Waddup, humans?

Kurumi here!

And welcome to the Mobile Legends Boot Camp!

In this video, we are going to talk about the assassin, Saber.

Saber has a good set of burst and dash skills.

Our Spacetime Swordmaster, Saber, is an assassin hero.

I consider Saber as a burst assassin, since his skills really deal lots of damage.

Not only that, he has a dash skill that could save him from danger.

Now, let me share some tips and tricks on how to use Saber based on my experience.

I will also teach you some combos and techniques on the latter part of this boot camp.

But before that, let me explain his skills one by one for further understanding.

Saber's passive, Enemy's Bane, reduces enemy's defense by every damage he deals to the target.

Dealing damage to a target reduces their physical defense by a certain amount.

This effect stacks up to 5 times.

The effect last for a few seconds.

Saber's first skill, Flying Sword, shoots out four flying swords.

The swords will spin around saber for a short period.

Each sword deals a certain amount of physical damage to the enemies.

After a short period, the swords will return to saber.

Using his second and ultimate skill, will automatically make the sword fly back to Saber.

Upon flying back to Saber, the swords could still damage enemies hit.

His second skill, Charge, makes Saber charge towards a specified direction.

When casted, Saber dashes towards the specified direction.

This could also make Saber dash through walls, as long as it is within the range.

Enemies hit along his path, will suffer a certain amount of Physical Damage.

Saber's ultimate skill, Triple Sweep, attacks an enemy three times.

Upon casting, he knocks the target enemy into the air.

Then, the enemy is hit three times in a row.

Each blow causes a certain amount of Physical Damage.

There are so many items that you can buy for Saber.

You can focus on offensive items since Saber is an assassin.

For me, I choose to buy items that grants physical attack and physical penetration.

In my opinion, you can consider buying Magic Shoes for Saber.

Magic Shoes grants additional Movement Speed and Cool Down reduction.

This can help you cast your skills sooner to deal more burst damage.

Buying attack items such as Blade of Despair, can boost your damage effectively.

This item grants additional physical attack and movement speed.

Its unique passive will give you additional physical attack,

when the target's health is below a certain percentage.

The movement speed bonus can also help you chase enemies or escape death.

You can also consider Blade of the 7 Seas.

This item gives you Physical Attack and Health Points.

Its unique passive lowers the target's physical defense when using skills.

This is a great combination with his first and ultimate skill.

You might also want to consider Endless Battle.

This item gives you additional physical attack, health, mana regen,

lifesteal, movement speed, and cooldown reduction.

Its unique passive grants you additional true damage,

on your next basic attack after using a skill.

Triggering the passive of this skill also grants you additional movement speed.

You might also want to consider Malefic Roar.

This item grants Physical Attack.

Its unique passive grants Physical Penetration.

Also, basic attacks will ignore some of the turrets defense.

Lastly, you might want to consider Rose Gold Meteor.

This item grants Physical Attack, Magic Defense, and Physical Lifesteal.

Its unique passive grants a shield when the hero's health drops below a certain amount.

This unique passive has a cool down.

The item build for Saber really depends on the enemy's line up.

So make sure to read each item's description so you can adapt in-game.

One of the best spell to be used on Saber is Retribution.

You can use Retribution to farm faster,

You can also use it to slow enemy heroes, when you have the specific jungle item for it.

Using Retribution with Pillager Axe also grants a shield depending on your max health points.

This shield can be helpful for your durability during team fights.

In my opinion, the best emblem set to be used is the Custom Assassin Emblem set.

Custom Assassin Emblem could provide extra stats according to your needs as an assassin.

Set Bravery to its Max level because it can give you extra Physical Attack.

Higher Physical Attack means higher damage to be dealt by your skills.

Setting Invasion to max level will provide you Physical Penetration.

Higher Physical Penetration means higher damage on your basic attacks and skills.

Get Bounty Hunter to be granted extra gold every time you kill an enemy.

Since Saber could almost one-hit-kill enemies, this is the best thing to get.

This could help you farm more to reach your full items.

Set first skill to max level first.

Prioritizing this makes the Base damage higher.

That means, you can deal more damage with this skill.

Prioritize second skill less since his first skill is what you need for damage dealing.

Always upgrade his ultimate skill when available for upgrading.

As I have Retribution, I always kill jungle monsters first.

Make sure to gather both of the monsters before using your first skill.

This will maximize your first skill's damage output.

Use your Retribution right away to easily kill the small monster.

Killing it swiftly will lessen the damage taken.

It's also good to have your Retribution cool down sooner.

This will make Retribution ready when you face against the gold buff monster.

When using your first skill, make sure your enemies catch most of the swords.

With your passive, this will lessen their defense.

This will help you deal more damage with your ultimate skill.

Not only that, this effect could assist your team mates for an easy kill as well.

Saber is mostly picked to counter mobile heroes such as assassins and marksmen.

With his ultimate skill, Saber could almost 1-hit-kill an enemy hero.

Saber is mostly picked to counter heroes such as Fanny,

Claude, Hayabusa, Karrie, and other mobile heroes.

Before going in team fights, you need to know which hero you should target.

For me, I usually target damage dealers such as assassins, mages, or marksmen.

Just make sure to target the enemy hero that deals most of the damage.

So I suggest you wait for your target before going in the team fight.

As an assassin, it's your duty to be as sneaky as possible.

I usually follow a combo when going in team fights.

First, I use my first skill.

I make sure that my target catches most of the swords.

This will make the target's defense reduced.

Then, I make sure I lock the enemy hero I want to target.

Now, I use my ultimate skill to deal burst damage.

In case the hero is still alive, I use my second skill to dash behind the target.

Then, I use basic attacks to finish off the enemy.

Never underestimate your second skill.

Not only it could save you from danger, It could also help you chase enemies and go for the kill!

Additional tip.

Your ultimate skill can also pass through walls.

This will help you save your second skill for your escape.

The tips I mentioned are just some of the ways you can use Saber.

This video just guides you on how to use Saber, the Kurumi way.

So, once again.

This is Kurumi and that's how you use Saber.

