My field placement was at a preschool in Jamaica Plain.
My first HGD field placement was at the Boston Children's School, which is in Science Park.
I was at the Mission Hill Pilot School,

The Boys and Girls Club in Cambridge.
My Jumpstart site was the Ruggles Gilday Preschool in Mission Hill.
I was at Joslin Diabetes Center right down the street.
My field placement site was, in the fall I worked at a Boston Public School. In the spring semester, I worked
at the Boston Children's Museum.
For one of my classes I have a community partner and it's Boston Nature Center, a Mass Audubon location.
We are working on an initiative to convert people from standard energy sources to renewable energy sources.
I work at East Boston High School as an education adviser. Mainly that means I work with 12th graders to help them get into college
I grew up in this neighborhood, between Dorchester and
Roxbury. So, I'm really passionate about being involved in my community. I started Bricks to Excellence

Nurtury is New England's oldest early education agency, 139 years old. We do two things.
One, we provide direct services to about 1,300 kids in Greater Boston, and we engage
in a series of activities to help improve the field. We have Wheelock alums working
for us, we have Wheelock student interns doing internships for us, we have Wheelock professors
training my staff at the Learning Lab. Wheelock is all over Nurtury.
I started coaching about 15 years ago with kids all over the city. About 10 years ago, I started with Jamaica
Plain Youth Soccer and we created this program.
Wheelock has been hosting these policy forums for a very long time. When I was in the Legislature, I was privileged to have the opportunity to
address them. The 9th Annual Dialogue policy forum at Wheelock College allows a space for
the creation of the Put Mass Kids First Campaign.
There are so many opportunities in the city and I definitely feel that through Wheelock I've been given a lot of chances to kind of
get a glimpse of that professional world, from the moment I arrived here. I've had a
lot of opportunities to connect with Boston and I feel rooted here in a way.
