The Alamo Cenotaph, also called as the Spirit of Sacrifice, is a monument adjacent in The Alamo Mission.

This was built in celebration of the centennial of the battle, reflecting the names of those who have fought for Texas.

The Alamo Mission in San Antonio was established in the 18th century as a Roman Catholic mission and fortress compound.

This was the site of the Battle of the Alamo in 1836, a climactic event in Texas Revolution.

Within the compound, these storytellers relive the historical event in the Alamo.

The San Antonio River Walk is a city park and chain of passageways along the banks of the San Antonio River.

The Shops at Rivercenter is a shopping mall along the River Walk.

The Tower of the Americas is a 750-foot (230-meter) observation tower-restaurant and tallest structure in San Antonio.

Now in Austin, Texas

The Texas State Capitol is the statehouse building and seat of governance in Texas.

Tourists riding on scooters as they went inside the capitol grounds.

Kayaking in Lady Bird Lake, a river-like reservoir with a surface area of 416 acres.

The lake was named as such in honor of former First Lady of US, Lady Bird Johnson.

Hello Everyone, my name is Palakh Gupta and I am from India.

Presently I am working as a Team Lead Analyst, at i2k2 Networks, a global data center consultancy.

My work entails providing business solutions to organizations entering the world of data

driven decision making.

My fascination towards numbers, began through car rides with my father.

With his games, he inculcated his love for mathematics in me and after finishing my project

of a car resale prediction model, I knew analytics was the field, I wanted to build my career towards.

Apart from academia, I enjoy volunteering and wish to continue it at The Longhorn Center

for Community Engagement at Austin.

I am also a part of India Paryavaran Sahayak foundation working to eliminate stubble burning,

a chief reason for air pollution in India.

I look forward to working in collaborative teams of individuals from varied disciplines at the masters program

and together tap the frontiers of innovation.