PUBG Crossbow Guide (Tips & Tricks) - Duration: 5:34.

what's good everybody I'm blitz5 and today I'm gonna show you guys how to use

the crossbow in pub G for the Xbox one the crossbow is an interesting weapon in

this game because obviously if you're going try hard and trying to win a

chicken dinner at your best capacity you probably don't want to pick up the

crossbow or have this on your person however the crossbow is a strong weapon

to use in the game you have to look at it sort of like a single-shot sniper

rifle because the individual bullet damage is very powerful if someone is

not wearing any armor at all this is gonna be a one-shot kill from anywhere

from the lower stomach and above with the exception of this small area here

where it does 99.5 damage but if you shoot them anywhere from the lower

stomach and above head neck or shoulder areas this is going to be a one-shot

kill however this is where things get a

little bit tricky once an enemy player picks up any sort of vest this is going

to diminish the one-shot kill and you're going to have to aim at the head or neck

region so as a general rule of thumb I'm going to say that that's where you need

to aim for a one-shot kill because most opponents are going to be wearing some

kind of vest and then also the same kind of goes for a helmet the helmet is not

going to protect them from a one-shot headshot you can also hit them in a neck

for a kill for a one-shot kill but if they are wearing a level-3 helmet you're

going to have to go straight for the head this does protect the neck from

being a one-shot kill so that's the only place you're gonna be able to kill

somebody if they're wearing a level-3 helmet and a vest is directly in the

head so with that out of the way let's move on to the crossbow reticle and

scope after making this guide this has to be one of the easiest scopes to use

that first I had no idea what was going on with all these different dots but

once I explained to see you guys you'll see for yourself that this thing is

incredibly easy to use and while it might be tempting to want to use a scope

with greater magnification because of the system they laid out in my opinion

you're gonna want to keep this scope on when shooting at any distance first you

have to keep in mind that the crossbow is zeroed in at 25 meters which is a

very short distance and the drop off here is probably greater than you think

so the first thought you're going to see the top reticle is where the crossbow is

going to hit if you're shooting someone at the 25 meter mark every dot after

this is going to double that distance so the second dot is where the crossbow

is going to hit at 50 meters the third dot which is significantly farther away

is where the crossbow is going to hit at a hundred metres so that's double 50 and

then the fourth and final dot all the way at the bottom there is where the

crossbow is going to hit at 200 meters so if you ever forget just remember that

each dot is double the previous one and that you're starting off at a zeroing

distance of 25 meters unfortunately after the 200 meter mark you are on your

own here so if you're going to try and attempt to shoot somebody from a farther

distance away say 300 or 400 meters my only advice to you is to try to use this

doubling system and the measurements via the map to see how far they are away and

make your best guesstimated shot or you can just aim to the Stars and pray to

the pub gee gods now I'm going to quickly go over the crossbow reload

times and we're going to start without the quiver first because this is

normally how are you going to find the crossbow I'm going to track this by

shooting an arrow holding x2 reload and then see how long it takes to shoot

another crossbow so here's the timer here it takes 3.5 7 seconds to shoot

reload and then shoot again and then next I attach the quiver to the crossbow

and ran the same test so we're going from holding x2 reload all the way to

the point of shooting which took 2.73 6 seconds and this saves you around about

1 second to be exact this is 0.8 e 3 seconds and while that might not seem

like a lot this could be the difference between you getting off another round

and killing the enemy or you dying and over the course of 5 rounds this

actually saves you 4 seconds so is the quiver and make a break attachment I

would say no but it obviously is helpful in getting you to shoot off more rounds

consecutively at a faster pace all right and then lastly here I'm gonna try to

give you guys some advice on how to shoot moving targets with the crossbow I

don't have an exact system here but I think I figured out something with the

reticle that you can kind of use to help estimate your shots so at 25 and 50

meters which I'm shooting at right now the 50 meter mark all you have to do is

kind of shoot directly on where the green dot is you're pretty much fine at

that distance when you move to 100 meters you're going to have to

compensate for the distance and I notice here if you take the shot when the

target is within the crosshairs that are pointing out to the left or right you

should be fine and hitting the target you can kind of see me doing that here

and then when we bump this up to 200 meters this is where you really have to

compensate for that distance and the target should just be outside those

crosshairs that are pointing to the left and to the right so when the target is

just approaching that crosshair you shoot and that should give you the ample

amount of time for the crossbar to travel and hit that target at that

distance

all right so I hope you guys enjoyed that video if you did or you got

something useful out of it please consider leaving a like or subscribing

Jonas Blue ft. Zak Abel - Drink To You (Lyrics) - Duration: 3:32.

Remember when you said that all good things end?

I never thought that I'd believe you

But now here I am having lost a friend

And all the times I should've praised you

I know, my love, been showing off

How am I ever gonna get through?

'Cause I had my chance but I blew it all

And now's my only time to tell you

If the heavens crumbled down And the days we have are through, I'll drink to you

And when the silence is the sound I know the one, I know it too, I'll drink to you

If the heavens crumbled down And the days we have are through, I'll drink to you

And when the silence is the sound I know the one, I know it too, I'll drink to you (I'll drink to you)

I was out of touch, didn't know my luck You had everything I ever wanted

When I got lost, you came unstuck And drifted off of my horizon

So take me back, to where we began I'll be everything you ever needed

If there's one last shot, I'll give you all I've got Oh, Lord knows that you deserve it

When everything is said and done The truth remains, you were my champion

When everything is said and done The truth remains, you were the only one

If the heavens crumbled down And the days we have are through, I'll drink to you

And when the silence is the sound I know the one, I know it too, I'll drink to you

If the heavens crumbled down And the days we have are through, I'll drink to you

And when the silence is the sound I know the one, I know it too, I'll drink to you

How I Knew I was Trans: a Guide - Duration: 10:43.

I have a message here that has been sitting in my inbox for a few days

and I wanted to talk about it. Excuse me sounding the most nasally. I don't know

what's happening. For some reason the whole inside of my face is swollen. "What

questions did you ask yourself to get to your gender identity because I'm kind of

questioning myself now and I don't even know where to begin?" Well holy crap!

That's a big question. Thank you for asking it. I think it's a

good thing that you've asked that for yourself, but wow!

The short answer is that I can't tell you how to do this. I can't. It would be

irresponsible of me to do that. I can't ever speak for anyone else's truth except

for my own, you know? That's pretty much my whole shtick. It's like I really

can only speak for myself. I can do my best to suggest ways to maybe avoid some

of the errors that I've made in my life. I can try to do that, but I can't give

you the guidebook if that makes any sense. So with that in mind let's try and do

what I just said that I try to do. Obviously this question is about gender

identity which is something that is obviously relevant to me. And it's

relevant to a lot of people, but it's not relevant to everybody. But I want this to

be a video that is about everybody. Something that's really important for me

as I'm kind of navigating who I am in this world, it's the idea that even

though my experience is pretty specific into the queer world, my experience is a

very human one. As we all grow up and learn who we are and learn the things

that we love and are passionate about and that we go through, we're all asking

ourselves questions. And we're all hopefully answering those questions

honestly and over time slowly actualizing ourselves. I don't think

that's unique to queer people. I don't think that's unique to trans people. I

think that's something that we all can do. I often talk about asking questions

and answering them honestly, and I'll admit that it may be

frustrating because I never tell you what those questions are. But again I

can't really tell you what those questions are. I don't seek out or employ

any kind of specific methodology, you know, in my day to day life, that help me

resolve issues or overcome things. I don't do that because that

feels contrived. Something I think that can be deliberate is simply your intention.

