Hello everybody!
In this video, I'm going to tell you how to watch IPTV on a computer, and how to create
your own IPTV channel list.
If you want to know how to watch IPTV on a computer and what you need to make it possible,
this video will be useful.
This television standard has a number of advantages over other types of TV (cable and analogue).
Today, you don't need to buy and set up a TV tuner to watch IP television as the things
used to be.
Now all you need is a video player like VLC or IPTV player.
Also, IPTV has extra features like watching videos from the archive containing materials
from several days, rewinding or pausing live streams.
How to watch IPTV In order to watch IPTV, you will have to download
and install a special app for your computer, and find a TV channel list.
There are several suitable applications, the most popular being VLC, IPTV and PC Player.
I will show you how it works with the example of VLC and IPTV Player, and you can use any
other suitable program: they have similar functions, and it's easy to work with playlists
no matter which player you have chosen.
VLC Player VLC Player is a free versatile video player
able to show network streams and work with all popular operating systems (Windows, Linux,
Mac OS, Android).
You can download it from the official website by following the link below this video.
Just click "Download" here, or choose the suitable version from this list if you
need an app for a different operating system.
Run the installer you have downloaded and follow the wizard directions.
Accept the license agreement; don't change anything, except the installation path, and
click "Install."
Ready.
Start the program, and now add a list of channels in the form of an .m3u playlist.
You can find such playlist on the Internet easily; in the previous video, I've already
shown you where you can download one.
In addition, you can also look for a playlist at 4pda.
There are several ways to add a playlist, upload a downloaded file or specify the network
address.
To upload a file to the player, click View, choose Playlist, and drag the downloaded file
here, or specify the path on the left.
Then open it and double-click on the channel to watch it.
To
specify the address, open Media / Open Network Stream, or press the key shortcut Ctrl+N.
In the window that opens, choose the Network tab and type the network address in this field,
and then click Play.
To choose another channel, open the playlist again.
This is how you can set up IPTV and watch it on your computer.
IPTV Player Here's another application for watching
IPTV - IPTV Player, and the corresponding link is in the description as usual.
Download, install and start the program - just three easy steps to take.
Start the player and check the box here next to Expert mode.
In this line, enter the playlist network address or specify the path to the downloaded .m3u
file and click Update.
The list of channels will appear in this window.
To watch a channel, double-click on it.
In the settings, you can add a TV guide.
In this player, you can also add channels to your favorites, switch between playlists
and channels, and even record streams.
How to edit a downloaded playlist
If you don't like downloaded playlists, you can edit them or create your own one,
remove unnecessary channels or add the ones you like.
To do it, open the downloaded playlist with Notepad.
Right-click on it and select "Open with", then go for the Notepad.
In the window that opens, find the channel you'd like to remove and delete this line
entirely.
For quick browsing, use the search function: Edit / Find and give the name of the channel
you are looking for.
To add channels from another playlist, copy the line with the channels you need and paste
it into your playlist, adding the information about the channel in the end of the document
or elsewhere.
If you want to create your own playlist from the scratch, you need to decide on the channels
first.
Then use them to make a list in the text document and give direct links to the channels.
When the list is ready, save the document and then convert its format into .m3u.
After that, just open it in the player.
Remember, though, that such playlist cannot be updated automatically, so you will have
to do it manually.
If you don't like it, use direct links to the channels and select several ones that
you find most interesting.
The playlist should look like this: #EXTM3U
#EXTINF:0,!TVchannelname http://185.70.130.89:1234/udp/239.0.0.102:1234
The first line is the format of the file for which this playlist is intended.
The second line contains the information on the TV channel name and duration.
The third line is a link to the channel stream.
That is all, the IPTV playlist is ready - it's a file with the extension .M3U.
How to break IPTV playlist channels into groups
To divide playlist channels into groups, after #EXTINF:0 add group-title= and specify »Group
name:» like that.
Group name can be given in Cyrillic or Latin letters.
Don't forget to add the channel name.
Here is how a playlist divided into groups looks like:
#EXTM3U #EXTINF:0, group-title=»Avtomobil'nye kanaly:»
,!TV http://185.70.130.89:1234/udp/239.0.0.102:1234
#EXTINF: 0, group-title=»Kanaly Novostey:» 1 RUSSIA
http://185.70.130.89:1234/udp/239.0.0.62:1234 #EXTINF: 0, group-title=»Kino i serialy:»
24 DOC http://185.70.130.89:1234/udp/239.0.0.64:1234
After that, save it and open it with one of the applications described in this video.
Everything is ready: now you can enjoy watching IPTV from your own list of channels.
On the Internet, there are lots of web resources to watch television online.
This way, you don't have to download, install or configure anything - just go to a particular
website and open one of the channels from the list.
