Jennifer Aniston, Justin Theroux Divorce Confirmed By Jason Bateman?
Jason Bateman did not confirm that Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are headed for a divorce, despite a made-up tabloid report.
As we've repeatedly reported, the spouses aren't having marriage problems.
FASHION CHANNEL can exclusively debunk this latest nonsense.
According to the Australian edition of Woman's Day, Bateman was overheard telling friends at a SAG Awards after-party that Aniston has hired a divorce lawyer.
"Jason was addressing rumors about Jen and Justin and confirmed they were in dire straits," an alleged source tells the magazine.
"He said Justin's had most of his belongings from their Bel Air home shipped to New York, and the couple is barely on speaking terms.".
Bateman and his wife Amanda joined Aniston and Theroux on a New Year's trip to Mexico, but according to the suspicious source, the actor "acted as mediator" between the famous couple amid their supposed fighting.
The questionable insider says Aniston is now gearing up to battle Theroux for "their recent assets, such as their LA home that she says she's invested millions into.".
"Jason said this could be Hollywood's next big divorce story, and it will no doubt see Jen becoming the victim again," adds the seemingly phony source.
"Jen is very much in a dark place, grieving the breakdown of another marriage that was bringing many painful memories to the surface.".
Gossip Cop, however, can confirm that Bateman never spilled details about Aniston's impending split, considering she isn't headed for one.
The actress and her husband aren't living "separate lives," despite the unreliable outlet's assertion otherwise.
And even if there was any truth to the breakup rumors, it's hard to believe that Aniston's longtime friend and frequent co-star would publicize her marriage problems at a party.
Regardless, the actress's marriage is going strong.
In fact, this latest article is a variation of a bogus story that FASHION CHANNEL debunked earlier this week.
We just called out the New Zealand edition of Woman's Day for falsely claiming that Aniston was leaning on Bateman as she prepares to divorce Theroux.
There's simply no truth to this ongoing narrative.