My intention all the time is that I want to be open to the world and what it is

I'm actually experiencing. That's something that has taken me a lot of

time to do. I think so much of my experience personally has been based

around fear: fear of disappointing a father figure, fear of of just doing

something incorrectly and having it affect my standing socially in a

negative way. I have always been scared of everything. Not just the things that

feel right and good for me. I've been scared of everything my entire life. And

I often times have felt the most scared of the things that have felt right and

the things that have felt like me, you know? And I think part of that fear comes

from just the knowledge that if I acknowledge that this is something that

feels right and good, I can't ignore it anymore. I have to continue and I have to

do something with this. And sometimes that means it's gonna create more

problems in my life and that's terrifying. In order to ask the questions

and answer them honestly, I think first we not necessarily have to get over and

get rid of the fear. I think in so many ways that's impossible, you know? It's

really hard to overcome childhood programming when it comes to things. But

I think it comes from this feeling of safety that we all want, whether that's

with friends, family, pets, any sort of thing in your life that makes you feel

safe. I think that is a great first step to start with. If somebody doesn't feel

safe, it's really hard for them to be honest. And I say that in like a third

person but I'm really speaking from a first person. If I don't feel safe, I

cannot be myself and I am nowhere near as good or as accurate

or as honest as I could be because I don't feel safe. I think I'm gonna boil

my answer to this question down to a simple two-part methodology that I

think is something that we all can work on. Step one is find your safety.

Obviously there's a lot of things in our lives that are outside of our control:

the way people interact with us, the way people deal with us, the way people

handle our hearts. I think that's something that's always gonna be

outside of our control. But what do we do have control over? Whether it's a routine,

whether it's your friends, whether it's the way that you engage with the world

around you, do the things that make you feel safe and make you feel whole.

Draw yourself towards those things. And the second part for me is

seemingly paradoxical to the first step, and it's push your comfort

zone. Essentially, live. I spent the first like 19-20 years of my life hiding from

every single kind of question about myself. I was hiding from them. I was

doing everything I could to distract myself from actually asking any kind of

question about who I am and what it is that I like. I was kind of forced out of

my comfort zone, but I think in some ways it was the best thing that ever happened

to me. Ever since then, and I haven't done this perfectly, but ever since then I've

been committed to kind of pushing myself further and further outside of my

comfort zone, expanding my bubble into something that I can be proud of and

call a complete life. The questions that I ask myself are born out of experience,

you know? It's not just something that I can sit and ponder and then come to some

sort of realization about who it is that I actually am and what it is that I

feel about myself, and my identity, in my expression, all those things. That

can't be done in a vacuum. I really didn't interact with queer

people until like 2014-2015. I'm 25 years old and I feel like I'm just

getting started with who I am as a person. That's not to

say that I'm late to the party. There really is no timeline on all of this. But

I think it's a direct result of actually going out into the world and

experiencing it. And when that's done from like a platform of safety, of feeling

confident and feeling secure in your surroundings and the people around,

you can give that an honest attempt and you can experience a lot more than maybe

you could have if you didn't have that safety. So that's what I think. I'm sorry

I didn't have any like specific questions for you to ask, but again I

don't think it would be responsible of me to like give you a blueprint of how

to figure out who you are. Because it really only works in like a

really personal way. And I never want to influence how somebody sees

themselves. I want them to figure it out for themselves. And for me,

empowering people to get there is exciting and something that I want to be

a part of. I had a thought recently that made me a little sad, I'll admit, but in the end it was like a net good feeling. I was thinking about how scared

I've been of my identity and of my expression and of the way that I look

and move through this world, and the way that people perceive me. I was walking

home the other night and like a group of kids were just like straight up laughing

at me because I was really femme. Like straight up they were laughing at me.

There was a really kind stranger that told them off. Thank you kind stranger.

And of course I was upset personally, but I think a more metaphysical sense I was

upset. When it comes to anybody figuring out who they are and how they want to

walk through this world, regardless of if that's queerness or whatever, your

passion, your career, what you want to make creatively, that should be

nothing except a beautiful experience. When I'm listening to somebody talk

about themselves or something that they've realized or something that

they're working on something that they're passionate about, there's like

stars in my eyes. There's nothing I enjoy more in this life than sitting and

listening to someone just be themselves as they navigate this world. That is

something that is just profoundly beautiful to me. It does break my heart a

little bit that this is something that is a lot of times a really difficult

process. But for me that does not detract from the beauty of it. One of the reasons

I love what we've done here on the internet so much is that, is

exactly that. I'm on the camera talking about all these thoughts and

feelings or whatever, and very physically have changed over the years

here, but I feel like we've all evolved together and I love that so much. I know,

for every single person out here, how hard being yourself is. It's hard. It's

not something that's easy and I'm so proud of everyone that is giving it an

honest and earnest attempt in whatever way that they're doing. It's inspiring to

me. It empowers me to do it myself. And it's something that I find again to

be extremely extremely beautiful. So to the person that sent me this message, to

anybody watching this who who might be having some doubts or some concerns or

some fears about who they are and who they want to be in this world, I just

want you to know number one: I'm right there with you, and number two: I love you.

Because this is a mutual situation that we have going on here, and it's something

that I cherish. It's something that I treasure. And I just

know, I just know that we're all gonna be okay.

We are. We're gonna be okay. That's something that I know. I don't

believe, I don't think, I know it. I know it. So that's all I can

say about that. Thank you so much for watching this. If you have any thoughts

please leave them in the comments down below. I love you all so much and I love

Christmas in London Guide 🎄 Festive Things to Do in London - Duration: 2:30.

(bright, festive music)

- From mid November until New Year's Eve,

London is incredibly festive.

Here is how you can get in on the action.

By the way, if you're new here, I'm Jess

and I make videos for people who are coming to visit London.

(gentle, rhythmic music)

The most famous Christmasy thing to do in London

is Winter Wonderland, which is a huge Christmas fair.

But it's not really my favorite.

I recommend going where the locals go,

which is Winterville on Clapham Common.

It's a smaller, less crowded, cooler version.

At Winterville, you'll find the classic festive things,

like ice skating and fairground rides,

but there's also drag queen Karaoke, a secret tequila bar

and just much better food and drink options.

There are a bunch of ice skating rinks around London

and they're absolutely beautiful at night.

They do get really busy on the weekend,

so I'd recommend going around sunset time

on a weekday for better ticket availability and less crowds.

All of London's department stores

have Christmas sections, which are usually, like, insane.

They're a great spot to pick up

a London souvenir or a Christmasy ornament.

