Recently I was playing around on Product Hunt .
And I came across this great product and I thought,
oh my goodness, I have got to tell my followers about this.
This website's called Appcues and I'm going to put the link down below in the description.
One of the things that they have on here
is a way to help you launch your product.
Let me show you how to get to that.
When you get to the Appcues site,
you go over here to resources, up at the top.
And go down here to Product Launch Planner.
And this is your product launch planner. This is really a cool idea.
It's going to help you successfully plan how to launch your product.
I'm gonna do a demo for you guys.
I already did one myself. So we're gonna see how this goes.
But let's get started.
You hit to Get Started button
Now, what is the name of your release?
Let's say I want to do a course about meditation.
And I'm going to call this Beginning Meditation Course.
After I put in the name, I hit Next.
How significant is your release?
On a scale from no one cares to the latest iPhone.
Okay, I'm going to say probably about a four.
I think the interest in meditation courses, especially for beginners is going to
be just a little bit higher. So I'm going to put it as a four.
Now that you've decided how significant your releases, you click Next.
What's the s made a date of release?
I'm actually gonna just put this for the 1st of December.
Now that I got the date in. Then hit next.
Do you have a sales team?
No, I do not have a sales team.
How many employees are at your company?
We'll only recommend tasks that your team has a bandwidth for.
Well, since I'm a freelance video editor, and I work pretty much on my own,
I put 1 to 9.
And next.
What's your work email?
We'd love to follow up after launch to see how it went
and how we can improve.
So let's put in my business email.
There we go.
And, what should we call you?
We're just going to put in Diana.
And then hit next.
One last thing. What's your company's website?
So I put in TexasTasker.com which is my website.
And get your launch planner.
The little rocket takes off.
Now it's producing my launch plan.
Product Launch Plan Results
Here's your complete playbook to launching
your beginning meditation course.
And what it's done here is it's taken everything.
Identify objectives and key results.
Finalized by November 1st.
And it goes through it says,
Why do you need this product?
How is this launch aligned with company and department targets?
So, it gives you things that you need to think about and that you need to consider.
And then I got another date down here, November 16.
Finalized defining message.
Finalized by November 16th.
Product messaging is as much an art as a science.
Before you start writing any copy ask yourself a few questions.
And it gives you a few questions think about.
My next date on the timeline is November 24th.
Built-in product tutorial.
And it tells you all these steps as you go down.
It shows you what you should do and gives you ideas at each level.
November 29th,
write a Help Center document.
And then down here at the very bottom,
you can actually download the PDF.
And this is what the PDF looks like.
It comes out in a nice straight timeline.
Giving you your dates,
What you should be thinking about,
Defining message.
And it's going to customize this depending on what you're doing.
And the size of your team.
I think this looks like a really awesome tool to help you get
your plans in order when you're planning a strategy and a timeline for launching your product.
So, if you want to try this and let me know what you think in the comments below,
I would be really interested to hear your opinions.
Thanks for watching and we'll see you next week.
