The adorable moment Lacey-Mae rings bell as she finishes treatment - Duration: 4:43.

This is the heart-warming moment a brave young girl rings the bell at Birmingham Children's Hospital to say she has finished treatment for her brain tumour

Superstar Lacey-Mae Hale, aged 8, from Amington, Tamworth has been battling the tumour since her diagnosis just 11 days before Christmas 2015

Amazingly, the incredible Moorgate Primary School pupil rang the bell last Thursday to indicate that she has now finished treatment

Mum Sam Brady told Birmingham Live this week: "Lacey is an absolute star. She has been so brave

She knows all about it and what can happen, we have lost some friends from hospital

"At the minute she is stable. This is the best she has been in such a long time touch wood

It does feel weird now she is actually off the treatment. We are so used to going to hospital that now on a Thursday I don't know what to do with myself

I keep thinking 'I am sure I should be going to the hospital'."  Lacey has been through the mill these past few years with hospital visits, operations and chemotherapy

And Sam admitted: "It has been awful, it became normality. The hospital has been amazing though, they loved Lacey

"  Now Lacey is well enough she would like to go for a day out in London and the people of Tamworth are trying to make it happen

"London is something she has always wanted to do. We were going to see where the Queen lived at Buckingham Palace but she had to go in for surgery

After all the bad luck she has been dealt she deserves something good for a change," said Sam

Rob Bowker, also known as the town's clown Bibbledy Bob, has started the Send Lacey to London campaign and is teaming up with local charity Simon's Heroes

Explaining why, he said: "Simon's Heroes sent three children to Corey's Sports Bar to see Santa

Olivia Round had just lost her brother Charlie, there was Theo who sadly died from leukaemia and Lacey

"I met them all and felt compelled to do something. I put an appeal on Facebook and we went to see them on Christmas Day

Since then I have formed a really good relationship with the family. Now she is well enough to do something she is desperate to go to London

It would be a lovely touching end to it all.  "She loves chocolate and she loves Lego

I am thinking we get a limousine to the Lego shop in Piccadilly, M&M world, the London Eye, The Aquarium

I'd like to take Lacey's mum and dad and her little brother Jenson as they have all been through the mill

"Please give what you can and I will promise to make a very brave and special little girl and her family get a day they truly deserve

"  Justin Haywood, Simon's Heroes trustee, said: "We sent the family to Disneyland Paris a few years ago and I actually didn't realise it was Lacey when I saw Rob's post

I didn't put two and two together at first.  "I had a chat with the rest of the trustees and we said let's help

Whatever we can sort out between us, we are definitely on board with."   To donate to the cause click here

Any left over money will be donated to Birmingham Children's Hospital.

Cataract: Causes and Treatment - Duration: 2:44.

> Please explain to us what is cataract, what is causing it, and you actually have

an image that is going to help us better understand what cataract is? > Well if you

look at the graphic the 3D image that we have this is a great 3d image because if

we look right in the center of the eye that's actually done for a cataract it's

a little filmy, hazy, the lens that's the lens in the eye and we turn it to the

side the lens in the eye is inside the eye at about this level in a

twelve-year-old perfectly clear this is more the lens of a 68 year old or 74

year old. So it gets harder to see more difficulty low-light becomes tougher.

"gosh doctor I do all I want to do is see the baseball scores on the bottom of my

TV can't you please fix my glasses" when we look at that type situation Yes

that's the problem it's cataract, not your glasses. > So that film that you just

pointed out is that one of the symptoms of cataract? > Yeah. You won't feel anything

in your eye the only thing that will happen is that you will have vision

that's not clear. You'll think it's something else and your doctor will tell

you. Now I do need to make it clear every cataract does not need surgery.

Everybody in my office at 61 is gonna have something, it only needs to be

addressed when the vision really stinks. > Doc who is the best candidate for the

surgery that we were talking about? > Well the cataract surgeries interesting so

one of the few operations where your doctors doesn't tell you, and generally

you tell your doctor "geez doc I can't see" well you have a cataract your only

option is deliver that if you're happy if life is good keep going otherwise you

need to have it done. So it can be done at any age it should be done when the

vision is not good and can it be made better with glasses. I began my career in

the early 1980s cataract surgeries evolved enormously, it is incomparable

what we do now to what we did back then. Now it's really restorative... I will tell

you that you can see better than you ever have perhaps better than you

remember after cataract surgery. It is an exchange of a body part this cloudy lens

gets removed we get an artificial lens -- you actually brought -- so actually I have

that over here in front of you and this is the small little

lens implant this is a much larger version of it and I'll put that right

over here this is a larger version of that lens

implant and of course down in cements right at the top over there. So your lens

gets taken out new lens get put in this one is a representative of one type

there are different choices you have. When the patient does have canisters

we'll give you a choice this is what you could have what would you like a

terrific way to go, again not everyone has a cataract need surgery you're doing

well keep going until the point where you're really not doing well.

How to treat psoriasis on face at home | Psoriasis treatment - Duration: 3:15.

how to treat psoriasis on face at home at home

psoriasis on the face can be difficult to treat because the skin is very thin

and sensitive it is important that a doctor evaluates the skin and makes

recommendations to ensure the treatments will not be too harsh for the face

sometimes a person can apply over-the-counter topical corticosteroids

such as hydrocortisone to the face to reduce the incidence of face psoriasis

however a person should be prepared that application of hydrocortisone may cause

a variety of potential side effects such as thin transparent skin easy bruising

skin that is more easily torn

a doctor will sometimes recommend using topical steroids as sparingly as

possible they will suggest a dose that makes sure

that a person will get results while minimizing side effects

if the skin around the affected by psoriasis doctors will

advise taking great care when applying medications many over-the-counter

psoriasis treatments can cause damage to the eyes that can lead to glaucoma or

cataracts

however the United States Food and Drug Administration FDA have approved two

drugs for the treatment of psoriasis that may work especially well on the

face these prescription drugs are tackle amiss ointment and fine chroma scream

both creams should be applied very carefully avoiding the eyes

in addition to these topical medications there are several practices a person can

do at home to reduce irritation as much as possible

these include using gentle non soap cleansers to keep the skin clean

applying moisturizers regularly give early

sunscreen on a regular basis to reduce the effects of ultraviolet radiation

practicing good self-care will help a person control their psoriasis as much

as possible