Before you head inside, make sure you check out

all of the department stores' iconic Christmas windows.

Every Christmas season, a bunch of winter terraces

and pop-up bars show up all around London

and they typically have beautiful winter decor

plus a menu of winter warmers to try.

There are a ton of Christmas markets

all around the city of all different sizes

and selling all different things.

To find out what some of the most popular ones are,

you could watch my video on Christmas markets in London

Scotland: Highland Games - Rick Steves' Europe Travel Guide - Travel Bite - Duration: 3:34.

Along with ritual and pageantry,

some festivals originated with a more practical purpose:

to train their men to be fit for battle.

Warriors -- whether in ancient Greece,

competing in the Olympics,

or clansmen gathering here in Scotland --

would go at it on the field.

And today, communities throughout Scotland

still host the Highland Games,

where kilted athletes from the surrounding countryside

gather to show off their speed, strength, and grace.

♪♪

A Highland Games is an all-day celebration

of local sport and culture,

like a track meet and a county fair rolled into one.

It's a fine day out for the family.

With a soundtrack of traditional Scottish music,

and clan pride showing itself in the tartan patterns,

the community cheers on the athletes and dancers.

[ Bagpipes play ]

The day's events typically kick off

with the arrival of a parading pipe band,

led by the local clan chieftain.

After a lap around the field, the competition begins.

In the heavy events --

billed as feats of Highland strength --

brawny, kilted athletes push their limits.

-Aah! -In the weight throw,

competitors spin like bulky ballerinas

before releasing a heavy ball on a chain.

The hammer throw involves a similar technique

with an iron ball on a long stick.

And the "stone put" has been adopted in international sports

as the shot put.

In this event, Highlanders swing a 56-pound weight

over a horizontal bar

that keeps getting higher and higher.

And, of course, there's the caber toss:

Pick up a giant log, called a "caber,"

get a running start

and release it end-over-end with enough force

to make the caber flip all the way over

and land at the 12 o'clock position.

Meanwhile, the track events run circles around all that muscle.

The races offer fun for all those attending --

including events for the kids.

[ Gunshot ]

And visitors from faraway lands are welcome to join in, as well.

Okay, I think I've found my sport.

Lifting what's called a "manhood stone"

is a standard part of these games.

Brawny lads impress their girls with a show of strength.

Why not? That's good.

Thank you.

competitors lift and carry the 250-pound stone

or, at least, give it a good try.

And it's not all brute strength.

Highland dancing shows off both athleticism and grace.

With years of practice, young girls dance

who toe their routines with intense concentration.

Within a few years, they'll likely be dancing

with the same mastery as the older girls.

[APPLAUSE]

>> Hello! Wow!

Thank you, thank you.

I feel very excited to be here.

I'm really excited to be presenting at the Film & Animation part of the festival, even

though this presentation has literally nothing to do with film or animation. [Laughter]

So if you feel the need to leave at any time, you know where the exits are.

Hello, everyone.

Again, very excited to be here in the city of Portland.

I've been to Portland once before and it was very fun.

I didn't get to do too much, but I did go to Voodoo and that was great and got to see

the Trailblazers play.

I don't know why I'm telling you about Portland.

You've been here.

If you don't know me, I'm a screenwriter, I'm a comedian, I'm a suspect in multiple

ongoing arson investigations, I'm a director, but most importantly, I'm a jazz expert.

You might be asking yourself, how did you become a jazz expert?

And that's simple.

Ten minutes ago backstage, I googled "jazz" and "shortest songs" and learned as much as

I could and now I'm here to pass those learnings on to you.

>> [audio clip] "Jazz!"

>> So, get ready for that.

So, what is jazz?

You're probably asking because you've never heard the word before.

Let me start off by saying jazz is bad. [Laughter]

It's not good.

It is garbage music for boring people.

If you ever meet anyone who says their listening taste consists of mostly jazz, you should

run because it is the exclusive listening choice of sociopaths. [Laughter]

Quick show of hands here: How many people think they like jazz?

Great.

Well, actually, that was a trick question because everybody likes jazz!

Every single one of you likes jazz.

It is a pleasant sound.

It's a human instinct to like jazz.

We just couch it in other sounds because it's difficult to understand and difficult to embrace

as a genre of music.

It's like when you were a kid and you would put your dog's medicine into a piece of bologna

so your sister would eat it as a prank. [Laughter]

We all remember doing that.

Jazz is in all sorts of popular music.

If you like Kendrick Lamar, you like jazz.

If you like Bruno Mars, St. Vincent, Beyonce, Michael Jackson, all these people, you like

jazz.

If you like Radiohead, you like jazz.

And I know you love Radiohead, because this is Portland and everyone in this fucking city

loves Radiohead.

Show of hands: Who likes Radiohead?

That is less than I thought.

Really? Really?

You don't all like Radiohead?!

That was literally less than half— I don't have time, how much, no, I don't have time

for this. [Laughter]

Okay, sorry.

All right.

So with my newfound expertise in jazz music, I'm going to give you all a quick and easy

guide on how you can make your own jazz.

You can embody the spirit of jazz.

It's not just about making jazz, it's about living jazz.

The first time I gave this speech, I was with a close friend of mine.

I don't want to name drop, but let's just call him Mr. Clooney. [Laughter]

He asked me, why would I need a quick guide to make jazz?

If you love jazz so much, why won't you take the time to make it well?

And he's right, so I said to him, George, that is a fair question. [Laughter]

You've got to give jazz the time and respect it deserves, but there are some

scenarios in which maybe you just need to make jazz on a very small scale.

Like, maybe you got drunk one night and signed up for jazz school and finals are tomorrow.

Maybe Jeff Goldblum challenged you to a competition at his jazz night in which the victor gets

to sleep with your wife and/or husband.

These are all real scenarios. [Laughter]

Maybe there is a man who is holding your entire family hostage and says he will

kill every single one of them unless you can compose the score for a Kohl's one-day sale

on jeans.

No matter what the reason is, the most important reason for you to pay attention right now

is because you all paid, you're already here, the exits are very far away, and you're going

to embarrass yourself in front of everybody if you get up and walk away now.

I gave you a shot.

You did not listen. [Laughter]

So, first thing you need to know about jazz

is that you don't just make jazz, you live it.

Part of living jazz is embodying the image of jazz.

Honestly, the image of jazz is probably like 50% of jazz.

This is one of my favorite jazz images.

It is depicting a poor Cajun blues violinist playing in the '20s.

I love it so much because I feel like it's both a sad and happy image.

His face suggests this deep depressive state in which he's performing, but his body language

suggests a bouncy happy rhythm.

I feel like that's a lot of what jazz is to me.

