Hi, I'm Daniel Mueller,

and I'm the President and CEO of Volm Companies.

This year at the PMA, we're very excited about

the labor savings that we're showing off.

In addition to our consumable packaging lines,

which is what our company is really historically known for,

we also have an equipment division.

And we've been doing robotic palletizing,

but we've solved the problem

of doing consumer packaging into bins.

We've had some customers save anywhere from 14 people

on their palletizing line because of the

solutions that we can offer with that.

Volm Companies was started in the 1950s

as a general store by my grandfather,

and customers would come to him to buy used burlap bags.

And from that is how we came to where we are today.

We are the supplier for both

packaging and equipment for fresh produce;

it's our specialty.

The equipment solutions started about twenty years ago

when we saw that customers needed

more accurate ways of filling their bags

at higher speeds than by hand.

And we've just kept innovating up until today,

where we have our own facility out in Toronto,

where we do robotic palletizing and material handling

with conveyors and bins.
