If you're like us, you attend lots

of meetings with your boss, calls with your team,

maybe even video conferences with clients.

It can be a little daunting keeping track of it all.

What if there was a solution that brings together

AI and meetings?

I'm David Shaw.

And in this episode of AI News, we'll

look at a way to automate those tedious meeting

tasks you face each week.

A typical video conference call isn't very immersive.

In fact, when I think of conference calls,

I think about padded shoulders and 1980s office attire--

past the expiration date.

Imagine a solution that could modernize record

keeping by employing the latest AI guided recognition

technologies.

Let me paint a picture for you.

If you introduce an AI powered bot with facial and speaker

recognition tools, typical meeting activities

like recording comments and generating minutes

could be fully automated, capturing ideas and discussion

topics.

Intel senior staff researcher Jonathan Wang and Julio Zamora

came up with something that is just like that.

Combining their expertise, one in facial recognition

and the other in voice and speech recognition,

they developed a conference oriented multi-modal system

for reidentifying participants.

The system creates its own database

over the course of a video conference,

enrolling new users automatically and learning

on the fly how to recognize individuals

using a combination of speaker recognition

and facial recognition.

Jonathan and Julio took advantage of several Intel

technologies, the Intel Movidius vision processing unit, Intel

RealSense technology, and the eight microphone circular array

included in the Intel Speech Enabling Developer Kit.

These are, quote, "the perfect components

for this type of application because all you need

is good eyes, good ears, and an efficient brain.

Our algorithms are the glue that takes

advantage of these components to generate a complete solution."

HOW TO USE ONLINE OCR SOFTWARE TO CONVERT IMAGE TABLE TO EDITABLE TEXTS FOR EXCEL - Duration: 7:58.

hi guys my name is abdul latif from Tana River County for those who remember me

what's up group admin core hot one today I have decided to make this tutorial

video so that I can be able to share a few tips and tricks that can help you

achieve some of the data entry jobs within a very short time in this video I

want to use a very common example of the Excel assignment that we were given on

Thursday evening 26th October 2018 I hope you guys remember now before we

begin I want to mention a few things that you need to have for you to achieve

what I am about to show you first of all you need a computer with an

active internet connection to the soft copy of the assignment if you don't have

it follow the link in the description below to download it you can also take a

picture using your phone that is if you have the hard copy with you and transfer

it to your computer please make sure that the contents are visible when you

are taking a picture using your phone three you need a PDF viewer or reader

software I recommend Adobe Reader or Acrobat this

doesn't apply for those who will be taking pictures using their phones for

those who don't have one follow the link in the description below this video to

download it finally I need your attention now let's begin the assignment

is found in the Ajira digital program do online workers participant training

curriculum 2018 handout on page 45 for those using a PDF software open the soft

copy of the document and scroll down to the table of content on page two the

first item written digital marketing 1 simply double-click on it and it will

immediately take you to where it's located in the document when you do that

this is what you will have a table and some instructions here we can see a

title worksheet data management one individual assignment and next we have

some instructions that we need to follow it reads open Excel and enter table one

below into Excel put the variable names in the first row of your Excel

spreadsheet is there in table one this exercise should take you less than 30

minutes so basically what we are told here is to enter the data contained in

table one as it is into an Excel worksheet this means you will have to

enter data one-by-one in each cell of the Excel worksheet to the end for those

who are slow in typing it might take you more than 30 minutes to do so and for

those who are good in typing you will have to really struggle to make sure

that you finish on time and make sure you don't have any errors doing this can

be really tiresome and time-consuming since the table on the document is an

embedded image that means it's not editable so that you can copy and paste

the contents into Excel this is it now let me show you how to break the ice

within a very short time less energy and with no

errors kindly if you have taken a picture of the table don't follow the

steps that I'm about to give this is only for those using the soft copy of

the assignment document let's continue first go to the table in the PDF

document and click on it once it will select the table right-click on it and

select save image as option a pop-up window will appear and you will be

prompted to select where you want to save the image I recommend saving it on

the desktop since it is easier to locate now give it a name example table 1 and

then click on Save button what you have just done is basically extracting the

image from the PDF document separately after that confirm that the document is

on the desktop next open your browser and in the URL bar type www.blender.org

and put format step 3 convert now let's follow the steps first

let us click on select file and go to where we have saved the file on the

desktop at this point this is where those who have taken a picture and saved

it on the desktop can join us now let us click on the image file we saved earlier

and click Open button after that let's go to step 2 where we have to choose

language but by default it's English and that is what we want so we skipping it

to now choosing our output format we have Microsoft Word doc as default but

we don't want that what we want is Excel so click on the drop down arrow and then