Sometimes sad, sometimes bouncy, but it's always vibrant and changing.

The image of jazz has strong roots in New Orleans' Cajun culture, and because of that,

it's very specific and can't just be imitated by anyone.

You can try.

I've tried, it's very hard.

You can't fake jazz because real jazz heads, like myself, we know when we spot fake jazz.

I know that you don't know when you spot fake jazz, because this is not an image of real

jazz.

This is the mural you can find inside of any Popeye's restaurant nationwide. [Laughter]

You have to stay alert at all times.

You can not fake this stuff.

Fake jazz will get you.

The next thing you need to know about jazz is, this is the little part that is kind of

film related.

The epitome of jazz to me can be found in movies.

As I said before, I'm a filmmaker and a huge fan of movies.

For the purpose of demonstrating what I consider the epitome of jazz, I want to use what I

consider to be the finest depiction of jazz in modern filmmaking, which is the scene in

Spider-Man 3 where Tobey Maguire gets infected by Venom, which turns him into a huge dork.

This is absolutely what jazz is.

Because jazz is snapping, and it's finger guns, and it's using the space around you

in a way that makes everyone a bit uncomfortable.

It's spinning random chairs.

It's holding onto a poisonous venom coming from space and getting inside you until it

ruins your personality.

Poisoning yourself? 50% of jazz.

If you don't have access to poison venom from space, that's okay.

You can also just smoke a bunch of cigarettes.

Get yourself that raspy crackly voice that real jazz musicians use.

I don't know if there are any kids in here, but I'm just going to say it.

Smoking is very cool.

I know you all think I'm joking, but this is a really good image of jazz and the filmmakers

knew that, which is why they just put "jazz" on the wall. [Laughter]

Now another aspect of jazz is obviously the look. [Laughter]

You can't just play jazz with anything.

They'll laugh you off the stage.

You got to go as dark as you can.

All black, if possible.

I mean, look at me.

Black shoes, black socks, black pants, black shirt, black sweater, black face.

You don't have a black face, get some shoe polish on it, rub it in there.

It's fine! [Laughter]

Just like everything, there's a storied history of racism in jazz.

If anyone gives you guff, tell them it's tradition.

Now even with all these dark clothes right now, I'm at like a 45 on the jazz meter

out of 100.

but if I take off these fake glasses I've been wearing to make you all think I'm smart,

and put on these real sunglasses, that's jazz. [Laughter]

Now again, I'm still at like a 55 on the jazz meter.

If I were to put on a big coat, or lean on the wall, or even just lower these sunglasses

a little bit so you think I'm kind of sleepy, that's upping it a little bit more.

Looking sleepy is like between 45-55% percent of jazz.

Let's say 50%.

The lingo of jazz, also very important.

50% of jazz.

The thing about jazz lingo is it doesn't really follow the rules of language as we know it,

so throw everything you know about the English language out the window.

From now on, people are shapes or animals.

For instance, nerds, squares.

If you're cool with somebody, you are square.

I know that's confusing, let's go on to one that's a little bit easier to understand.

If you have someone that is your friend, they're your dog.

But if you have someone you hate, they are a dog.

That article is very important.

Here's probably the easiest thing to remember.

If you know someone you like, they're a cool guy?

That's a cat.

If you know someone you hate, they're a turkey.

Again, people are shapes or animals.

The way I remember this one for myself is with a simple mnemonic.

Cats, they're worshiped in Egyptian cultures.

That's cool!

Turkeys, pilgrims, colonization, those dumb hats with buckles on them.

That's bad. [Laughter]

The music of jazz is the other half of jazz.

As I presented before, you've got the image of jazz and the music of jazz.

For this, I want to focus on two very specific types of jazz, and that's big band jazz and

cool jazz.

Big band jazz is exactly what it sounds like, it's jazz with a full band and they're all

wearing coats that are too big.

Cool jazz is also exactly what it sounds like.

It's jazz for cool people.

It's got a lighter tempo, it's very relaxed, and I also like the name "cool jazz" because

it suggests all other jazz is uncool jazz, which is correct.

[Laughter] For an example of the structure behind a cool jazz song, I'm going to take

a look at the famous song "Unsquare Dance" by Dave Brubeck.

[MUSIC] >> This is Dave Brubeck, by the way.

He kind of looks like if Rick Moranis and Jack Antonoff had a baby.

[Laughter] And looking like Rick Moranis is 50% jazz.

There are a lot of traditional cool jazz elements to this song.

It has a very persistent bouncy simple percussion that goes through the entire song.

It's just claps, sticks, and bass and doesn't really change up at any point.

The bass is super simple, just boom boom boom through the entire song.

The entire song is like seven minutes long.

You don't have to hear it, this is the important part.

Lastly, it's got this very light piano section you just heard, which I like to call the piano

tickle.

It feels like someone wasn't really playing the piano full time, and they just kind of

gave up halfway, which is important, because you don't want to do anything for too long

in jazz.

People get bored.

For the example of a big band jazz song, I want to look at what it probably my favorite

big band jazz song ever recorded, which is the song from those Chips Ahoy! commercials

by Benny Goodman.

[MUSIC] >> This is the greatest big band song of all

time because it's got all the necessary elements.

You all know this song!

You love it!

There's a big layered brassy sound covering the entire thing.

It's got the little horn thing that sound like the horn people are freaking out.

The song is way too long.

Seriously.

This song, the full version, is 13 minutes long.

Imagine listening to this for 13 minutes?

No, thank you.

And also, that's pretty short for a jazz song.

It's also got very basic lyrics.

This version has no lyrics, but in the original thing by Louis Prima, before Benny Goodman

made it famous, the lyrics were just the title of the song and nothing else.

And you don't have to do anything with jazz because no one wants to hear any words, no

one's really listening.

My last note on this song, I know it's called "Sing Sing Sing."

Fuck you.

Capitalism rules and language is not ruled by the things we decide, sorry.

Capitalism overtakes any creative endeavor you ever want to take.

It is now called the Chips Ahoy!

Song.

By the way, the real presentation I'm given on Sunday morning, that's also the theme of

that.

Capitalism takes over any endeavor, why bother?

[Laughter] Now, I did want to show you all how easy it

is to make jazz with the rules I've given you, so I composed my own fake jazz song.

I wanted to make something that was a mix between big band jazz and real jazz, that

embodies everything I said about jazz, so I wrote a song.

It's called "Now, This Is Jazz."

And I'd like to present it to you.

[MUSIC] >> It starts very simple.

Got those sticks.

Bring a little bit of layers on the sticks.

Then you get in that bass line.

That's going to be the entire bass line.

Same bass line for the entire song, it will not change.

But then you add in a little piano tickle.

Whatever.

Just throw it away.

Just keep going.

Doesn't matter.

