 Wimbledon finals? The ladies' singles final is on Saturday 14 July and the men's singles final is a day later on Sunday 15 July

Wimbledon predictions Vicki Hodges, The Daily Telegraph - Madison Keys: "Analysing the numbers from the last 15 years we have a player who pretty much ticks all the boxes

So here goes. Take a bow… Madison Keys. The 23-year-old matches the average age of a Wimbledon champion [when you take the Williams sisters out of the equatation]

She's the 10th seed for the tournament [which is in and around the average ranking of past champions], she's a right-hander and she's flying the stars and stripes of the American flag so surely it's a win-win?" Chitrabhanu Kadalayil, The National - Marin Cilic: "If he can keep it together and learn from his recent experiences, he will win

His game is built for grass, as he serves and moves around the court better than most, but he needs to keep himself injury-free

" Jon Turner, The National - Roger Federer: "Sometimes it's best not to over complicate these things: the favourites are favourites for a reason, and when it comes to Wimbledon and Roger Federer, that tag has been justified far more often than not

Don't expect that to change this year as Federer secures title number nine. The Swiss world No

2 is more prepared than any of his rivals, both in terms of freshness and grass court familiarity, having once again opted to miss the entire clay court swing

" Tim Henman, BBC Sport: "I think Roger [Federer] and Rafa [Nadal] are the clear favourites if they are fit and healthy

In the next group, you could list a whole host of players. You would put [Novak] Djokovic there, you could put Milos Raonic if he is injury-free

" The Roar - Serena Williams: "Currently ranked 183rd in the world, this would be the lowest ranking she's held if she were to salute, 102 places lower than when she won the Australian Open in 2007 while ranked 81st in the world

The question is, does she have what it takes? Prediction: Huge call, but… champion

5 4 The Supreme as the Friend, Teacher and Guide - Duration: 3:26.

For real spiritual progress, I need three relationships. Firstly, the relationship

with the Supreme as my mother, my father and my friend. And in these relationships

I feel love and nurturing. And this love sustains me, but love is not enough. For

me to continue to progress, I need learning. And so I begin to

explore the relationship with the Supreme as my teacher. And so, as I go

about my day, I'm constantly learning about myself and observing my responses.

So I begin to grow but even love and learning is not enough I need guidance

because as we know all of us experience many obstacles in life and so many

challenges. We need guidance to show me the way through a lot of the roadblocks

which come my way. I think that relationships take on different flavours.

For a full life, I need all types of relationships to make me a whole and

complete individual. And one relationship I really love with my relationship with

the Supreme is as a friend. Because friendship is probably the most

sustainable relationship in life. And what I love to do is, I meditate in the

morning and I feel that connection I feel that closeness but then I step into

my day and during the day there are so many distractions, so many personalities

and sometimes I can disconnect. But when I keep God as my friend I'm able to feel

support and a companion that is traveling with me, throughout my life.

It's not my imagination, it's real. And this is why often, we call it remembrance

As I go about the day, I just remember my friend and when I

feel that connection that natural sense of support is there and it gives me a

feeling of resilience a strength to face the inevitable challenges that are

coming my way. I also love the relationship as a Teacher and a Guide.

How much is there to learn in life? I feel each day, I'm stepping into the

classroom of life and sometimes I make mistakes, things go wrong, but I feel that

the Supreme is educating me about how to live by my highest values and not get

caught up in all the stories, the justifications, the blame, the reasons, the

excuses, all that stuff but to remain in my self respect. And remain beyond that

state of mind. And I think when I begin to hold these natural relationships, as

we've been saying relationship is intrinsic, it's a natural way of

progressing spiritually, I'm able to feel stronger and stronger as I move forward

on my spiritual journey.

Le quartier de Vila Olímpica : ShBarcelona city guide (English and Spanish subtitles) - Duration: 3:47.

Welcome to Vila Olimpica, one of the seaside neighborhood situated

between Barceloneta and Poblenou, a neighborhood centered on a harbor and

a beach. The neighborhood´s full name, Vila Olímpica del Poblenou,

was born from the cutting of Poblenou in 2006,

giving birth to 4 districts of which this is one.

You will not be able to pass through this district without noticing these two immense towers, the two biggest

in Spain, at more than 153 m high: The Mapfre tower of the Mapfre insurance company

and the Arts Hotel designed by Bruce Gram and Frank Gehry.

In front of it on "Volunteer Square" there are two works of art. One is a statue named David and Goliath

by Antoni Llena giving an interpretation of the renaissance of

the old quarter of Somorrostro, which was a slum located here from 1882 to 1966 when Franco asked for its destruction.

when Franco asked for its destruction. Opposite her is the Marc statue

of Robert Llimós representing a genderless person wearing a frame dedicated to his son Marc.

Vila Olímpica is a very recent neighborhood.

This part of the city takes its name from the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games.

The whole area was redone and rehabilitated for the residences

of the athletes participating in the games. The port, initially planned for the nautical tests

is today a marina.

You will find on the Placa del Cobi the official mascot of the Barcelona

Olympic Games by Javier Mariscal which is represented by a cubic style dog.

It is thanks to this neighborhood that Barcelona opened on the sea to

become a Mediterranean city. Before the construction of the neighborhood

there was no beach. It is really thanks to the Olympics Games and the

renovation of this district that the city of Barcelona has turned to

the Mediterranean and become such a tourist town. The athletes' houses

became the residential district, and afterwards the architects took care to

make all that reusable. In front of the Hotel Arts is "El Peix" by Frank

Gehry, co-designer of the same hotel. This work measures 35m high

by 56 meters long and represents a fish which joins the sea. The neighborhood

also has a casino at the foot of the two towers just next to

numerous terraces and restaurants called "chiringuitos" to stop