choose Microsoft Excel finally click on the convert button now let's wait until

it finishes converting and after that you will see download output file click

on it and a pop-up window will appear click on save and you will be able to

download an excel file having the same name as the name of the image we

extracted earlier next step is to open the excel file and boom we have already

converted our document and now we have our editable excel sheet what we have to

do next is to perform some few fixes on the fonts and also confirm that there

are no errors now let's change the fonts and if you can notice the alignment of

texts in the cells are not exactly like the ones that are on the table in our

document to fix this select everything under Home tab we go to fonts and change

the fonts to calibrate the default fought and again under the same tab in

the alignment section choose centre alignment as you can see we have made

the changes and this looks good another thing we can notice is that

dates in the date column doesn't have the zeros for the ones that begins with

zeros as it appears on our original document and even if we try inserting

them manually we still can't do that it gets lost so to go around this we will

select the entire column and then right-click and choose format cells' a

pop-up window will appear and on the date type we pick one that begins with a

zero this one here and then we click OK and now we have a change to the way we

want them to appear we do the same with the next column

and now we are done this looks great so let's go and save our work go to the

safe icon and click on safe make sure that you know where your final

document is located we are done with our assignment within a very short time and

now we are ready to submit it just to make it clearer to you we have used an

OCR software to convert images containing text to editable file in case

you wonder OCR is an abbreviation of optical character recognition OCR is the

recognition of printed or written text characters by a computer this involves

photo scanning of the text character by character analysis of the scanned and

image and then translation of the character image into character codes

such as ASCII commonly used in data processing thank you for watching this

to convert text on images to editable text using a free online OCR within a

And this is your product launch planner. This is really a cool idea.

It's going to help you successfully plan how to launch your product.

I'm gonna do a demo for you guys.

I already did one myself. So we're gonna see how this goes.

After I put in the name, I hit Next.

I think the interest in meditation courses, especially for beginners is going to

be just a little bit higher. So I'm going to put it as a four.

Now that you've decided how significant your releases, you click Next.

What's the s made a date of release?

I'm actually gonna just put this for the 1st of December.

Now that I got the date in. Then hit next.

Do you have a sales team?

No, I do not have a sales team.

How many employees are at your company?

We'll only recommend tasks that your team has a bandwidth for.

Well, since I'm a freelance video editor, and I work pretty much on my own,

I put 1 to 9.

And next.

We'd love to follow up after launch to see how it went

and how we can improve.

Product messaging is as much an art as a science.

Before you start writing any copy ask yourself a few questions.

And it gives you a few questions think about.

My next date on the timeline is November 24th.

And it tells you all these steps as you go down.

It shows you what you should do and gives you ideas at each level.

write a Help Center document.

And then down here at the very bottom,

you can actually download the PDF.

And this is what the PDF looks like.

It comes out in a nice straight timeline.

What you should be thinking about,

Defining message.

And it's going to customize this depending on what you're doing.

I think this looks like a really awesome tool to help you get

your plans in order when you're planning a strategy and a timeline for launching your product.

Safety checklist software & app: Improve safety checklist and inspection completion and organisation - Duration: 4:28.

Hi everyone, it's Sam from Sitemate. Checklists and inspections are an

essential part of keeping worksites safe, demonstrating compliance, and doing some

auditing. So in this video we're going to look at how checklists and inspections

can be standardised, recorded, organised and tracked inside of Dashpivot, and how

setting them up as digital forms really makes checklists easier and faster to

complete on site on the mobile device or tablet, so you can see we've

already gone ahead and set up a daily site inspection template, no forms have

been created just yet, so I'm going to go ahead and click this green button up

here "add checklist" so I'm going to click on that button you see that we've

already got the fields set up as required so we can start to fill some of

those out, maybe we put in the date, inspected by me, zone inspected, maybe

it's zone 2, we can set up some checkboxes which is really easy

to fill out we can add some photos if we need to; so just a note on this if we're

filling out this form using the mobile device we can click add photos and take

a photo on the spot, add any comments and that will then be linked to this

particular form, we can add some comments and then maybe we want to add

some comments where we're referencing a sketch; we've got a sketch field so we

can actually open that up we can draw something, maybe this is the site

we want to add some shapes in here for whatever reason, we can add

some different items here, it's easy to move around and things like

that, we can add a sketch for reference hit "save" and then we've got that there

of course we can we can fill out this whole document

running through all of the fields, once we're happy with it, we can hit save and

then you'll see that that form is now sitting here inside of Dashpivot and over

time you'll probably end up with something that looks a little bit more

like this, where you've got records stored day by day if

it's a daily inspection checklist, if it's weekly

obviously it'll be weekly, but the cool thing about Dashpivot is that you can

convert all of these entries into a register with a single click,

so if I click register view, we've got all of these columns here which

represent all of the fields which we had, and that just makes it really easy to

filter for things, so if we want to look at all of the inspections from

this current week or the current month, we can apply a

filter there and it will give us what we're looking for, so it's a really fast

way to go back and find information, we can also filter by zone, so

the register view is just sort of visualising another way

of visualising all of the information which we're capturing, I've got

the photos there it's really handy, I would say with inspections and

checklists, we can we can export all of those if we need to, we can make a

selection here and then export to CSV if we want to push it into Excel we can

download the register as a PDF, maybe some things need to be actioned so

export it as a PDF, or we can download the individual forms so we've got we've

got a couple of options there if we open up any of these entries as well. You'll

see that we've got this send PDF option at the top so we can click on that and

we can type in someone's email address,

and then if we click "send email" they're just going to receive an email

that that contains a PDF version of this particular form, so that pretty much

summarises the way of tracking your safety checklists inside of Dashpivot.

We do have some free templates available inside of our template library so if you

go to templates and go add new template if you click choose from free public

template library you'll see that we've got a couple of safety checklists all

ready to go which you can just use straight off the shelf, and of course you

can edit those templates as required for your organisation. And that's basically

how you can organise and manage and track all of your checklists