Bring in those brass a little bit.

Okay, now bring in more brass.

There you go.

And now bring the entire band.

The entire band just keeps going for a little bit.

And before you know it, then the solo comes in.

And again, every instrument gets its own solo.

Because jazz is all about sharing, it's a team sport, I guess?

First instrument we're going to hear is the alto saxophone.

[Laughter] All right!

Then you got the lyrics, the only lyrics, again, needs to be the title of the song.

[CHORUS] "Now This Is Jazz!"

>> Now you go back into the music of it all.

You've got that big band brass.

This is the part where I come in and dance in your space, and make everyone uncomfortable,

but this is a stadium and I didn't realize it was going to be this.

So I'm just going to stand up here and wait for the next solo, which is the drums.

The drums always get the longest solo of the song.

A little bit longer than you expect it to go.

[Laughter] Easiest way to break up a solo is with another solo.

Andy, can we get that instrument, please?

For the purposes of this solo, I would like to show how easy it is by performing a solo

on an instrument I've literally never played before.

Here we go.

Hit it.

[CLARINET SOLO] >> And then you go right back into the big

band freakout.

[Applause] Thank you so much.

Oh, come on down to Kohl's.

We've got a sale on jeans!

They're standing right off stage threatening me.

Please just listen to the end of the song.

I really just...

I have a wife.

This song is longer than I thought it was.

I honestly did not think it was this long.

Thank you so much.

There's the freakout.

That's jazz.

[Applause] [Cheers] I want to give a big shout out to the city of Portland for making clarinet

rentals very easy.

That's genuinely the end of my presentation.

Agents & Brokers Learning On Demand: Guide to Compensation - Duration: 6:18.

{Dave} Welcome and thanks for tuning in to Agent and Broker Learning On Demand, a Marketplace original series!

In this video, we'll talk more about compensation for agents and brokers for Marketplace enrollments.

This is a topic we at CMS hear about frequently from agents and brokers.

As a reminder, throughout this video, the term "Health Insurance Marketplace," or "Marketplace," refers to

Federally-facilitated Marketplaces, or FFMs, including FFMs where states perform plan management functions,

and State-based Marketplaces on the Federal Platform, or SBM-FPs.

So, let's get started.

Compensation includes any commissions, fees, or other incentives in the relevant contracts you may have with

qualified health plan issuers.

In the Marketplace, similar to enrollments in coverage offered outside the Marketplace, compensation comes

directly from issuers with whom you are affiliated.

Neither the Marketplace, nor CMS, sets or pays compensation to agents or brokers.

In general, you must meet a few requirements to receive commission for a Marketplace enrollment:

First, you need to have an appointment or compensation agreement with the QHP issuer in

accordance with state law.

Second, you must have completed Marketplace training and registration for the

applicable plan year prior to assisting with the enrollment.

And finally, you need to maintain an active health-related line of authority in the state

where the QHP is offered.

To receive credit for consumer enrollments in the Marketplace, your information, particularly

your name and National Producer Number, or NPN, should be recorded on the consumer's application.

You should note that having a consumer add you as an Agent of Record is not the same as having your

NPN listed on the Marketplace application.

However, should a QHP issuer identify a particular enrollment with which you should have been

associated, the QHP issuer may add you to the enrollment even if you were not initially included

on the enrollment transaction sent by the Marketplace.

Issuers are required to confirm that you have completed Marketplace registration and

training for the applicable plan year prior to assisting consumers before issuing compensation for

enrollments by using the Agent and Broker FFM Registration Completion List.

If you think your NPN should have been included on a consumer's Marketplace enrollment transaction,

but was not, you should contact the respective issuer directly.

If you work with a general agency and they are responsible for paying you, then check with

them along with the issuer.

CMS encourages agents and brokers to keep written evidence that they supported a

consumer enrollment, in case issues arise.

Such evidence may include a consent form from the consumer, a broker of record form, or similar

documentation that demonstrates the agent or broker assisted the consumer at the time of enrollment.

An issuer may issue compensation if there is documented evidence that the agent or broker

DID assist the consumer, BUT the NPN was left off the enrollment, IF all other requirements have

been met.

While the vast majority of compensation questions and issues should be directed to issuers themselves,

there are a few exceptions when agents and brokers should contact CMS.

One of these is equivalent compensation.

The Affordable Care Act requires that issuers must pay the same compensation for QHPs offered

through the Marketplace as they do for similar health plans offered outside the Marketplace.

If you have evidence that this may not be the case, you can contact the Agent/Broker Email Help Desk

with your concerns and ample supporting documentation.

Agents and brokers should also contact CMS if they have evidence that issuers are using discriminatory

practices that have the effect of discouraging enrollment of consumers with

significant health needs.

In terms of compensation arrangements, discriminatory practices could include

paying lower commissions for higher metal level plans, like platinum and gold plans, that are

associated with higher utilization compared to lower metal level plans, like silver and bronze plans.

If you have evidence that an issuer's Marketplace compensation arrangement or marketing practices

may be discriminatory, you can contact CMS at marketconduct@cms.hhs.gov

or the applicable State Department of Insurance.

Again, be sure to include any documentation or records that describe the compensation structure

or practice in question.

CMS does not have the legal authority to pay commissions to agents and brokers or

mandate compensation.

The Marketplace does not play a role in appointments or compensation agreements between issuers and

agents and brokers and is not a party to the contracts between issuers and agents and brokers.

If you're looking for more information on compensation in the Marketplace,

CMS has several resources available.

Check out the agent and broker general resources page.

CMS has a Marketplace compensation tip sheet entitled

"Agent and Broker Compensation for Marketplace Enrollments" available to help agents and brokers.

Enter "compensation" in the search field on the general resources page or refer to the

companion guide for this video series.

In addition, you can refer to "FAQs for Agents & Brokers" through CMS's website.

For any additional questions or concerns on this topic, contact the Agent/Broker Email Help Desk.

Thanks for watching!

Lamentable top French guide slams standard of restaurants World news

French restaurants also struggle abroad due to rise of 'very easy' Italian cuisine, says La Liste

French restaurants also struggle abroad due to rise of 'very easy' Italian cuisine, says La Liste

The standard of French cuisine is on the slide, the head of the authoritative La Liste ranking has warned, despite a Paris restaurant being declared the best in the world for the third year running.

Beyond the top gastronomic hot spots, the level of cooking was sometimes "lamentable" said Philippe Faure, a former French ambassador who also heads the country's tourism promotion council.

"Thirty or 40 years ago you could cross the country stopping randomly every 20 kilometres and eat very well; there were good bistros everywhere. But that is no longer the case," he told AFP. "Without using a guide you can now eat better in Switzerland, Spain and in Italy," he added, when it used to be "the other way around".

Faure said that while high-end French gastronomy was thriving – with Guy Savoy's riverside Paris restaurant ranked the best in the world alongside French-born Eric Ripert's Le Bernardin in New York – it has "not succeeded in pulling up the rest".

"There are too few (good) gastronomic bistros in the big towns and not enough young people doing good things. "In the provinces it's lamentable, it's not good," he declared.

The admission comes three years after the French-based La Liste was set up as a scientific counterweight to the British-based 50 Best Restaurants guide, which had long been accused of "French bashing".

La Liste's "guide of guides" ranks the 1,000 best restaurants in the world by aggregating millions of reviews from guides such as Michelin to newspapers and websites such as Yelp and TripAdvisor.

Faure said that while haute cuisine is still regarded as the best in the world, with a revival in traditional French cooking in the US, more humble French restaurants were struggling abroad.

That was also because French cooking was more demanding and needed greater technique, he argued.

"Fifty to 100 French restaurants were closing every year in Japan (when he was ambassador there in 2011) while 200 Italian ones were opening. Italian cooking is very easy" in comparison, he said. "You can't go wrong. Pasta, conserves, sundried tomatoes and parmesan cheese keep for years.

"But in a French restaurant you have to have fresh salads, fresh fish sauces, delicate fine cheeses and that is infinitely more complicated and costly and it demands a lot of know-how," he said.

Ultimate Guide to the Best Christmas Gifts For Dogs 2018 - Duration: 12:29.

dare I say it Christmas is nearly upon us and the last thing you want to do is

to forget to buy the most important family member which is your dog of

course some Christmas gifts well as luck would have it here is a list of the best

Christmas gifts for dogs that they will not only love but that will also improve

their physical or mental health now I've split them into five categories

so you're certain to find the best present for your pampered pooch what

more could you ask for hi I'm dr. Alex from our pets health helping you and

your pet to live a healthier happier life so if that's something you're

interested in make sure you hit that subscribe button down below

so my first category is pet tech gifts we all love a new gadget or at least I

know I do but it's all too easy to waste money on

something that goes in a drawer after or weeks use it never gets recharged and it

never sees the light of day again get something instead that you're not only

used but will also help your dog to stay fit and healthy and my first item is a

Fitz Park activity tracker so there's no need for your dog to miss out on the

latest tech gadgets out there and how about something that not only tracks

your dog's activity levels but can also provide an early warning system to alert

you to the fact that your dog might be becoming unwell sounds too good to be

true well this is exactly what the fit bark two offers think of it like a

Fitbit activity tracker for dogs so the fit bark too comes in a small discreet

package it's got a super cool bone design and lots of kind of quick

changing colors that just get attached to the collar it's super I'm super

discreet your dog won't know it's there and you know they look great

so once attached to your dog's collar like I say they're not even going to

know it's there and that's really when the magic begins so the fit bark two

tracks how active and how much exercise your dog has had and it then compares it

to their normal scores as well as with other similar dogs it also lets you know

how well they are sleeping and when this is combined with activity levels you can

get some incredibly useful health indicators so activity levels you know

are they starting to fall as sleep becoming disturbed well they could be

sick you can track the improvement in your dog's activity levels as an

indicator that their arthritis treatment that used

it is actually working it's actually improving their comfort and quality of

life as your itchy dog sleep quality started to drop well they might be

having a flare-up of their allergy and they might be up to scratching all night

and you're just not aware of that so as well as fun you know this is one

Christmas gift that's guaranteed to help your dog stay fit and also stay as

healthy as possible so next up we've got the whistle GPS monitor so if you live

in the USA and you want to step things up a level then the whistle three might

be just what you're looking for as well as being an activity tracker is also a

GPS monitor and this allows you to know exactly where your dog is and track

their every movement you can even set up safe spaces online and what happens is

if your dog goes out of these safe spaces you get alerted straight away so

if your dog you know breaks out of the yard or you know heaven forbid if they

get taken then you're going to get alerted straight away now the downsides

to the whistle or that you know quite understandably for a GPS tracking

service a subscription plan is needed and all that tech means that the unit's

larger it's less discreet and not as attractive as the fit bark too but still

if GPS tracking is what you want then the whistle too is whistle three sorry

is exactly what your dog needs this Christmas ok mental stimulation is next

he ever thought how boring a dog's life can be sitting waiting for you to come

home or waiting for you to stop and play with them or grab the lead and take them

out for that walk that you've been promising them for a week well a lack of

stimulation can cause a lot of behavioral problems as well as have the

potential to worse and diseases like dementia in older dogs so keep your dog

stimulated with these food puzzle gifts and their happiness will definitely be

improved and first up I've got a snuffle mat so a snuffle mat is a great way to

make your dog actually work for their food stretch outs stretches out

mealtimes it reduces overeating and the concept is really simple you just hide

their biscuits in the mat and your dog then has to work to rummage to snuffle

their way through into every nook and cranny to get their reward you can think

of this as an indoor version of simply just throwing your dog's food out all

over the lawn for them to then look for you know it engages their nose engages

their brain it provides mental stimulation and far more enjoyment of

mealtimes you know compared to a typical dog who just vacuums up their dinner in

two and a half seconds flat so snuffle mats come in lots of

different varieties from simple wool versions to more complex creations where

you can actually vary what your dog has to do to get their food you'll still

need to supervise mealtimes especially in the early days to make sure that your

dog doesn't actually start eating their mat and you're also going to need to put

it through the washing machine every now and then just to keep it clean and keep

it hygienic but nonetheless a stuff all that could make the perfect Christmas

gift for your dog this Christmas do you feed your dog a wet food rather than a

dry food but like the idea of stuff or mats well don't worry a licky mat is the

perfect alternative so these rubber mats they're designed to have wet food or a

treat added bit like peanut butter and the ridges and the fingers then make it

a challenge for your dog to eat whatever it is that you've spread over their

licky pad while they're you know not looking for it and they don't have to

look for it lists have to work hard to get their tongue into every crevice and

work out the best way to do that and a liquid mat is bound to be their sole

point of focus for quite some time again it's a perfect way to spread out

mealtimes but it's also a great distraction for an anxious dog through

something like fireworks or thunderstorms okay so next up we have

the humble Kong and no dog Christmas gift guide won't be complete without two

Kong so these are virtually indestructible rubber toys they're

perfect for stuffing with treats and they provide hours of entertainment for

your dog if they suffer from separation anxiety fear of fireworks again or if

they're just left to their own devices for hours on end then you simply must

get your dog a calm while some people would be happy to leave their dog on the

supervise with a snuffle mat or a licky pad you know like I said before I'd

always worry about the potential for them to eat parts of that which could

then have you know potentially serious complications with Kong so if you get

the right size and the right strength there's absolutely tiny chance of your

dog destroying them they're really robust so they're definitely safe to

leave with your dog you know when they're not supervised so get one it's

that simple now my last mental stimulation toy is just a treat ball so

these are hollow balls they can be filled with kibble

then the hole means that when the ball is rolled the biscuits slowly fall out

it's important to get the right size for your dog too small and they end up may

end up just chewing and destroying the ball itself to large and they might get

their jaw stuck in the dispensing hole and certainly on reviews I've seen this

is a real a main problem funkin of our tiny toy breed dogs you know every dog

enjoys different challenges and it might be that a treat ball is the challenge

that your dog will enjoy the most that's Christmas okay so my next category is be

safe be seen so Christmas means winter and winter means dark evenings this

though is no excuse for you not to take your dog out to exercise and actually

you're fit buck might be telling you off if you don't head out but it's vital

that your dog is visible so that you can see them you can see where they are

other people can see your dog and it makes it much less likely that they

could get hit by a car or knocked over by a bike you know should they wander

off although clearly a good recall is a must for any awfully dog especially when

it's dark and my first item is just a reflective vest so a simple reflective

vest it might not be the most fashionable accessory but it's certainly

one of the best and cheapest ways to make sure that your dog won't be missed

they're lightweight they come in a range of sizes they're super visible to any

traffic but if you're in a dark field by yourself then you still won't be able to

keep track of your dog because it needs that light reflecting off it to be to be

visible so a step up then is a vest with built in flashing lights turn them on

and your dog is gonna be lit up like a Christmas tree there's gonna be no

missing them if you don't like the idea of built-in lights or want something a

bit more robust and heavy-duty then you could instead choose a

reflective harness so there are some great ones out there I really like the

high quality ones from Julia's canine as well as reflective detailing and trim

they also have a built in torch holder and they of course come in a range of

colors and that really are built to last a lifetime

so if you combine your Julia's canine power harness with a light top collar

then again visibility won't be a problem there is of course an even simpler

option than a light top collar and that's to get a clip-on collar light

they're cheap they're cheerful they do a good job but they are only visible from

the front really they're definitely better than nothing but if you're going

to use a clip-on collar light then you definitely want to combine that with

something else to make sure that your dog is definitely visible on the dark

nights around Christmas so using a combination as with many things

it's definitely the best option there okay so my next category is a touch of

luxury now there's nothing wrong with the little indulgence of luxury over

Christmas especially if it improves your dog's quality of life and first up I've

got a memory foam bed so what's more luxurious than a bed that contours to

your body well the cold weather can mean that your senior dog becomes more stiff

than normal they might be struggling with arthritis now of course it's vital

to start a proper treatment program but one part of this can be buying them a

soft padded bed and even better than that is to buy a memory foam bed this

wraps around sore joints it removes pressure points and helps ease any aches

and pains if you've got a young dog or one who doesn't suffer from stiffness

you know and they're not in pain well they still deserve a comfortable bed

don't they you'll also want to make sure you get a waterproof cover to make sure

that they stay clean and dry and they really will last a lifetime if you look

if you look after them okay next up we've got a winter jacket so depending

on where you live Christmas again means winter and winter means freezing or wet

or both so what your dog there needs is a toasty warm jacket and this is

especially important if your dog you know it's not a quick with their own

winter coat so you know an extreme example would be a whippet got no body

fat and they've got really short hair or if they're just small and so more likely

to get wet through and or succumb to the cold so for mild weather you might be

able to get away with something that just covers their their trunk their

torso and chest but when temperatures really drop you want to get something

that also covers their neck so this is really important as a lots of big blood

vessels they run very close to the skin there and without insulation they can

result in you know a lot of heat loss when it's really cold or when it's wet

okay my last category is charity so Christmas is all about giving and maybe

your dog has everything they could possibly want you've got every accessory

Under the Sun maybe they've even stopped believing in Santa

maybe they'd be delighted with nothing more than a tasty pack of dental chews

but rather than splurge then on something that won't get used or you

don't really need consider instead making a donation to charity so you

could give you a lote local shelter a ring to see if there's anything that

they're you know they're desperate for instead you might want to pick a charity

that's close to your heart and working towards a goal that you really feel

passionate out you know there are so many out there

but one that stands out for me is a tractor called Street vet so this is a

team of dedicated veterinarians who volunteer their time to help care for

the pets of the homeless and you know they've got an Amazon wishlist they

accept donations you know as do many charities so the bond between homeless

people in their pets it's really profound and it may actually be that

their dog is the only thing keeping them going and that's where you know Street

vet does fantastic work to keep the the pets of homeless people you know healthy

and safe as possible and entertain you'll see from their their wish list

you know they do ask for toys and things like that because the mental health of

our dogs on the street are just as important as you know our pet dogs and

just as important as the homeless people themselves so you know that's the

charity suggestion but you know wherever you are and whatever charities close to

you I'm sure they would be more than delighted to receive whatever donation

you can give okay so I hope my Christmas gift for dog guide gives you a few ideas

of something that you can get your dog something that you know they'll enjoy

there like that will entertain them but will also be useful and also have

long-term benefits for their health and their well-being or will help keep them

safe and if you've got any favorite gifts that your dog or you know favorite

toys that your dog likes you know please leave me a comment down below and I'd

love to to hear from them and read from them and you know give give people other

ideas of what they could give their dog but until next time I'm dr. alex from

our pets health because they're family

Add a library research guide (Libguide) to course navigation menu in Canvas - Duration: 2:40.

Are you using a library research guide, often referred to as a Libguide, for one

of your classes? If so, would you like to make it easier for your students to

access it in Canvas? You can easily add it to your Canvas navigation menu using

the following steps. First, once you've logged into Canvas and

are in a Canvas classroom, select Settings in the left-hand navigation

menu. Now in the upper menu select the Apps

option.

In the search box search for Redirect. Click on the image for the

redirect tool and then Add App. Now, fill in the specific information about how

this option will appear in the menu and where the link will send students. First,

let's rename this Library Research Guide.

Next, we'll provide the link to the specific Libguide that we're using. I

have a Libguide open in another tab so I'll grab its URL and copy and paste

that URL into the URL Redirect box. Lastly, click on the Show in Course

Navigation box and then Add App. Refresh your page and you should see the Library

Research Guide option listed in the navigation menu down towards the bottom.

if you'd like to change the menu order, again go to Settings. Choose the

navigation option in the upper menu and then you can drag and drop the menu

items to reorder them. Make sure to hit Save at the bottom of the page. And

that's it! You now have a Library Research Guide link in your course

navigation menu. Students can easily find it and click on it to access your

research guide (or Libguide). If you have any questions about this process, please

contact the library!
